MOLOCH - 'Die Isolation' CD (CSR210CD) - £8 |
|
Shipping: 11th May
A new opus comes from the woods of Carpathia. It is a despairing portrayal of the souls that are lost in the winter woods. Hypnotic sounds, like a thousand blades in a dance of a winter blizzard, leaving thousands of cuts digging into the body. Heart-rending screams of freezing flesh, summoning death, dissolving within echoes on the mountains. This album delivers cold, misanthropic and desolate mid-tempo, Nordic-influenced Black Metal, alongside melancholic Dark Ambient tracks. Crunchy distorted guitar minimalism, primal thrashing beats, and an overall raw necroish execution are reinforced by howling, tortured, grim vocals that recall the old Burzum era.
For fans of Burzum, Striborg, Xasthur, Trist, Darkthrone.

KEROVNIAN - 'Far Beyond, Before The Time' CD (CSR24CD) - £8 |
|
Shipping: 11th May
"Far Beyond, Before The Time" was the first genius offering of Kerovnian, spewing forth the bleakest, Blackest Ambient ever released. This music comes from the deep abyss, the bottomless wells, the blackest pits. Coupled with ultra low sonics, is the deep language of Kerovnian - words of a 1000 year old mixture of Persian and Greek. First released in 1999, "Far Beyond..." has received wide critical acclaim as an essential album of the genre. We're very proud to finally reissue this masterpiece! The album was m astered by Denis Blackham. The 2015 edition comes with 4 bonus, previously unreleased tracks, recorded during the same sessions.

MZ. 412 - 'Hekatomb' CD (CSR172CD) - £10.50 |
|
Shipping: Now
Hekatomb is the manifestation of MZ. 412's monumental performance @ Cold Spring's 21st Anniversary at The Garage, London, March 2011. The fortuitous congregation on that curse'd evening bore witness to the band's first EVER complete live line-up: Nordvargr, Drakh, and Ulvtharm. Powerful, pounding Industrial, desolate drones, dense electronics, grim nefarious rituals, reigned over by the malevolent intonations of Nordvargr. This satanic, blackened ritual from the creators of Black Industrial will evolve from memory, to history, and into legend. “Hekatomb” features different versions and interpretations of MZ. 412 material spanning 23 years. Presented in a 6-panel digipak featuring images from the ceremony.

TUNNELS OF AH - 'Thus Avici' CD (CSR206CD) - £10 |
|
Shipping: Now
“Firstly, the punishment is meted out day and night, kalpa after kalpa, without a moment's interruption or relief. Thus Avici”. ‘Thus Avici' is the second album from Tunnels Of Ah (Stephen Ah Burroughs / Head Of David ). The title references ‘the sutra of bodhisattva Ksitigarbha's fundamental vows', a section of which Burroughs reads daily in homage to Ksitigarbha whom Burroughs pledged ‘entreaty and supplication' under solemn tantric oath 20 years ago. Tantric buddhism, christian mysticism and personal magick make up the subject matter for ‘Thus Avici'. Where traces of 2013's ‘Lost Corridors' album can be heard, ‘Thus Avici' is a harder, more focused offering. Shards of distorted noise, ritual drums, caustic drones and haunted vocals make ‘Thus Avici' a dark hallucinatory swoon into the hinterland of the Tunnels Of Ah. The dull blue light of brute-world calls.

SOL - 'Where Suns Come To Die' CD (CSR186CD) - £10 |
|
Shipping: Now
Where Suns Come To Die is an exploration of growing older; the disappointment that follows and the omnipresent dissociation from the world and life as such. In a mixture of sampled classical songs from the beginning of the last century and recorded instruments such as reed organ, horns and strings the music reflects on a nostalgia and a feeling of disconnection to the modern world. Holding on to what last shreds of beauty still lingers Where suns come to die is a reminder that life is with end and we all must offer ourselves to the soil. Where Suns Come To Die consists of four tracks featuring Thomas Bøjden of Die Weisse Rose on vocals.

ASEPTIC VOID - 'Carnal' CD (Naked Lunch Records) - £11 |
|
Italian multi-instrumentalist Aseptic Void, has followed up their previous album "Psychosis" (Cryo Chamber) with an impressive continuation of dark themes and masterful use of static, haunting spaces in their music, including silence. The theme of the album is the flesh and abominations of the concepts of limit. A black hole of anti-identity in which to get pleasantly lost. The truth of the flesh is multifaceted. Ltd x 500 copies in a digipak.
• All Aseptic Void Titles |
ASOLAAR - 'Obliterate' LP (Metaphysik) - £12 |
|
Debut album from Argentina's Dario Pinto Calvis. Asolaar offers a hybrid of drone, power electronics and industrial, interlaced with tone patterns and subtle voices, creating a rebellious state under a blanket of electric noise.
His powerful electronics sound is intense, dense, at points vicious even - but fantastically produced throughout. This is the sound of a producer who knows his equipment and signal creation. Mastered by Rashad Becker. Ltd x 300 copies in a screen-printed sleeve.
• All LP / 12" Vinyl |
BARDOSENETICCUBE & LIEUTENANT CARAMEL - 'Silence Submarine' CD (Studio Forum) - £9 |
|
The first collaboration of the St. Petersburg project Bardoseneticcube and French musician Philip Blanchard, known as Lieutenant Caramel, who met in St Petersburg and communicated remotely thereafter. All tracks are built according to the traditional principle: one of the musicians provide the source material, the other processes it. Connoisseurs of creativity, both projects are easily able to trace the origin of most of the tracks, and this process is quite a fascinating pastime. Ltd x 500 copies in a card slip.

EMERGE - 'Frown' CD (Attenuation Circuit)
- £9 |
|
Three lengthy tracks (50 minutes) showcasing different aspects of Emerge’s musical personality, from contemplative to unrelenting. With a minimum of timbres, he creates varied and well-paced compositions that stand up to comparison with masters like Asmus Tietchens. Utilising a minimalist palette, Emerge treats and edits found sounds to create his compositions. Musique concrète, drone, dark ambient, lowercase, or sometimes even noise, "Frown" is an electroacoustic symphony of austere sparseness which reveals a surprising wealth of beautiful sonic detail to the careful listener, like patterns of colourful pebbles in an endless stretch of grey industrial dust. Card slip.

EMERGE - 'Oneirism' 10" + CDR (Attenuation Circuit) - £9 |
|
Both tracks here showcase the "dark ambient" aspects of Emerge's work in its purest form to date. "Oneirism" hints at the world of dreams, and while one side can be considered a cinematic rendering of a nightmare set in dark and glacial surroundings, the other is replete with immersive drones that are mysterious yet beautiful in an otherworldly way, making this release the dream of every dark ambient fan.
While deep, dark drones have always been an important feature of his compositions - as on their debut vinyl, released on Drone Records in 2003 - they have always been contrasted with other timbres. Here, Emerge goes more minimal and more bass-heavy , letting deep microtones envelop the listener, sucking them into a dream world. Ltd x 300 numbered copies, with CDR version included.

EMPUSAE & SHINKIRO - 'Organic.Aural.Ornaments' 2 x LP (La Esencia) - £20 |
|
Originally released on CD in 2011 (ant-zen), organic.aural.ornaments is based mostly on track-sources from Manabu (Shinkiro / Kotodama) supplemented by Sal-ocin (Empusae / This Morn' Omina / Tzolk'In). Both artists' aural characteristics merge perfectly:
Shinkiro's cinematic dark soundscapes with a meditative touch blend with Empusae's haunting ritualistic ambience and enthralling melodies, varied rhythmic structures ranging from tribal to minimalistic sequences loom out of the vast, lamenting synth sounds - a kaleidoscope of ethereal atmospheres, both enthralling and enchanting. This work contains 2 bonus tracks (ornaments) is totally remastered.
Artwork by S.alt. Ltd x 250 hand-numbered copies in a gatefold sleeve with insert.
• All Empusae Titles • All Shinkiro Titles • All LP / 12" Vinyl |
HOLZKOPF & EMERGE - 'Craft' CD (Attenuation Circuit)
- £9 |
|
Canadian artist Holzkopf is mainly known for his leftfield take on drum ’n’ bass and improvised vocals, while Emerge is often labelled a “drone ambient” artist. Here, they combine their respective mastery of synths and the processed sampled ambient sounds to create two textural, yet highly suspenseful half-hour pieces. Y-Ton-G, a long-standing presence in the German underground experimental music scene, supplied some of the source material for Emerge, with a predilection for the sounds of metal. The great achievement of the album is in the way it manages to combine seemingly concrete, referential sounds with abstract, brooding frequencies. The mixture of found and sythesised sounds creates a kind of cinema for the ear which conjures emotionally compelling atmospheres while never forcing any obvious visual associations on the listener. Card slip. |
K2 / ALLAN ZANE - 'K2 / Allan Zane' LP (Attenuation Circuit) - £14 |
|
Each 21-minute side of this
trans-Pacific noise album is dedicated to an artist from Japan and California, respectively. While certainly harsh, the music of K2 and Allan Zane offers a great richness of detail, which makes it less of a harsh noise wall than a noise mosaic. Each artist offers a different take on what it means to make noise: while Japanoise guru K2 maxes out anything there is on his electronic equipment, Allan Zane takes to his power tools. K2 credits junk electronics as sound
sources, next to the legendary TR-808 drum machine, used here for something decidedly un-pop and undanceable. After all, isn’t noise about destroying the official signal and creating something from the remains? Zane uses metal objects, power tools, effects devices, and overdrive on the recording, creating a piece that does not sound simply like ‘destroyed music’ as the title claims, but quite psychedelic in its textural, ambient quality. Ltd x 300 hand-numbered copies.

KARJALAN SISSIT - '... Want You Dead' CD (Cyclic Law)
- £12 |
|
Now 6 years since their last opus, we present to you the new masterpiece from one of Sweden’s most notorious act. So, Karjalan Sissit wants you dead, and after going through these new tracks you might not cease to exist but will definitely feel the blow and sheer brutality these new tracks exude. Intense, bitter and heavier than ever, this new work is to us the epitome of the Karjalan Sissit sound. It’s all still there, the pounding metallic percussion, deep angst ridden atmospheric passages and all is held together by Make Pesonen’s angrier than ever vocals. Karjalan Sissit is back, and more pissed off then ever, and we wouldn't want it any other way. Ltd x 1000 copies in a digisleeve.

KHEM - 'Nessua Redenzione' CD (Naked Lunch Records) - £11 |
|
A mix between sonic poetry and industrial ritualistic music, the beat-driven new album from Khem offers a powerful sensorial experience, lead by the sharp recital of Collettivo's vocalist Cosimo, aided by his fellow knob-twister Lunus (aka Devis Granziera) of the renowned italian act Teatro Satanico . Ltd x 500 copies in a digipak.

KRIEGSFALL-U - 'Kriegsfall-U' CD (UFA Muzk) - £11 |
|
Long awaited repress of Kriegsfall-U's very rare second album of Sacral martial industrial. The cult Hungarian project executes harsh militaristic holy roar, with a very interesting release issued by the musicians themselves in the distant year of 2009 (Ltd x 49 copies on CDR). An essential release for fans of early and Der Blutharsh and Wappenbund. Includes material from Kriegsfall-U's live performance at our 15 year anniversary in London. Ltd x 200 copies in a 6-panel digipak.

LE COSE BIANCHE - 'P*rnography Should Not Be An Illusion' CD (Naked Lunch Records) - £11 |
|
A die-hard package for really perverted listeners. Previously available only on MC, Aesthetics Of A Good Pornographer is a distrubing journey into the mind of a talented pornographer. Take part in this record, co-playing many of the tracks on the album, are some of the most significant exponents of the Italian and international scene and that have made the history (past and recent) of Industrial and Power Electronics: Wertham, Sshe Retina Stimulants, Macelleria Mobile Di Mezzanotte. Ltd x 500 copies in a digipak. |
MUSLIMGAUZE - 'Silknoose' CD (Aquarellist) - £11 |
|
Russian reissue of Muslimgauze's long sold out 1995 release (Daft Records, Ltd 800). Ambient-industrial with Arabian tribal dance influences. According to some, one of Muslimgauze's most impressive works. 15 relatively short tracks in a fast, aggressive album. The overall feel emphasises industrial rhythms and harsh loops. These are combined with vocal loops, percussion (tabla, drums, cymbals), occasional harmonium or strings at various points, and some electronic effects. This is an album where variety is the main driving force: interspersed between the fast paced majority are some slower, lazy paced tracks. A very enjoyable album edging towards the harsher sounds of some later albums. Ltd x 400 copies in a 6-panel digipak.

NOROESTE - 'Respiration Etang' CD (Aquarellist) - £10.50 |
|
Noroeste is the side-project of Gael Loison (?Dale Cooper Quartet). The debut album is an incredibly rough and scandalously powerful record - a pile of skinned and macerated electronics. This is a celebration of adventure, of accident and of the incredible voice of Zalie Bellaccico. Loison has already made a name for himself with projects TF, Maman Kusters, and the Moregeometrico geocaching sound experiences. |
ORDER OF VICTORY - 'Lost December' CD (Casus Belli Musica)
- £10.50 |
|

RAPOON - 'A Long View Across' CD (Aquarellist) - £11 |
|
Beautiful new album from Robin Storey's legendary ethno-ambient project. "The album title refers to the feeling you get when touching an artefact that was made more than 7,000 years ago, in this case stone rock carvings in the Cheviot hills in Northumberland. Spread out across the top of the hills lie huge stone tables carved with many petroglyphs weaving in and out of each other. The sites where you find the carvings are all places with fantastic views across the hillsides and lowlands. Places of great beauty and serenity. There is a sense of "being out of time" at these sites. You are separated from yourself and instead feel a sense of being part of a greater whole. A spirituallity, if you will. The sense of a connection with our ancestors and being part of a continuity. looking backwards and forwards ..a long view across" (Robin Storey).

VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Estigmas' CD & DVD (Twilight Records / Gradual Hate Records) - £15 |
|
The short film "Estigmas" is by Jose Brave & J. Luis Martinez. "During World War II, German scientists and occultists, in their quest for perfection, developed a substance capable of creating a mystical metamorphosis in men and enhance their human condition. A key to get in tune with the gods and achieve a higher level of existence. With the fall of Germany after an atomic bomb that razed the entire country and its empire, the substance called Futhark 5 fell in the hands of a secret society. This sect used the substance and its effects as an instrument of extinction. After one of these experiments, one of his guinea pigs escaped, developing the original effects of the substance, passing to another dimensional plane and posing a threat to the organized chaos". The CD features: The Protagonist, Puissance, Der Blutharsch, In Slaughter Natives, Mayhem, Kazeria, Turnavel, Suveräna Vanguard, Silent Love of Death, and Hyperborei.

LIEUTENANT CARAMEL - 'Early Tape Works' 2 x CD (Monochrome Vision) - £12
Despite its evident correlations with French electroacoustic school, Lieutenant Caramel's music finds much more common issues with approach of such artists as Brume and Nurse With Wound - surrealistic and humorous, breaking the rhythm of everyday life, using household inventory instead of real instruments. All tracks are specially remastered for this album. All this breathes, moves, obtains the voice and gradually becomes meaningful. MICHAEL GIRA - 'Songs For A Dog' LP (Lumberton Trading Company) - £17
Over the years, Michael Gira (Swans, Angels Of Light) has honed his craft into something more sophisticated without actually having lost sight of the power, emotional tugs, or even the simplicity of his earlier works. On ‘Songs for a Dog’, he has collected ten tracks (mostly culled from releases only available via his website, plus three unreleased tracks), that catch him in his purest form. Mostly built around his guitar and voice in a home studio environment, the songs here expose perfectly how he can function without the layers of sound he’s also often fond of exploring. These songs capture an artist who seems forever capable of pushing himself into new avenues. Ltd x 2000 copies in textured packaging, complete with insert and pressed on heavy vinyl.

RAPOON - 'Media Studies' CD (Aquarellist) - £10.50
This album from Robin Storey's ethno-ambient project is dedicated to the research of mass media's manipulation of people's minds. "These recordings include the voice of David Icke. They reflect on the role of the media in shaping and informing opinions (the war in Iraq for example showed the shameless use of the media by a government intent on war whatever the real facts were), and in furthering prejudices and persecution of those who have differing views and dare to express them. Any similarity to any one living or dead is entirely due to Quantum Physics, string theory and parallel universes". Ltd x 500 copies in a digipak with two cards. |

UMPIO + IRR. AP. (EXT.) - 'Observation Affects The Outcome' CD (Monochrome Vision) - £10.50
First ever collaboration between these Finnish and American sound artists. The album incorporates both of their styles, interwined a kind of disorienting and intricated attitude. Electro-acoustic treatments are applied to harsh noise and atonal ambient parts, producing a tapestry of disturbing and psychedelic soundscapes. Ltd x 500 copies.
