BHOBHAN SIDHE - 'Gas Chamber Music' CD (Supremacy Through Intolerance)
- £10.50
|
 |
This CD contains the complete discography of Bhaobhan Sidhe from the early 90's, namely 'The New Order' 7" EP, the 'Corpse Crater', 'Shower Power' and 'Jinx' demo's. The "The New Order" EP offers primitive rhythmic Black metal with drum machine, everything released after is monotonous electronic / ambient with total misanthropic orientation. The mastermind behind Bhaobhan Sidhe (and ex- Bestial Summoning guitarist) Cons committed suicide on his 35th birthday. After the Bestial Summoning re-issues this CD closes his legacy and we'll leave him to dwell in the pits of Hell! |
FORGOTTEN TOMB - 'Negative Megalomania' LP (Obscure Abhorrence Productions) - £13 |
 |
This cult album is finally available on vinyl (originally released on CD, Season Of Mist 2007). With their fourth release, Italian suicidal / depressive Black Metal band Forgotten Tomb continue on the twisted path they've been travelling, albeit with some new forks in the road. "Negative Megalomania" is oppressively bleak, with slow to mid-tempo dirges dominating. However, the band's evolution includes surprisingly clear vocals from lead depressive Herr Morbid. His usual tormented growls are now paired with more traditional singing, only making the grim, suicidal, lyrical content all the more crystalline. While black metal is an obvious stylistic touchstone, Forgotten Tomb also looks to classic doom influences, spiritually aligned with Bethlehem and early Katatonia. With atmospheric guitars creating a gloomy haze and colouring the aggression a moody, introspective shade, "Negative Megalomania" marks a comfortable fusion of metal crunch with funereal ambience. Ltd x 350 copies on black vinyl in a gatefold sleeve.

GULAGGH - 'Vorkuta' LP (Section XIII Coma) - £13 |
 |
From the ashes of Stalaggh begins the Gulaggh trilogy. A soulripping piece of audio terror. The most disturbing piece so far by these musical avant-garders. This time they used mostly classical instruments (violins, trumpets, saxophones etc). For vocals they used more mental patients than ever before, including over 30 screaming children from a Youth Mental Hospital! Ltd x 250 copies on grey vinyl.

HOROLOGIUM - 'Du Grand Désir' CD (Ur Muzik) - £11 |
 |
Recorded in 2011 and 2012 “Du Grand Désir” comes as no surprise to those who have experienced the intensity of Polish act Horologium’s “Tellurian Anthems” album. This new full-length CD delivers eight tracks ranging from ritual ambient to martial anthems and ethnic dances. This solemn and yet strangely uplifting release, where the Orient meets the Occident, is perhaps one of the most varied works to date for Horologium. With additional help from the Chilean artist Der Arbeiter on two tracks, and beautiful artwork by Stefan Alt (Ant-Zen), this release is a must-have for all fans of the genre. Comes as a 6-panel digipak.

MORBID / MAYHEM - 'A Tribute To The Black Emperors' CD (Warhammer Records) - £15 |
 |
RARE! This was first released in 1997 and is dedicated to Dead and Euronymous from Mayhem. Dead's first band was Morbid. Later he left the band and joined Mayhem. He committed suicide in 1991. Euronymous infamously took some photos of corpse and made necklace from pieces of his skull. In 1993 the then member of Mayhem Varg Vikernes (Burzum) killed Euronymous. The first four tracks are from Morbid' demo "December Moon" (1987). Among the members were Uffe Cederlund and LG Petrov (Nihilist, Entombed). Mayhem's part is a compilation. Track 6 is from great demo "Deathcrush", (1987) before Dead joined the band. Track 7 is from "Live in Leipzig" (1990). Tracks 5 and 6 were recorded in 1990. They are Mayhem's only studio recordings with Dead. |

SKITLIV - 'Skandinavisk Misantropi' CD (Season Of Mist)
- £12 |
 |
Skitliv is the brainchild of enigmatic singer Maniac, whose often erratic and self-mutilating performances as figurehead of Mayhem, the legendary founders of Norwegian Black Metal, remains shrouded in awe, mystery and revolting rumour. For 'Skandinavisk Misantropi', Maniac is joined by controversal Shining vocalist Niklas Kvarforth.
Skitliv deliver a bleak soundtrack to personal apocalypse: dark, loathing, hating and full of venomous spite. Adding to this miasma of hopelessness are the outstanding performances from famous guest vocalists Attila Csihar (Mayhem), David Tibet (Current 93) and Gaahl (Wardruna). Digipak.

NEW RISEN THRONE - 'Crossing The Withered Regions' Enhanced CD
(Cold Meat Industry) - £12
The sole member of New Risen Throne is known as Stielh (Vestigial), and is one of the grand masters of Italian blackened dark ambient. The previous NRT release "Whispers Of The Approaching Wastefulness" (Cyclic Law) represented the steps leading to the acknowledgment of the approaching end of all things... This new chapter "Crossing The Withered Regions" is the journey through wasted regions of our inner self, withered by our doubts, thoughts and fear about the end. This is the soundtrack to the world we live and experience at the very present. This is utterly dark and there is certainly no sun in the horizon. Enhanced CD with a special video-track, presented in a 6-panel digipak. |
 |
SKULLFLOWER - 'Strange Keys To Untune Gods' Firmament' 2 x CD

Each listen brings new themes to the forefront. Not easy listening by anyone’s standards, this is not for the feint of heart, but for those willing to submit and immerse themselves in the deep thick waters of self transformation. |
