ALEX SANDERS - 'A Witch Is Born' Cassette (Kieh! Kieh!) - £12
Alex Sanders (1926-1988) - "the King of the Witches" - was the most powerful witch in Britain. "Here, for the first time, he presents a full recording of the solemn initiation of a new member into the ancient Craft. Assisting him is his wife and High Priestess, Maxine, and a coven of their young witches. Alex himself is a hereditary witch; he was initiated by his grandmother when he was seven years old. For centuries the Craft was driven underground by persecution and intolerance. Today, though their innermost secrets may still be only told to witches, they can open a few pages of their Book of Shadows - and for those who seek to know more of this faith that is older than history, they can set up signposts to the way of Wicca, or wisdom. This record is such a signpost". Orange cassette shell. |
BEHEMOTH - 'I Loved You At Your Darkest' CD (Metal Star) - £14
A crushing salvo of black metal majesty replete with hellish riffs, thundering drum cannonades, and soaring liturgical choirs reminiscent of classic horror cinema. Behemoth's 11th album, "I Loved You At Your Darkest", certainly seems an unlikely title for a black metal band - especially one that called their last album The Satanist. "It's a verse from the Bible. It's actually a quote from Jesus Christ himself. For Behemoth to use it as the basis of our record, it's sacrilege to the extreme". Unlike "The Satanist", which was primarily recorded in one studio, "I Loved You At Your Darkest" saw it's production spread across Poland and the United States. It was produced by the band members themselves, with drum co-production by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames), mixing by Matt Hyde (Slayer, Children Of Bodom) and mastering by Tom Baker (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson). Which is to say nothing of the 17-piece Polish orchestra arranged by Jan Stoklosa and engineered by Tomasz Budkiewicz. "An impressive piece of dark art on its own terms, a well-constructed, layered, orchestral, operatic album that unquestionably embodies elements clearly associated with death and black metal." (Blabbermouth). Ltd x 2222 hand-numbered copies in a hard cover digibook with hot-stamped gold foil and spot-varnish cover. Comes with a
40-page booklet (full colour with black tracing paper), 'Trivmviratvs' woven patch and exclusive sticker. |
BEHEMOTH - 'I Loved You At Your Darkest' 2 x LP Boxset (Rockmark) - £60
Ultra deluxe CIS double vinyl edition of the above release. Ltd x 250 hand-numered copies on Siberian Snow White vinyl, spot-varnished inner sleeves and cruciform artwork. Presented in a stunning hardboard slipcase with hot-stamped gold foil and embossed cover art. |
BEHEMOTH - 'The Satanist' CD (Metal Star) - £11
While instantly recognizable as the work of the Polish blackened death quartet Behemoth, it takes their sound in unimagined directions. A writhing, densely layered, brutally violent and sinister record, offering ever greater sonic and emotional depths with every listen. It is as primitive as it is complex and multidimensional. The album is the most sonically rich and complex released under the Behemoth name. "The greatest extreme metal album of the 21st century... The Satanist took some transformative energy as well as overtly occult themes that weren't drawn from history so much as a personal call to enlightenment. Not just a response to the events of [Nergal's] own life, it was also a reaction to the more militaristically precise and calculating approach of its predecessor, and it stands in marked contrast to that record thanks to its broader, more cathartic emotional palette." (Louder Sound). CIS edition. Comes with 24-page booklet and exclusive sticker. |
CHARLES MANSON - 'Lie: The Love And Terror Cult And A Taste Of Freedom' Cassette (Kieh! Kieh!) - £12
The infamous Charles Manson album "Lie", plus a phone conversation regarding Charlie's philosophy. Charles Manson visited New York City in the early '60s with his guitar and his songs in a vain search for recognition. Later he had better luck in Beverly Hills, where famous musicians let him use their studio to produce this album. He has vocal backup from the women of the "family". During a stay in a San Francisco prison, he met a fellow inmate and gave him the album to release. While Manson was being tried and convicted of participation in his notorious murder spree, the government attempted to discredit the hippie movement by citing him as an example, hoping to stem the rising tide of anger among the population over the war in Vietnam. This album has achieved cult status among connoisseurs of '60s folk-rock. Red cassette shell with 10 mini cards. |
DARKTHRONE - 'Old Star' CD (Metal Star) - £11
Over the course of 30 years, Norway’s Darkthrone has become a staple of the global Black Metal genre, forging a legacy as one of the most renowned and influential bands in its illustrious and often infamous history. The longstanding duo of Fenriz and Nocturno Culto return with their first studio album since 2016's "Arctic Thunder" opus, in the shape of "Old Star". With a mastery and endless dedication to the art of the riff, the Norwegian legends cut through 6 new epic tracks, taking in the best of the old school of heavy and extreme metal plus a large dose of doom, channelling it through the grime of the underground. Engineering and production duties were all carried out by vocalist/guitarist Nocturno Culto, complemented with a perfectly organic mix courtesy of Sanford Parker (Voivod) at Hypercube Studios. Mastered by Jack Control at Enormous Door. The stellar cover artistry comes courtesy of Chadwick St John (aka Splinterskin), titled "The Shepherd of the Deep". CIS edition. Comes with exclusive sticker. Ltd x 1111 hand-numbered copies. |
DARKTHRONE - 'The Underground Resistance' CD (Metal Star) - £11
One of the original leading bands of the Norwegian Black Metal scene. "The Underground Resistance" was Darkthrone's 2013 venture through the metal cosmos, effortlessly bounding through the annals of classic metal, taking in heavy, thrash and black metal. All things considered, a ferocious and dynamic set of tracks drenched in Fenriz's & Nocturno's rich and diverse tastes in all things metal, primarily those rooted firmly in the spirit of the 80's. Six long and epic tracks. "The Underground Resistance" was written and recorded at Necrohell 2 studios by the band. Mastered by Jack Control (Enormous Door, Texas USA). Cover artwork courtesy of the iconic and celebrated artist Jim Fitzpatrick. "3 songs each, Ted's are flown from the universe of metal with his strongest voice ever so far. Songs of mine are torn from the wombs of the riders of Rohan of metal; safely cradled in 1985 style" (Fenriz). CIS edition. Comes with exclusive sticker. Ltd x 1000 hand-numbered copies. |
DAVID KORESH - 'Waco Siege Soundtrack' Cassette (Kieh! Kieh!) - £12
David Koresh (leader of the Branch Davidians cult in Waco from 1984 until the Waco siege in 1993) on electric guitar, singing songs of religious content of great intention, with added synths and female vocals. After a failed attempt at rock stardom in Los Angeles, Koresh engaged himself in the Waco music scene, booking local bands at the Cue Sticks club. He would invite them back to Mount Carmel for jam sessions, hoping to recruit them into the church. The Davidians had a comprehensive music set-up, with a vast selection of instruments and an elaborate sound and recording system. During the 51-day siege of the Davidians by the FBI and due to the deadlock in negotiations, the authorities cut power to the cult complex and bombarded them with music to disrupt sleep. However the Davidians went to the window and responded with their own songs. White cassette shell. |
DØDHEIMSGARD - 'Kronet Til Konge' CD (Metal Star) - £11
The legendary Norwegian Black Metal band Dødheimsgard's debut album. To fans of Black Metal, Dødheimsgard need no introduction, being as they are one of the great purveyors of the genre's creative evolution. The band was formed in 1994 by Aldrahn (Thorns, The Deathtrip) and Vicotnik (Ved Buens Ende). The early incarnation was that of a raw and at times melodic Black Metal band, with their debut album also featuring Darkthrone's Fenriz on bass. Over time Dødheimsgard became known as one of the premier avant-garde black metal acts after a stylistic shift away from their more old-school origins displayed here. Includes an 8-page booklet, which features unseen photographs and liner notes from all three performers, sharing their memories of the band's formation and early history. CIS edition. Comes with exclusive sticker. Ltd x 1000 hand-numbered copies. |
DR. TIMOTHY LEARY - 'How To Operate Your Brain / You Can Be Anyone This Time Around' Cassette (Kieh! Kieh!) - £12
Dr Timothy Leary was an advocate of the widespread use of LSD to change cultural consciousness and to open individuals to the vastness of the cosmos within and without. The A-side of this tape features audio from Timothy Leary's 1993 video "How To Operate Your Brain": "This is an experiment in mind formation, in-formation, forming, controlling, operating your mind and your brain, using digital techniques to overload, scramble, confuse, unfocus your mind... chaos is beautiful... The aim of human life is to know thyself. Think for yourself. Question authority. Think with your friends. Create, create new realities... Learning how to operate your brain, learning how to operate your mind, learning how to redesign chaos". The B-Side features the 1970 album "You Can Be Anyone This Time Around", one of the first cut'n'splice albums of the psych-rock era. The idea was to put all kinds of music, sounds and words into a blender powered by LSD to evoke an acid trip. Includes musical contributions from Jimi Hendrix, Stephen Stills, John Sebastian, and Buddy Miles recorded during an all-night jam session at the Record Plant. White cassette shell. |
JIM JONES / PEOPLE'S TEMPLE CHOIR - 'Jonestown Death Tape / He's Able' Cassette (Kieh! Kieh!) - £13
Side A contains an excerpt from one of Jim Jones 'White Night' rehearsal speeches, followed by the complete recording of his Jones final speech aka 'The Death Tape' (FBI tape no Q 042) recorded during the mass murder / suicide in Jonestown, Guyana on the night of 18th November 1978. Side B features People's Temple Choir "He's Able" - an album professionally recorded in 1973 at Producer's Workshop in Hollywood - which offered a sampler of the music that Temple members would listen to, both during church services themselves and on the record players in their homes. It's a 12-song collection of traditional and contemporary songs; a mix of old spirituals, gospel-inspired originals, original compositions, and a couple of late '60s Top 40 hits, all performed by a full choir (with Jim Jones himself) and an eight-piece blue-eyed soul outfit with a hot brass section. Red or purple cassette shell, with a pack of 6 postcards. |
MARSHALL McLUHAN - 'The Medium Is The Massage' Cassette (Kieh! Kieh!) - £12
When Marshall McLuhan proposed his idea to create an audio companion piece to his landmark 1967 book "The Medium Is The Massage", no one quite knew what to expect. The book itself captured McLuhan's theories on media and technology, arguing that the medium by which information is transferred to people was more important the the actual content being relayed. McLuhan hoped that an audio recording would help give greater depth to his theories, and in the late 60's, he and producer John Simon went to work on a record of the same name. They created a hypnotic musique concrete sound collage using audio clips of McLuhan speaking, often interrupted by discordant sounds and other voices interjecting. A thought-provoking, sometimes whimsical cut-up patchwork of sounds and ideas that illustrated the complex relationship between people, media and technology. Over 40 years since its release, "The Medium Is The Massage" continues to challenge listeners to think about media and communication in new ways. Red or blue cassette shell. |
MERZBOW - 'Aqua Necromancer' 2 x LP (Absurd Exposition) - £30
Masami Akita's (aka Merzbow) psych-noise mantra, originally released on CD in 1998 by Alien8 Recordings, features the King of Japanoise on tapes, electronics, Moog / EMS Synthesizers and other devices. Now pressed on vinyl for the first time, "Aqua Necromancer" comes as an expanded double LP. "Expect the unexpected... amidst the stalk and squeal noise, Masami has seen fit to add lots of trippy, sometimes jazzy, inherently odd, sampled beats from bands like Soft Machine and L'Orme... [they] seem to have given Masami direction and, more so, revealed a side to his noisetrations that can only be deemed psychedelic! Yes, for all the noisicians who feel they are tapping into 60's psychedelia while still pummeling us with the same monstrous (though fun) regurgitations, Aqua Necromancer is a mind-altering example of noise that can actually be called groovy" (J.C. Smith)". Remastered by M.A. in 2021 with additional material from the same sessions. Presented in a deluxe gatefold sleeve featuring photos taken by M.A. at the National Museum, Hyokei Kan and National Science Museum, Ueno. |
MOGAO - 'Finger Pointing To The Moon' CD (Satatuhatta) - £11.50
This is not your typical noise album. The harsher palette familiar from previous Mogao releases has been put momentarily aside. The approach now is more intimate with two lingering tracks (each close to 30 minutes), painting the picture of an abandoned landscape, where a flock of electronic birds swim amongst the analogue warmth of broken piano ambience, echoing the names of Brian Eno and David Tudor in mind... and this is a painting you can touch, feeling all the rough textures and cracks in the canvas to find out all the hidden details. A new age of Finnish electroacoustic noise. Comes in a silkscreen-printed cardboard cover with two inserts. |
MYSTICUM - 'Planet Satan' CD (Metal Star) - £11
Having achieved almost mythical status in Black Metal lore, "Planet Satan" was rumoured since the late 1990's, following the band's debut release, "In The Streams Of Inferno". Unifying the core trio of Herr General Cerastes, Svartravn & Dr Best, "Planet Satan" finally emerged in 2014. A work of intense and otherworldly black metal power injected with Mysticum's strong cosmic, satanic and psychedelic overtones, the album's full and unrelenting force retains the core elements which made the Norwegians pioneering legends of industrial black metal. Both infernal and nihilistic, as well as apocalyptic in its scope and execution, "Planet Satan" was a new milestone for the genre with its sublime, chaotic fury. An eerily hypnotic work of the darkest order featuring primitive minor-chords and tortured vocals. Emerging in the early 1990's, Mysticum brought to the world a completely unique brand of psychedelic discordant black metal with insane drum machine patterns and synths. They were originally (and briefly) signed to Euronymous' Deathlike Silence Productions label. CIS edition. Comes with 24-page booklet and exclusive sticker. Ltd x 1000 hand-numbered copies. |
SECRET APEX - 'Secret Apex' CD (Satatuhatta) - £11.50
Secret Apex is Jaakko Vanhala (Zoät-Aon). This is an intense, lysergic sounding mixture of electronic music and noise. Distorted objects, ecstatic drones, feedback and field recordings get mixed with traces of electroacoustic experimental and kosmische musik. Contains a wide array of sound sources from field recordings made in Malaysia, to a pipe organ recorded in a concert hall in Finland. Guitar sources from Jaakko Padatsu (Halo Manash, Lingua Fungi). Presented in a silver on black silkscreen-printed cardboard cover. |
TAAKE - 'Nattestid...' CD (Metal Star) - £11
In 1993, Taake mastermind Hoest formed the band under the name Thule, releasing two demos; "Der Vinterstormene Raste" in 1993 and 1994's "Omfavnet Av Svarte Vinger". Shortly afterwards, Thule became Taake (meaning 'Fog' in English), a name which better reflected the band's music and the area where Hoest was from; the mountains of Bergen, Norway. The first full-length album, "Nattestid...", was originally released in 1999. The album was written entirely by Hoest, who was joined by a session musician, Tundra, to perform bass and drums. It was recorded 1997/98 at the legendary Grieghallen Studios (Immortal, Mayhem, Gorgoroth) with Pytten. "Nattestid" was a stellar introduction to Taake's unusual brand of cold and yet surprisingly melodic, at times complex composition. The album featured both grim and clean vocals alongside icy riffs and atmospherics creating a truly dark experience. The lyrics were written and sung in old Norwegian and with an execution compared to the likes of earlier Darkthrone, Immortal or Satyricon, "Nattestid" was quickly acclaimed as a classic of Norwegian Black Metal. CIS edition. Comes with exclusive sticker. Ltd x 500 hand-numbered copies. |
THE NEW BOYFRIENDS - 'The New Boyfriends 3' CD (Satatuhatta) - £11.50
CD reissue of a 2021 tape by The New Boyfriends - a collaboration between Mogao and Aprapat. On their third release, they break out from a duo formation, introducing Masa on saxophone to become a brain-blistering harsh jazz trio. The album kicks off with two scorching harsh noise tracks where junk metal abuse, harsh pedal noise and fierce sax blowing collide intensively. The final 15+ minute track focuses more on atmosphere and textures while retaining the qualities of harsh noise. Mastered by Jaakko Vanhala. Digipak. |
THERGOTHON - 'Stream From The Heavens' CD (Metal Star) - £12
Finland's Thergothon was formed in late 1990 by Niko Skorpio Sirkiä (vocals, keyboard), Jori Sjöroos (drums) and Mikko Ruotsalainen (guitar). They started life as a death metal act, progressing to slow, heavy doom metal, later becoming classified as pure sadness and despair in musical form. In early 1991 they recruited Sami Kaveri as a second guitarist, recording their Lovecraft-inspired demo tape "Fhtagn-nagh Yog-Sothoth". In Autumn 1992 they began recording their debut album, "Stream from the Heavens". Two tracks from the "Fhtagn-nagh Yog-Sothoth" demo were reworked and recorded for this release. Non-metal influences including prog, goth, ambient and experimental music helped to shape the band's sound and atmosphere further. Thergothon disbanded in 1993, before the eventual 1994 release of "Stream From The Heavens". Over the years the band has earned a cult status in the underground through this single album. In the mid-late 90's the Funeral Doom genre emerged; Thergothon was deemed as one of the originators of the sound and style and an important cornerstone for the whole genre. CIS edition. Ltd x 1000 hand-numbered copies in a CD hardbook. |
THORNS - 'Thorns' Enhanced CD (Metal Star) - £11
Originally formed in 1989 by mastermind Snorre Ruch, Marius Vold, and Bård Faust (Emperor), Norwegian Black Metal band THORNS has inspired a great number of acts such as Satyricon, Mayhem, Dissection, and Emperor, mainly due to Snorre's highly influential style of playing on the early Thorns demo tapes. So impressed was Euronymous of Mayhem, that Snorre became second guitarist in the band for a time, featuring on classic Mayhem tracks. Originally released in 2001, "Thorns" was the band's debut (and only) full-length studio album and features Satyr (Satyricon) on vocals, Aldrahn (ex-Dødheimsgard) also on vocals, and Hellhammer (Mayhem) on drums. A cult slice of highly-individual Norwegian black metal, including experimental and sometimes industrial influences along with synth passages, to create a chilling yet clinical slice of extremity. A unique and original album which is now considered a cult classic. This CIS edition contains 2 bonus tracks from the band's 2000 demo; the album track 'Existence', and a previously unreleased song called 'TSoS'. It is completed by the inclusion of the rare video clip for the track 'Vortex', made by Halvor Bodin. Ltd x 1000 hand-numbered copies with exclusive full-colour sticker. |
UMPIO - 'Marisko' CD (Satatuhatta) - £11.50
"Marisko" is the 4-part (8 track) new studio album from Umpio- aka Finnish multi-instrumentalist Pentti Dassum hailing from Pori, Finland. Focusing on junk metal percussion, self-built nonstruments, junkstruments and harsh electronic noise, this album offers burning elektronics and scrap junk in a blender with some octopus ink. Put that in your breakfast and prepare mentally to drop down deep into the Mariana trench of DIY-noise. Ltd x 300 copies in a gatefold ecopak. |
WILLIAM S. BURROUGHS - 'Häxan: Witchcraft Through The Ages' Cassette (Kieh! Kieh!) - £12
Grave robbing, torture, possessed nuns, and a satanic Sabbath: Benjamin Christensen's legendary 1922 film uses a series of dramatic vignettes to explore the scientific hypothesis that the witches of the Middle Ages suffered the same hysteria as turn-of-the-century psychiatric patients. But the film itself is far from serious; instead it's a witches' brew of the scary, gross, and darkly humorous. In 1968, an abbreviated version of the film (77 minutes) was released. This version features an eclectic jazz score by Daniel Humair (played by a quintet including Jean-Luc Ponty on violin and Daniel Humair on percussion) and dramatic narration by William S. Burroughs. Blue cassette shell. |

"Deep Throat" trademarked new lingo in the '70s' American sexual revolution, fueling debates over obscenity laws battled all the way to the Supreme Court. Commended, praised and condemned by virtually every reporting media at the time, the U.S. government seized all film's reels and master tapes, therefore, all of its musicians and writers are unknown. "You have in your hands a unique aural experience". Early 70's prog-rock / low grade funk / dirty jazz / pop in the vein of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Procol Harum, Frank Zappa, Richard Harris. WE BE ECHO - 'Ceza Evi - Compleat Edition' 2 x CD (CSR311CD) - £12
OUT 12th JULY
 |
Occupying a halfway point between Throbbing Gristle and Cabaret Voltaire without ever quite sounding like either, WE BE ECHO is Kevin Thorne. His first foray into music came after a chance meeting with Throbbing Gristle on Tottenham Court Road in 1979. A few months later he met Raye Calouri at the legendary Throbbing Gristle / Cabaret Voltaire / Rema Rema gig at Central YMCA, London. Soon after, the duo formed the short-lived Third Door From The Left. After the demise of TDFTL, Thorne formed We Be Echo.
The debut album "Ceza Evi" - featuring GENESIS P-ORRIDGE and IHAM on Tibetan Thigh-bone Trumpet - was released in June 1983, followed by a special edition later the same year, originally available only to readers of Nanavesh. The music was recorded using the built-in microphone on a dual cassette recorder, then the next layer was recorded whilst playing the first tape back. Very lo-fi, no editing, no remixing, all spontaneous and raw. As with Third Door From The Left, who recorded in the same way, it all just seemed to fall into place.
Compleat Edition: Disc one contains the original tracks for the "Ceza Evi" special edition release. The remaining tracks on disc 2 are from the original cassette release of "Ceza Evi", plus bonus tracks recorded between 1981-1983. Briefly pushing We Be Echo back into the light, a handful of these tracks appeared on the 2009 compilation "Decades" (Vinyl On Demand). Now, bringing together all these tracks for the first time ever, this "Compleat Edition" cements "Ceza Evi" as one of the most important underground releases of the early 80's. To do it real justice, this release was mastered by Attrition's Martin Bowes.
Presented in a 2CD in a 6-panel digisleeve with artwork by Kevin Thorne. |

KOLLAPS - 'Until The Day I Die' CD / LP (CSR309CD/LP)
CD OUT NOW!
LP OUT 29th JULY

 |
"Until The Day I Die", the third album from Australian post-industrial outfit KOLLAPS, is a merciless and visceral assault on the senses and continues the trajectory of the band's idiosyncratic approach in their creation of sound. The album showcases an uncompromising force of harsh post-industrial music narrated by overarching themes of condemnation and redemption; of violence, romanticism, sexuality, and addiction. Much of the creation and lyrical conceptualisation of the record has been stylised and presented using William S. Burroughs' cut-up method.
A wide variety of metals and raw materials were used in the creation of the album including metal grates, a rusted hoist, cement cylinders, field recordings, hammering of various decrepit objects, broken amplifiers, an exposed reverb tank, various synthesizers, and the infamous metal coil; a crudely self-constructed artifice that has become iconic in its use across KOLLAPS' triptych of releases and lengthy touring history in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
Mastered by: James Plotkin.

GENESIS P-ORRIDGE & DAVE BALL 'Imagining October' (Dir. Derek Jarman) O.S.T. (CSR300LP) - £18
OUT 23rd SEPTEMBER
 |
The first ever release of the soundtrack to the rarely-seen DEREK JARMAN 1984 short film "Imagining October", with music recorded by Derek's friend and collaborator Genesis P-Orridge (PSYCHIC TV / THROBBING GRISTLE), and Dave Ball (SOFT CELL / THE GRID). Recorded at DJM recording studios in Theobalds Road, London.
Limited Edition 12" vinyl featuring a beautiful etched B-Side. Features liner notes by James Mackay (Jarman's producer, collaborator and archivist).
Derek Jarman put together a programme of films for the London Film Festival, reflecting the cutting edge of the London avant-garde of the time. Recorded at the same time as "The Angelic Conversation", "Imagining October" was filmed in the Eisenstein Museum in Moscow, Vladimir Mayakovsky's grave at Novodevichy Cemetery, the GUM department store facing red square, and the fire temples of Baku in Azerbaijan. The painting sequences with a group of soldiers (Angus Cook, Stephen Thrower (COIL), Peter Doig and Keir Wahid) was filmed in London. Jarman considered it one of the best, if not the best, of his shorter works. It was intended as an agit-prop work and the combination of music and imagery remains powerful to this day. |

MERZBOW - 'Animal Liberation - Until Every Cage Is Empty' CD CSR314CD) - £11
OUT NOW!
 |
We proudly present the new studio album from MERZBOW. As a life-long campaigner of animal rights, Masami Akita has delivered a brutal assault on those that cage and murder animals. 'ANIMAL LIBERATION - UNTIL EVERY CAGE IS EMPTY' is 5 tracks (49 mins) of total noise assault that only the King of Japanese Noise can provide.
"There is a theory that Covid-19 broke out from the poor conditioned wet markets where live animals are sold. If there were no poultry farms, there would be no mass destruction of chickens due to the spread of bird flu. Human beings' cruelty to animals, animal abuse and species discrimination are all adding up to a disaster for mankind and the whole planet. The pandemic is an opportunity to reflect on the relationship between animals and humans. Veganism is the future for humanity" (Masami Akita, 2021).
The artwork is a reflection of the animal rights and anarcho-punk movements of the 80's. Proceeds from this release will benefit animal rights charities.
Presented in a matt-laminate digipak.

TENHORNEDBEAST - 'The Lamp Of No Light' CD (CSR312CD) - £11
OUT NOW!

 |
For his first release since 2017's "Death Has No Companion", Christopher Walton (ex-Endvra), a thirty-year veteran of Industrial music, has dragged TenHornedBeast back to its pounding Doom-Ambient roots and recorded his darkest album yet, as a sonic veneration of a medieval sculpture depicting the torment of the damned in Hell.
In the crypt of York Minster, built directly on the site of the Roman citadel, is the Doom Stone. A relic from the 12th century the stone, carved in deep relief, illustrated for a medieval audience the horrors that awaited sinners in Hell. Figures depicting Luxury and Avarice are licked by flames, leering demons hold a tortured soul in a furnace and the Mouths of Hell gape, their nostrils licked by toads. Here beneath one of the jewels of Western Christendom is a talisman so shocking, so contrary to the modern mind that the very faith that created it has abandoned it.
The five suitably monolithic pieces on 'The Lamp Of No Light (Hymns For The Yorkshire Doom Stone)' form a journey, starting with the first mortal death and ending with the second eternal death of the soul. Walton has used the darkest textures and heaviest drones as way-markers on this journey, as hymns to exalt the scenes shown on the stone.
"TenHornedBeast is a vehicle for the sinister current that is woven through life. If Christ is the Light of the World and hymns are sung to him in the Minster then my hymns should be heard in the crypt, where the Doom Stone radiates its No-Light. Without darkness, the light is meaningless".

It completes the dilation process of his sound, which began with the albums "Silencers" and "Ancient Death Cults And Beliefs", forming an ideal trilogy inspired by what is beyond the boundaries of science.
"Interdimensional" is inspired by the scientist Michio Kaku who theorized what could be the remote future of the human species, beyond matter, the stars, and known dimensions. A future that could lead us to the victory over the end of everything, beyond the foreseen and inevitable death of the universe known to us.
Also a cosmic record in terms of sound, "Interdimensional" is pervaded by a sense of stasis reminiscent of Thomas Köner's isolationist electronics, but still characterised by the use of electrified instruments, analogue synthesizers and recordings of resonant metal objects. Unlike the previous records, however, the typical dark experimental / post industrial sound of Sonologyst is filtered through hazy warping reverberations, and infinite delays, which musically depict the intergalactic journey of a civilization in search of a possible future beyond death.
Music ad astra.

BURIAL HEX 'Gauze' CD (CSR301CD) - £11
OUT NOW!

 |
Horror Electronics and Phantasmagoric Post-Industrial usher in the brand new ritual offering from Burial Hex.
The impulse for Gauze is to be a prophylactic talisman and ward for the families directly involved with the Burial Hex project, though it can be effective for anyone who needs an extra layer of defense. The art, lyrics and sound were all layered together with supersensible content generated specifically for this purpose. Beyond just protection and defense, Gauze is an invitation to transcend sclerotic ways of experiencing incarnation, by freely juxtaposing increasingly divergent forms, and reconciling all with warmth and passion. Such has been the work of the Burial Hex project since its inception, striving towards a gestalt of timeless and enduring realms via a benign spiritual interaction with conflicting beings.
With Gauze we hear the mouths of Burial Hex spit in the face of those who would reduce psychic experience and spiritual feeling to material processes, penetrating the density of human denial and cracking the electronic shell which crushes much of our humanity.

"Du Y Moroedd" (Welsh - the black of the sea) is an album of abyssal dark ambient - environmental soundscapes and atmospheres from above, below and beside the ocean; field recordings made onboard vessels at sea; sounds from submerged recording devices deep underwater; recordings from the coasts of North Wales to Greenland and the Arctic Ocean.
The album features recordings from the hull of RRS James Clark Ross whilst ploughing through ice fields off Greenland, from a "sound trap" attached to an anchor as it descended through 80m of water to the seabed, and sounds from onboard the RV Prince Madog with its pitched engine drone.

LULL 'Moments' 2 x LP (CSR295LP)
OUT NOW!
 |
Isolationist, minimal, alienating Drone / Dark Ambient from Mick Harris (SCORN, FRET, ex-NAPALM DEATH). Staggeringly beautiful, glacial sub-bass sounds, deep ambient and thunderous tones, with subtle shifts. Originally released as a 99-track continuous CD in 1998 (Relapse), now presented on vinyl for the first time, "Moments" is expanded to 100 cuts, with bonus material from the original recording sessions.
"Tectonic rumblings and icy sound slivers move and swirl around each other, slipping into spaces between the molecules which make up your physical body and then break it apart in preparation for rearrangement. Moments of expansive emptiness and claustrophobic terror overlap one another and then overcome your mind as you journey through this bleak void of sound. At one moment warm and organic, the next, slowly slipping into a machine-like coldness to freeze and paralyze... Sound as a vehicle to bring you through that doorway towards dimensions previously unknown. Hypnotic and soothing with a lingering sense of dread throughout" (Carrion Kind).
File next to Lustmord, Sleep Research Facility, Thomas Köner.

GEORGE FENTON 'The Company Of Wolves' (Dir. Neil Jordan) O.S.T. LP (CSR299LP) - £22
OUT NOW!
 |
Out of print for over 35 years, the official soundtrack to the cult 1984 film by Neil Jordan is finally available once again on vinyl format. The surreal and effective film - a true gem of British Gothic fantasy horror - has an equally atmospheric, breathtakingly beautiful, surreal and unsettling soundtrack, scored by George Fenton.
The film itself, directed by Neil Jordan (The Crying Game, Breakfast On Pluto), and based on the screenplay by Angela Carter and Neil Jordan, is a modern allegorical adaptation of the classic Grimm fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood, symbolising sexual awakening, duality and liberation. The stellar cast features Sarah Patterson, Angela Lansbury, Stephen Rea, David Warner, and Danielle Dax.
"There is a sense of awe and enchanted wonder encaptured in its fairy tale sound, swooping with cascading violins and dark mysterious undercurrents that bubble below the surface... The score flows effortlessly between its light and dark moments. Most importantly, moments of beauty are not lost to the sense of suspense and drama. Indeed, light always needs its companion of shadow, as the film suggests in the sexual awakening of the pure untainted innocence that is Rosaleen. This score perfectly demonstrates the beauty of the juxtaposition between the sounds of youth and the temptation of desire" (L. Hammond).

TREPANERINGSRITUALEN
'Veil The World' LP/CD (CSR205LP/CD)
OUT NOW!
 |
Vinyl edition of T x R x P's Swedish Ritual Industrial masterpiece, originally released 2011. Out of print since the 2015 CD edition, we're very proud to announce 'Veil The World' on vinyl for the first time, with new artwork by Thomas Ekelund (ᚦᛟᚦ ᚷᛁᚷ | Nullvoid). Ltd x 500 copies on bone white, 180g vinyl. Due to demand, we are also reissuing the CD edition in a digipak with the new 2021 artwork.
»All seals have been broken« proclaims a demonic voice on the titular track of Veil The World, and that is something terrifyingly evident in the music contained therein. On Veil The World, Trepaneringsritualen veers from crepuscular ritual moods to rabid death chants reveling, even celebrating the imminent end of flesh. Veil the World - originally released in a very limited and ultra-lavish box by Kosci Tapes in 2011 - marks the half-way point between the earlier, more atmospheric works of T x R x P, and the more visceral aggression of the later material.
Trepaneringsritualen explores themes of religion, magick and the hidden realms of consciousness, taking its musical cues from the old school of ritual ambient & death industrial. Rhythmic and seething at times, and oozing forward with a creeping sense of desolation at others, Trepaneringsritualen conjures forth bleak but mesmerizing visions of the end-times. |

SHE SPREAD SORROW
'Huntress' CD/LP (CSR282LP/CD)
OUT NOW!
 |
The new album by She Spread Sorrow (Alice Kundalini) is the story of a huntress and her morbid and psychotic relationship with her prey. The protagonist is Blue, a girl whose existence is marked by obsession with another woman of the same age and by nightmares that leave her without peace. Between love and psychosis, a tragic story is consumed, which vibrates in the stomach, like the music that accompanies it - dark and hypnotic death industrial, with moments of dark ambient, power electronics and noise.
Inspired by Kundalini's nightmares and her fervent world of dreams, "Huntress" was born after 3 years of intense recordings. It pursues the need to whisper secret, forbidden tales and to stimulate the deepest shadows of the human being, exploring the boundaries between the delicate and the violent; between love and obsession; between fantasy and madness.
"Huntress" is the soundtrack of a tragic game between opposites in a reality of total solitude.
LP on 180g vinyl in 350gsm sleeve. Ltd x 500 copies.
