Active since 2005, Thisquietarmy constantly furthers the boundaries of sonic guitar experimentation to create an impressively wide range of dynamic soundscapes by combining textural and structural elements of ambient, drone, shoegaze, industrial, black / doom metal.

"Phantom Limbs" was recorded in 2009, but the material wasn't released until 2012, when Land of Decay (the now defunct label founded by members of Locrian) released it on cassette. In addition to "Phantom Limbs", the tracks from the "Luftpost" EP (recorded during the same period) are included on this release as bonus tracks. "Luftpost" was released as a limited 3" CDR on Thisquietarmy Records in 2009 for his first European tour with Nadja.
