The complete collection of surviving tapes from Henrik Nordvargr Björkk's earliest years, spanning 1987-1994. Crematorius is a project which even predates the formation of the iconic black industrial group MZ.412.
For the first time, this body of work is assembled in one definitive edition, carefully restored from aging cassettes and master reels, many of which have remained unheard for more than three decades. Across five discs the material traces a continuous evolution of sound: early analogue manipulation of tapes and primitive instrumentation, looping structures and mouldy atmospheres shaped by limitation and experimentation.
As a comprehensive archival release, the boxset transforms what began as isolated experiments into a cohesive whole and the most complete insight yet into the roots of Nordvargr's musical career. A monument and an opened grave, tracing the origins of death industrial and preserving the industrial cultural heritage. Features a guest appearance from Megaptera.
Deluxe matt-laminate boxset containing 5 x CDs in individually-printed card sleeves with booklet.
