Son of the war god Ares, Phobos was to the ancient Greeks the substantiation of fear - P.H.O.B.O.S. attempts to translate this term into music. "Anoedipal" is more a brooding mass than a landscape of subtle ambience. A mechanised leviathan of synthesized percussion hammering away within an ocean of static dissonance. The drum machine is punishing, the mesmerising vocal assault compliments the slow and droning noisy guitar and the sub harmonic bass lines.
