A new 12" by French electronic pioneer, Philippe Laurent, following the infectious synthetic classic 12", "Mithra". "Phoenix" is a three track vinyl (25 mins) featuring two brand new tracks on the A-Side: 'Phoenix', and, 'Agapao'. Meanwhile over on the B-Side, we have the 13-minute electronic opus and highly representative of his early work, 'Exposition 4' - a never before released track from Philippe's extensive archive, recorded in 1982.

The work Is representative of Philippe's latest forays into contemporary synth music, but still with a retro futurist edge and influenced partly by German pioneers Kraftwerk / late 70's Kosmische and au courant electro / synthwave acts, fitting into the current enthusiasm for early 80's synth pop and minimal wave.
