Minimal synth / New Wave act Nine Circles were founded in 1980 in Amsterdam by Lidia Fiala and Peter van Garderen. After a few different line-ups, the band finally settled into their current formation in 2012, this time with Lidia and Per-Anders Kurenbach (Psyche, Shock Therapy, The Eternal Afflict). On the A side is the brooding coldwave semantics of "Falling" with its slow motion arpeggios and chilling vintage drums capturing the mood convincingly from their old days. On the flip is something more uptempo and upbeat on the euphoric "Preconception". Ltd x 250 copies.
