Formed in Perugia, Italy in 1982, Aidons La Norvege showcased a Darkwave / Italian New Wave style. Best known for their unforgettable 12" entitled "La Sfida" (SPITTLE Records, 1986), the band had significant live experiences in Italy and abroad (notably singing in their mother tongue), recorded several demo tapes and participated on various compilations, before disbanding in 1988. The band reformed in 2007, and are playing live once more.

"Ostaggi" includes the four tracks that appeared on "La Sfida", along with a selection of recordings from those years that were only included on some promotional demo tapes - and therefore substantially unreleased.
