"Soundless Sphere" is the new album by Düsseldorf avant-garde veterans Strafe F.R. Eight pieces combining treated vocals, multidimensional rhythmic structures and heavy electronics forming a bright and lively sonic landscape. The album also emanates a sense of urgency fitting for our times.
Strafe F.R. (Strafe Für Rebellion) was founded in 1979 by Siegfried Michael Syniuga and Bernd Kastner. The duo see themselves as researchers on different visual and acoustic levels, emphasising that they not only explore the world of music, but also incorporate elements of knowledge, and thus all usable influences, into their experiments. Their texts reflect their interest in science, history, philosophy, as well as everyday phenomena, mass media, and popular culture. They are absolutely avant-garde, working at the forefront of research - performatively, acoustically, visually, and in a variety of media. Their motto always remains aesthetically uncompromising with serious pleasure.
