A unique Avant-Rock / 'surrealist attack' performance group from Rennes, La STPO (La Société des Timides à la Parade des Oiseaux / The Shy Society At The Bird Parade), was founded in 1984. Of the five current members, three have been within the band since its beginning: Pascal Godjikian (vocals), JimB (guitar), Patrice Babin (drums, percussion). Christophe Gautheur (keyboards, sax, clarinet) joined five years later. Sébastien Desloges (bass, violin) has been in the group since 2011.

"Romanciel", the tenth album of the band, contains 4 tracks (52 minutes). It is a collage of different "moments" of a book, as if you were flipping through it and opening it at random; each chapter has its own atmosphere. Even the cover page and the table of contents are evoked and translated sonically.
