Tone Generator (here with Scott Barnes) is Dominic Guerin - a somewhat infamous key contributor to the early classic industrial / noise era of SPK (late 1970's /early 1980's), and founding of industrial group Last Dominion Lost (with the late John Murphy). The artistic approach continues from where SPK left off, addressing the 'body without organs' concept of Gilles Deleuze. Their latest album deals with the Posthuman Future:

"...accelerating towards developing technologies geared towards replacing flesh with biomechanical material, or downloading the digitised contents of human consciousness to a computerised neural network. What constitutes human life and consciousness is reduced to patterns of information that, with the aid of ever more sophisticated technology, can be manipulated into virtually limitless configurations. The human brain has effectively been reserve engineered , scanned and transferred into machine analogues and biohybrid robots...

In the race to transcend our depraved all-to-human existence, into a glorious post-humanity that exceeds all limits, we repeat and perpetuate the age old dualism that rejects and denigrates the materiality of existence in favour of an incorporeal life as information. If there is more to humanity than immaterial, disembodied mind, then our dreams of transcendence may well come crashing back down to Earth. An Earth even more polluted and degraded by the excesses of the advanced technological civilisations desperate to escape it".
