New studio album by German sound veteran Asmus Tietchens and a return to his more industrial music roots, typified by the title of the album's opening track 'German Angst'.

12 new eerie tracks of his "absolute music" recorded 2025, with a truly fitting EM Cioran quote: "Everything is heading towards ugliness and gangrene: This globe - it festers, and the living display their wounds, upon which the rays of the luminous ulcer fall".

'German Angst' opens the album with restless, slightly hectic sounds, which certainly possess a sense of menace (especially as the piece progresses). The internally rhymed track 'Die Schwere der Leere' (The Weight of Emptiness) begins more calmly but then generates a similar unease. At first, one might think that on 'Lammkopf im Ofen' (Lamb's Head in the Oven), metal sheets are being dragged across the floor; then, at times, it sounds as if an electric guitar is being briefly simulated.

In contrast, 'Imperial Logistics' sounds more stripped-down, with its occasional stomping passages. 'Organischer Restbestand' is more melodic, with hints of strings towards the end. The opening minutes of the minimalist, noisy 'Kotbeutel über Korea - hurra!' almost evoke ambient music before a loop kicks in, reminiscent of circus music performed by demented individuals. The title track gives the impression of having been recorded in a snowstorm.
