ATTRITION - 'This Death House' LP BLACK (Other Voices Records) - £20

Old-school industrial live improvisation with overdubs on 4 track portastudio. Influenced by classic zombie films, "Death House" lends truth to that rumour by delivering forty-six minutes of blackened paranoia-inducing ambience. Split into two sprawling pieces, "Death House" conjures the grim, unsettling atmospheres of such films as "The Last Man On Earth" and the original "Night Of The Living Dead" and portrays them in musical form. Step inside this nightmare. These soundtrack recordings were originally issued on cassette on Adventures in Reality, September 1982. This is the first vinyl edition since 1987, with CD and cassette releases over the years on labels such as Projekt, Cause And Effect, and Musica Maxima Magnetica. Newly remastered for vinyl. AUTOPSIA - 'Weltuntergang' LP BLACK (Other Voices Records) - £20

Autopsia is a cult art project dealing with music and visual production. The music oscillates from romanticism to avantgarde, from industrial rhythms and dark ambient drones to relentless choral swells and academic minimalism. Its art practice began in London in the late 1970's and continued during the 1980's in the art centers of the former Yugoslavia. Since 1990, Autopsia has acted from Prague, Czech Republic. Above all, Autopsia is not concerned with music. What is Autopsia? Art? Theory? Framing? Projection? Gaze? Autopsia is language is image is sound. Autopsia is a tombstone on the grave of time. Autopsia is archaeology. The discourse of the beginning and about the beginning. At the beginning is Death and the pity of Death. The music is in the pity. Autopsia Archive 1982-1995. BLOOD RED FOG - 'Vampir' CD (Zazen Sounds) - £12

Uncovered from the mists of oblivion, a recording from 2006 is finally sent out to the world. Recorded soon after the eponymous debut album, these two monolithic tracks (over 20 mins each!) take the eponymous debut album's brooding Black Metal style to its extremes, and is as ugly in sound as in content. Expect nothing but pure suffocating, alienated darkness, hate and depression. Originally these were meant on a split album that never happened. Recorded and mixed on an analogue 8-tracker, professionally mastered in 2021 at Trollhouse Audio. Digipak. Already sold out from the label!

COIL - 'Love's Secret Domain (30th Anniversary Edition)' 2 x CD (Infinite Fog Productions) - £22

In 1991 Coil released the third of their early classic full-length albums, "Love's Secret Domain", seemingly casting aside the gloom and funereal beauty of its predecessors in favour of a painstakingly multi-layered hallucinogenic electronic beast. Unlike some of their fellow ex-industrial contemporaries' releases of the time, this wasn't an attempt at easy accessibility or (the-gods-forbid) danceability, but a vibrating psychedelic masterpiece unrivalled in their discography and still a landmark album today. To mark its 30 year anniversary Infinite Fog present an expanded, fully remastered official re-release of this fan favourite, with 10 rare and mostly unreleased tracks and alternative versions from the period added as a bonus to the luxurious 2CD set. "Love's Secret Domain" contains among its many highlights the Lynchian William Blake tribute of its title track and the intoxicating single 'Windowpane', original versions of the later Coil live staple 'Teenage Lightning' and the majestically warped classicisms of 'Chaostrophy'. Marc Almond guests on the typhonian 'Titan Arch' and This Heat's Charles Hayward provides some amazing drum stylings. This album produced by Coil & Danny Hyde pushed their sound ideas and probably their sanity to their very limits. Beyond the iconic Steven Stapleton (Nurse With Wound) cover art here reproduced in unseen definition the doors of perception still open wide for both long-term Coil aficionados and new-comers to this supremely innovative release to explore unknown depths. The long-overdue re-release illustrates how far ahead of the curve Coil were with the sounds on this album, which still sounds as fresh and mind-blowing as it did back in the early 90's. CD reissue of last year's Grim's sold out vinyl album. Grim is the power electronics / Japanese noise project of Jun Konagaya, which began in the early 80's. Jun also formed White Hospital together with Tomasada Kuwahara. They released one album before disbanding. Kuwuhara moved on to Vasilisk, while Jun continued as Grim. "Hermit Amen" is based on unreleased melodies made by Grim with the Tascam Porta One Ministudio between the 1980's and 2010's. For all fans of early Grim and Jun Konagaya (White Hospital) material! JAHRTAL - 'Lichtbuch 2' CD (Self-Released) - £12

Beautiful Folk Ambient / Psych Folk from Austria. A year in the making, "Lichtbuch 2" is a bouquet of pieces of music and songs, picked and bound with devotion. Some instrumental pieces, two folk songs from the Alps, a Tibetan tune in different interpretations, the instrumental version of a hymn by Franz Schubert and - as in "Lichtbuch" from 2007 - a ballad by Joseph von Eichendorff set to music. The selection of the pieces is personal; a kind of retrospective and reference to important influences. If "Lichtbuch 2" sometimes sounds like it was from another time, then that is quite intentional. Traditional themes and folk songs, as used in the 60's and 70's by bands such as the Incredible String Band, Fairport Convention, Pentangle, Dr. Strangely Strange, etc., made a lasting impression. L'ÉGAREMENT D'ESPRIT - 'Written In Stone' CD (Steinklang) - £11

L'Égarement d'Esprit is devoted to the dark and sensual side of late 19th, early 20th century Europe. Open the absinthe intoxicated mind, search for another state of consciousness, find enlightenment. "Written In Stone" is a compilation of two digital demos, online compilation tracks and previously unreleased material. Part of this album is a collection of oneiric impressions of a warm Summer evening, when an unknown young man is looking for comfort in lousy cafés, obscure brothels, opium dens on the eve of his enlistment. The other part is a silent scream of the same young man terrified, hungry, covered in trench mud, longing for home and warmth of woman's body. LIHOLESIE - 'Shamanic Twilight' CD (Infinite Fog Productions) - £13

Russian act Liholesie have graduated from their early epic folk ambience to a more ritual atmosphere. "Shamanic Twilight" is the music of dark woods, untouched nature, forgotten tribal rituals, and spiritual quests, somewhere in between Nordic folk, darkwave, and ritual ambient. Folk instruments and ethnic percussion will bring you back for thousands of years and plunge you into the atmosphere of shamanic rituals and visions. "An endless world stretches along the path of a wanderer. Thousands of trails run not only on solid ground underfoot but also through main streams and rapids of the wayward rivers, striving to carry a daredevil into their depths. Sometimes they take the wanderer down to the underworld or take his soul to the skies with the smoke of a ritual fire. The border between the worlds is thinning in the fog and the twilight. A shaman is the only one who is able to travel along a thousand paths and return back on a narrow path known only to him alone. But the time will come, and his soul will stop wandering between the worlds. Spreading its gray wings, his soul will be carried away along the path known only to him alone... LUGOLA - 'You Are Not Special' CD (Steinklang) - £11

Lugola is a noise project from Poland that began in 2012. Since the very beginning the solo work of Michal 'Neithan' Kielbasa has been a combination of noise, power electronics, drone and dark ambient. Lugola live performances are partially improvised free-form sonic assaults, physically and emotionally intense. Visuals are often used. There are no limits. There is no future. YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL. This album is a return to the project's roots: an assault on your senses, an almost physical show of nihilism and hate, a channel for all negative thoughts and emotions. Taking its musical cues from classic harsh noise, power electronics and death industrial breaks - all kinds of limitations without any interest in listener's comfort. MICHAEL STEARNS - 'Ancient Leaves' LP (Infinite Fog Productions) - £22

Reissue of a pure gem of early ambient music. Michael Stearns is a multi-genre composer and soundtrack designer / producer. His credits include music for Ron Fricke's non-verbal 70MM films "Chronos", "Baraka" and "Samsara", music for NASA, Laserium, Disney films, HBO, ABC, PBS, BBC, Discovery Channel, and James Cameron's "The Abyss", "Titanic" and "Avatar". In 1975, Michael moved from Tucson to Los Angeles to study with Emilie Conrad at the Continuum Studio. Emilie had 'live' music for her 'movement meditation' classes, and Michael began performing with Fred Stofflet, Gary David, and Don Preston. "Ancient Leaves" was Michael's first album, recorded in 1976/77 with a Mini Moog synthesizer and a Finish lap harp (Kantele) onto 4 track tape. To the other instruments, Michael added Emilie chanting, an ascending choir with Susan Harper and Linda Olsen vocalists, Gregorian Chants and a night ambience recorded in the desert outside of Tucson, Arizona. It was initially released on LP and cassette. The 'B' side was performed with an Arp String Ensemble played through an MXR digital delay, one of the first then slowed to half speed. To this, he added Moog and EML synthesizers, The Beam and his voice. Digipak with artwork based on paintings by Leilani Bost.

MSBR - '2005' LP + CD (Steinklang) - £25

M.S.B.R. (Molten Salt Breeder Reactor) aka Koji Tano (1961-2005) was one of the most respected noise artists to emerge from Japan's vibrant noise / experimental music scene of the 90's. Much of his material was self-released on his own labels, one of which was dedicated to the production of limited edition cassette releases. MSBR's crushing wall of noise, like Merzbow's, managed to tap into a post-human territory of pure absolute volume that seems to have more in common with the unstoppable forces of nature than any form of music. This release captures two of the last live performances of MSBR, recorded in Munich and Maastricht, early 2005. The MSBR live images used for layout are from Steinklang's private archive. NEUTRAL - 'The World Of Disbelief' LP (Infinite Fog Productions) - £22

The new album from Russian Dark Folk act Neutral, who continue to create simple, but fragile and beautiful pieces of music; Extremely emotional music, yet quiet encompassing a soft style of song-writing, with touching lyrics and melodies. It is appropriate to say that the best songs should be given the simplest arrangements in which this can shine. It's a brave move that allows the exquisite quality of songwriting to be appreciated fully unobscured by layers of instrumentation. Active since 1994, Neutral are probably best known for their 2008 album "Serpents In The Dawn", which has become a true classic of Dark Folk and Neofolk music. "The World of Disbelief" is a pure gem for those who love song-based art, such as Rome, Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio, Lux Interna, Kiss The Anus Of A Black Cat. Neutral has overgrown and surpassed Dark Folk and Neofolk, showing that they create unique music which belongs to the realm of feelings and beauty. Ltd x 250 copies with booklet.

ORGANISATION TOTH - 'The Occult Bloodline' CD (Steinklang) - £11

Organisation Toth is back with a new Soundtrack in the Occult Tradition of the first recordings. The first part of the album begins with a more modern and industrial electronic sound like the tracks 'Holy Land' or 'Fallen Angel'. However the second part of the album explores a more spiritual and dark ambient musical vision with songs such as 'Aurora' or 'Unholy Alliance', dedicated to the Light of the Morning Star. PETER DAVISON - 'Glide' CD (Fact Of Being) - £13

The long-awaited 40th anniversary reissue of the highly acclaimed and innovative second album "Glide" from Peter Davison. This highly-desirable and rare album is finally pressed on CD for the first time, being unavailable since 1982. A fascinating ambient album, less new-age more minimal ambient, with synths, harp, guitar, violin, flute and female vocals. An absolute classic in the spirit of Iasos, Brian Eno, Jon Hassell, Michael Stearns. With over 25 albums, Davison has composed music scores for Indie Features, the History Channel, A+E, Biography, PBS, Warner Bros., Disney, Universal, Discovery, Gaiam and others. He has won several awards for Best Song Of The Year (Hollywood Music in Media Awards), and "Best Score Of The Year, TV Show" but may be best known for his music for GAIAM's DVDs (yoga / meditation). RAISON D'ÊTRE - 'Après Nous Le Déluge (Trinity Edition)' 2 x CD (Infinite Fog Productions) - £18

The dark, atmospheric and energetic mix of choirs, strings, various FX-sounds, heavy drums, and tribal sections is the trademark Raison D'être sound that began with the album 'Prospectus I' in 1993. Released in 1992, 'Après Nous Le Déluge' was the first official output from Raison D'être when it released on the Cold Meat Industry sublabel Sound Source, and has a more industrial / EBM edge. There are have been three versions of 'Après Nous Le Déluge' over the years, and now they have finally all been joined into one complete album release: the Trinity Edition. The original version was released on cassette in 1992, first as a private demo tape and soon after the slightly slimmed version was released on Sound Source. It had many flaws in the recording quality due to bad equipment and poor skills. The remixed version from 1995 was an attempt to make things better, attempting to recreate the whole album, but the mission failed. Only about half of the tracks were possible to recreate and the second half was just the original version treated with equalization and reverb. Also, many sounds on the remixed tracks were missing thus replaced with new sounds. In 2012 there was a new more serious attempt to recreate the whole album. The intention with the reduxed version was to recreate the energy and feeling of the original version but still making it well balanced and clear in the mix. Also features a closely related bonus track, recorded 1992. 6-panel digipak.

REGARD EXTRÊME - 'Ars Veterum' CD (Steinklang) - £12.50

A Dark Medieval work that takes us across Europe of Middle age. Mutation of a civilization that is at the same time dark, romantic and cruel, paving the way towards a century of rebirth and light. Regard Extrême is a French musical project founded by Fabien Nicault in 1990. Influenced both by the dark underground scene of the 80's and ancient or classical music, Regard Extrême presents a dark orchestral sound with a brooding martial quality. RHAD - 'METAMUSIC' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £11.50

RHaD (Research for Historical Audio Documents) is a new project of Raffaele Pezzella (Sonologyst). "Metamusic is a 40 minute sound collage of mysterious radio transmissions, found vocals, spoken words, vintage electronic sounds and a number of guest stars on classical music instruments like organ, guitar, bass or piano - respectively Michael Bonaventure, Stefan Schmidt, Daniel Barbiero, Francesco Arrighi and Mara Lepore. Adroitly avoiding any ca 2021 digital artifact along the way, Metamusic's sound design brings the listener back to the glorious 1960s and '70s, yet the music sounds rather timeless to these ears. Metamusic recreates the sound of early European avantgarde with plenty of tape manipulations, sound collages, buzzing sounds, French spoken word and contemporary classical music instruments. The sound crafting is superb, the collage technique creating an ever-changing musical soundscape full of weird sounds, grotesque sound manipulations and Surrealist juxtapositions" (Laurent Fairon). SASCHA - 'Seeds On Talk' CD (Fact Of Being) - £15

The first full-length album of this ambient / drone project after two warmly received EPs. Enticing guitar overflows, drowsy melodies, an abundance of field recordings, analogue drone, and sound experiments, walking the waves of memory and the corridors of dreams. Guest on flute - Valera Hip. "Sometimes it happens that you walk across the field and sit yourself down to put an ear to the ground and listen... so just imagine, under the ground, but not too beep, some seeds sitting together on a round table and discussing, telling who will grow into what, who will open up with flowers, who will give berries, and who will spread out with a lush bush... Seeds On Talk is the collection of such conversations that I found during the last 7 years walking and travelling, experiences that were transformed in sounds... a child's hand touches the snow on a branch for the first time, pulls the branch and the snow showered with silver streams... monks in a cave monastery singing at Easter, the creak of the mill's wheel and the wind fluttering the wildflowers in the Siberian fields... two years living by the black sea and wandering along". Strictly limited to 100 copies, presented in an A5-sized digipak. The accompanying 20-page booklet is an excellent visual component, beautifully illustrating the audio journey.

SHIBALBA - 'Nekrologie Sinistrae (Orchestra Noise Opus I)' CD (Agonia) - £12

Shibalba is a project whose main focus is set on expressing shamanic, trance-like music, by the use of ethnic instruments and musical techniques peculiar to religious rituals. The new album "Nekrologie Sinistrae (Orchestral Noise Opus I)" for the first time introduces industrial elements to the band's sound. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by George Emmanuel (Lucifer's Child/ex-Rotting Christ) at Pentagram Studio in Greece. Alongside traditional instruments (such as Tibetan horns and singing bowls, bone and horn trumpets, darbukas, ceremonial bells and gongs or percussion instruments made of bones and skulls), the band incorporates contemporary synthesizers and guitar drones. The music is richly detailed and multidimensional, while its outcome is deep, unsettling and subconscious, offering an otherworldly voyage. SHRINE - 'Distorted Legends, Pt.3' 7" (Corvus Records) - £8

Shrine is the experimental music project of Hristo Gospodinov acting in the fields of ambient, dark ambient and post industrial music since year 2003. This is the third installment in the "Distorted Legends" 7" vinyl series that started back in 2006 (the previous release was on Drone Records). Predominantly industrial, and very dynamic, the third part continues to explore the themes of civilization's decline, pollution, and genetic deterioration. The beautiful sound of destruction. UNDIRHEIMAR - 'Angrboda' CD (Zazen Sounds) - £12

Ritual Shamanic Dark Ambient. "Angrboda" is a devotional, chanted sonic-talisman in honour of the trice burnt and trice risen. Consort of Loki and dark mother of the Thursian death trinity. She whose terrible shadow walks behind the trees in the billowing myst of Jarnvidr. Most ancient and powerful crone whose magic and wisdom was envied by the gods. The oldest manifestation of the dark feminine principle. The purpose of this meditative chanting ritual is to create and ritually charge, through thursathula, a sonic talisman as a sacred offering to the Old Crone. Using primitive shamanic vocalisations amalgamated with low tone and guttural throat singing, this taufr takes form within the Fjölkunnigr as a seed awaiting germination, nourishing itself on the focussed intent and devotion of he who plants it, growing and expending so that upon its release, the now empowered talisman can willfully be sent towards its destination. BILL LASWELL Feat COIL - 'City Of Light' LP (Infinite Fog Productions) - £22

Music legend Bill Laswell ("the man with the golden ears") has been involved in hundreds of recordings with many collaborators from all over the world. Bassist, composer and music producer for such legendary albums like Motorhead "Orgasmatron", Iggy Pop "Instinct", Public Image Ltd "Album" or Swans "The Burning World" to name just a few. In 1997, Bill Laswell released his sixth solo album "City of Light" recorded in Banaras, India, and mixed in Greenpoint, NY. For this album, he invited John Balance and Peter Christopherson from Coil, who composed the epic 13-minute 'Kála'; and Japanese ambient genius Tetsu Inoue, who decorated the album with its characteristic sound. Together they created an amazing conceptual album full of deep drones, tabla-rhythms, and ambient collages. "City of Light" is about Banaras, a city older than history, tradition, and legends. It is Shiva's land, founded at the dawn of creation. It is India's oldest and most fabled city. The Hindus call it Kashi, the luminous... The City Of Light. The original 1997 edition (Sub Rosa) has long sold out, and it is now reissued in a full colour sleeve.

The long-awaited complete version of "Sara Dale's Sensual Massage" OST with 8 exclusive and unheard tracks. "Sara Dale's Sensual Massage" was a delightful erotic video with a mystic soundtrack by Coil. Quite unusual for the band the music features dreamy ambient, almost spa-relaxed soft harmonies, bland tribal rhythms, chimes, and birdsong but still with dark mysterious and inimitable Coil musickal charm. However, the second part of the album explores more rhythmic structures that remind of the "Gay Man's Guide..." soundtrack. Unavailable for 20 years, Iasos first released this album featuring two epic 30-minute tracks in 1978. It was the one of first albums that created a new music genre now known as "New Age" music. "These pieces are extremely soothing, heavenly, loving, and peaceful, and it captures the energies of love - on a galactic scale. It functions as a universal healing comforting presence. This genre of music could be termed "classical New Age music"... This album is a vibrational environment of soothing loving angelic feelings - very nurturing and comforting. Mizar hit right in the heart with melodic, yet sorrow-filled songs, sung by the choir for Byzantine and Eastern Orthodox medieval music called Harmosini. The Balkan Peninsula is a place where every stone has his own history and is soaked with blood. Since their inception in the 80's, darkwave act Mizar has gained cult status among music lovers in Balkan and neighbouring countries. Originally released in a limited edition of 100 copies in wooden case, this CD is now remastered and widely expanded. During their work on the sold out 10-year anniversary 8LP boxset, the Austrian pioneers of Alpine Folk Music created this Dark Psychedelic collection of scary tales around the holy mount Untersberg. Legends telling of people who went inside the hollow mountain, to visit Kaiser Karl and his folks living / sleeping there, waiting for the end of days to fight the final battle. In most of these tales the visitors were only a few hours or days inside the mountain and his inside castles and monasteries, but when they returned to the outer world (IF they ever returned), many years had passed. This phenomenon is called "Bergentrückung". Don't expect the Sturmpercht-typical 'nice' fairie tales, beautiful Folk songs or joyful drinking hymns; this album is pure Alpine Darkness! ZERO KAMA - 'Zero Kama' 3 x CD (Infinite Fog Productions) - £29

Zero Kama was an experimental music project founded by Zoe DeWitt in 1983. Appearing after an initial outing on the cult compilation "The Beast 666" (Nekrophile, 1983), the debut album "The Secret Eye of L.A.Y.L.A.H." (1984) is regarded as one of the key albums of ritual industrial music. The fact that all instruments used for this recording were exclusively made from human bones and skulls, its elusive musical style, the implied occult symbolism, as well as the short-time existence of Zero Kama, have all contributed to the cult status of this project. After playing two live concerts in the Netherlands in 1985, and featuring on the Nekrophile compilation "The Archangels Of Sex Rule The Destruction Of The Regime", Zero Kama completely withdrew from the public. Infinite fog Productions now presents a complete anthology release of Zero Kama featuring, for the first time ever, everything recorded by the project on one set: "The Secret Eye of L.A.Y.L.A.H.", "Live In Arnhem" (previously released by Athanor in 2008), and "The Goatherd And The Beast" (a collection of all compilation tracks, previously released by Athanor on 10" in 2001). The recordings were transferred from original tapes, carefully mastered by Martin Bowes at the Cage Studios and Micro Majong at Micro Majong Studio. Comes in a deluxe 8-panel digipak.
