LULL - 'That Space Somewhere' CD £11 MASCHINENZIMMER 412 (MZ. 412) - 'Malfeitor' CD £11 GENESIS P-ORRIDGE & DAVE BALL - 'Imagining October' (Derek Jarman) O.S.T. 12" Etched £21
The first new album in 14 years from LULL - the pioneering, isolationist dark ambient project of MICK HARRIS (SCORN, FRET, ex-NAPALM DEATH).

"I finally heard the way of recording, making profound sounds. Lull is purely something I can get lost in, as far as trying to create these imaginary spaces.
LULL is quite natural for me. It's an extension of me. Drifting. Just going to darkness. Into a space. LULL is drifting and droning, discovering more and more what can be done with sound. These soundscapes hugely appeal to me".

CD in a matt digipak with majestic artwork by Abby Helasdottir (Gydja).

A history lesson, recorded in autumn 1989. Unavailable for over 20 years in any format, "Malfeitor" is the classic album from Swedish Black Industrial act Maschinenzimmer 412.

This is evil incarnate, staring into the abyss. With a more lyrical approach than the predecessor "Macht Durch Stimme", "Malfeitor" explores themes of death, with an unequivocal dystopian outlook.

Cavernous heavy industrial, primitive machine rhythms, and cold metallic loops created on old synths with very little post-production. Originally released on LP in 1989 (CMI) this monumental album is now available for the first time since 2001. Also available on digital for the first time ever!

Mastered from the original 4-track tapes.
Matt-laminate digipak with new artwork.

The first ever release of the soundtrack to the rarely-seen DEREK JARMAN 1984 short film "Imagining October", with music recorded by Derek's friend and collaborator Genesis P-Orridge (PSYCHIC TV / THROBBING GRISTLE), and Dave Ball (SOFT CELL / THE GRID). Recorded at DJM recording studios in Theobalds Road, London.

Jarman considered it one of the best, if not the best, of his shorter works. It was intended as an agit-prop work and the combination of music and imagery remains powerful to this day.

Limited Edition 12" vinyl featuring a beautiful etched B-Side. Features liner notes by James Mackay (Jarman's producer, collaborator and archivist).

KOLLAPS - 'Until The Day I Die' CD - £11
DEAD VOICES ON AIR - 'Abrader Redux' CD - £11 JAGATH - 'Svapna' CD - £11
The third album from the Australian post-industrial outfit is a merciless and visceral assault on the senses. An uncompromising force of harsh post-industrial music created with a wide variety of metals, raw materials, metal grates, a rusted hoist, cement cylinders, field recordings, hammering of various decrepit objects, broken amplifiers, various synthesizers, and the infamous metal coil. Much of the creation and lyrical conceptualisation of the record has been stylised and presented using William S. Burroughs' cut-up method.

Mastering: James Plotkin. Art: Nullvoid (T. Ekelund | Trepaneringsritualen).
CD in 6-panel digipak || LP in reverse board sleeve and printed inner lyric sleeve.

The hugely sought-after debut album from DEAD VOICES ON AIR (Mark Spybey of DOWNLOAD / ex-ZOVIET FRANCE, REFORMED FACTION), featuring cEvin Key (SKINNY PUPPY / DOWNLOAD).

"Abrader" blends processed sounds from primitive instruments and found objects into hypnotic loped rhythmic structures, with dark clusters of heavy ambient washes into Organic Panambience, or 'music for the eyes'.

Features previously-unreleased bonus tracks recorded 1994 - taking this masterwork up to 7 tracks and over 67 minutes of exceptional music. Matt-laminate digipak with art by Spybey.

The brand new album from the ritual / industrial / dark ambient act who create music at abandoned industrial locations.

"A portal to another world is located inside an abandoned Soviet-era swamp drain near a residential building in the Zakamsk suburb of Perm, Russia, 58.0122, 55.9623. A ritual was performed here, so now we are living in an inside-out world. This is one of the last recordings inside our Temple - the oil tanks are finally scrapped. Dedicated to the victims of totalitarian regimes".

A vision of a decaying post-industrial age. For fans of: Raison D'etre, Shibalba, Phurpa. 6-panel digipak.

ANA FOSCA - 'Poised At The Edge Of Structure' CD (Helen Scarsdale Agency) - £11.50

Ana Fosca is a woman raging, wrestling, communing, and plainly preoccupied with the humanity's propensity for tragedy, violence, and blight. It is with a particular strain of noise - dour, miserable, frightening - through which she harnesses these conditions. Fosca honed her craft by with constant performances throughout Denmark, Sweden, and Germany, especially through the dynamic community of Mayhem in her native Copenhagen. The feral expressionism she developed in performance is matched by a numerous, existential and conceptual antecedents that inform Fosca's work. On "Poised..." she evinces her gesamtkunstwerk as Ana Fosca in all of its harrowing portent, composing along cyclonic patterns of oppositional forces, searing noise, and ominous drone, bellowing repetitive chants deep in the mix; a cathartic incantation where meaning can be found within all of this agony and despair. Describing the album as the "mathematics of grief", Fosca never settles into the tropes of power electronics, dark ambient, death industrial, or electroacoustic practices, but absorbs the most impactful facets to all these aesthetics. Akin to the fraught psychological proclamations of Puce Mary, or the violent miasma of Maeror Tri / Troum at their most industrial. Mastered by Grant Richardson (Gnawed). 6-panel reverseboard digipak.
CAPRICORNI PNEUMATICI - 'Nibbas' CD (Eighth Tower Records / Unexplained Sounds) - £12

The rediscovery of the cult 1989 tape cassette "Nibbas" by Capricorni Pneumatici, originally released by Minus Habens, and now presented on CD for the first time. The band took their name from the Aleister Crowley "Liber A' ASH vel Capricorni Pneumatici SUB FIGURA CCCVII", and between 1987-1991 were one of the most active projects of the esoteric / industrial Italian underground. "The music is tempered and gritty with a great deal of variety on the micro level... The underlying sources include field recordings of natural and human-made sounds, as well as synth and vocal elements, post-industrial clangs, heavily processed voices, sweeping textures, waves, oscillations, drones, and walls of sound... an experimental gem [which] uncannily predicted the future directions of a genre that did not exist at the time." (Avant Music News). Ltd x 200 copies in a digipak.
CRISTIANO BOCCI - 'Beyond The Dark Zones' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £12

"Beyond The Dark Zones" does what its title promises; it takes us beyond the heavy sounds of dark ambience. Bocci's poetics are rooted in the electronic soil of texture-based music; the plant that grows from it is a multi-faceted, many-branched thing. Many of the programs he uses to generate and manipulate sound are his own custom designs, with which composes floating drones and dirges, thickly woven textures of overlapped and interleaved timbres, stretched and compressed tones, basic motifs that are looped, granulated, and otherwise transfigured. Many of the compositions incorporate acoustic instruments, modal tonalities, and cyclical rhythms as well as instrumental ensembles from bass, brass, reeds, piano, and the human voice. The aesthetic core of the album is defined by the deep pitches and minor keys of dark ambience, with slowed-down jazz fusion, hints of field recordings, down-tempo electronica, spoken word, and choral music. Ltd x 300 copies in a 6-panel digipak.
KLEISTWAHR - 'Winter' LP (Helen Scarsdale Agency) - £20

Kleistwahr is the solo project of Gary Mundy, the legendary power electronics and noise-rock musician, founding member of RAMLEH, and boss of the highly influential Broken Flag label. Solemn drones and elegiac long-form passages gird Kleistwahr's "Winter", which often chimes, glistens, and glows through a unhurried constructs for organ, synth, guitar, and electronics. Yet Mundy pivots throughout with triumphant explosions of shrill noise, redlined overload, and harrowingly anguished vocals from the great unknown. This is quintessential Kleistwahr. "Winter" was originally published as part of the 10-cassette anthology set "On Corrosion" from 2019 and now finally sees a well-deserved standalone release. Mastered by James Plotkin. Ltd x 300 copies with download card.
ORGANUM ELECTRONICS - 'Wildness' CD (Siren Records) - £14.50

The 5th and final volume of Organum Electronics, the ultra heavy Drone Noise project of British artist David Jackman. The difference from his main project, Organum, is that it literally uses electronics as a material for creating sounds. Lighting flashes through the ether and rain whips the earth violently from the innermost depths, the pale light of candles a constancy. A midnight torrent overflows and marks time in solitude... Order flows through chaos. Every step of the spiral is forever surging and altered yet everlasting... The sounds draw out to an inner sea turning to dark fundamental notes and overtones... The voice of wildness resonating in an impenetrable world that continues to churn and swirl Between cathode and anode - iron filings pattern around a magnet... The water rises, returning as rain changed to smoke and reappearing as vapour. The mass of the earth compressing the rocks. Fire changes everything, rising and falling, opening and closing... "With Organum Electronics, the minimal approach lies in the single long-form piece of electronic sounds. David Jackman, the man behind Organum/Electronics, is never too forthcoming when sharing techniques, instruments and other such trivia... My best guess is that Jackman somehow had access to a modular electronics set-up for a while and worked out a way to be quite extreme. A monolithic sound approach" (Vital Weekly). Ltd x 500 copies in a digisleeve.
STELZER / MURRAY - 'Commit' LP (Helen Scarsdale Agency) - £20

Unnerving, industrial occultation that harkens back to an almost forgotten period of music from the late '80s and early '90s (think Cranioclast, Arcane Device, Small Cruel Party, Organum). The third collaborative album from Howard Stelzer and Brendan Murray is exquisitely composed and overtly nocturnal without ever falling into the tropes of dark ambient and with plenty of gestures, signals, and threats that allude to any number of allegorically inclined processes (i.e. tape manipulation, time-delay accumulation, electro-acoustic minimalism, etc.). Its creators work in ways that are both deeply intense, intuitive and intimate. Ltd x 200 copies on in a reverseboard sleeve. Mastered by James Plotkin. Comes with download card.
VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Anthology Of Contemporary Music From Greece' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £12

In ancient Greece, music played a central role in all areas of life, both public and private. Through these new compositions, one seems to perceive a sonic glimpse into those ancient times, with primitive noise rituals, combining analogue equipment and amplified built instruments, creating a creative blend of ethnological study and ancient culture, alongside abstract minimalism, and electronic and electroacoustic experimentation. Tradition and innovation, past and present, history and future are in a constant dialectical relationship. Music in Greece is still flourishing through its youth, despite the millennia of culture behind it. Features: Grim Machine, Dimitris Savva (2 tracks), Pina Bounce, Savvas Metaxas, Meteoros Meteor, Melophobia, Epavlispavlakis + Nicolas Malevitsis, Costis Drygianakis, d E, Michalis Paraskakis, Lefteris Papadimitriou, Mørket, Conjecture, Andreas Monopolis, Adarcah, Anastasios Kokkinidis, DahaW, and Nikos Sotirelis. Ltd x 200 copies in a digipak.
VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Anthology Of Contemporary Music From South Africa' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £12

Over the last few decades, South Africa has become a new hub for exploratory music and sound art. A community of practitioners of experimental, improvisational, and avant-garde musicians focus on creating a supporting, nurturing environment, with innovative hybrids between African folk tradition, jazz, improvised music, drone music, experimental electronic, and everything in between. In this anthology, USG tries to follow the most interesting clues of this emerging scene; from high skilled musicians who have been featured in prestigious festivals all around the world, to the subterranean DIY artists who utilize this hybridization and deconstruction of popular music genres, we see a new, growing movement. Many of these new musicians bring together the folk tradition of various indigenous Southern African musical instruments and other music languages, in the contemporary spirit of preservation and innovation. Features: Nonentia, Mntana.WeXhwele, Pierre-Henri Wicomb, Nardus Niemand, Esther Marie Pauw & Garth Erasmus, Healer Oran, Aragorn23, Gwaing, The Texture Of Silence, hAshtAgblAck.n.o.i.s.e, Chantelle Gray, and Rhéa Dally. Ltd x 200 copies in a digipak.
VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Dracula (Music Inspired By The Bram Stoker's Novel) CD (Eighth Tower Records / Unexplained Sounds) - £12

Dracula is the embodiment of Satan for the Victorian age. The character is sinister, cunning, repulsive, sickening. He is quite different to the suave gentleman that any of the films depict him as. He is an old man who grows younger when gorged with blood. He is a walking, rotting corpse, the opposite to us and a reminder of our own mortality. Perhaps the novel's popularity has always been in its ability to make one feel like order has been restored through a strong empathy with the characters. We feel that we have become part of their existence through reading their diaries, letters and hearing their phonograph recordings. Dispelling the shadows and bringing light where once there was only fear in darkness... subduing the beast within us and aspiring to righteousness. This collection celebrates the 125th anniversary of Bram Stoker's "Dracula", with international musicians bringing their musical interpretation of this modern myth. With gloomy dark ambient, droning soundscapes and electroacoustic compositions, all the pieces are inspired by chapters, scenes, or characters from the novel. Features: Dead Space Chamber Music, Subterranean Source, Onasander & Les Anges Morts, Michael Bonaventure, Grey Frequency, David Strother, Rapoon, [ówt krì], Kloob, Mario Lino Stancati, Howlround, and Henrik Meierkord. Ltd x 200 copies in a 6-panel digipak with art by John Chadwick.

GOVERNMENT ALPHA - 'Affective Imagery' CD (Abhorrent Creation Tapes) - £11.50

Studio album from cult Japanese harsh noiser Government Alpha. Mangled scraping, droning junk noise, pitted against walls of insane, stomach-churning noise. Active since 1983, K2 is the personal noise project of Kimihide Kusafuka, who has been making numerous noise works in distinct phases. The current "Phase 3" (2005-present) is focused on mixer feedback noises and electro-core / modular synth work and this album is no exception! The motif of album is the devastating typhoon which hit east Japan in 2019. Ltd x 500 copies.

Second full-length album from Italian brothers Maurizio & Roberto Opalio (My Cat Is An Alien) and vocalist Ramona Ponzini (Praxinoscope). 'Fallen Camellias' is a tribute to one of the greatest poetess ever, Japanese Yosano Akiko, whose work in literature in the early 1900's is considered as manifesto of the Japanese Romanticism. Imagine a Vashti Bunyan or a early Marianne Faithful singing sweet melodies in Japanese language, and you can have an idea of the musical and poetical universe of PPOPG. The songs of 'Fallen Camellias' are built on acoustic guitar melodies and are made of the same pure, melancholy of the legendary Nick Drake. Let 'Fallen Camellias' be your warm blanket, as well as the promise of a new future spring. 6-panel digipak.
VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Anthology Of Electronic Music From Scandinavia' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £12

The electronic music emanating from the Scandinavian region encompasses a vast universe and has a long tradition behind it. In 1964 the electronic music studio EMS in Stockholm opened as a conventional analogue studio, its primary intention being to build the world's most advanced hybrid studio and to conduct an international research program into sound and sound perception. Since then the Scandinavian electronic music scene has continued to flourish decade upon decade, culminating in the most recent ambient and minimalistic sound shapes. USG started researching Scandinavian electronic and experimental music in 2015 with the "Scandinavian Experimental Underground 015 Survey". A second anthology was released 2016, its remit being much wider than the first, entitled "Northern Lights - The Scandinavian Experimental 016 Survey". Both were published in digital format only, but finally a CD edition containing a selection of 12 tracks from those compilations now emerges into the light. A fantastic tribute to an experimental electronic music scene that is still evolving and growing, the Unexplained Sounds network continuing to chart its ever-expanding boundaries as the future unfolds. Features: Jukka-Pekka Kervinen, Andreas Karperyd, Lars Bröndum, Øystein Jørgensen, Havdis, Dödsapparaten, VÄäristymä, Claus Poulsen, Untermensch, Castana, Jurko Haltuu, and Sysselmann. Ltd x 200 copies in a digipak.
VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Ekhnatòn - Ricera Italiana Semplice Numero Uno' CD (Silentes) - £7

This compilation, originally released in 1984 on LP by Multiple Configuration and A Dull Note, is finally available again in a completely remastered CD version. "Ekhnatòn" collects tracks recorded by the most daring and remarkable bands that were active in the Italian Industrial / Experimental scene during those years. Through a valuable and accurate restoration, Silentes reissue an unmissable overview on the first intuitions and experimental methodologies that shaped those times, leaving a permanent mark - in Italy and abroad - on the following generations. Two tracks apiece from: Evitaxal, Maze 1066, Tasaday and Tomografia Assiale Computerizzata (T.A.C.).
VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Hauntology In UK' CD (Eighth Tower Records / Unexplained Sounds) - £12

"Hauntology" is one of those difficult philosophy words that seems designed to exist on the margins of our consciousness. The term originates in the work of the notorious Algerian-born French philosopher Jacques Derrida, and is first mentioned in his book Specters of Marx, which was originally delivered as a series of lectures at the University of California in 1993. In Derrida, the concept of hauntology is very much a political one. But the word "hauntology" has gained the currency it has today thanks to Mark Fisher, philosopher, cultural critic and blogger, who took his own life in 2017. Fisher has posthumously assumed the sort of legendary status reserved for thinkers considered to be among the most important or insightful of their time. In Fisher's view, the 21st century is oppressed by a crushing sense of finitude and exhaustion"; the current cultural moment is "in the grip of a formal nostalgia", in which ostensibly "new" things are produced only through the imitation and pastiche of old forms. It was originally as a way of understanding the "loss of the future" that Fisher - in correspondence with the music critic Simon Reynolds - began to invoke the concept of hauntology. Features: Rapoon & Sonologyst (2 tracks), Howlround (2 tracks), Grey Frequency, Pascal Savy, Michael Bonaventure, Foreseer, and Dead Space Chamber Music. Ltd x 200 copies in a 6-panel digipak.
RECENT FAVOURITES
FINAL (JUSTIN K. BROADRICK) - 'I Am The Dirt Under Your Fingernails' CD (Fourth Dimension) - £11.50

Since 1983, Justin K. Broadrick (Godflesh, Jesu, Council Estate Electronics, The Sidewinder, etc.) has been producing largely solo, but sometimes collaborative, work under the FINAL moniker. Beginning as a more obviously power electronics-inspired project it has during the past two decades or so evolved into one which still retains that sonic intensity but has a more expansive sound. "I Am the Dirt Under Your Fingernails" is the latest album, comprising nine tracks each named and numbered after the album's title. "IATDUYF" violently pushes us through a murky world of suffocating textures, crepuscular guitars, serrated noise and what appear to be random bursts of sawmill grind which together create the perfect backdrop to today's newscape. This is a relentless sound that's absolutely unforgiving as it hammers home anger and despair with little respite, illustrating very clearly that JK Broadrick has been one of the very few to contort the uncompromising approach of early power electronics into wholly new and contemporary forms rife with greater possibilities. Ltd x 400 copies in a digipak.
KLEISTWAHR - 'Common Values' CD (Fourth Dimension) - £11.50

"Common Values", Kleistwahr's 13th album, gathers six cuts that on one hand continue Gary Mundy's (RAMLEH) penchant for exploring more serrated sonic landscapes and, on the other, keep those in check with a tempered approach to atmospherics that this time round is widened further by almost kosmische-like curdled organ playing, electronic swirl, psychedelic guitar mainlined from one of Saturn's outer rings, and occasional haunting yet despairing vocals that are more pronounced than ever before. "Common Values" is a title itself that simultaneously commands empathy as well as a wry nod towards the irony at work. If anything serves as a common thread in all of Gary's work then it's not only in his love of stratospheric sounds, but also this deep sense of anguish due to hoping things will improve whilst knowing that humanity is its own worst enemy. "Common Values" sounds both like a basic recognition of a quality most individuals are possessed with whilst they tear each other apart because of perceived differences or a disagreement over fundamental truths, illuminating this more than ever. Ltd x 300 copies packaged in the classic Broken Flag-style mini-gatefold LP style sleeve, with photography by Chris Low.
ARKTAU EOS - 'Eremos' CD (Aural Hypnox) - £12.50

"Eremos" is one of the most involved and intense creations from Finnish ritual ambient outfit Arktau Eos. While intentionally minimal on the surface, layer upon layer of subtle, haunting, and evocative sounds are slowly revealed to the attentive listener. "Eremos" aims at nothing less than the total transition of the listener to the desert realms implied by the title. Old synthesizers and ritualistic acoustic elements are seamlessly blended with even more obscure aural phenomena, including field recordings captured in Northern Finland and the untamed steppes of Mongolia. Solitude bestows its own distinct gifts upon the seeker. "Eremos" is expansive; the desert that opens before the listener is not a locus of temptations or simple retreat, but a vivid inner mindscape of dramatic confrontations and transformations between flora, fauna, stellar matter, earth, and stone. Gradually they shed away the humanness in its most banal sense, until man identifies with the scorpionic voice of power that carries to the ends of the earth - and cosmos. Ltd x 440 copies enclosed in a customised, screen-printed cardboard cover including an oversized folded insert on old paper stock.
COLUMN ONE - 'W.Transmission 1-5' 5 x CD Boxset (Zoharum) - £48

Presented for the first time on CD, "World Transmission" is a series of rare tracks, consolidated and performed by COLUMN ONE in chronological order to document some of its phases. This work exists as a stepping stone while its essential creators were at work.

"W.T. 1", recorded 1991-92 (released as a tape-only release in 1992), focused on the roots of COLUMN ONE that lie in a combination of coded key sounds and images, degrees and movements of immersion and subversion into their consciousness. These recordings take place without variations in a psychic Space; without raising claim of wanting to enter a musical universe. This CD also documents the first attempts to experiment with tape and sound in 1984, over previously unreleased tracks. "W.T. 2" was originally released on LP + 7" in 1993 was created with voices, violin, bells, steel, real and electronic percussion, tape-manipulation, organ whistles, accordion, xylophone, keyboards and more. "W.T. 3" was an attempt to follow the physical aura of religious architecture. It documents COLUMN ONE over two days in a church, repelling the vibrating body of this concentrated space using microphones, effects, a record player, AMP, and speakers. The manipulated sounds were radiated into the room, but the key and character of the recording are to be found in the architectural presence of the church itself. "W.T.4" is the revised document of a COLUMN ONE event on 3rd April 1998 at Eimer in Berlin. Vibrations of "Ritual" materials were produced with acoustic instruments and sounds from the direct environ. Vibrations in a vault, in the centre of Berlin, with all COLUMN ONE members in white robes in catacombs scenery. "W.T.5" was recorded in August 2001 and August 2010. Under the banner of "Continuum", is the final chapter in the World Transmission series [read more about the concept of these albums].
Regular Edition, encased in an outer matt card slipcase, flood-printed on the inside, with each of the 5 albums is presented in its own 6-panel glossy digisleeve. Ltd x 150 copies.
HALO MANASH - 'Elemental Live Forms MMV - Initiation' CD (Aural Hypnox) - £14

"Elemental Live Forms MMV - Initiation" is a recording of the first public Halo Manash live ritual, and also a complete, previously unreleased work in itself. The work was presented only a single time, also being the only time the four involved personae of the group performed together as one. The live ritual, recorded over a decade ago in Tampere, Finland, focuses on the boundless elemental form returning from metaphysical pilgrimage - it bridges the worlds of being and non-being. Ash and antler, blood and bone, drum and drone, tree and metal collide to create an intense audial journey between worlds - one of re-birth, initiation, and primal thundering. Much more than a mere live recording, this seminal work is now finally released in a package as an object of power. It was handmade in the underground Aural Hypnox laboratories, featuring various guiding sigils, inserts and historical notes from the Halo Manash archives. Ltd x 444 copies enclosed in an oversized screen-printed A5 cardboard cover including a booklet, 4-panel xerox-insert and eight, two-sided insert cards within a stamped envelope. A work of sublime beauty!
SUDDEN INFANT - 'Lunatic Asylum' LP (Fourth Dimension) - £18

Sudden Infant - Joke Lanz, with Christian Weber on bass, and Alexandre Babel on drums - lays on a battery of electronics, loops, field recordings and samples to complement mostly semi-spoken vocals. Short bursts of angular flex are heavily propelled by depth-charge rhythms, wry lyrical musings on modern living, and sensibilities hatched from years of experience in the worlds of sound art, abstract music, and industrialised junk-noise. "Lunatic Asylum" depicts a world in absolute disarray as the seams binding it together slowly fall apart to reveal jesters whose best attempts to glue everything back in place are built on bigger lies more transparent than ever. Meanwhile, citizens of the developed world turn on each other, with their descent into an ignorance nourished by half-baked cultural nuggets pre-packaged and sold as great and awe-inspiring work. Everything has to be recorded, photographed and shared as brain cells are decimated by false ideals, propaganda, exaggerated lifestyles. Such are the snapshots that resonate as "Lunatic Asylum" takes some well-aimed swipes at the human condition of the 21st Century. Features a fantastic guest appearance by Franz Treichler (The Young Gods). Artwork by Joke Lanz, Martin Baumgartner, Selma Marhaug, and design by Lasse Marhaug. Comes with release artcard.
CAVERNA DELLE ROSE - 'Elysian Chants' LP Black (Slaughter In Art) - £23
CAVERNA DELLE ROSE - 'Elysian Chants' LP Blue Marbled (Slaughter In Art) - £25
CAVERNA DELLE ROSE - 'Elysian Chants' LP Green Marbled (Slaughter In Art) - £25

Vinyl edition of this fantastic album from 2021, which comes in three colour choices. Inspired by magical rituals and practices from antiquity to modern times, Caverna delle Rose stands as a liminal musical project between research and reinterpretation. Conducted by AimA (Les Jumeaux Discordants, iNsCissorS, Allerseelen), 3Evor Ameisie (Northgate, Almagest!, Camerata Mediolanense) and Diego Cinquegrana, the Caverna delle Rose project draws an anthropologically coherent sound bridge between ancient practices and beliefs and contemporaneity. "Elysian Chants", the group's first release, takes us on an evocative journey through seven Orphic Hymns (Late Hellenistic Period) and a Song of Creation. "If the veil is not torn beyond the visible, our knowledge will have been only an illusion and our existence a shadow among the shadows". Reminiscent of the spirit of The Moon Lay Hidden Beneath A Cloud or Hagalaz Runedance. Comes with artcard and download code. Ltd x 300 copies on 180gm heavyweight vinyl, over 3 colourways: Black Ltd x 180, Blue Marbled Ltd x 60 copies, and Green Marbled Ltd x 60 copies. CD edition also back in stock!
AEOGA - 'Obsidian Outlander' CD (Aural Hypnox) - £12.50

"Obsidian Outlander" slowly weaves together a droning fabric of guitars and analogue synths that melt together with abstract sounds and field recordings. Whereas earlier works have been more holistic in nature, "Obsidian Outlander" is maybe the most narrow-focused thus far - bound only to a certain frame and concept. The album exhales its nocturnal essence upon the listener and inhales this sensory experience back into Aeoga's mythopoetical dimension, crystallizing into a vision of a vigil standing before a slowly throbbing corpsecloth, while the black loom weaves the fabric of UN-inverse-OM. Ltd x 500 copies enclosed in a customised and screen-printed Sublunar series cardboard cover, including three two-sided insert cards.
