A deep reworking of Llyn Y Cwn's "Megaliths" (2024). The original was a profound dark ambient exploration of the sacred resonance embedded within stone circles; "Megaliths In Dub" is the echo beneath the surface, the unheard rhythm that has always been there.
The megaliths stand - timeless, unyielding. Their histories stretch beyond recorded memory, their presence imbued with silent narratives of the land. "Megaliths" sought to channel this ancient energy into pure sound. Yet no history exists without its counterpart - no creation without its shadow.
On "Megaliths In Dub", suppressed tempos emerge, pulsing with the primal force of forgotten rites. Guitar invocations from the live rituals weave through the fabric of the album, distorting and reshaping the familiar, exquisite dark ambient Llyn Y Cwn has become renowned for.
It is a sonic metamorphosis - a spectral reflection of the megalithic presence.

CHIMEHOURS - 'Underneath The Earth'

"Underneath The Earth" is the debut album from Chimehours; a hauntological music project for the dislocated present day. Taking inspiration from Max Porter's novel "Lanny", the album digs into themes of nature, myth and community, with an edge of folk-horror.
Drones, drums and gritty guitars are juxtaposed with woodwind, strings and ethereal song. Written and produced between Derbyshire, London and Margate, the album takes musical influence from the likes of Liz Fraser, Broadcast, Beth Gibbons, Bibio and Jóhann Jóhannsson, and atmospheric cues from The Wickerman, The Fog, and Enys Men.
Chimehours is a collaboration between Beck Goldsmith and Jon Dix. The pair have previously performed in bands together and composed music for award-winning film and television. They conjured up this foray into cinematic, horror-flecked contemporary-folk to explore their love of the supernatural and the other-than-human.
Chimehours raid the vaults of 70's British cinema and trad folk soundscapes to riff on contemporary anxieties and ecological yearning. The result is a collection of all things earthy, exquisite and grotesque.

VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Decoder'

Released on standalone CD for the first time in 33 years, this now-complete edition of the ground-breaking, legendary soundtrack is finally here.
A cult classic of sci-fi dystopia, "Decoder" (1984) saw EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN's members working alongside GENESIS P-ORRIDGE (THROBBING GRISTLE / PSYCHIC TV) and WILLIAM S. BURROUGHS. It's one of the strangest (and most prescient) films of the decade. The film was made in Hamburg and Berlin, and directed by Klaus Maeck 'Muscha' (who directed several punk films).
The lead roles are played by Christiane F and FM Einheit from Neubauten, who also contributed to the film's score. Genesis P-Orridge, the kingpin of the English industrial scene, also appears as a priest of the Black Noise faith. Author William S. Burroughs portrays an insurrectionist salesman of audio equipment (and contributes spoken word to the soundtrack), and American cult actor Bill Rice plays a detective.
SOFT CELL contributed their classic 'Seedy Films', while MATT JOHNSON from THE THE wrote a frenetic, deformed song for the film that is both fantastic and painful to listen to, and EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN's 'Compressed Metal' is sublime. Dave Ball (SOFT CELL), Jon Caffery and Genesis P-Orridge composed the rest of the soundtrack.
A futuristic film, and a joyous application of William S. Burroughs' "The Electronic Revolution", which proposes a seditious and rather poetic method of subverting the masses and inciting them to rise up against the forces of order.

Illustrious Company presents... Mesmerine 111™. This is a 3D soundscape based on / inspired by the frequency 111Hz, which has been historically and scientifically proven to induce a trance-like state.
Findings of MRI scans suggest that at exactly 111hz, the brain switches off the prefrontal cortex, deactivating the language centre, and temporarily switches from left to right-sided dominance, which is responsible for intuition, creativity, holistic processing, inducing a state of meditation or a trance.
These findings have been confirmed by archeo-acousticians in studies regarding ancient and Neolithic shamanistic burial rituals around the world. The title is a take on the use of sound as pharmacology (Mesmerine is the name of an imaginary drug). ...
The soundscape of the ambient Dose 1 is 50 minutes in duration - long enough to induce a true trance-like state. Dose 2 continues with a calming and unctuous vocal mix performed by Charles Stooke. Bringing to mind HAL 9000 (2001: A Space Odyssey), the sound is simultaneously reassuring and disquieting.
The world premiere of the 3D sound composition was at the FOCUS Art Fair in New York, Spring 2025.

The complete recordings of the legendary Marc And The Mambas run of three live performances given at The Duke Of York's Theatre in London's West End in 1983. Restored from the original VHS tape recordings made by the late Peter 'Sleazy' Christopherson (Throbbing Gristle, Coil), these remain the only recordings that exist of Marc And The Mambas performing live.
Originally released in 2012 on Marc Almond's (Soft Cell) own Strike Force Entertainment label as a CD/DVD set (long sold out), this edition, presented on vinyl for the first time, contains the 17 tracks from the SFE CD release, expanded to include the two bonus DVD-only tracks: 'Près Des Ramparts De Séville' and 'Jacky'. Completely remastered for vinyl by Martin Bowes (The Cage Studios).
A combination of the chanson and torch songs which he still sings today, over piano, strings and woodwind-accompanied compositions. "It's quite a spectacle, especially when Almond hits his sweet spot of sinister lyrics, declared pompously over a droned string arrangement... Early signs of the full-on showtune and classical rearrangements that make up Almond's current albums are evident"(Record Collector).
Presented on heavyweight double vinyl in a deluxe glossy gatefold sleeve featuring the extensive reminiscence by Marc Almond himself from the 2012 release.
Also included is a reproduction of the 16-page programme printed for the three concerts in 1983. The stunning cover painting by Val Denham is exclusive to this release.

Unavailable for almost 30 years in its own right, this collection from the Cold Spring archive has been remastered / repackaged with new art. This classic album exists as a document of the soundtrack work PSYCHIC TV created for the many films and videos of Derek Jarman. Another demonstration of why PSYCHIC TV were one of the most important groups in the world.
The titular track, 'Prayer For Derek', is intended as an invocationary prayer, based on Tibetan rituals; a collage of sounds including field recordings of the lulling waves running aground on the shingle beach opposite Jarman's Prospect Cottage in Dungeness, Kent alongside bird song, crying babies, and massed ritualised chants to aid the late film director in his after-life journeys.
Other tracks feature elongated drones, washes of dissonance, melancholic guitar chime, evocative piano scoring, Burroughs cut-ups, gothic chants, and familiar snarling dogs.

An aural exploration of the solar system using data from NASA's probes.
On the latest album by Sonologyst, raw data from radio waves, electromagnetic fields, and plasma fluctuations, utilising data sonification files provided by NASA, are transformed into a haunting soundscape, unveiling the ambient music of planets, solar winds, and the cosmic beyond.
As the newest addition to Sonologyst's series of sonic documentaries, this work deepens his exploration of the sonic spectrum, converting cosmic phenomena into immersive auditory experiences.

 CAPRICORNI PNEUMATICI - 'Ix Tab' CD (Eighth Tower Records / Unexplained Sounds) - £12
Capricorni Pneumatici present an album dedicated to the mysterious Mayan deity, goddess of ropes and snares, and patroness of those who hang themselves. Originally released on cassette in 1988, the album was influenced not only by Mayan mysteries but also by Western and medieval esotericism (I.A.O., The Inquisition, etc.) and vampirism (Akhkharu). The artwork features glyphs and images of demons taken from the Dresden Codex, and the cover image specifically is a representation of Ix Tab, likely the only existing visual depiction of the deity. At the time, the tape was distributed through underground channels and in a well-known esoteric bookstore in Milan, where, following the interest generated by CP I, Al-Azif, and the Zos-Kia zine, rumours began to circulate that Capricorni Pneumatici was a mysterious secret Californian group devoted to unspeakable cults and somehow connected to Anton LaVey's Church.
"Ix Tab" was recorded between Nov 1987 - Jan 1988, and it is the first full-length album by Capricorni Pneumatici to make extensive use of the Yamaha DX7 synthesizer, alongside the Revox A77, used as an echo/effect unit and to manipulate vocals, as no digital effects were available at the time. The recordings involved experimental techniques, including the use of glass bottles as wind instruments and a 50Hz sine wave captured by moving a cardioid microphone within the space between two speakers emitting the frequency. This album includes some vocal parts attributed in the credits to an entity called Soda Caustica. Ltd x 100 copies (CD proper) in 6-panel digipak.

 CAPRICORNI PNEUMATICI - 'Variants' CD (ADN) - £12
"Variants" is a new chapter of Capricorni Pneumatici - an esoteric post industrial project that started in Italy during the 90's. First of all you will be caught by the "pleasant" cover recalling Flemish painter Hieronymus Bosch. You may see it as an introduction to the dark disquieting spaces crossed by CP during the 7 lengthy tracks of this work (ranging from 5 to 18 minutes). The sound generated by live electronics, percussion and treated guitars subtly flows from one track to the other trying to overcome the opacity of the world of shadows with intense and incisive layers that bring the listener to concentrate his attention on this minimalist experience leaving out the external world. This opus was created in hot summer of a hot city like Milano but has the winter climate of Northern Europe in it. Digipak.

 INANIS YOAKE - 'Shallow Mist' CD (Dark Vinyl) - £12
Inanis Yoake is back after a two-year hiatus with their third album, "Shallow Mist". A dark and sinister thread unites every one of the 12 songs of the album leading to an introspective trip of the duo. Simone Skeleton and Risa Hara who composed and performed all the songs, (vocals, lyrics, synths, piano, drums and strings arrangements) showcase a compelling fusion of Postpunk, Darkwave, Synthwave, blended accurately and originally; there are no boundaries in their experimentations like in the closing track 'Down Here' with elements of noise rock and psychedelic folk, one of their darkest songs, or 'I've Done Everything I Can', 'The Dismal Sea' and the title track with an electro industrial feel.  KLEISTWAHR - 'Winter / Music For Zeitgeist Fighters' 2 x CD (Fourth Dimension) - £13.50
Double CD set featuring two essential albums from Gary Mundy's (Ramleh / Broken Flag boss) Industrial / Noise project Kleistwahr, both presented on CD for the first time, with five bonus previously-unreleased tracks. "Winter" was originally released on cassette in 2019 as part of the "On Corrosion" box and as a standalone vinyl in 2021 (both Helen Scarsdale Agency) - "Music for Zeitgeist Fighters" was originally a limited vinyl issued in 2017 (Nashazphone). As with all of Kleistwahr's music, the very same strands of noise, tempered abrasiveness and serrated industrial hum that the project initially introduced in the early '80s can still be found guiding the sound but there's so much more to Kleistwahr than this. As with Ramleh, ravaged psychedelia and a tendency to infuse it with sensibilities found more often in art rock, prime period post-punk and even avant-garde music likewise play a significant role, rendering it a distinctive project driven by a singular vision that thankfully shows no signs of letting up.  MAGIC OHM - 'The Sukajan' LP (ADN) - £18
This work has been created by Jerome Genin (alias Magic Aum Gigi alias Diza Star). The music goes back to the golden Krautrock years and is dedicated to early Popol Vuh and Faust. The record thus shows two complementary sides, conceptually and musically different. The first side, called Attraction side, is fully electronic, thematically "attractive", with a subversive magnetisation. The first track includes an unpredictable variation on the Faust song 'J'ai mal aux dents'. The second track of this side can be seen as a kind of bridge between the two other tracks; somewhere in the same way as in his legendary album "Inventions For Electric Guitar", Manuel Göttsching placed in the middle the track 'Quasarsphere' (which also sounds totally different than the two others). This short track was not conceived with Göttsching in mind but with Richard H. Kirk of Cabaret Voltaire. The second side, called Bell side, is undoubtedly the result of a strange mechanical and symbiotic alchemy with a long improvisation of 20 minutes of a celestial nature coming from a Popol Vuh sample, which is also a tribute to Florian Fricke. In the end, a contemplative, dualistic album, originated from the emanations of Krautrock, experimental music, and the cosmic underground. Ltd x 300 copies.

 OPEN TO THE SEA - 'Watering Paper Flowers And Snakes' 2 x CD (ADN) - £14.50
Open To The Sea is the collaboration between Italian artists Enrico Coniglio (Lemures, Aqua Dorsa), Matteo Uggeri (Sparkle In Grey), and Saverio Rosi. The project is characterised by the fusion of gentle and minimalist melodies with electronic elements and field recordings, crafting a unique orchestral arrangement. "Watering Paper Flowers And Snakes" is a double CD featuring reissues and curiosities. The first disc is a reissue of the album "Watering Paper Flowers", originally on Fluid Audio in a extremely limited art edition on double mini CDR.
The second disc includes a collection of unreleased tracks and reworks by Uggeri, Coniglio and Rosi, forming a sort of pastiche of exuberant and colourful pieces, always teetering between different musical genres and blending unconventional influences.

 PALO ALTO - 'The Persistence Of Memory (Early Tapes 1990-1993)' 2 x CD (ADN / Klanggalerie) - £14.50
Palo Alto was formed Paris in 1989 by Jacques Barbéri, Denis Frajerman, Philippe Masson and Philippe Perreaudin. The group took inspiration from Tuxedomoon, Art Zoyd, The Legendary Pink Dots, Coil, The Residents, Can and Cabaret Voltaire. Science fiction in all its forms is a leitmotiv in the group's work. In 1990 Palo Alto released their debut cassette tape, "Le Clos", on Old Europa Cafe. At the time their music was definitely written rather than improvised, consisting mainly of instrumentals with a stress on melody. Two years later, "Extrême Ponction" was released as a cassette on the T.T.I.C.C. Contingent. This double CD collects those two tapes with the addition of "Excroissance", a cassette single from 1993. All material was remastered by Norscq in 2024. Presented in a 6-panel ecopak.

 RALF WEHOWSKY - 'Fading Pictures' CD (Black Rose Recordings) - £11
This is a cinematic and inspiring musical journey which combines beautiful ambience interspersed with haunting atmospheres and electro-acoustic soundscapes - cinema for the ears. "There are feedback-like sounds... a reminder of the early days of musique concrète, but also recordings of stringed instruments, played with bows, played in a somewhat improvised way, but hacked into fine little pieces, edited and served as the next course in this fine dinner. This is the reissue of the long-deleted second album of the well-known medieval neoclassical / 'dungeon synth' band Die Verbannten Kinder Evas, who formed in 1993. The band's name translates to "The Banished Children of Eve", and is taken from a line of the hymn Salve Regina. On this release the band used lyrics based on the poems of Percy Bysshe Shelley and moved in a more classical direction, using Gregorian passages, organs, authentic piano and violin. DVKE was founded by Protector and Silenius of SUMMONING / KREUZWEG OST (who left the band after the debut album). This album, originally released by M.O.S. Records in 1997, has been unavailable in any format since its original release... until now. It has a mystic mood with lots of spheric electronic sounds. Systeme Paradoxe is the French cold electro project of Laurent T. and H. (Hélène). Pure, melancholic and melodic music from this duo who take as much care to chisel their sound as their image. Driving, hypnotic and dark beats with repetitive brittle melodies and icy electronics meets the black atmosphere of film music (think Dark City, Blade Runner), with the voice of H. setting the mood and raising the tone. Systeme Paradoxe is also the musical universe which holds the most to Laurent T.'s heart; the one where he hides the least. New synth, darkwave, coldwave... There are so many terms to define the music of Systeme Paradoxe, yet Laurent T. adds one with the neologism "electrocold" to qualify the result of a real return to the roots in which the duo allows themselves to sink alternating melancholy, hope and disillusionment.  FM EINHEIT (EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN - 'Stein / Fruehlingserwachen + Educacăo' 2 x CD Set (Suezan Studio) - £30
The first solo album by FM Einheit (ex-Einstürzende Neubauten) from 1990. All tracks were digitally remastered in 2004, including an unpublished track from the same time. FM Einheit, a key figure in the founding of Neubauten, had a profound influence on the band's direction. This album, which bridged the gap between Berlin and Hamburg, is being reissued for the first time since its original release in 1990. A compilation of stage and ballet scores created between 1988-1990, it's a masterpiece of industrial music, featuring a wide variety of electronics, orchestration, and, as the album title suggests, heavy percussive sounds produced by "stone". Guest appearances include CHRISTIAN GRAUPNER (aka VOOV), CASPER BRÖTZMANN, DIAMANDA GALÁS, and fellow Einstürzende Neubauten members BLIXA BARGELD and ALEXANDER HACKE. One previously unreleased track is also included. The latest digital remastering, which delivers even higher quality sound than the currently available audio, brings the powerful sound back to life in vivid detail!
The original recording has been recreated using fluorescent ink, and only 500 copies have been pressed, making this a Japan exclusive!

 MAURIZIO BIANCHI - 'Mectpyo Bakterium' CD (Eighth Tower Records / Unexplained Sounds) - £12
"Mectpyo Bakterium" stands as one of Maurizio Bianchi's most clinical and unsettling sonic statements; a corrosive audio document born in the early 1980's industrial underground (originally self-published on cassette by M.B. in 1981). The cryptic title itself fuses mechanical coldness (Mect), purulent infection (-pyo), and microbial life (Bakterium), suggesting an imagined organism: half-machine, half-disease.
This work embodies a sonic pathology, raw, repetitive, and minimal, evoking sterile laboratories, decaying tissues, and viral mutations. It's not music in a conventional sense, but rather a form of aural autopsy: examining the corrupted interface between human biology and technological decay. Originally released at the height of Bianchi's early experiments, "Mectpyo Bakterium" remains a pivotal artifact in the evolution of industrial and power electronics.  DIE TÖDLICHE DORIS - 'Das Typische Ding - Reenactment (I)' CD Boxset (Suezan Studio) - £30
The deluxe CD version of the latest recordings by Die Tödliche Doris after a silent period of decades. A sound spectrum of 31 contemporary dildos and vibrators. The Deadly Doris now appears to us as a performer, musician and instrument in one. Tabea Blumenschein, a founding member, made illustrations of all 31 sex toys. In the Neuköllner recording studio of Frieder Butzmann cultural scientist Katrin Kämpf put the devices into operational and receptive readiness; her reviews appear on the backs of the corresponding portraits (in English, German and Japanese). Wolfgang Müller founded Die Tödliche Doris in 1980, presenting the public persona of Doris as a constantly shifting entity that deliberately engaged the contradictions of the human condition. The band often referenced themselves in the third person singular, alluding to Doris as a fully-formed female character with explosive, colourful emotions. "The Deadly Doris (Englische version), have mastered the illogic of a very creepy dream experienced under the influence of half a litre of out of date "Night Nurse". Full of everything you need; desperate screamed vocals.....in German! Scraping violin strings! Incompetent childlike drumming! And no recognisable reference to modern pop culture. This music is like a Primal Scream from a long forgotten prison cell; which I suppose West Berlin was a large version of when these nutters were active. Unhinged genius!!" (Die or DIY).  FALLEN SUN - 'Parallel Disalignment' CD (Fourth Dimension) - £11.50
Fallen Sun is the solo noise / industrial alter ego of Y'ng-Yin Siew (Reverse Image) from Malaysia. An intense and explosive affair, the sonics on "Parallel Disalignment" are jagged and abrasive as they collide into each other or assume meta-rhythmic forms which flutter violently into torrents of searing lava. Formed from a pedal noise set-up with the exception of one track which was created with Eurorack, the seven pieces successfully apply new meaning to a genre synonymous with the likes of Incapacitants, Merzbow and Masonna. "Parallel Disalignment" presents the perfect title to an album grand in its quest to reach beyond something it might be seen as being part of. Besides the dynamic interplay at work throughout it, often cut with an edge which at first appears as hostile as it is impenetrable, there's something almost uncontrollably joyous to behold. This is evident on the collaborative piece, 'Session 46', which witnesses the deployment of birdsong by Peter Wullen to help counter the overtly incendiary nature of the proceedings with sounds more organic or celebratory.
The final track is taken from a live appearance at the Negative Frequencies show in Malaysia - so powerful you can picture yourself being washed over in this assault of merciless cadences; like being showered in razor blades whilst grinning from ear to ear. Ltd x 300 copies in a digipak. |
 TAIGA - 'Flame Of Our Hearts' CD (Ksenza Records) - £11.50
TAIGA is an atmospheric, Black Metal project from Siberia. Eternal winters and long nights are the perfect maelstrom for the creation of such heavy atmospheric and depressive black metal.
Enhanced by mainman Seredov's inspiration found in the deep woods of the Taiga and wandering the vast tundra, the spirit of Norwegian black metal such as Emperor or Burzum is evident. Slow mourning riffs with a raw edge, shrieking vocals, synth percussion, delicate piano melodies, and a lonely, alienated atmosphere brings out the inner emotional pain and turmoil. Since 2021, Taiga is the duo of Seredov Nikolay (also of Funeral Tears) and Scorpos (also of Apokefale).  J. AERNUS & B. VARVOHZA - 'Do Arauto I' CD (Zazen Sounds) - £12
A ritual dark ambient / drone collaboration between two musicians who have explored the sound translation of ancient spiritualites through their various projects (Wolfskin, Karnnos, Run Arbos, etc.). "Do Arauto I" is a process of wandering, following the two-headed snake's hypnotic movement into the recondite recesses of cosmic transmutation. It is a meditation-like process, of meandering through abandoned monasteries, of searching for the heretic light, while hearing the resounding echoes of lost prayers to the Moon and Sun. The challenge for this record was for the duo to search for new synergies, to reach a synchronic visualization of what lays beyond the ephemeral. The result was a work of monastic drone, contemporary and ancient at the same time, reaching for the light entrenched deep within. A new inner dawn. Few artists have captured the unsettling beauty of the fusion between flesh and machine as hauntingly as Hans Ruedi Giger. His biomechanical visions, cathedrals of bone and chrome, embryonic nightmares suspended in steel wombs, eroticism bound in cold circuitry, have etched themselves into the collective unconscious. Born in Chur, Switzerland, in 1940, H.R. Giger studied architecture and industrial design. His early drawings, ink studies, and airbrush paintings rapidly evolved into a distinctive visual language, the biomechanical style, which merged organic forms with mechanical structures, all suffused with eroticism, existential dread, and an alien logic. His breakthrough came with the publication of "Necronomicon" in 1977, a collection of nightmarish illustrations that captured the attention of filmmaker Ridley Scott, who invited Giger to design the xenomorph and other visual elements for the film Alien (1979). The result was a visual icon that redefined science fiction and horror. The musicians featured on this compilation have interpreted H.R. Giger's themes through dark ambient, industrial, and experimental soundscapes - resonances, echoes of the biomechanical sublime that the master revealed.
