Part 4 in the legendary immersive hydrophonic series by Asmus Tietchens has arrived. "Seuchengebiete 4" consists of six Hydrophonies - treated water sounds. The sonic palette ranges from deep gurgling bass pulses to fragile movements of showering bright particles. The overall mood is earnest, contemplative and dark. Hamburg musician Asmus Tietchens has been working as an independent musician since 1975, specialising in irregular patterns of sonic abstractions that are suspended in gray drones to create cold textural voids from external references. Through "absolute music" he explores the possibilities presented to him by specific sound sources, ranging from water sounds to pure sine wave tones.
