Two years after "The Key", Corrado Altieri (Uncodified) and Simon Balestrazzi (T.A.C., Candor Chasma, Daimon, Hidden Reverse, Dream Weapon Ritual, Sarang etc) are back with a new album inspired by a novel by horror / "Italian splatterpunk" writer Paolo Di Orazio. Nine Tracks, Nine Advanced Psychedelic Events.
"Given their musical origins, it seems obvious for them to draw on the genre proposed by Di Orazio... it's not the first time I've heard that this music is nothing more than psychedelia... we are faced with the successful union between Balestrazzi's atmospheric textures and Altieri's surgical instruments for mutants. Most of the time you breathe stale air in oppressive places, the tension is palpable, the stomach begins to twist and the brain slowly loses its grip on reality. Inevitably, given the object around which the album revolves, there are more aggressive gashes, I imagine precisely managed by Altieri, who often as a sound paste reminds me of Bloodyminded." (The New Noise).
Ltd x 200 copies in a gatefold cardboard sleeve with booklet with illustration by Paolo Di Orazio.
