Zanti is a brand new act from pioneering music legends Anni Hogan & Derek Forbes. Over 18 months Zanti wrote and recorded a cinematically inspired electronica / soundscape album. A compelling combined musical history - Hogan's success as Marc Almond's key collaborator in the 80's, plus her work with a plethora of artists including Nick Cave, Barry Adamson and Wolfgang Flur, fused with iconic bassist Derek Forbes' success with Propaganda and Simple Minds (resulting in a recent prestigious Ivor Novello award) - inspired the sonic pair to create Zanti. Recorded at Parr Street studios in Liverpool with sound engineer Andrea 'Ando' Wright (Echo & The Bunnymen, Brian Jonestown Massacre), with both Hogan & Forbes on singing, playing, writing and production duties.
