MOT is Canadian noise / experimental and visual artist Paul van Trigt (aka Idler). Releasing a handful of CDs and a slew of tapes (on labels like White Centipede Noise, Satatuhatta, Tribe Tapes, New Forces, Throne Heap and tons more) since 2014, MOT makes music with tape loops and amplified objects.

"Bruises" unfolds across nine movements of fractured sound. Built from raw material recorded in 2023, the album drifts between harsh noise and lo-fi crudeness with each piece leaving its mark before dissolving into the next. A deeply textural album that captures fragility, tension, and resilience in equal measure—an evocative meditation on damage and beauty rendered through hiss, hum, and fractured rhythm.
