Active since 1987, Japan's Contagious Orgasm (Hiroshi Hashimoto) intersects many diverse areas of experimental electronic music, including noise, industrial, rhythmic noise, and ambient.

With the brand new album "Penetration Rate", the artist invites you to imagine you're watching an obscure, unsettling arthouse or experimental film. The visuals are fragmented, grotesque, dreamlike: industrial decay, flickering shadows, close-ups of twitching flesh or machinery merging with bodies, sudden bursts of abstract violence or erotic tension without clear narrative.

There's no traditional orchestral score. Instead, the sound design is overwhelming, invasive layers of distant mechanical hums, distorted field recordings of rain on metal, warped voices whispering in reverse, rhythmic pulses that feel like a heartbeat gone wrong, and sudden spikes of white-noise ecstasy or agony. That sonic landscape is exactly what Contagious Orgasm naturally evokes and could perfectly serve as the unofficial or imagined soundtrack for such a film.
