A collection of the demos from doom metal band The River. Incorporating space and subtlety, melody and reflection, The River mix fragile vocals over down tempo rhythms and a dense ebb and flow of guitar to create a bittersweet and wistful sound. The tracks stretch back to 2004-2006 and include tracks from "Different Ways To Be Haunted" and "Oneric Dirges In Mono" with heartfelt conviction. The songs have weathered well and have enjoyed a beefy remastering. Also includes the first and unreleased take of" Alone With My Thoughts" as a bonus.
