Bursts of electricity and deep modular synthesizer drones abound as the K-X-P duo Timo Kaukolampi & Tuomo Puranen present the official soundtrack to the Nordic Sci-Fi noir mystery TV series White Wall.
With the soundtrack to the Oscar-nominated film Euthanizer already under their belts, White Wall is the duo's first foray into the world of television. One of the most expensive productions in Finnish TV history, this has been the most extensive musical project the duo have ever taken part in. The soundtrack is built over a wall of hum and buzz, which are used as a reality-distorting effect. Pulsating electronics and deep modular synthesizer drone create a fitting backdrop to a dark science fiction mystery.
Guest starring on the soundtrack alongside Kaukolampi and Puranen are Pekko Käppi (Kiila) on bowed lyre, Tatu Rönkkö (Lampen) and Abdissa Assefa (Mamba) on scrap metal, drums and percussion, Juho Viljanen (Plain Ride, The Mutants) on trombone, and Mira Kautto on vocals.
