Deluxe CD reissue of the long sold-out LP "Gamzatti", originally released by Total Black in 2014. Includes an extra 27-minute long reworking of original source material entitled "Gamzatti Stripped".

"Gamzatti" marked the first The Rita recordings utilizing sound sources from pointe shoe work to create his signature Harsh Noise Wall sound. The pointe shoe preparation and technique here is by Hannah Sarah Myrberg, and this CD reissue is dedicated to her memory. All of the dancer's pointe shoe movements were mic'd, recorded, photographed, and processed live by The Rita, turning her dance steps into something significantly more sinister.

Gamzatti is arguably Sam McKinlay's (Black To Comm, Vice Wears Black Hose) favourite female classical ballet character. His top three favourite performers of the role are Ludmila Pagliero, Tatiana Terekhova, and Marianela Nunez.
