A full-strength assault of pure Norwegian Black Metal malevolence and majesty, fronted by legendary vocalist, frontman, artist and composer Gaahl (GORGOROTH, WARDRUNA, GOD SEED, TRELLDOM). Under the moniker Gaahls WYRD, he has assembled some of Norway's finest metal musicians: Ole Walaunet (The Batallion, God Seed, Grimfist), Frode Kilvik (Krakow, Aeternus), and Kevin Kvåle (Horizon Ablaze).

Borne out of a project honoring Gaah's musical legacy, Gaahls WYRD continues on the left hand path that has defined his music for 25 years. Recorded in Solslottet Studios, Norway with Iver Sandøy (ENSLAVED), the debut is a unique take on extreme / avant-garde black metal, bestowed upon the masses. Even though "GastiR - Ghosts invited" is firmly rooted in black metal, Gaahl's ghastly vocals on this record are something out of the ordinary and the excellent musicianship charts undiscovered territories.
