Brandkommando is a project that has consistently followed its own path for over 20 years. From the outset, it has sent a clear anti-establishment, anti-communist, and anti-totalitarian message. His albums address various issues related to the bloody events instigated by various representatives of these systems. He opposes manipulation techniques, the denial of freedom of speech, and crimes committed in the name of "higher goals". Therefore, to convey this message, his music ranges from old-school, raw industrial, through power electronics, to noise aesthetics.
His latest album, "1968", is dedicated to the brutal Operation Dunaj, in which "The Warsaw Pact" forces were involved and which aimed to suppress the so-called "Prague Spring". To this day, these events demand proper attention and reckoning, or at least proper assessment, especially as history repeats itself and the rulers of a country that was brutally pacified by communist bloc forces for its freedom-loving views, indulge Russia's policies. As you can see, the topic remains relevant, and its musical setting, included on this album, perfectly introduces the topic.
