"Deep Sea" is an electroacoustic album based on hydroacoustic material from underwater monitoring archives. At the intersection of field recording practice, sound research, and electronic composition, the work investigates the acoustic properties of the deep ocean and pelagic environment through the transformation of scientific field material into structured sound compositions.

Hydrophone data, environmental noise, biological activity, and geophysical signals are processed using spectral analysis, morphing, and synthesis techniques.

"Deep Sea" is an electroacoustic work focused on the acoustic properties of the deep ocean and pelagic environment. The album is based on hydroacoustic recordings derived from underwater monitoring archives, including long-term hydrophone recordings collected for scientific observation of oceanic systems by NOOA. These materials constitute the core source of the compositional process.

The recorded signals are treated as sound data and subjected to processes of spectral analysis, transformation, morphing, and synthesis. Biological, geophysical, and environmental components are integrated within a structured electroacoustic framework. Low-frequency pressure waves, marine organism vocalizations, seismic activity, and ambient underwater noise form a continuous acoustic field shaped by depth, temperature gradients, and water mass stratification.

At the intersection of field recording practice, sound research, and electronic composition, the album examines the ocean as a physical and acoustic system. Sound propagation, absorption, and resonance under extreme pressure conditions, as well as temporal dilation and reduced dynamic variation, reflect the environmental constraints of the deep-sea soundscape.
