"Septic" was the second full length vinyl release from Himukalt, following 2018's "Knife Through The Spine" (CD version via Cold Spring), and was originally release on a limited LP by Malignant Records in 2020.

The Himukalt aesthetic is immediately recognizable; deadening rhythmic pulsations, bristling oscillations, and a steady stream of crackling and frying circuitry, often infused with layers of filth, hostility, and sexuality. Primitive, old school industrial, with an obsessive, post-mortem feel. A unique and challenging take on heavy electronics for fans of Puce Mary, She Spread Sorrow, Atrax Morgue.

Himukalt was born from the obsession, addiction, and the impure thoughts of American noise artist Ester Kärkkäinen. Her impulse for self-destruction, co-mingles with self-discovery, as she confesses broken tales about sex work, manic-depression, social anxiety, dysphoria and psychic parasites. She swaddles those appropriations from her life and those around her in the aestheticized violence of power electronics and a death industrial negativity, similar to that of Lille Roger, or Atrax Morgue.

This CD reissue includes 2 exclusive bonus tracks plus some minor changes on a couple of other tracks, plus a complete remastering by Grant Richardson (Gnawed). Ltd x 300 copies in a 6-panel digipak with 12-page booklet.
