"Industry Standard" is an industrial ambient record built from sound gathered during undercover investigations into animal industries. Rooted in experimental and musique concrète practices, the album reworks covert field recordings into dark, immersive compositions. Sounds from hidden places are shaped, layered and transformed, forming a stark industrial soundwork that refuses to look away.

What you are about to hear is the result of four decades of exploring some of the darkest and most disturbing places on earth, documenting an industrial death machine. These are the sounds of factory farms, fur farms, animal testing labs, slaughterhouses, and live animal markets, gathered during undercover work exposing cruelty across the globe - where mechanised systems have become the norm: an accepted standard. The sounds of the death machine have been processed and sculpted: a sheep's skittering hooves across a metal floor become a rhythmic shake; the hum of a fan system in a pig farm becomes a layered drone for a meditation; the incidental sound of a radio in a rabbit farm lends a classical, Clockwork touch. These tracks explore an entire world you were never meant to see - nor hear.

As founder of Tracks Investigations, he has exposed hidden abuses in over 50 countries, confronting the industries that exploit animals for food, fashion, research, and entertainment. Gnostic Front is an experimental musician, filmmaker, activist, and former animal industry investigator. Since 2009, GF has been putting out records, touring, composing soundtracks, doing sound installations, and more, primarily under the name Garbageface.
