The latest solo album by Kevin Tomkins, member of Sutcliffe No More, Patient K, Bodychoke (ex-Sutcliffe Jugend, ex-Whitehouse etc).

On this DCD he explores the realms of drone / ambient music to sonically illustrate the state of insomnia. Each of the compositions featured here was recorded during late-night sessions, set between 12:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. On the one hand, we are dealing with material that could serve as a form of therapy for the recorder, but also as a musical documentation of his struggles and attempts to find balance and peace. It reflects, as if through a lens, a variety of emotional, mental, and physical states, painted with successive sounds, their frequencies, and timbres.

By listening carefully to this rather peculiar, unconventional, and at times quite surprising musical drama, we can experience a whole range of emotions that accompany the nearly two-hour session, consisting of 11 separate sessions, which here take the form of longer compositions, filling two CDs.
