Gary Mundy (Ramleh / Broken Flag boss) pushes Kleistwahr into especially hostile territory on "Channel Some Angst".
Opener 'Cold Blood Cold Night' throws manic drums, post-punk guitar, white noise and despairing vocals into a furious collision. Elsewhere, 'A Drowning' offers a more mournful turn, while 'Fear Of A Fucked Up Future' brings the project's familiar groaning organs back into view.
Feedback, ravaged electronics and abstract noise pile up throughout, reflecting anxiety, mortality and a world seemingly coming apart. Even the grimly titled 'Chemtrails Of Hope' provides only brief respite from one of Kleistwahr's most merciless records. Bathe in this uncompromising wash of feedback, ravaged electronics, serrated guitars, organ grind and resigned vocals. Mastered by Sion Orgon.
Ltd x 300 copies in a gatefold mini-LP style sleeve, based on the Broken Flag design featuring paintings by Michael Boul.
