"Burial Practices" is the debut release from UK Industrial Noise / Power Electronics duo Bootlicker. 30 minutes of buzzing, droning oscillators; choking; bass pressure; juddering feedback; metal percussion; unidentified mechanical static; Hamburgerisms; digital ebb and flow. We're all trapped in the abyss - capitalism has made the world an ossuary. The landscape is haunted by ancestral modes of living that have lost meaning in the post-penicillin world. Bootlicker is George Rayner Law and Dominic O'Donoghue (Elk Blood). Nicely presented on transparent artwork with 2 inserts.

DELIA DERBYSHIRE - 'The Dreams' LP (Fantôme Phonographique) - £27

We can't recommend this highly enough! Delia Derbyshire is one of the most innovative electronic musicians of the 20th Century. She is best known for her pioneering work for the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, and for composing the classic theme song for the original Doctor Who, believed to be the earliest "electronic" theme song in television history. A brilliant composer and one of the few women operating in the early era of electronic music, In the early '60s she collaborated with the British artist and playwright Barry Bermange for the BBC's Third Programme to produce four Inventions for Radio, a collage of people describing their dreams, set to a background of electronic sound. This is the first, simply titled "Dreams", an attempt to represent, in sound, the sensation of dreaming. Derbyshire's electronic and musique concrete soundbed is the perfect underscore to the narration, simultaneously jarring, dissonant, and terrifying. An amazing piece of work from one of the legendary pioneers of electronic music. Ltd x 500 copies on 180g purple vinyl. ACT FAST!
GHÉDALIA TAZARTÈS - 'Quoi Qu'il En Soit' Book + CD (Bisou) - £18

One of the final works of Ghédalia Tazartès, who sadly passed away in February 2021. Isabelle Magnon asked Tazartès to take pictures of his Paris apartment - a veritable "Cabinet de curiosité". This book shows 40 pictures of Tazartès' objects and small installations, with a foreword by Dominique Abensour. The accompanying CD features "La Chute de l'Ange" - the only performance of the trio formed by Ghédalia Tazartès (voice, tibetan bowl, bells), Jérôme Lorichon (member of Zombie Zombie, Berg Sans Nipple, on Buchla synth, effects, trumpet) and Quentin Rollet (member of Nurse With Wound, Mendelson, Pointe du Lac, Red Krayola, on alto and sopranino saxophones), recorded in Eglise Saint-Merry, Paris, in 2019. Ltd x 300 copies with 48-page perfect-bound A5 book, featuring 40 full-colour photographs.
KORINE - 'The Night We Raise' CD (Other Voices Records / Born Losers Records) - £13

Korine is a Philadelphia-based electronic pop duo comprised of members Morgy Ramone and Trey Frye. The pair blend new wave nostalgia with a modern pop sensibility, contrasting upbeat rhythms against sullen, emotionally evocative lyrics. Following a self-released EP in 2017, Korine debuted their first full-length record "New Arrangements" in 2018 on Born Losers Records, launching multiple nationwide tours and two sold out vinyl pressings. Following this release were two acclaimed singles 'Uncrossed' and 'To You', marking a stylistic evolution for the band - a departure from the familiar 80's era influence to incorporate a more contemporary pop awareness. "The Night We Raise" shows the band growing even further into their own, both the songwriting and musicality more assured than ever. "Shimmering Synthpop with its heart on its sleeve" (Pop Mattes). For fans of The Cure, New Order, Lust For Youth, Drab Majesty, Boy Harsher. Ltd x 300 copies in a digipak.
LEIDUNGR (ARDITI) - 'Gryning Flammar' CD (SkullLine) - £14

Leidungr is the Nordic Ritual Folk project of H. Möller (Arditi / Puissance) and P. Ståhl. Crafted by weaving ritual elements into traditional folk, Leidungr's mesmerizing work is also imbued with an indelible martial aura which reinforces the underlying heroic mood summoned on these recordings. The potent and evocative combination, which spreads across various genres, often re-creating their common formats, allows Leidungr to carve their unique brand of Nordic Ritual Folk - a term which perfectly defines the genuine atmosphere of this work, now finally available. Artwork by Swedish artist H.W. and German Sascha P., made from Nordic history of Odin's Son Thor. Ltd x 300 copies in a hand-numbered digipak with booklet.
MAURIZIO BIANCHI - 'Lastfirst' CD (St.An.Da / Silentes) - £12

"Lastfirst" is the brand new project by Maurizio Bianchi. The work is based on a reworking of his 1999 album entitled "First Day Last Day". The original work has been totally reprocessed and reworked into a darker version that reflects even more the dark times we are living in. A symphony that digs deep into our souls and lays bare all our fears. Together with "Dead Colours" (2003), "Lastfirst" represents one of the most intense and profound moments in M.B.'s discography. Mixed by Pharmakustik. Ltd x 200 copies in a 6-panel digisleeve with photography by Bianchi.
MAUTHAUSEN ORCHESTRA - 'Private Thoughts Recordings' CD (St.An.Da / Silentes) - £12

Nine years after the death of Pierpaolo Zoppo, an unforgettable artist and a forerunner of Industrial Music with his cult Mauthausen Orchestra project, this new CD of completely unreleased material (containing tracks he composed between 2009-2012) is finally realised. The album shows us Pierpaolo Zoppo at the peak of his artistic maturity. After investigating the most extreme and intransigent sounds for years with impetus, he finds a moment of reflection and some quietness, without completely abandoning its original instinctive and 'wild' nature. He knocks corners and softens forms, giving us ten tracks of music / non-music as strong as ever, but at the same time touching and poetic as never before. "Private Thoughts Recordings" (the title taken from hand-written notes by Pierpaolo on the original recordings) is perhaps the best gift that the artist could have left us before departing for his long journey, and the most intense proof of his deep sensitivity and his incredible avant-garde sound visions. A final chapter not to be missed. Ltd x 200 copies in a 6-panel digisleeve with visuals by Stefano Gentile.
MELEK-THA - 'Triumph Of Death' 2 x CD (Abhorrent Creation Tapes) - £14.50

The brand new album from French legend Melek Tha (aka "Lord Evil" / Ludo Lejeune). A double album featuring 2 hours of occult / black industrial / symphonic music. "...a black mass dedicated to Satan. Deep, possessed, freezing, incomparable!". Features guests: Lamia Culta, Deacon D., Karis, and Nicolas Horváth. Ltd x 500 copies.
NO NEW DAWN - 'Double Dream' CD (Other Voices Records) - £13

No New Dawn is a manifestation of creative force informed by the perspectives and understanding gained through the path to void consciousness by J. Czarn. No New Dawn is a post-industrial minimal synth project with a Black Metal background based in Detroit by J. Czarn. No New Dawn's illumination of modern bleakness and struggle contrasted with intervals of meditative and reflective clarity provide a fitting backdrop to the cold soundscape captured on this album. The project's music uses a mix of analogue, midi, sampling and live recording methods to achieve an often cavernous electronic and vocal sound. "Double Dream" also exhibits a shift in focus throughout the album from conventional song structures to loose and ambient instrumental compositions. J. Czarn is a multi-instrumentalist and artist affiliated with the One void art collective. A must for fans of early 80's synth scene (Gary Numan, The Human League, Clock DVA, John Foxx or Second Decay), Cold Cave, early Lust For Youth, November Növelet, late Haus Arafna, Martial Canterel. Ltd x 200 copies in a digipak.
OPYCHAM - 'Kudesa' CD (Sketis Music) - £11.50

"Kudesa" completes the cycle of 4 albums of the project Opycham, invented and recorded by the drummer of Tuvan group Yat-Kha Yugeny Tkachev. The name Opycham actually hides the name of the author, received from Tuvan shamans - Orus Ham, which means "Russian shaman". The album's title also has deep mystical roots. "Kudesa" is a term from far pre-Christian times, when sorcerers and magicians (ancient Russian pagan priests) performed their magical rites, invoking Spirits and asking them about a peaceful life for peasants. As in many other pagan rites, one of the inalienable attributes was the shamanic drum, which the ancient Slavs also called Kudes. The audio sketches for the album were recording on the snow-capped winter Altai Mountains, in the Yurt Camp "Tydtuyaryk", with famous Altai musician Bolot Bairyshev, as well as with other inhabitants of the camp. The album was completed a a year later, with sound producer Alexei Denisov at KM Studio. As well as those initial sounds of nature, and throat singing, Kudesa features a rich assortment of traditional instruments including buben, harangue, quiglis, ukelele, and vargan, Digipak.
PAUL BEAUCHAMP - 'Needs Must When The Devil Drives' CD (St.An.Da / Silentes) - £12

After two critically-acclaimed albums for Boring Machines, Paul Beauchamp (Almagest!, Blind Cave Salamander, Sikhara) has taken a new direction with his third album, "Needs Must When The Devil Drives". With this work (a single track comprising several movements), Beauchamp has moved away from the use of acoustic instruments as sound sources and has instead followed the mantra of Brian Eno of "the recording studio is an instrument in itself". Included in this new direction of using solely synthesized and sampled sounds sources, Beauchamp has also begun to explore new territory by using elementary beats and percussion while still remaining connected to his minimal roots through his dedication to drones and ambient. "Needs Must When The Devil Drives" marks a turning point in Beauchamp's solo career as a natural evolution in his unique approach to research and sound design as a creative tool. Mastered by James Plotkin. Ltd x 200 copies in a gatefold digisleeve with photography by Stefano Gentile.
RICHARD B. LEWIS - 'Introspect' CD (St.An.Da / Silentes) - £12

Italian guitarist Richard B. Lewis (Black Dolls, Anarcotici, In my June) continues his personal quest for folk and psychedelic rock, exploring new sound zones with "Introspect". With this new work he desires to take experimental sounds to the extreme and lead the listener on an introspective path, in the most hidden places of their minds. Noise-driven dark ambient with a strong depth and a deep dive into the experimental field, which is clearly different from the previous works. Ltd x 200 copies in a gatefold digisleeve with photography by Stefano Gentile.
UNITED BIBLE STUDIES - 'Divining Movements' 2 x CD (Pariah Child / Yoshiwara Collective) - £13.50

For this album, United Bible Studies was the quartet of David Colohan, Alison O'Donnell (The Owl Service), Dominic Cooper (The Owl Service, The Straw Bear Band), and Matt Leivers. "Divining Movements" is part of a trilogy which started with the "Cave Hill Ascension" LP. "Divining Movements" is firmly within the more meditative vein of the longer "Cave Hill Ascension" pieces. Divining movements are a way of accessing the numinous. The album is a literal movement through and a meditation on landscapes and starscapes, exploring them in four musical movements and divinations... Gentle, ethereal and haunting, this is an evocation both external and interior. A cyclical journey without a definite beginning and end. Presented in a 6-panel digisleeve.
VINEGAR TOM - 'The Pattern Under The Plough' Cassette (Brachliegen Tapes) - £4.75

A harsh drone cassette featuring two longform noise pieces that take as their point of departure the husks which linger on in data, haunted. A mediation on loss, grief and spectrality, the work attempts to exhume the buried sound which lives on in images of remembrance, through databending and heavy processing. The resulting dirges invite forth the voice of the phantom which scratches at the digital realm, congealed in the groan of a time that moves on without them. Swamps of harsh digital noise cascade into thick layers of tape delay and reverb, before clattering into an abyss, somewhere between the void, the astral plane and Weld Road. Missing something vital - a dream of dust, realised. Orange cassette.
VUKOVAR - 'The Colossalist' CD (Other Voices Records) - £13

For the late Simon Morris (Ceramic Hobs, Smell & Quim); His Name Means First And Last. Following the death of one of Theirselves, various failures and ever deepening reliances, Vukovar have finally emerged once more. With the disintegration of the old group, a new, stable line up - the NeuPopAct - have collided and colluded to here present "The Colossalist". Their 8th album, and part one of the Eternity Ends Here triptych, is the most ambitious thing attempted by the group and the most wrapped in turmoil. This is the first CD in a planned series of releases in collaboration with world renowned artist Andrzej Klimowski. Vukovar formed in a crumbling placefiller of a town in 2014. They were always dying and reorganized after ceasing to exist in 2019. Effete artists pretending to be northern hardcases pretending to be uniform fetishists in iconoclast drag. "Do not trust us; we are fragile stars". Features Simon Morris taken from various interviews and archive material. "One part industrial, one part post-punk synthplay, and equal parts turmoil and fear" (Rats On The Run). Ltd x 200 copies in a digipak.

THIRDORGAN - 'Thirdorgan' CD (Abhorrent Creation Tapes) - £11.50

Brand new album from cult Japanoise act thirdorgan (aka Alienation label boss Akihiro Shimizu). "Thirdorgan has remained one of the most elusive yet constant figures in Japan's acclaimed noise and industrial movement. Despite having worked with nearly every cult label of the '90s cassette scene, Thirdorgan has scarcely been presented on vinyl and CD... challenging long form relentless feedback paths and synthesizer psycho erotic gain staging. Momentous appearances on classic labels such as Skin Crime's inimitable Self Abuse records, Harbinger Sound, and yet another on the influential "Japanese American Noise Treaty" edifice on Release Entertainment. Thirdorgan's base of synthesizer noise cemented him with a deeper connection to the European noise scene ahead of many of his peers. The emphasis on wild and insane analogue synth cacophony sets him apart from the more traditional Japanese noise palate" (Dominick Fernow). 6 tracks spanning an hour. Ltd x 350 copies with ultra-minimal artwork.

VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'F/Ear This!' 2 x CD (Silentes) - £18

"F/Ear This!" was originally a double album (LP / cassette editions) released in 1987 by PEACE, a completely informal gathering of ziners, activists, musical groups and small Italian record labels. The idea for the title was born from Vittore Baroni, who also assembled a 28-page A4 booklet using some of the graphic art sent to him by some of the various musicians participating to the compilation, and adding images taken from the Trax archives. All the proceeds were destined to support "A/Rivista Anarchica" anarchist magazine. The idea behind "F/Ear This!", featuring friends musicians, graphic artists and poets scattered all around the planet, was the common theme of "fear". "Fear was something we all lived and shared, like being poisoned and [fed] black bread on a daily basis: let's do something then, let's protest, let's turn the volume up. We tried to spread the news and rally, to pass the word and share the sense of alarm". The work has been digitally reproduced, respecting its integrity as much as possible. The audio has been restored from the original reels and cassettes, and some tracks which were originally left out have been added.

CONTROLLED DEATH (MASONNA) / MAYUKO HINO - 'Split' Picture Disc LP (CSR291P) £18

OUT 26th MARCH

 Soundcloud  Soundcloud  YouTube
Two giants of the Japanese Noise scene present exclusive material on a special limited vinyl release.

Controlled Death is the nom de plume of Maso Yamazaki (MASONNA), who unleashed his claustrophobic Death Industrial / Blackened Electronics debut for Cold Spring last autumn (the sold out split LP with Rudolf Eb.er). "Devil's Sacrifice" (in 6 parts) continues Maso's obsession with heavy, Korg MS-20 drones. Deranged vocals choked under impenetrable, blood-soaked atmospheres of doom, death and decay, saturated with washes of anxiety, paranoia and alienation.

Mayuko Hino, 'Queen Of Japanese Noise', delivers two lengthy tracks. While the first track is filled with feverish, dense noise and swathes of savage electronics, the second, mind-melting electronic piece (reminiscent of her debut album 'Lunisolar' for Cold Spring) descends into a diseased, suffocating maelstrom, finishing on the verge of psychosis. In addition to self-made instruments, Mayuko plays noise with her six-theremin oscillators (in bright pink) - the one and only in the world, specially made by Ryo Araishi (a.k.a. ichion). Mayuko is most well-known for forming C.C.C.C. (Cosmic Coincidence Control Center) in 1990, together with Hiroshi Hasegawa, Fumio Kosakai and Ryuichi Nagakubo.

Picture disc LP. Ltd x 400 copies in a heavy PVC archive sleeve.
HIMUKALT - 'Knife Through The Spine' CD (CSR289CD) £11

OUT NOW!

 Soundcloud  Soundcloud  YouTube
Primitive, old school industrial, with an obsessive, post-mortem feel. This is the first CD edition of Himukalt's cult 2018 LP (originally released on Malignant Records), remastered and including bonus material from the same recording sessions.

"There's something uniquely old school and primitive at work here, capturing the claustrophobic, unsettled and fragmented sound of early Illusion of Safety or mid-late '80s industrial on a whole, contemporising it, and filling it in with an obsessive, post-mortem feel. Knife Through The Spine delivers a steady cascade of abstract sounds, festering with grinding pneumatic throb, coarse frequency blasts and sputtering electronic oscillations, with spliced snippets of processed, flanged vocals and a general sense of social anxiety and disaffection. A unique and challenging take on heavy electronics for fans of Puce Mary, She Spread Sorrow, Atrax Morgue".

Himukalt is the Nevada-based project of the enigmatic Ester Kärkkäinen. Presented in a 6-panel digipak.
FM EINHEIT (Einstürzende Neubauten) - 'Exhibition Of A Dream' 2 x CD (CSR292CD) £15

OUT NOW!

 Soundcloud  Soundcloud
Twelve dreams of musicians, artists, and filmmakers, interpreted by FM Einheit (ex-EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN), with voices by: Lee Ranaldo (SONIC YOUTH), Genesis Breyer P-Orridge (PSYCHIC TV / THROBBING GRISTLE), Susan Stenger (BAND OF SUSANS), Émilie Pitoiset, Erika Stucky, and the Gulbenkian Choir; with guest musicians: Volker Kamp, Saskia von Klitzing, Robert Poss, and Susan Stenger.

Exhibition Of A Dream (L'exposition D'un Rêve) is formed of twelve dreams interpreted as songs. Exploded in time, these are played as temporary and evolving patterns of shapes and forms in an otherwise empty gallery following the drawings of mandalas. Exhibition Of A Dream highlights the complex beauty of how to generate a dream in the mind of the spectator. A shared experience to be lived within our own personal inner space, these remastered dreams are an invitation to listen to a sensitive architecture of words and music.

Created 2017, recorded both in public and in private in the amphitheatres and the garden of the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian in Lisbon, and in Einheit's own studio Steinschlag. The dreamers were: Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Lee Ranaldo, Émilie Pitoiset, Susan Stenger, Susie Green, David Link, Pierre Paulin, Alexandre Estrela, Tim Etchells, Gabriel Abrantes, FM Einheit, and Genesis Breyer P-Orridge.

NYTT LAND - 'Fimbulvinter' CD (CSR234CD) £11

OUT NOW!

 Soundcloud  Soundcloud
Second edition of Nytt Land's 2017 album, which quickly sold out on first pressing.

Notably outstanding on the Russian scene and largely compared with the legendary Wardruna, NYTT LAND are unique in their devotion to ritual Northern music and tradition. Their approach, using genuine native hand-crafted instruments, and true Old Norse, help them to grasp the true spirit of ancient Northern music like no one in Eastern Europe has done before. Their music is mostly based on the sources from Poetic Edda, performed in original Old Islandic.

"Fimbulvinter" is enriched with instruments like bagpipes and trembita (Alpine horn), and throat singing skillfully used to illustrate the occurrence of the forces of chaos; chthonic monsters in the world of men and gods. Fear and powerlessness alongside belief in the coming revival, renewal. All Scandinavian mythology is permeated with fatalism, humbleness to fate. The same mood saturates "Fimbulvinter". The first part is dedicated to the creation of the world and people, embodying the warm seasons. The second half to winter, the death of all living things. 6-panel digipak featuring all lyrics.
JAGATH - 'Devalaya' CD (CSR290CD) £11

OUT NOW!

 Soundcloud  Soundcloud  YouTube
Jagath is a ritual/industrial ambient act from Perm, Russia.

We create our music at abandoned industrial locations - the bottom of a moist underground sewer shaft and inside huge hollow oil tanks - without using digital synthesis. We use simple, mostly hand-crafted instruments, found objects and our voices. We do this to share our vision of decaying post-industrial age, to unleash the spirit of deep beyond-world and unveil life in the abyss.

"Devalaya" ("Temple") was recorded in vast oil tanks from 2015 to 2018. 6-panel glossy digipak with photography by Gregory Skvortsov and Dmitriy Frolov.

'I REMEMBER YOU' (ÓSKAR THÓR AXELSSON) Original Motion Picture Soundtrack CD (CSR287CD) £10.50

OUT NOW!

 Soundcloud  Soundcloud  YouTube
We are extremely proud to release the official soundtrack to the cult Icelandic horror film 'I REMEMBER YOU' (Is: "Ég man þig"). Heavy dark ambient / industrial / orchestral soundscapes composed by Frank Hall, with a beautiful, solemn, folkloristic finale featuring Icelandic choirs. A must for fans of Graeme Revell, Steven Price, Lustmord, MZ.412. Digipak.

The soundtrack was created at the old industrial area of Grandi in Reykjavík, at a studio due to be 'gentrified' and forcefully emptied of the artists. "I was alone in this large building in this deserted area, working late hours, making music for a horror movie. It was during winter... wind blowing, darkness. There were some tense moments...".

"As soon as I read the script I heard low brass in my head and that kind of stuck. We used a lot of brass instruments, filtered and processed throughout. I also ended up using a lot of bowed guitar, sometimes doubling the brass, sometimes more like a sound effect". Hall also used analogue synths on the special climactic track "Montage".

On the finale, Hall reminisces: "Móðir mín í kví kví (My Mother In The Sheep Pen) is an old Icelandic folk song. The lyrics are based on Icelandic folklore about a woman who had a baby which she couldn't afford to have and left it outside to die, wrapped in a rag. The infant then becomes what we Icelandic call "Útburður" - the ghost of a child who has been left out to die. Some time later the woman wants to go to a dance but has no pretty clothes to wear. She is in the sheep pen attending to the sheep when she hears this whispering outside: "My mother in the sheep pen, don't you worry because I'll lend you my rag, my rag to dance in". It's a rather ominous lyric and this song is sometimes sung for Icelandic babies as a lullaby... a little odd custom perhaps. I remember my mother singing this to me. This is one of my favourite Icelandic folk songs, and when I created the music for "I Remember You", which is about a lost child that haunts people, I suggested to director Óskar Thór Axelsson that I should make an Icelandic choir version of it and use it as a theme / credit song. He loved the idea".

'I Remember You' is based on the internationally acclaimed novel by Yrsa Sigurðardóttir, the "Queen of Icelandic Crime".

A posthumous collaboration between the late Phil Western (DOWNLOAD, BEEHATCH), Jesse Creed (THE PASSENGER) and Mark Spybey (DOWNLOAD, DEAD VOICES ON AIR, REFORMED FACTION, BEEHATCH). Both Phil and Jesse shared a love for vintage analogue synthesizers such as the VCS3, and the music for "W ands" was largely created using this equipment. In the spirit of how it was created, Spybey added improvised passages using his collection of homemade and ethnic instruments and then edited the pieces.

Phil would often talk about being 'taken away' by music. Both Jesse and Mark have laboured to do this through their own music too, not as a means of escape but to transcend. This music strives to explore the desire to go beyond the ordinary everyday experience and to reach a place where the egos and the individual contributions of the players are largely inconsequential. A place where time doesn't really matter. A place of healing and invention.

An album of expansive drones and analogue electronics, which will undofubtedly appeal to fans of Coil, Nurse With Wound, Zoviet France. Digipak.

LLYN Y CWN 'Dinorwic' CD (CSR286CD) £11

Llyn Y Cwn conveys atmosphere and environment through deep ambient sounds. The sound of nature re-establishing itself in the post-industrial wilderness of a former quarry. A phantasm of echoes reflecting the bleak majesty and poetic melancholy of the hinterland of North Wales. A hole within a void, a place defined by absence in a world of negative space.

The backdrop for this cavernous soundtrack is Dinorwic slate quarry. The field recordings were taken in this vast subterranean environment where an exposed scar of rock is carved out of the mountainside on the western slope of Elidir Fawr in Snowdonia, North Wales.

Standing alone in the quarry, which covers 700 acres up to a height of 600m, it isn't difficult to imagine work going on around you with the abandoned industrial landscape juxtaposed against the backdrop of the majestic Snowdonia skyline.

Each track is named after an area of the quarry, descending ever deeper through each rock gallery, with their acoustically unique echoes and sounds. The landscape is in a state of constant flux with small avalanches of rock and spoil slate tumbling over itself - it was such a landslide that led to the eventual demise of the quarry. The hydroelectric power station, built deep underground inside the mountain, can be heard rumbling away through the various air shafts dotted around the quarry, adding to the overall ominous feel of the pieces.

File next to fellow Welshman Lustmord.

Presented in a 6-panel digipak with breathtaking photography by the artist.

LA BREICHE ("the witch") features YAN AREXIS (Stille Volk / Sus Scrofa / Common Eider, King Eider / Coume Ouarnède), and PATRICK LAFFORGUE (Stille Volk / Sus Scrofa / Hantaoma). The two musicians are also the creators of the cult festival L'Homme Sauvage, held in Midi-Pyrenees each year.

After their 2017 debut "Le Mal des Ardents" (Cold Spring), "Le Rite" opens a new door, with post-folk sounds close to post-rock, influenced by ancient music, with folk used in a modernist way. Dark, ambient and yet mystical... deep with grandiose landscapes.

The sound of La Breiche is situated at the crossroads of early music and dark ambient; ambient music, industrial music with a strong ritual dimension. Their electro-acoustic is music based on old instruments such as the hurdy-gurdy, mixed with analogue synths, field recordings, and ritual objects, taking a mystified look at nature, archaic societies, rites, beliefs and lores, animism.

Presented in a stunning 6-panel digipak with artwork by Dehn Sora.
