These recordings ov a live disconcert by Psychic TV in Reykjavik, Iceland that took place November 1983 organised by HÖH and GRAMM Records, to whom, eternal and infernal thanks all ways.

LULL - 'That Space Somewhere' CD £11 MASCHINENZIMMER 412 (MZ. 412) - 'Malfeitor' CD £11 GENESIS P-ORRIDGE & DAVE BALL - 'Imagining October' (Derek Jarman) O.S.T. 12" Etched £21
The first new album in 14 years from LULL - the pioneering, isolationist dark ambient project of MICK HARRIS (SCORN, FRET, ex-NAPALM DEATH).

"I finally heard the way of recording, making profound sounds. Lull is purely something I can get lost in, as far as trying to create these imaginary spaces.
LULL is quite natural for me. It's an extension of me. Drifting. Just going to darkness. Into a space. LULL is drifting and droning, discovering more and more what can be done with sound. These soundscapes hugely appeal to me".

CD in a matt digipak with majestic artwork by Abby Helasdottir (Gydja).

A history lesson, recorded in autumn 1989. Unavailable for over 20 years in any format, "Malfeitor" is the classic album from Swedish Black Industrial act Maschinenzimmer 412.

This is evil incarnate, staring into the abyss. With a more lyrical approach than the predecessor "Macht Durch Stimme", "Malfeitor" explores themes of death, with an unequivocal dystopian outlook.

Cavernous heavy industrial, primitive machine rhythms, and cold metallic loops created on old synths with very little post-production. Originally released on LP in 1989 (CMI) this monumental album is now available for the first time since 2001. Also available on digital for the first time ever!

Mastered from the original 4-track tapes.
Matt-laminate digipak with new artwork.

The first ever release of the soundtrack to the rarely-seen DEREK JARMAN 1984 short film "Imagining October", with music recorded by Derek's friend and collaborator Genesis P-Orridge (PSYCHIC TV / THROBBING GRISTLE), and Dave Ball (SOFT CELL / THE GRID). Recorded at DJM recording studios in Theobalds Road, London.

Jarman considered it one of the best, if not the best, of his shorter works. It was intended as an agit-prop work and the combination of music and imagery remains powerful to this day.

Limited Edition 12" vinyl featuring a beautiful etched B-Side. Features liner notes by James Mackay (Jarman's producer, collaborator and archivist).

KOLLAPS - 'Until The Day I Die' CD - £11
DEAD VOICES ON AIR - 'Abrader Redux' CD - £11 JAGATH - 'Svapna' CD - £11
The third album from the Australian post-industrial outfit is a merciless and visceral assault on the senses. An uncompromising force of harsh post-industrial music created with a wide variety of metals, raw materials, metal grates, a rusted hoist, cement cylinders, field recordings, hammering of various decrepit objects, broken amplifiers, various synthesizers, and the infamous metal coil. Much of the creation and lyrical conceptualisation of the record has been stylised and presented using William S. Burroughs' cut-up method.

Mastering: James Plotkin. Art: Nullvoid (T. Ekelund | Trepaneringsritualen).
CD in 6-panel digipak || LP in reverse board sleeve and printed inner lyric sleeve.

The hugely sought-after debut album from DEAD VOICES ON AIR (Mark Spybey of DOWNLOAD / ex-ZOVIET FRANCE, REFORMED FACTION), featuring cEvin Key (SKINNY PUPPY / DOWNLOAD).

"Abrader" blends processed sounds from primitive instruments and found objects into hypnotic loped rhythmic structures, with dark clusters of heavy ambient washes into Organic Panambience, or 'music for the eyes'.

Features previously-unreleased bonus tracks recorded 1994 - taking this masterwork up to 7 tracks and over 67 minutes of exceptional music. Matt-laminate digipak with art by Spybey.

The brand new album from the ritual / industrial / dark ambient act who create music at abandoned industrial locations.

"A portal to another world is located inside an abandoned Soviet-era swamp drain near a residential building in the Zakamsk suburb of Perm, Russia, 58.0122, 55.9623. A ritual was performed here, so now we are living in an inside-out world. This is one of the last recordings inside our Temple - the oil tanks are finally scrapped. Dedicated to the victims of totalitarian regimes".

A vision of a decaying post-industrial age. For fans of: Raison D'etre, Shibalba, Phurpa. 6-panel digipak.

ADRIANO VINCENTI & PAOLO BANDERA - 'Ossido Di Cromo (Anamnesi Mediatica Ricostruttiva)' CD (Steinklang) - £12.50

Adriano Vincenti (Macelleria Mobile Di Mezzanotte, Cronaca Nera, Pain Injection) and Paolo Bandera (Sigillum S, Iugula-Thor) present a tribute to that mighty tape format. A homage that unites a more modern medium and technology with the traditional methodology and technology of cassette tapes. In the truest traditions of the industrial underground, the album borrows, cannibalises and adapts material from others (for example Maurizio Bianchi and Metadrive) to create experimental sounds all their own. The history of the industrial underground is heavily present in the source material: the oldest recordings are from the mid-80's. The result is an album of experimental, challenging and adventurous industrial electronics; a throwback to an era before industrial electronics had fragmented to dozens of smaller niches. Experimental underground electronics as its purest and finest. "Chromium Bi-Oxide, a lavish taste of exciting particles: from your ears to your eyes to your mouth to your skin". Ltd x 150 hand-numbered copies in a 6-panel glossy digipak with 24-page booklet.
CIRCLE OF SH*T - 'Almost There Now' CD (Aussaat) - £12

Historical revisionism: Finnish noise / experimental / industrial / new musick act formed in 2011. Side with the heartbeat to the industrial rot. "Circle Of Sh*t uses his telephone to capture field recordings, giving them a spin through a crackly guitar amplifier, splicing them with Audacity. The result is rusty, dirty, shouty noise, but not with that moment of quiet unrest... metallic objects tossed around; it has that direct, in-your-face approach, and somehow it doesn't feel too noisy... I thoroughly enjoyed this release... a homage to the classics; a bit of Whitehouse, Ramleh, Con-Dom or even early Neubauten. There is much more thought in this music than is, perhaps, apparent on the surface" (Vital Weekly). Circle Of Sh*t also records as Junta (with Edge Of Decay), and HWN act The Aprils. Ltd x 200 copies. Comes with an 8-page booklet.
COALMINER - 'Beautiful Deterioration' LP (Steinklang) - £22

The debut full-length album of the Industrial duo from Manila, Philippines. Coalminer opens with a song of innocence, reminding of some memory far away and blurred. Soon a crushing scream unveils a world of horror and you are consumed. Scratching machines rip your soul while in each song a voice describes the vilification of your mind. Large bloody fingers scratching deep inside of the filth. Some people just want to see the world in flames; Coalminer is one of those people. Musically it's a mix of a plethora of industrial sub-genres - noise, power electronics, dark ambient and even ritual chanting. Ltd x 100 hand-numbered copies.
DEMONOLOGISTS W/ JUNKO - 'Nure-Onna' CD (Torn Light Records) - £12

Indiana's Demonologists team up with Japan's legendary Junko (Hijokaidan) to explore the haunted shores of northern Japan and the legend of Nure-Onna. A much-feared, violent shape-shifting water serpent spirit in Japanese folklore, Nure-Onna sits on the beach during storms, washing her long hair, devouring sea creatures and luring humans to their demise. Demonologists has forged a dark and bizarre sound which confines you within the walls of a psychological hell. Their collaboration with Japanoise stalwart Junko is no different. Her signature vocal style is maddening, and the onslaught never lets up. With this serving as a guide throughout the passages Demonologists traverse, the entire disc feels as if it could be one long nightmare hallucination. Elements of noise, industrial, and the electronic avant-garde weave in and out for the duration, leaving you stranded in the depths you've been dragged down into. The pairing of these two is a natural horror - there is not even a glimpse of hope in sight. Digipak with download code.
DIVISION S - 'Something To Drink & Smoke' CD (Steinklang) - £11.50

It's almost time to say farewell, but there's always time for one more drink. Italian neo-cabaret act Division S have been offering us something to drink (and smoke) since the early 2000's, but now it's time to say goodbye with "Something To Drink & Smoke", their final album. Imagine a combination of Leonard Cohen, 60's pop music, sleazy Italian crooners, Nick Cave, David Lynch's surrealism and oddly disjointed, hypnotically repetitive nightclub lounge music, all playing while you're so intoxicated you're starting to go blind, sounds and sights around you becoming a blur. This is the feverish, oddly enticing world of Division S: decadent, sinful, weird, enticing. Crooning seductively like a gothic Cohen at one moment, confronting you with absurd soundscapes that make you smile at the next, "Something To Drink & Smoke" is an album of surprises and its own kind of unique, wry charm. Division S's drunk-dreamy soundscapes will appeal to gothic decadents and avant-garde experimentalists to morally corrupt connoisseurs of fine intoxicants. Ltd x 100 hand-numbered copies in a 6-panel glossy digipak.
DREW DANIEL / JOHN WIESE - 'Continuous Hole' LP (Gilgongo Records) - £23

This collaborative album by Drew Daniel (Matmos, The Soft Pink Truth) and John Wiese (Sissy Spacek, Smegma, LHD, ex-Bastard Noise) is the fruit of over 10 years of recordings in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Baltimore. "Continuous Hole" melds improvisation and musique concrète composition into a unique document of labour-intensive rhythm. A finger puzzle of reconciled opposites: lockstep structure and constant flux. Relentlessly variable source material is relegated to precisely timed gated forms and patterns. Without using any sampling or MIDI sequencing, the rhythmic cuts are constructed entirely from volcanic, gnarled abstraction, and eschew typical genre elements. Raw yet precise, this is a album of strong contrasts from two American artists discovering common ground in the joy of frenzied cutting. Our personal favourite is 'Abhorred Shears', which reminds of the cut-up works of COIL's LSD yet remains utterly unique. Mastered by Thomas Dimuzio. The cover photograph was shot by John Wiese in Drew Daniel's office on the campus of Johns Hopkins University where Daniel is a Shakespeare professor. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

ELLI RIEHL - 'Die Kornmuhme' LP SWAMP GREEN (Steinklang) - £24

"Die Kornmuhme" is the slightly revised and extended vinyl version of material presented on a CD split release in 2020 (with Mjøðr Ylgjar). The title is a reference to the Roggenmuhme of old Germanic folklore; a kind of cornfield demon, which could make the fields barren if not properly honoured... but through proper sacrifice could be entreated to provide a bountiful harvest. Steeped in both folklore and old legends, the music is at times eerie and ominous, at times mysterious, but also curiously playful, ranging from oddly disjointed, with psychedelic electric guitar and tribalistic percussion, to dark nature ambience, woodland industrial, slowed down animal noises and gnome ritualism. Die Kornmuhme evokes mental images of folklore and legend; before your minds eye, you can see pastoral fields and vast green seas of forests amidst rolling hills, and hear the weird processions and rites of all the woodland creatures of myth. The horns of the forest folk call to weird rituals in the middle of the endless forest, and mythical creatures become just as tangible as your fellow man. Contains two brand new and exclusive tracks. Ltd x 100 hand-numbered copies on swamp green vinyl. Sold out from the label!
EXCURSE - 'Sitra Ahra' CD (Dying Sun Records) - £11.50

Experimental doom metal from Spain. More than five years after their demo (known as "Veiled"), Excurse returns to unveil the secrets of Aion into the shape of a first full-length album. The album was recorded by multi-instrumentalist M.S. (Arkaik Excruciation, Sudaria, Suspiral, Strangulation) between 2017-2018 over 3 different sessions of chaos invocation. A unique blend of traditional doom metal, drone doom, funeral doom and sludge metal resulting in a dark and haunting audio experience. Ltd x 300 copies in a digipak.
GRIM - 'Magnolia's Dream' CD (Steinklang) - £12

Having released a small body of work in the mid-80's, and returning in the 2010's, Grim (Jun Konagaya of White Hospital, with Tomasada Kuwahara) are a cult name among the pioneers of Japanese noise and power electronics. Rather than simply repeating their signature sound, "Magnolia's Dream" also offers danceable electronica rhythms, organ music and moments of serene ambience with uncompromisingly harsh and brutal barrages of violent noise, torturous feedback and layers of crackling distortion. A multi-faceted album with new atmospheres, new approaches and new elements, which is what fans of Grim expect. "Magnolia's Dream" is a complex album, one that takes the listener from one extreme to the other in the blink of an eye. Where one track can lull the listener into a sense of calm with beautiful, understated melodies, the next will shake them awake with unrelenting harshness and audial violence, or plunge him into deep pits of unease with haunting death industrial soundscapes. But whatever guise each track takes, one thing's clear: it's a master at work here. Ltd x 200 hand-numbered copies in a 6-panel glossy digipak with 12-page booklet.
HIJOKAIDAN - 'The Hijohkaidan Tapes' LP (Alchemy Records / Fantastique) - £24

"The Hijohkaidan Tapes" originally came out in 1986 on Jojo Hiroshige's cult label Alchemy Records. It is not only a historical collection of material from the Japanese Noise innovators, but also pays homage to Hijokaidan's predecessors, with the cover art a homage to Faust's 1973 collage classic "The Faust Tapes". The album includes tracks previously released on cassette, dating back to their incarnation in 1979, with the LP being a retrospective of tracks from 1979-1986. Joining the classic line-up of Jojo, T. Mikawa, Junko and additional vocalist Yuka, are Shintaroh Sugiyama (The Stalin), and the first LP appearance of The Incapacitants, with Mikawa joined by Hanatarash / Boredoms mastermind Yamatsuka Eye. 'Salem's Lot' may be the stand out track here with creepy phased to hell organ and electronics, constant feedback piercing throughout, and blood curdling screams straight from the depths below. The opening track 'Angel Dust' is the first ever recording from Hijokaidan, with a performance so high in volume and destruction that they were immediately banned from using the studio again. One of the best features of this album is the fantastic notes filling out the cover featuring an extensive Discography, as well as a track by track rundown to keep you enticed while Hijokaidan destroys your brain! Includes a photograph postcard of Hijokaidan and a Hijohkaidan Tapes sticker. Ltd x 400 copies on black vinyl.
IN SEARCH OF DEATH - 'II' CD (Steinklang) - £11.50

Recorded in 2001-02, the darkly atmospheric, sonically abrasive music on In Search Of Death's "II" is timeless in the way good, classic, old-school harsh industrial is. An album of pulsating and throbbing dark synths, powerful percussion and electronic distortion, balanced by the occasional passage of bright, harmonious synths - which never entirely manage to wash away the sense of deep unease and lingering dread that permeates the album. Staying on the atmospheric side of harsh industrial music, In Search Of Death's sound combines elements from death industrial, dark ambient and occasional passages of more belligerent, martial atmospheres. Deeply entrenched in the world of vicious old-school industrial electronics, this is certainly music for fans of Brighter Death Now, Sütcliffe Jugend etc. Mastered by Peter Andersson (Raison d’Etre etc.). Ltd x 100 hand-numbered copies in a 6-panel glossy digipak.
JOHN WIESE - 'Escaped Language' LP SINGLE-SIDED (Gilgongo Records) - £15

John Wiese (Sissy Spacek, Smegma, LHD, ex-Bastard Noise) recorded during Ina/GRM's 2016 Présences Électronique Festival in Paris. "Escaped Language" is a concise and calculated piece which slowly evolved in various settings over a number of years. Wiese dissects and reassembles portions of his vocabulary alone. Simultaneously dense and sparse, delicate and abrasive, free and tactical, the resulting recording stands as a substantial document of his approach to sound, 25 years into his prolific tenure. "The piece begins with a short ambient introduction before combining a series of disparate organic sounds, juxtaposing metallic percussive patterns with ominous moans and shuffles that evoke a trip through a desolate sci-fi backwater... a moody, complex sonic environment... the practice of a careful craftsman at work" (Tiny Mix Tapes). Single-Sided LP (19 mins). Includes double-sided insert.

JOHN WIESE - 'Seven Of Wands' 2 x LP (Gilgongo Records) - £30

The much-anticipated expanded vinyl edition of "Seven Of Wands", the highly acclaimed album from John Wiese, originally released by Pan in 2011. "Seven Of Wands" contains a romanticism only hinted at previously. Comprised of pieces from a range of eras and sequenced into a narrative arc, this very unique album has a quality of being beautiful, listenable, immersive, and transportive all at once. It utilizes strategies and techniques of musique concrète and electroacoustic music, while emphasizing the mixing desk as a true instrument. Features source material contributed by Angus Andrew (voice, field recording) and Julian Gross (percussion) of Liars. This new double vinyl set contains a full side of previously unreleased material from the archives, making it essential for aficionados and a perfect introduction to Wiese's solo work. Ltd x 500 copies with artwork by John Wiese and Bill Kouligas.

MOURN - 'Mastema' CD (Steinklang) - £11.50

Mourn is the coming together of Kadaver, Destruktionsanstalt and Ideal Father; three masters of industrial noise and power electronics. "Mastema" is dark, brooding and vicious death industrial and power electronics, with layers of abrasive distortion and sequences of white noise alternating with moments of haunting dark ambience. Speech samples root the album in unsettling territory, laden with imagery of murder, violence and abuse. Mourn metes out both atmosphere and violence in carefully measured portions, making "Mastema" a diverse yet cohesive descent into some very disconcerting places. Mastema is the angel of disaster and the father of all evil, whose name means hatred, hostility, enmity and persecution. He is the father of the Nephilim, who visits plagues and tribulations upon men to test them. Ltd x 100 hand-numbered copies in a 6-panel glossy digipak.
REGARD EXTRÊME - 'Legacy' CD (Steinklang) - £11.50

Since its inception in 1990, Regard Extrême (Fabien Nicault) have left their mark on neofolk / orchestral post-industrial music. "Legacy" consists of tracks originally featured on various releases from 1995-2022, making this is a perfect introduction to the French project. However, for the already-familiar, the tracks have been re-composed and re-orchestrated with great attention to quality and loyalty to the original spirit. It also features two new, previously unreleased tracks, specially composed for this collection. "Legacy" updates old classics with a powerful, clear sound, full of heroic bombast, martial drama and evocative orchestrations. It is equal amounts neoclassical and martial industrial, epic and brooding, bellicose and dramatic. Nuanced and detailed compositions exemplifying the skill and professionalism through which Regard Extrême have earned themselves a cult name. Ltd x 150 hand-numbered copies in a 6-panel glossy digipak.
SISSY SPACEK - 'Blear' CD (Gilgongo Records) - £12

"Blear" explores a dynamic and spacious approach to sound. An entropic vortex of full-room tear-up texture from Sissy Spacek - here the duo of Charlie Mumma (Sewer System, Knelt Rote, Bloody Phoenix, ex-L'Acephale) and John Wiese (Smegma, LHD, ex-Bastard Noise). Originally released in 2018 on LP/CS, this crucial CD reissue brings back into a print a pinnacle of modern, harsh musique concrète - with nearly 15 minutes of bonus material! Ltd x 300 copies in a 6-panel digipak.
SISSY SPACEK - 'BMW' MCD Metalized (Gilgongo Records) - £12

A screeching smash of searing grit and demolished shock from the trio of Phil Blankenship (LHD, The Cherry Point), Charlie Mumma, and John Wiese. BMW stands as a sharp-edged monument in the trio's advancing decay, culled from a session at Blankenship's high-security Bronson studio and utilizing the equipment and environment that fueled sessions by LHD, White Gold, and The Cherry Point. Limited edition, partially metalized 'minimax' CD housed in a 6-panel digipak, featuring a series of detailed collages by Wiese.
SISSY SPACEK - 'Prismatic Parameter' 2 x CD (Gilgongo Records) - £15

Uncompromising large ensemble studio recordings from Los Angeles, 2016 featuring: John Wiese, Charlie Mumma, Bill Nace (Vampire Belt, Body/Head), Martin Escalante, Ted Byrnes, and elders of the Los Angeles Free Music Society: Ace Farren Ford (Smegma), Joe Potts and Rick Potts (Airway, Le Forte Four). Recorded at Seahorse Sound by Samur Khouja. File under harsh noise / musique concrete / experimental. 6-panel double digipak.
SISSY SPACEK / SMEGMA - 'Ballast' LP (Gilgongo Records) - £23

The source material of junk-scrape collage roller coaster "Ballast" features six people making rackets in Portland, with John Wiese then molding and forging them into the maddening, impossibly precise work that it is today. The title refers to a weight on a ship which improves its stability, but it is also a term for an electrical component that regulates electricity so as to not destroy the other components. Its double meaning fits between the cover art and the collage process which is constantly partitioning and interrupting the elements of sound. In the span of a few seconds you'll hear an avant-garde jazz excursion, a harsh noise tape, and a dub record crashing headlong into one another inside Wiese's super collider. Smegma is Ace Farren Ford, Dennis Duck, and Ju Suk Reet Meate (three original members), joined by Rock 'N' Roll Jackie (35 years in the band), John Wiese (approximately 10 years in the band), and a cast of others form their current third phase. For this album Sissy Spacek consists of the above line-up plus Charlie Mumma, a member of the band since 2008. Gatefold jacket. Sold out from the label!

STRANGULATION - 'Strangulation' CD (Dying Sun Records) - £11.50

Strangulation is a Funeral Drone band formed in 2019 by G. (AkoúΦenom) and M.S. (Arkaik Excruciation, Excurse, Sudaria, Suspiral) in order to convey the realms of mass extermination into forms of unique sonic pressure. One epic track of repetitive and dissonant riffing, atavic percussion work, and pure drone passages. Expect nothing but 66 minutes of pure, evil and dissociative Funeral Drone crafted the old way, appealing those who kneel before the ancient lore of bands like Evoken, Thergothon, Abruptum, Skepticism or Loss. Ltd x 300 copies in a digipak.

DUOZERO - 'Esperanto' CD (Small Voices) - £7

"Esperanto" is the multi-lingual voice of technology, a suspension of sounds, a chaos of signs overwhelmed by sonic devices. Sound manipulator Duozero takes atmospheres and sound structures, twisting them into a blasphemous aural ecstasy of concrete music, dub, unconscious field recordings, and machine connections. "A series of strangely abstract, and slightly academic groovescapes, a few super abstract, a couple sort of noisy, but for the most part, darkly hypnotic, lushly textured, sonically dense and layered, strangely sultry and weirdly mysterious. A fantastic surprise, that just might be the perfect late night avant academic chill out disc we've ever heard" (Aquarius). Digipak.
LU - 'B-Interrail' CD (Small Voices) - £7

LU is Italian artist Gianluca Porcu. Deep and wrapping digital soundscapes are dotted with micro-noisy granular material - resonant fields where time and space humble themselves in a single perceptive continuum. Compositions on flute, clarinet, saxophone, piano, and guitar are sampled, then mixed with electronica, female voices, Marcel Duchamp cut-up, and a soft tone touch of glitchy sounds. The result is contemporary leftfield experimentalism, avant post-rock and minimal looped rhythms with a nod to Philip Glass. There is a very sunny Mediterranean feel about this music; though the 5th track is a bit darker... but sometimes it rains in Italy too. 6-panel digipak.
PLASTIC CRIMEWAVE SOUND - 'Painted Shadows' CD (A Silent Place) - £7

On "Painted Shadows", the Chicago group scales back the guitars just a touch in favour of vaguely tribal textures. There's a more cosmically devoted feel than past albums, touching on elongated Kraut-like soundscapes. But the group's trademark kitchen sink take on avant-psych-rock - incorporating everything from Hawkwind space-rock to post-MC5 freakouts to widescreen Neu! aural landscapes - remains firmly in place. 6-panel digisleeve.
SCUM - 'Life Sentence' CD (Aussaat) - £12

"Life Sentence" is the 3rd full-length album with Japanese Noise unit Scum. Nine intense new tracks, one a collaboration with Unsustainable Social Condition, another with Government Alpha. Active since 2010, Sou Inomoto presents very full-bodied and extraordinarily crafty Cut Up Harsh Noise and sampling that should please both fans of old school Japanese Harsh Noise bliss as well as those who appreciate the technical and progressive aspects of more recent big names. Artwork by Francoise Duvivier.

HET ZWEET - 'Het Zweet' 2 x LP WHITE (Staalplaat) - £29

Originally released in 1987 by Dossier, this self-titled album from Het Zweet ("The Sweat" in English) feels like one is listening to something that's both much more current and also much, much older than that. Marien Van Oers, who passed away in 2013, made music that tended to get classed as "industrial", with steady, clanging churns demonstrating why, but he was as or more inspired by tribal music producing trance-like effects via rhythm and repetition. Using self-made instruments, the music of Het Zweet locks into rhythms that somehow feel more elemental and physical than many of his contemporaries. The tribal drumming, the invocations, and the loops of acoustic sound add an entirely different rhythm to the game - think Z'EV meets early Muslimgauze and Test Department. An excellent record, remastered with great care by Radboud Mens. The bonus material included on this reissue expands "Het Zweet" with a second LP consisting entirely of previously unreleased material that belie their disparate origins with a unity of sound and purpose. Ltd x 400 copies on 180g heavy white vinyl, in a two colour, hand-screenprinted and numbered special Gmund paper sleeve sewn top and bottom, with spot-varnish detail. Comes with dowload code.
RAPOON - 'Skulls On The Plains Of Turkey' CD (Zoharum) - £11.50

On his latest album, Robin Storey (Rapoon, ex-Zoviet France) once again invites us on a musical journey to the exotic world of the Orient, sparkling with many delicately woven miniatures, based on fragments of melodies, heard as if in the deep sleep phase, when sounds and images reaching us from a distance gently fill the space, giving the impression of an integral part of it. The tracks are filled with tribal rhythms, vocals and a wide palette of colours; an extremely coherent, slightly pulsating ambient emerges in the spirit of the best Rapoon albums. "Skulls On The Plains Of Turkey" is also a kind of musical story, inspired by one of those moments when the surrounding space and seemingly ordinary events make us reflect deeper. "Sitting at a table in front of a bar by the sea in Chania, watching the crashing waves and enjoying the beauty of this place, I watched a ball of white light moving from behind the eastern headland and disappearing behind the west. It was moving at speeds impossible for a boat or plane. I looked around to see if anyone else noticed... but everyone was just staring at the glass screens of their phones". All this can be read somewhere in the small phrases and compositional structures on which this meditative, slightly reflective concept was based. Ltd x 400 copies in a gold and black print digipak.
MERZBOW - 'Flesh Metal Orgasm' CD (Old Europa Cafe) - £12

This is a reissue of a tape release from Merzbow, originally released in 1989 on Nihilistic Recordings, and re-released on tape in 2010 by Blossoming Noise. Both editions are long sold out. The album is now presented on CD format for the first time. Potent Japanese Noise, which stretch and distorts for a psychedelic experience. Recorded live at ZSF Studio in September 1988, this is an essential document in the pre-history of psychedelic noise from the Japanese master of the genre. Play at maximum volume! Remastered for CD by Masami Akita in 2022. Ltd x 300 copies in a digipak.
RICHTER SCALE - 'A Ripple On The Richter Scale Parts 1 & 2' 2 x CD (Ultra-Mail Prod.) - £26

The second step in a long distance project, born on a singularly bright star. Michel Leroy (Thanatoloop) sent a collection of piano pieces made in his home in Santiago, Chile to Edward Ka-Spel (THE LEGENDARY PINK DOTS) in London. The ultimate destination was a truly beautiful place... This is a project that will most certainly continue. Additional instruments (violin, electronics, keyboards, electric guitar, flute, drums) on this album come from: The Silverman, Barry Gray, Paulo Rojas, Diego Pinto, and Constanza Lagos. Originally released on cassette in 2014 in an edition of just 50 copies, this reissue contains a further disc of bonus tracks. MUSLIMGAUZE - 'Muhammadunize' CD (Staalplaat) - £14

"Muhammadunize" has what could be called a classic Muslimgauze feel to it, with a familiar blend of drones, string instruments, synths, and varying percussion / break-beat patterns, in turn mixed with a number of hard-to-catch vocal samples. Bryn Jones still manages to keep things just fresh enough, incorporating the basic power of his work in the tracks with both beauty and a hard-to-define tension. The sound palette of "Muhammadunize" is very similar to his ambient-techno albums such as "Mullah Said" and "Gun Aramaic", down to the rhythms and the trademark tanpura drones and keys in C minor. The difference is that it's a bit more aggressive and faster-paced than the aforementioned albums, thus utilising a similar dark atmosphere to a more immediate effect, especially as noted by the drum-kit urban-sounding pulse of 'Imad Akel', one of the high points on this album. Recorded and mixed at Abraham Mosque, Manchester 1996. Ltd x 300 numbered copies in a stunning hand screenprinted textured cover which features silver foilprint, spot-varnished details and sewn sides.
VIDNA OBMANA & PBK - 'Monument Of Empty Colours + Depression And Ideal' 2 x CD (Zoharum) - £16

Dirk Serries (VIDNA OBMANA / FEAR FALLS BURNING) in collaboration with Phillip B. Klinger, better known as PBK. In the past, these gentlemen undertook joint initiatives several times, with a lot of material in common. This release features the two most expressive albums, "Monument Of Empty Colours" and "Depression And Ideal", both originally released in 1989. Many similarities can be found in the material, both in terms of composition and sound, resulting in a coherent, even monolithic whole, built of smaller, expressive parts. This explains why they were published on two separate CDs, but enclosed in one digipak, with one graphic design connecting the two parts of a larger whole. Both discs are filled with tracks characterized by a raw and dark sound, fitting into the convention of post-industrial dark ambient. All material from both sessions has been remastered for this release. Ltd x 400 copies in a 6-panel double digipak.

DEATHWALK - 'Djevelens Urkraft' CD (Zazen Sounds) - £12

Following a split album with Shibalba and Dead Man's Hill, Deathwalk finally return from the shadows, raising from the asphyxiating misanthropic Norwegian unlight their long waited debut album. Ideated and developed in a period of nearly three years, Deathwalk present a further sound evolution, a deeper ritualisation of the audio experience. An obscure, cruel, misanthropic opus channelling the individual psyche through the nexion, the acausal dimensions, the hidden forces of Darkness while enhancing the pitch black aura of the Death's breath. Six hymns (56 mins) of pure ritualistic sinister ambience, devoted to the majestic primordial ruling force of the Devil and the Abyss. A cinematic sound visual approach, a deadly crossing between ritual voices, invocations, chants and eerie soundscapes marks into the cold obscurity an album beyond humanity. Features guest contributions from No One (T.O.M.B.), Stielh (New Risen Throne) and NecrosHorns. 6-panel digisleeve. Already sold out from the label!
ADRIANO ZANNI & ENRICO CONIGLIO - 'A Corte' CD + Art Booklet (13 / Silentes) - £18

A visual, photographic and aural investigation of contemporary mountain landscape change. "A Corte" is a photographic work by Adriano Zanni, a selection of excerpts, part of a much larger work of photographic and aural research / documentation carried out around the architectures of the former Eni Mountain Village in Corte di Cadore (Belluno, Italy) conducted over the last 15 years. This work consists of a 24-page A4 art booklet with an equal number of photographs coming with a companion "sonorization" created by Adriano Zanni and Enrico Coniglio (Lemures, Aqua Dorsa), in which field recordings and sounds are mixed giving shape to an ambient soundtrack that deeply explores folds of the soul of a place, overstepping reality to become a dream. A total immersion in an "other" dimension among woods, villas, tents, camping, village, colony, church. Among the mountains of Cadore. Human intervention modifying nature and occupying it by integrating into its space through architecture, nature reshaping spaces by (re)settling among structures in the form of a pulsating living organism, an ecosystem, a forest. Ltd x 200 copies with printed vellum overwrap.

VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Anthology Of Contemporary Music From Greece' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £12

In ancient Greece, music played a central role in all areas of life, both public and private. Through these new compositions, one seems to perceive a sonic glimpse into those ancient times, with primitive noise rituals, combining analogue equipment and amplified built instruments, creating a creative blend of ethnological study and ancient culture, alongside abstract minimalism, and electronic and electroacoustic experimentation. Tradition and innovation, past and present, history and future are in a constant dialectical relationship. Music in Greece is still flourishing through its youth, despite the millennia of culture behind it. Features: Grim Machine, Dimitris Savva (2 tracks), Pina Bounce, Savvas Metaxas, Meteoros Meteor, Melophobia, Epavlispavlakis + Nicolas Malevitsis, Costis Drygianakis, d E, Michalis Paraskakis, Lefteris Papadimitriou, Mørket, Conjecture, Andreas Monopolis, Adarcah, Anastasios Kokkinidis, DahaW, and Nikos Sotirelis.
