KHOST - Many Things Afflict Us Few Things Console Us
CD £9.50 Adv | LP Black £18 Adv | LP Red £21 Adv - Out 20 Sep (Vinyl in stock early!)

The 5th album from Birmingham-based industrial/doom metal band Khost sees the band forging new and at times nightmarish territories, alongside their signature walls of detuned guitar, corroded percussion and VHS atmospherics.
FULL ALBUM STREAM AT OUR BANDCAMP!
Inspiration for many of the tracks came from countless live shows and even soundcheck experiments in which extreme, harsh electronics evolved, as did punk/early industrial tempos, all of which were then fused into the DNA of "Many Things Afflict Us Few Things Console Us".
Khost remark: "We hoped that the experience would be something like venturing into an off-limits wing of some gallery after-hours, with each turn more disorientating than where you just were".
Collaborators include AXEBREAKER (aka Terence Hannum of Locrian), acclaimed cellist JO QUAIL, and Berlin-based sound designer MANUEL LIEBESKIND.
The CD and the vinyl are different beasts. The CD is reinforced with 7 extra tracks including ADRIAN STAINBURNER's incredible remix of 'Yellow Light' featuring STEPHEN MALLINDER (Cabaret Voltaire, Wrangler) on vocals, and BERENECES adding his signature deep, dark D&B sound to the track 'Death Threat'. The LP editions feature a different mix by Khost especially for vinyl.

400 LONELY THINGS - 'The New Twilight'
CD £10 Adv - Out 11 Sep

Tumble back into the nebulous and murky psychedelic haze of 70's-80's VHS horror!
Explore grimy palimpsests from the film studio to the grindhouse with 400 Lonely Things in "The New Twilight": eleven creepy yet sublime analogue microdoses of vintage genre and exploitation audio sampled and filtered through the darkly ambient, melodically droning, melancholic nerd soul.
It's been said by many over the years that Horror is the most flexible genre. So many ideas, themes, and styles flow through it. Craig Varian of 400 Lonely Things has spent a half-century on earth exploring almost all of it, and finds a particular sweet spot in the glut of films released in the VHS boom of the 80's.
Varian developed a fascination for the worlds of sound revealed by audio sampling after first encountering an Ensoniq Mirage in the 1980s. While he found sampling music interesting and often surprising, it was the overlooked moments in the audio environments of horror films in particular that seemed to provide the most fertile wealth of inexplicably sublime material. More often than not, samples from these sources seemed eager to twist themselves into moments of smeary, effusive beauty and when looped and treated, often veered directly into mysterious assemblies of warm melancholia - meditative poetics that were never implied in their lurid lo-fi grindhouse presentations. And, of course, sometimes they were just creepy.
While a couple previous releases by 400 Lonely Things in this realm have focused on specific film-titles (2008's "Tonight Of The Living Dead" and 2022's "Nigths And Profecy") with similar results, their 17th album "The New Twilight" is the first 400 Lonely Things release to take a slight step back to widen that perspective a bit, to focus on the overall genre itself. With the exception of one single track, each song (and song title) is sourced from a single film.
To further this theme, the chronologically ordered booklet included in the physical packaging (and digital booklet included with Bandcamp purchases) uses the same techniques to extract a hazy and dreamlike visual reference from the murky celluloid sources.
Adjacent genres: hauntology • dark ambient • experimental electronics • psychedelic • drone • soundtrack • plunderphonics
• CD in flood-printed matt-laminate digipak with a fascinating 12-page booklet of tantalizing visual clues! |
JAC BERROCAL + DAVID FENECH + VINCENT EPPLAY feat COSEY FANNI TUTTI and JAH WOBBLE
CD £9.50 Adv | LP Black £20 | LP Yellow £23 - Vinyl in stock now! CD out 20th Sep
"Broken Allures", the fifth LP from trio Jac Berrocal, David Fenech, and Vincent Epplay (following releases on Blackest Ever Black, Akuphone, KlangGalerie), furthers their unique recording style with a musique concrète approach to mixing, characterized by the distinctive sound and technique of musicians and producers. Fenech and Epplay have paired with legendary French musician Berrocal, renowned for his collaborations with Nurse With Wound, Vince Taylor, Jaki Liebezeit, Pascal Comelade, Sunny Murray etc. "Broken Allures" is arguably their most coherent and fully accomplished album to date.
For this album, the trio has invited two fantastic musicians to compose with them: COSEY FANNI TUTTI and JAH WOBBLE.
COSEY FANNI TUTTI (Throbbing Gristle, Chris & Cosey, COUM Transmissions) contributes vocals, cornet, and electric guitar in her unique style. She has also written lyrics for two tracks on the album and brings a radical touch to the instrumental track 'Viva la Hacienda', which, in her own words, recalls her time recording with Throbbing Gristle.
JAH WOBBLE (founding member of Public Image Limited, and collaborator with African Head Charge, Brian Eno, Björk, Holger Czukay, Jaki Liebezeit, Bill Laswell, Primal Scream, Evan Parker, Sinéad O'Connor etc) plays a deep bass line on one track. He adds his signature industrial dub sound, with deep sub-bass frequencies.
File next to Throbbing Gristle, early Clock DVA, Chris & Cosey, Bill Laswell, Master Musicians Of Jajouka.
• CD in a matt-laminate flood-printed digipak.

10 Year Anniversary LP Edition!
Out of print for nearly a decade, we are proud to announce the much-demanded new vinyl edition of this legendary collaboration. Coloured LP (sold out) or black LP (2nd Ed) in full-colour sleeve with printed inner sleeve.
"Recoiled" is a rambunctious alchemy, of magikal COIL sensibilities and hi-tech home circa 90's mixing technique, all fused in the cave-like early studios of Danny Hyde / Peter Christopherson.
Includes a fuller, more opulent version of the track 'Closer', which eventually made it onto the opening credits to the movie "SE7EN". These 5 lengthy compositions are pre-Ableton / laptop generation type priest song creations, with the use of baby alarms and numerous wires to create bespoke effects.
Jhonn Balance is also manifest on this gilded constellation. Beautifully remastered.
• Black vinyl
• Black t-shirt with full-colour print.
Also available:
• CD in full colour digipak.

The brand new album from TenHornedBeast - the ritual drone project of Christopher Walton (Endvra).
The wild goats (Capra Hircus) of the Cheviot hills have lived there for millennia and are the Avatars of the wild places. If there is a heathenry left on this island, it is to be found at the places where the wild goats gather, in the secret valleys and alongside nameless burns. They are the Children of Pan in an Arcadia that straddles both the imagination and the real world.
"Capra Hircus" is full of the glowing sunrise of hill-top psychedelia and shimmering, spiralling drones that mimic the abstract lines of the rock-art panels that mark the landscape. The music flows outwards and immerses the listener in looping, hypnotic waves of feedback.
CD in 6-panel flood-printed matt digipak with photographs taken by Christopher Walton on the High Places of Pennine Horeb.

CROOKED MOUTH - 'Between The Fool & The Magician' CD (Ætheric Recordings) - £12
On "Between The Fool & The Magician" Crooked Mouth (Ian Campbell, also of Romowe Rikoito) presents their well-known eclectic neo/folk style, honed and imported from the mountains and coastal forests of Western Canada to the Baltic world, in a contemporary old-world context. Guitar and voice are aided by a myriad of instruments including accordion, harmonium, shruti box, melodium, jaw-harp, and even a birch vanta. The narrative twists between anthemic expressions of gruelling outer circumstances represented by a hard stone city, contrasting with pastoral ballads representing a secret inner world serving as a refuge from outer turmoil, with an added dose of psychedelic misrule. As the sun sets on a European city, an alchemical process begins to take place in the space of one night. A threshold is passed under a city gate, the Blackened Mother appears, an outer journey turns inward... and then spirals outward again. Joining Crooked Mouth on this journey is a cast of international wyrd-folk characters: Adam Ormes (of Romowe Rikoito on sacred percussion, voice), Æmber (cello, voice), Art Abscons (guitar), and Lithuanian guests: Agota Zdanavičiūtė (of Sen Svaja on kanklės), and Virginija Pievos (of Pievos, on flute, lumzdėlis and hurdy-gurdy). Mastered by Nathaniel Ritter (Knit Her, Wreathes). Ltd x 200 copies with 8-page booklet. |
CROOKED MOUTH - 'Between The Fool & The Magician' LP (Ætheric Recordings) - £23
Second vinyl edition of the above release. Ltd x 150 copies on black vinyl with printed inner sleeve, with lyrics and more. |
CROOKED MOUTH - 'Decay' CD (Shadow Of The Stone) - £12
Founded by Canada's Ian Campbell, Crooked Mouth has developed their own style of post-industrial folk music, blending influences from the original Neofolk wave, with the obscurities of 60's/70's acid folk, archaic folklore groups, post-punk music, and the contemporary underground. "The majestic northern soul of Crooked Mouth squares our shoulders and uplifts our hearts with their finest offering to date. Decay is rich and mature, smelling of salt and soil. The ocean size bluster of side A, blows deftly through the scene with an upright and regal songcraft. Ian Campbell authors a songbook of focused and intimate originality which shines brighter than so many rehashed tropes. Foregoing the typical occult posturing and other sinister themes for a genuinely personal experience, the entire album brims with the heat of the hearth. A modest sense of ancestral pride, childhood nostalgia and homebound gratitude all well up from the atmosphere of this album. Side B sees our journeyman tear off his clothes to plunge over the rapids and land effortlessly into the kind of heart-opening grooves that have made the high northwest regions famous, one generation after the next. Irish folk tunes meet post-industrial grit, tribal confidence and stirring Pacific dirge all wrapped in flannel and swollen with beer, stumbling in song with echoes bounding throughout the night and burning deeply together beneath a filter of giant fir trees. The arms of the mountain call you home" (Clay Ruby, Burial Hex). Mastered by Nathaniel Ritter (Knit Her, Wreathes). Ltd x 500 copies in a digipak with booklet. |
HUNTING LODGE - 'Nomad Souls / Tribal Warning Shot / The Harvest' 3 x LP Set (Winter Hill Recordings / Fourth Dimension / S/M Operations) - £40
40 Years ago Hunting Lodge was nearing the peak of its fertile 'tribal' period. In celebration, this limited edition 3LP reissue set gathers "Nomad Souls", "Tribal Warning Shot+" and "The Harvest (Live)" in a deluxe book-style gatefold package. The "Nomad Souls" LP was originally released in 1984 on S/M Operations in the USA, and in the following spring on Side Effekts Records, UK.
The second disc, "Tribal Warning Shot" was originally a 12" 4-track EP released early 1985 on S/M Operations (USA) and is extended here with a remix of the title track for a 12" release on Normal Records (Germany), a new remix of the 1983 7" "Night From Night" b/w "Untitled", along with 2 tracks that appeared on compilation albums and one previously unreleased track. The LP is rounded off with a track from original "The Harvest" live cassette, to ease you into the album to come.
"The Harvest" cassette itself was a collection of live Hunting Lodge tracks circa 1984 which has never appeared on LP until now. For cohesion, the two LP sides have been separated by show: Side A from Chicago, where the original "Tribal Warning Shot (live)" was recorded, with the flipside featuring a Detroit show bearing distinction of being the only time Roselle Williams (The Wolf
Hour) sang live with the band. Each side features one song that was NOT included on the original "The Harvest" release.
This set features a replica of the original S/M Operations' "Nomad Souls'"cover, and of the original Normal Records 12" art on the second LP. The third sleeve features a newly designed back cover by Rolaid Alpo Cola, and an inner panel including the original promo poster artwork along with an essay from Graeme Revell (SPK).
All tracks have been lovingly remastered from the original reels and cassettes, restored by Grant Richardson and mastered for vinyl by Sion Orgon.
All artwork was and are creations of the legendary T. M. Caldwell. |
JARL - 'Neurotransmitters-Sphere-Music' CD (Reverse Alignment) - £12
Neurotransmitters are chemical messengers that help nerve cells communicate with each other. Referring to this concept, "Neurotransmitters-Sphere-Music" consists of four pieces (over an hour) showcasing Jarl's trademark psychedelic, hypnotic approach, based on minimal sequencing, analogue pulsating synthesizers chords and repetitive percussive layers. Swedish musician Erik Jarl has been active since 1999, principally as Jarl, but also a member of IRM, Skin Area, Kaiten, and Sharon's Last Party. Jarl composes his music through a total analogue approach with the use of synthesizers, analogue sequencers, waveform generators, and oscillators, as well as several echo/reverb and delay units. "This is gorgeously minimal music, with pulsating synth work and repetitive layers of evolving drones - all blended together to create something truly special. A must-listen for those of you who like subtle soundscapes and layered sound" (This Is Darkness). Mastered by Raffaele Pezzella (Sonologyst). Ltd x 200 copies in a 6-panel matt-laminate digipak with cover art by Karolina Urbaniak.
|
MAURIZIO BIANCHI & SONOLOGYST - 'Forme' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £12
While Italian artists Maurizio Bianchi and Sonologyst (Raffaele Pezzella) differ in generation and sound, their artistic philosophies align - the urge to innovate and willingness to push against artificial boundaries of genre are manifested in restless manipulations of the raw fabric of sound. The album includes electronics and hypnotic bassy oscillations, suggesting themes of psychological horror, societal breakdown, and dystopian futures. The compositions use dense, layered soundscapes that incorporate industrial noises, shifting sound walls, and detailed textures, evoking a range of sensations from cosmic expanses to the claustrophobic intensity of sleep paralysis. "Whereas Bianchi's influences may lie in very early industrial music and musique concrète, for Pezzella, it's a lot more, Brian Eno, Pauline Oliveros, Terry Riley, Jon Hassel and, no surprise, Bianchi, besides influences from films books, philosophy (hauntology, nihilism), and science (particle physics). "Forme" is a work pervaded by investigative exploration of the unknown electro-modulatory... a flow of sounds, electronic in nature. There is a consistent flow in these pieces, rather than tight composing... I love this sort of rusty spaceship accident waiting to happen soundtrack; the leaky nuclear reactor minutes before combustion and we feel the burn slowly arriving" (Vital Weekly). Ltd x 200 copies in a 6-panel matt-laminate digipak. |
MEGAPTERA - 'Beyond The Massive Darkness' 2 x CD (Old Captain) - £18
Much-anticipated reissue of the Swedish death industrial milestone.
CD1 is a remixed version of "Beyond The Shadow" (Megaptera's first CD; Kronotop, 1994) with two new versions of tracks composed by the original founder of the project, Mikael Svensson (Deaf Machine) from "The Curse Of The Scarecrow" CD (Release Entertainment, 1998).
CD2 is a reissue of "Songs From The Massive Darkness" (Megaptera's first LP; Vinyl Attack, 1992). This edition also features "Deep Inside" 12" (Slaughter Productions, 1997.) feat. Magnus Sundström (The Protagonist) and Mårten Kellerman (Each Dawn I Die), which wasn't present on the Cold Meat Industry version (2001). Ltd x 300 copies in a deluxe 8-panel matte-laminated digipak with new artwork.

NURSE WITH WOUND With BLADDER FLASK - 'Backside' CD (United Dairies) - £14
CD reissue of the 2021 lathe-cut LP with an additional track. Nurse With Wound and Bladder Flask (aka Richard & Philip Rupenus of The New Blockaders) first crossed paths in 1980. The following year saw the release of NWW's fourth album, Insect & Individual Silenced and Bladder Flask's debut (and in fact only) album, "One Day I Was So Sad That The Corners Of My Mouth Met & Everybody Thought I Was Whistling". The LP quickly came to the attention of Steven Stapleton who distributed it via United Dairies and had the following to say: "I love the Bladder Flask album - and what a great title, perhaps my favourite ever".
With the 40th anniversary LP edition of the "One Day I Was So Sad...", Richard Rupenus approached Steven Stapleton with a view to him remixing / reworking some Bladder Flask material, an invitation which Stapleton was happy to accept. However, rather than merely remixing / reworking existing Bladder Flask, Nurse WIth Wound (Stapleton with Andrew Liles) has created a brand new work which magnificently fuses both artists' sense of the absurd.

PHOANØGRAMMA & LUCA FERRO - 'Limen Memoriae' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £12
A sonic journey through the depths of memory and liminal abandonment resulting in an atmospherically alluring album, with acoustic notes and refractions of the ethno-ritual-cosmic. Drawing inspiration from the transient and fallible nature of memory, the music presented by Phoanøgramma (Angelo Panebianco and Matteo Mariano) and Luca Ferro (Orchestra Senza Confini) tells stories of vast spaces and impossible, almost alien architectures, embracing the disoriented acceptance of memory's impermanence in contrast to eternity. The accompanying imagery depicts a world, a future yet unknown but long forgotten; an uninhabited landscape of structures now surrendered to the relentless passage of time and rain, saturated with desolate nostalgia.
During the recording process, the musicians eschewed fixed roles, allowing the spontaneity of the moment to dictate their instrument selection. Acoustic and standalone instruments were captured using a single ambient microphone, preserving the authentic essence of the environment. Ltd x 200 copies in a 6-panel matt-laminate digipak. |
REVERSE IMAGE & THOMAS BEY WILLIAM BAILEY - 'Tokokawa' CD (Fourth Dimension) - £11.50
This collaborative release from Malaysia's Reverse Image and South Carolina's Thomas Bey William Bailey shines with a dynamic, ever-renewing sense of aesthetics based on cyclical renewal. Three immersive movements (45 mins) of avant-electronics full of unexpected tonal contrasts and shifts in intensity, powered by modular synthesis, concrète assemblage technique and a pervasive desire to work with the full spectrum of sound. A deep dive into a murky and turbulent world where analogue electronic sound sources are driven hard into an entirely contemporary setting that's at once commanding and convoluted. Vast torrents of noise are reshaped alongside iridescent whirrs, metallic scrapes, shimmering tones, space flotsam, deep well chimes, front line pulses and heaving hums over the course of three magnificent pieces that pull confrontational music inside-out to expose a kind of ravaged beauty. Ltd x 300 copies in a high gloss digipak with obi strip, with art by Paul Takahashi. |
ROMOWE RIKOITO - 'UKA' LP BLUE (Ætheric Recordings / Dangus Productions) - £25
"UKA" is a journey on the inner path of Baltic Eternity - Prābutiskan - towards the sanctuary of Rāmawa.
Romowe Rikoito has tread this path since 1995, and on this new album they incorporate the dreamlike and hallucinatory sounds of 1980's electronics to their signature Baltic-Prussian Neofolk.
The title refers to the Prussian sky-god, Ukapirms ("the most-first"), highest of the Baltic gods.
Ukapirms is a secret name of the god Dēiws, corresponding to the Proto-Indo-European Deiwos ("the Shining One"). Sometimes this name is understood as the Lithuanian word auka (place of sacrifice / sacred place). Ukapirms is a many-faceted god, and he manifests through numerous characters and mysteries.
The eight songs trace these manifestations through the wheel of the year, beginning with Kliptinas Kalēndas (a "Secret Yule"), and continuing in an eternal circle through equinoxes and solstices, dreams, riddles, and empty places, where Ukapirms reveals parts of himself in myriad forms.
Ltd x 125 copies on 180g translucent blue vinyl with printed inner sleeve featuring lyrics and more. |
ROTAT - 'Static Antics' CD Tin Boxset (Aussaat) - £16
Rotat is a Harsh Noise project based in Finland known for its unique
powerful and irritating recordings. All kind of sources are used to create an explosive attack on the listener's ears. The intense new album, "Static Antics", presents a kind of developed sound. A mid paced ride of heavy noise walls, like a maelstrom leading to madness. "Rotat is the sort of musician to use crashing metallic plates and feeding those signals through sound effects, a bunch of connected guitar pedals (dubbed by Merzbow as Rainbow electronics), arriving at five lengthy excursions of minimalist noise. Not the HNW variety, a massive, endless blur of sound, but a constant colliding of sounds, bumping and crashing into each other..." (Vital Weekly). Ltd x 120 copies (CD proper), presented in a velvet-lined tin box with 8-page booklet, sticker, and badge. |
VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Anthology Of Contemporary Music From Far East' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £12
"Dedicated to the Far East [it] offers a decidedly varied panorama, not necessarily characterized by unmistakable specifically ethnic elements, also evident in episodes such as the exotic 'The Hungry Fisherman' by the Chinese artist Baishui or in the rhythmic 'Menolak Tunduk, Refuse to Submit' by the Indonesian artist Wukir Suryadi.
Of notable suggestion, with a ritual imprint, are the contributions of Senyawa, a duo also from Indonesia, with 'Istana', recorded live, in which a liturgical voice unfolds among threatening and solemn sounds, or from the Chinese formation Ying Shui Di Jiang, with a 'Jam At W Art Space' featuring an esoteric aroma highlighted by the flute. The representation of tracks categorized as drone music is extensive, with distinctly dark inflections in the case of Chunyang Yao and Andy Chia and glitch patches in the case of the Japanese artist Ryo Murakami. In the avant-garde dimension are the Taiwanese artist Gina Lo, between field recordings and mournful vocalizations, the elusiveness of 'Torturing Piano' by the South Korean artist Sangwon Lee, and the abstract minimalism of the Singaporean artist Irving Paul Pereira" (Blow Up Mag). Also features: Kazuya Ishigami, Mahakit Mahaniranon, Yoyogi Koen, Masayuki Imanishi, fr(HK), Dadang Dwi Septiyan feat. Ibnu Yan, Lai Tsung Yun, Farabi Toshiyuki Suzuki, Pupa, and Ritesh Maharjan. Ltd x 200 copies in a 6-panel matt-laminate digipak. |
VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Anthology Of Experimental Music From Canada' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £12
"As with other USG anthologies and local experimental music collections from the past, the styles represented here are numerous: from the drones of Clinker and Mark Hjorthoy, to cinematic pieces by Richard Bégin and Kuma; from cinematic pieces with interspersed field recordings from Michael Trommer and Au Vol, to outright noisy romps delivered by Sound Is Energy, John Oliver, Brandon Auger, Dan Potter, and Jacob Audrey Taves. Whether you're a community radio programmer or not, the Anthology of Experimental Music From Canada is a great introduction to some of the most challenging and left-field music being made in Canada today" (Bepi Crespan). Also features: Kaunsel, E. Dulanowsky, and Aether Pilot. Ltd x 200 copies in a 6-panel matt-laminate digipak. |
VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Cut UP. Deconstructing W. S. Burroughs' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £13
An astounding new collection exploring contemporary practices rooted in the avant-garde technique... a powerful rethinking of the potential of ambient music through the lens of industrial music, electronic experimentalism, and subtle treatments of musique concrète. Between the end of the 1950's and the beginning of the '60s, the literary and stylistic technique of William S. Burroughs (1917-1997) influenced an entire generation that was, in those years, in direct collision with the social system. A somewhat controversial man on the fringes of civilization, from his brilliant mind emerged the creative writing technique that burst onto the scene under the name of Cut-Up. This procedure was previously introduced by the Dadaist poet Tristan Tzara, involving cutting words from an existing text to generate a new meaning by mixing the various words in a different order. Burroughs took this technique to the extreme, influencing every artistic realm, particularly the field of rock and experimental music. The list of his disciples in the musical domain is extensive, including names like David Bowie, Patti Smith, Frank Zappa, Sonic Youth, Bob Dylan, and Throbbing Gristle, to name just a few. This homage to the great American writer features an incredible roster of artists: Sigillum S, Dead Voices On Air, Adi Newton (Clock DVA, TAGC), 400 Lonely Things, Rapoon, PBK, Paolo L. Bandera (Sigillum S, Sshe Retina Stimulants, Iugula Thor), Allan Segall, David Lee Myers (Arcane Device), P.U.M.A., Mario Lino Stancati, Phoanøgramma + The Washing Planck, and Nihil Impvlse. Ltd x 200 copies in a 6-panel matt-laminate digipak. |

A concept release dealing with the personal and collective hell inside Swedish mental asylum Ulleråker. Over 68 minutes of music brimming with insanity, negative emotional charge and filthy technocratic dizziness, crafted with primitive tools. Ulleråker drags you down into the black waters of its abysmal vortex. The title track was originally released on a cassette by Styggelse (2005). The second track, "Spännbädden" is a previously unreleased tape, recorded in 2006. Recorded on a Tascam 244 in Sundsvall and Uppsala. Artwork and layout by Olsson. Ltd x 200 copies in a digipak.

Two-part Harsh Noise Wall disturbances from Serbian project Dead Body Collection (aka Aleksandar Nenad of Creation Through Destruction), recorded during a very emotionally unsettling period of bleakness and hopelessness. Just like a stormy vortex, the listener slowly gets sucked into a disturbing emotional experience of an ever ascending wall of dark and uneasy noise abyss. You can almost feel the anguish through the hypnotic and suicidal atmospheres manifested by the relentless wall of amplified grind and sonic vibrations. Once again, Dead Body Collection continues to stand as one of the more serious purveyors of the HNW scene. With the effective manipulation of rumbling static textures and deafening sonic intensities, these multitude layers of distorted monolithic noise frequencies eventually crush the listener into a hellish state of delirium. Ltd x 200 hand-numbered copies with insert.

DIE WEISSE ROSE - 'White Roses In Bloom In Kyiv' CD (NO POSTER) (Old Captain) - £12
Reissue of this brilliant live CD from Denmark's Die Weisse Rose, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2021. As part of their 2015 tour, Die Weisse Rose performed a memorable ritual in Kyiv with an impressive line-up of founder Thomas Bøjden, Kim Larsen (Of The Wand & The Moon) and Gary Carey (Joy Of Life). DWR's martial industrial / neoclassical tracks from their debut album were executed with a puissant vigour and true honour, while the final part interpreted a Ukrainian folk melody that became a lament song during Ukrainian Revolution of 2013-2014. "White Roses In Bloom" gives a perfect chance to listen to the project live when it is at its most potent and emotional artistic edge. Ltd x 200 copies in a digipak . |
DIE WEISSE ROSE - 'White Roses In Bloom In Kyiv' CD + Poster (Old Captain) - £16
Ultra Limited Edition of the above release. Ltd x 50 copies in a digipak with folded A3 poster. |

Ltd x 200 copies in a digipak with A3 poster.

NIMH - 'The Missing Tapes' CD (Silentes) - £7
An incredible album by NIMH (Giuseppe Verticchio of Twist of Fate, Hall of Mirrors, Maribor, We Promise To Betray). Stratospheric sounds from another dimension, where multi-cultural sound-worlds collide. Processed electronic emulations of traditional Thai (and other indigenous) instruments, esoteric percussion, breathing, drones, feedback, shortwave radio, disembodied voices floating in air, and hazy field recordings all combine is a most intoxicating manner. With 'The Missing Tapes', NIMH returns to a more adventurous style, pushing the boundaries of sonic innovation past anything that we've heard before. A 50+ minute sonic-travelogue of electroacoustic experiments. Ambiguous music for those who want something completely unique. Art by the late Akifumi Nakajima (Aube).

NOSESOUL - 'Ethik Blues / Winterbirds Helped The Passengers' CD + DVD (Silentes) - £10
A fascinating album of ambient music that straddles the worlds of comfortable quiet sounds that continually morph and expand, and darker, more introspective tones that arouse a more turbulent and mysterious character. Atmospherics for nightfall; huge, enveloping soundscapes that completely overtake the senses. "Ethik Blues" is the soundtrack to the accompanying DVD "Winterbirds Helped The Passengers" - a truly wonderful movie by Francesco Paladino. One hour of pure sonic bliss to completely lose oneself in. Evocative dronecore infused with subtle vocal elements, featuring musicians: Opium, Sean Breadin (Metgumbnerbone / Masstishaddhu / Sedayne), Francesco Paladino & Massimo Marchini (both of A.T.R.O.X.), Sylvi Alli and more. A milestone for ambient / isolationist music lovers.

RICHARD RAMIREZ & DAVID GILDEN - 'Collaborations 1 & 2' 2 x CD (Old Captain) - £16.50
"Collaborations #1 and #2" were recorded in 1994 and have remained rare, sought-after noise documents ever since. It was also during this time that the Texans began their harsh noise project Lingula. Originally jointly released in 1995 in small cassette editions by both artist's labels (Deadline Recordings / Get A Job Records), two classics of true Noise are now assembled together for the first time and produced as a double set: 'Collaboration #1' features the late David Gilden (Black Leather Jesus, Slave Labor) on guitar and compressor, with Richard Ramirez (Werewolf Jerusalem, Black Leather Jesus) using sheet metal, voice, and radio; 'Collaboration #2' features Ramirez using source material provided by Gilden. Ltd x 200 copies in a matt-laminated double digipak with layout and design by Mauro Berchi (Eibon Records). |
VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'New World Order' 2 x CD (Thonar Records) - £13.50

SUTCLIFFE NO MORE - 'House Of Dolls' 2 x CD (4iB Records) - £17.50
SNM's "House Of Dolls" continues along the same vein as Sutcliffe Jügend's 2016 album "S L A V E S", but this time stretches and builds the music like never before. Consisting of 10 tracks or 'scenes' that build up, twist and turn, the carefully crafted soundscapes tell a story, without words but instead disturbingly created through complex sound textures. Calm yet haunting ambient drone (think NWW "Salt Marie Celeste") serves as the basis of the 'story', which eventually arrives at an unsettling end of cacophonous noise layers. The disturbed nature of each track is evident, accurately representing Kevin Tomkins (ex-Whitehouse) & Paul Taylor's relentless search for a truth we are all too often scared to face. A must buy for fans of their more complex instrumental work. Ltd x 300 copies in a 6-panel digisleeve with booklet. |
THE GREY WOLVES - 'Exit Wounds' CD (Tesco Organisation) - £12.50
A specially-curated compilation of rare tracks from the UK Power Electronics / Industrial Unit, released for their appearance at Hospital Prods / NWW fest in Osaka, April 2024. The vast majority of the tracks are ultra rarities from early TGW tapes (Prelude To Terror 1988, Victory Through Violence 1990, Incarceration 1994, Red Terror Black Terror 1987, Spasm 1991), some reworked / live tracks, the first re-release of the 11+ min track 'Psychick Rising' from the very first Cold Spring tape "INRI" (CS001, 1988), and 3 seemingly 'new' / previously tracks from the vaults. The CD comes packaged between two double-sided printed 6" cards, harking back to the feel of their classic early xeroxed cassette artwork. |
CAROLINE K - 'Now Wait For Last Year' LP + Poster (Old Captain / 4iB Records / Narcolepsia) - £26
Extremely limited vinyl reissue of a much-requested and sought-after title! Caroline K was a co-founder of the legendary UK Industrial groups The Pump and Nocturnal Emissions. She played on albums like "Tissue Of Lies", "Befehlsnotstand" and "Shake Those Chains Rattle Those Cages". She was also responsible for the legendary Sterile Records label alongside Nigel Ayers, releasing Lustmord, SPK, MB and Konstruktivists. Caroline sadly passed away in July 2008. Her only solo album, the title of which was taken from a Philip K. Dick novel, was released on LP by Earthly Delights in 1987. "Now Wait For Last Year" is a classic of beautiful ambient recordings; the majority of the music is haunting and melancholic. Beautifully remastered. Ltd x 75 copies on black vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with A3 poster.

INCAPACITANTS - 'Eternal Paralysis / Peony Crackers' 3 x CD (Old Europa Cafe) - £25
"Eternal Paralysis" and "Peony Crackers" were the first two tape albums by INCAPACITANTS released back in 1981 and 1983 by Toshiji Mikawa as a solo endeavour, on his own label Pariah Tapes. The original tapes have been digitally transferred by din-i-ilahi (Advaita Records) and completely remastered for CD format by Mr. Mikawa. Pioneering Japanese Noise recordings made with: a handmade sound generator named "The Mikawa", guitar, rhythm-box, firecrackers, trash can, and many other noise generators.
This is high-quality psychedelic Japanese Noise from the golden age that will drill your nervous system and crack your brain. "At the time I recorded [Eternal Paralysis], all the attention was focused on the extreme stage performance by Hijokaidan... I wanted to focus more on the noise itself and so Eternal Paralysis took form" (Toshiji Mikawa). Regarding "Peony Crackers", he continues: "some of the sound sources on this album were recorded in my room in the bachelor dormitory at work, using the sound of firecrackers (Peony Crackers) bursting in a trash can... I was scolded terribly by the dormitory manager. Album title was a reference to this episode". Two cult tapes, finally available again, 40 years after their first release. Ltd x 300 copies in a highly-psychedelic 8-panel digisleeve. |
KJOSTAD - 'Weathering' 2 x CD (Satatuhatta) - £15.50
Kjostad is New York's Stefan Aune (Breaking The Will, Form Hunter, Cryocene, The Sun Turns Black). "Weathering" is an album of physical, organic sounds performed across multiple temporalities, with an emphasis on density, texture, and concussion. Elemental music for things left buried in the ground. Kjostad weaves together an organic tapestry of man-made and natural sonics. Capturing highly personal sounds focused on northern Minnesota, Aune takes these moments and introduces layers of electronics and magnetic tape. Originally released as a very limited triple cassette box set on New Forces, this is a welcome reissue of the immersive, textural work as a double CD, reaching more ears and unearthing buried artifacts. Mastered by Grant Richardson (Gnawed). 6-panel double digipak. |
LÁSZLÓ HORTOBÁGYI - 'Daseinon' LP SIGNED (áMARXE) - £23
"On this brand-new release, Hungarian maestro László Hortobágyi draws from his palette of expertly manipulated electronic and sampled sounds with astonishing results. The subtle recontextualisation of Tibetan (Formula A) and Russian orthodox (Formula B) chant within the avant-electronic tapestry alleviates both traditions of their inherent cultural-historical / semantic burden, all the while gracefully revealing the common core... i.e. humanity's perennial and arduous quest for transcendence" (Vox Ritualis). "Daseinon" radically expands what we know of the composer and leaves him lingering in the mind. "This stunning artefact carves out a truly visionary place in the contemporary landscape of expressive sound. Subtly mind-bending in all the right ways" (Third Millennium Magazine). Ltd x 300 hand-numbered copies with artwork featuring a wooden carving by the artist, who has also signed each copy! |
KARNNOS - 'Concealed, In The Silence' LP (Corvus Records) - £23
"Concealed, In The Silence" is Karnnos' 7th full length record; a contemplative and oniric search for the cosmic mother, into the chasm of time. Ambiental, folkish, eerie songs and soundscapes illustrate the journey through the Great Mother mysteries of death, transformation and rebirth. The current line-up of bass, guitar, accordion and synth was joined by the violin, hurdy gurdy, psaltery and mandolin, bringing a renewed sonority to Karnnos' sound palette. Karnnos' music has always been a nostalgic journey through the remains of old; a stream of sensations, images and symbols coming from the deepest forests, coming from the echoes of our ancestors, coming from the bound with the unseen, the mysterious and the untamable. Hailing from Portugal, and with previous releases on Hau Ruck! and Cynfeirdd, Karnnos features members of Wolfskin, The Joy Of Nature, and Trajedesaliva. Ltd Ed brown / black / white marbled vinyl in a matt-laminate sleeve. |
THE ORACLE & REIGN A.D. - 'The Mountain Peaks Of Prophecy' LP (Repose Records) - £21
A dualistic tale of Heaven and Hell.
Hailing from Massachusetts, The Oracle marries the hypnotic allure of ritual electronics with a raw intensity reminiscent of Nine Inch Nails, Tangerine Dream or Vangelis all wrapped in an atmospheric shroud of dark ambient - as enigmatic as it is haunting. Inspired by "The Last Temptation Of Christ", these tracks imagine a hypothetical scenario where Jesus questions his messianic role, delving into the emotional and spiritual turmoil he might have faced during the three days spent in his tomb before his resurrection.
On the flipside, London-based black metal project Reign A.D. opt for a more progressive sound with lots of modulation, dynamics and a focus on layering new tonalities with their signature intense black metal style, akin to the likes of Opeth and Deathspell Omega.
New elements in the form of Hammond organ, synthesisers, trumpets, brass bells and even clean vocals for the first time (alongside the harsh), add a fresh layer of depth and intrigue to their sonic tapestry.
Offering access to the keys of both heaven and hell, each track represents an encounter with one of four demon kings - Amaymon, Urieus, Paimon, and Egyn. What sets this album apart is the unique interplay between The Oracle and Reign A.D., both sides of the album share underlying motifs, creating a cohesive and immersive listening experience.
Ltd x 250 copies on 180g heavyweight vinyl
in a matt-laminate sleeve. Completed with a 4-page booklet and obi strip, the album features artwork from each artist. |
B°TONG - '{Mass}' 2 x CD (Zoharum) - £15
Swiss artist B°TONG returns with a double CD titled consisting of recordings from two different sessions, recorded in 2022 and 2023. Each of them could successfully exist as a separate publication, but together they form a coherent whole. Chris Sigdell's music is a marriage of ambient, field recordings, and drone structures, to guitar and almost post-rock quasi songs. He uses the sounds extracted from his instruments to build a narrative with great freedom, juggling emotions and mood to the last note. As befits the epic nature of the work, there is enough space for experiment - grating, dingy basement sounds, as well as delicate melodies breaking through, which sometimes accompany ephemerally appearing songs, voices and melodies. Ltd x 300 copies in a 6-panel ecopak. |
