DEREK JARMAN - 'Through The Billboard Promised Land Without Ever Stopping'
LP £20 Adv. OUT 31st MAR

Written in 1971 and read here by the author himself "Through the Billboard Promised Land Without Ever Stopping" is Derek Jarman's only known work of narrative fiction.
Providing a prelude to some of the imagery Derek Jarman would use later in his career, particularly the alchemical dreamscapes in the film "Blue", it is a surreal, hallucinatory fairytale, signposted with elements of modernity, that has much of the mythic and archetypal about it.
With tantalising autobiographical details and a panoply of chromatic landscapes and psychosexual symbols, this richly poetic story details a journey with no destination or purpose across a mythical America, undertaken by the young blind King Amethyst and his valet John.
Previously only ever released on cassette (2022, Prototype Publishing, Ltd 80), this vinyl edition features facsimile images of the story's handwritten drafts from Jarman's archive and photos by the artist Michael Ginsborg, a close friend of Jarman's throughout the period of the story's writing.

ONE LEG ONE EYE - '...And Take The Black Worm With Me'
CD £9.50 Adv. OUT 6th MAR

As a founding member of Dublin experimental folk group LANKUM, Ian Lynch explores submerged leylines of music and song. His solo project ONE LEG ONE EYE sees him taking a fresh approach to musical arrangement culminating in a sound that is more rooted in the raw aesthetics of second wave black metal than contemporary folk.
Over the course of a year, Ian Lynch enjoyed the freedom of experimenting and exploring different paths of sound design without expectation or pressure. Seeking out interesting settings to record music and gather field recordings, the essence of which have seeped into the spirit of the music, Lynch explores rediscovered spaces in Dublin and familiar interior spaces. He frequently visited the abandoned warehouse where his father worked and sang with his shruti box, contented in his solitude.
The result is a distinct and sometimes harrowing drone-folk atmosphere conjured throughout the album's lengthy and enveloping compositions, with an eerily beautiful, immersive sadness resonating throughout.
"An immersive world of created sounds and raw, resonant singing... dazzling sounds... gorgeousness and menace... lyrics carrying oceans of sadness" (5/5, The Guardian)
Features Ian Lynch on hurdy gurdy, uilleann pipes, synth, vocals, shruti box, concertina, guitar, found sounds, and tape, with guests: Laurie Sue Shanaman (Ails, Ludicra) on vocals, and Ruth Clinton (Landless, Poor Creature) on church organ.
Only available on a one-time, long sold out CD pressing in Ireland (Nyahh Records, 2022), we now present this incredible album with an exclusive bonus track 'Sympathetic Invertebrate Ritual', recorded especially for this edition.

VA - 'Salò or The 120 Days Of Sodom' -
LP 'BLOOD RED' £23 Adv. - OUT 17th MARCH 2026 | CD £11. - OUT NOW!

The first time on any format for Pier Paolo Pasolini's controversial 1975 vision of the Marquis De Sade's 120 Days Of Sodom, featuring beautiful and discordant classical compositions, in stark contrast to the shocking and cruel events unfolding onscreen.
Three weeks before the scandalous release of "Salò, or The 120 Days Of Sodom", Pasolini was brutally murdered in Ostia, Italy. In the wake of the tragedy, legendary composer Ennio Morricone wrote 'Addio a Pier Paolo Pasolini' (Goodbye to Pier Paolo Pasolini) for the late filmmaker, included in the final edit.
Following the narrative of one of Pasolini's defining cinematic moments, the soundtrack opens with Ennio Morricone's "Son Tanto Triste", descends into the melancholic minor chords of Bach, Chopin, Orff, Puccini, and Graziosi, incorporates sinister renditions by the cast, and includes Morricone's own sombre tribute to the director.
Disgusted by the flood of crass sexploitation movies which filled the space opened up by his "Trilogy Of Life", Pasolini turned to the most nihilistic thinker in European history for what became his final film. His version of De Sade's 120 Days Of Sodom, amplified with motifs from Dante's Inferno, confronts the ultimate implications of fascism in a series of sexual and moral atrocities. "The only true anarchy is power".
The LP / CD will be released on Friday 13th February 2026, exactly 249 years since the Marquis de Sade was arrested and imprisoned in the dungeon of the Vincennes fortress for charges of "debauchery and immoderate libertinage" that scandalised his contemporaries.

COIL - 'Backwards' - 2LP 'FIRE RED' + CD (SOLD OUT)
2LP 'COLD WHITE' + CD £30 | 2LP BLACK + CD £28 - OUT NOW!
We mark a decade since we first released Coil's landmark album 'Backwards', with a special 10 year anniversary vinyl reissue. All editions come in a gatefold matt-laminate sleeve with silver detail.
ALL ORDERS DIRECT FROM THE COLD SPRING STORE / BANDCAMP INCLUDE:
THE FIRST EVER RELEASE OF THE FULL 'BACKWARDS DEMOS' (10-track CD), POSTER AND ARTCARD.
After the ground-breaking release of 1990's "Love's Secret Domain" album, Coil were not dormant; the main project was "Backwards", which was started in 1992, updated considerably between 1993 and 1995, and transferred in 1996 to New Orleans, where it was finished in the magic of the Nothing studios of Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails). The album saw the fruition of Jhonn Balance's recent vocal coaching, producing haunting, passionate vocals, while reaching new heights.
23 years after its initiation, these tracks have been beautifully preserved by Danny Hyde and are finally available in highest quality audio. Differing substantially from the later, remixed incarnation, "The New Backwards" (2008), "Backwards" contains the original versions of Coil's much-loved tracks; 'A Cold Cell' and 'Fire Of The Mind', which have appeared on various compilations over the years, and are now presented as originally intended.

HERMANN KOPP - 'Der Golem'
CD £11.50 - OUT NOW!

Best known for his "Nekromantik" soundtracks (Dir. Jörg Buttgereit), HERMANN KOPP composed and recorded his new soundtrack to the 1920 classic horror film "Der Golem" - a leading example of early German Expressionism by Paul Wegener. First released in 1914, three versions of this material were made, but only the 1920 version is still available.
Using violin, viola and electronic / synthesizer sounds, the new score adds a more contemporary, sometimes noisy edge to the film, whilst not forgetting the esoteric and mysterious components of the Golem myth of Jewish folklore. Set in a ghetto of medieval Prague, the Golem, a clay hulk brought to life by a magic scroll implanted in his chest, is summoned as a protector and avenger.
The soundtrack premiered 7th March 2025 in a Parisian cinema near Place de l'Etoile - by invitation of Vincent Glaume (organiser of the legendary Au-delà du Silence events in France, who first proposed the idea to Kopp). It was also presented at Wroclaw Industrial Festival, Poland in October 2025.
Hermann Kopp started recording songs on tape in the 70's, combining his violin with a Moog imitation in a very personal and minimal approach to music, with lyrics that bordered on surrealism. After a mini-LP in 1981 and his "Pop" LP of 1983, he became the fifth member of experimental synthesizer band Keine Ahnung. After a split, Kopp was contacted by filmmaker Jörg Buttgereit to participate in the scores for "Nekromantik", later in "Der Todesking" and finally in "Nekromantik 2". He has since released a string of incredible works through labels such as Galakthorrö, 4iB Records, One Way Static, and Vinyl On Demand.

ABSOLUTE KEY - 'Ei Meidän Kotimme' CD (Dunkelheit Produktionen) - £12
With "Ei Meidän Kotimme", Absolute Key frontman Antti Klemi (also recording as Circle Of Ouroboros and Valtakunta), displays his impressive skills and feeling for experimental soundscapes. Organic sound sources, such as the usage of scrap metal, have been skillfully arranged to form true compositions of semi-experimental sound. These parts are backed by deep drones and Industrial elements reminiscent of broken machinery. The results are nothing short of amazing and leave no doubt that this is indeed the work of a true visionary. Although not the easiest listening experience imaginable, those open to genuine skill and craft will be sure to appreciate the sounds and arrangements that has that deepness and bite of the old days of experimental Industrial. Ltd x 200 hand-numbered copies in a digipak. |
BLACK VAULT - 'Death Obsessed' CD (Dunkelheit Produktionen) - £12
Behold the return of mighty Black Vault from Denmark. After their debut "Hymns To The Great Devourer" the knives have been sharpened. "Death Obsessed" is beautifully murky and Scandinavian old school, evoking feelings of disturbing morbidity and atmospheric bliss at the same time. The album forms a true monolith of atmospheric Death / Black Industrial, which is oftentimes so painfully missed in our plastic age. Danish death enthusiasm reigns supreme as Black Vault shows how it is done. Decay is transformed into old school sonic pulses and haunting waves. In our times of oversaturation and uninspired form, "Death Obsessed" is one of those very few releases that could still be called a landmark. Frequencies of analogue death gone rampant. Mastered by Grant Richardson (Gnawed). Ltd x 200 hand-numbered copies. |
COLD PROPHET - 'Intentio Exitus' CD (The Sinister Initiative) - £12
Cold Prophet is the death / dark ambient project of Finnish artist and designer Tuomas Tahvanainen (aka Ritual Nucleart). "Intentio Exitus" is comprised of six lengthy new tracks (60 mins), domineering with the finest Death Ambience you could have hoped for. An audial extension of that bleak, misanthropic and most Satanic of visual languages, soaking the world in his nightmarish vision and to promote Death Ambience. Described by Nordvargr (MZ.412), also responsible for mastering, as a "complete audial nosedive, deep down below, where uncomfortably claustrophobic and sinister atmospheres meet Tahvanainen's patented nightmare soundscapes". The Sinister Initiative is the label of Niklas Kvarforth of Shining. 6-panel digipak. |
COLD PROPHET - 'Intentio Exitus' 2 x LP (The Sinister Initiative) - £26
Deluxe black vinyl edition of the above release. Features two bonus vinyl-only tracks. Ltd x 200 copies in a gatefold sleeve featuring different artwork from the CD edition. Comes with exclusive poster. |
DAWN & DUSK ENDUSK ENTWINED - 'Remains Of Loss' CD (Dark Vinyl) - £12
This is a completely reworked version of Dawn & Dusk Entwined's 2000 comeback album "Crossed Paths", originally a self-released CDR. The result offers French cold wave - with dark, cool synth pads, orchestral sound collages, and a strong touch of 80's darkwave retro charm. The original edition of 'Crossed Paths', released after seven years of inactivity, had ended up with too many tracks still sounding unfinished (according to the artist's ears in 2025). All the tracks here have had a completely new mix / arrangement, with four bonus tracks added and a totally refreshed track sequence in order to give more coherence to what the artist considered being for so many parts unfulfilled. Now, it is definitive and more satisfying with a more assertive direction, resulting in more mature versions and offering them the sound they deserved. Presented in a 6-panel ecopak. |
EDWARD KA-SPEL (THE LEGENDARY PINK DOTS) - 'The Sympathy Portal' LP (Lumberton Trading Company) - £22
Previously only available as a self-released CDR (Ltd x 99, 2022), "The Sympathy Portal" collects four tracks (40 mins, one of which is divided into three parts) that make full use of Edward Ka-Spel's (The Legendary Pink Dots) command for melody, texture and mood. Built from drifting keyboards, treated vocals, subtle field recordings and gently coiling rhythms coupled to often despairing or melancholic lyrics, the music moves between cosmic unease and fragile calm, with dynamics that breathe rather than overwhelm. "The Sympathy Portal" was created as 2020 drifted into 2021, reflecting a moment marked by uncertainty and isolation. This album reflects much of the fear and tension of the time, but the last song, 'Angel Trail (Slight Return)', was intended to offer some genuine hope, revived for the release after first appearing in a different form on The Legendary Pink Dots' "9 Lives to Wonder" back in 1994. It could be argued that the angel trail Edward so eloquently refers to is something that needs to be found more than ever and that, thankfully, his music helps to illuminate this despite its mostly distressed overtones. Ltd x 300 copies. |
GODWIN POINT (DAWN & DUSK ENTWINED) - 'Less Than Zero' CD (Dark Vinyl) - £12
Godwin Point is a Dark Ambient side project of Dawn & Dusk Entwined. This new album is largely inspired by the novel 'Less Than Zero' by Brett Easton Ellis. As a result, it differs significantly from the first three albums, as it leans more towards dark ambient and cinematic / atmospheric soundtracks. "A descent into shadowed emotional landscapes where unease becomes a language of its own... an unsettling emotional journey shaped by anxiety, disorientation, emptiness, and the collapse of communication. The album draws heavily from Bret Easton Ellis' novel whose cold, detached narrative unfolds in a violent, increasingly oppressive environment. That same atmosphere permeates the album: a sense of spiralling downward, reinforced by an impassive tone where the horrific and the mundane are delivered with equal indifference... unpredictable, suffocating, yet strangely alluring" (Terra Relicta). Ltd x 300 copies in a 6-panel ecopak. |
LA PORTA ERMETICA - 'Horti Lamiani' CD (Dunkelheit Produktionen) - £12
Featuring the talents of Adriano Vincenti (Cronaca Nera, Macelleria Mobile Di Mezzanotte, Pain Injection, Senketsu No Night Club, Waveshard, Zoloft Evra), Claudio Giammarini (Ain Soph, Circus Joy, Malato), and Devis Granziera (Teatro Satanico, New Processean Order), Italian super group La Porta Ermetica means business. "Horti Lamiani" is a show of strength for those waiting to hear new ritual frequencies. Throbs and bass are mixed with classical instrumentation, evoking an atmosphere one may know from acts like Halo Manash or Trepaneringsritualen. Never losing sight of experimentation and innovation, La Porta Ermetica also utilises unconventional elements like the female singing of Elisa Pambianchi (3+Dead) and a track featuring Maurizio Bianchi on piano to forge something truly original. With majestic sounds, "Horti Lamiani", is true alchemy and a great entry into the book of Ritual Industrial. Ltd x 300 hand-numbered copies. |
MURDEROUS VISION - 'Pestilent Black Breath' CD (Dunkelheit Produktionen) - £12
"Pestilent Black Breath" is the brand new album from Death Industrial Noise legend Murderous Vision (Stephen Petrus). From the first second, MV makes clear that that old darkness and spite is still alive and kicking. Blackest seas of vitriol and menace flow through the shadows of the psyche, while tortured vocals and whispers sing of desperation and hate, while walls of night crawl through the cracks of sanity. As one has come to expect from Petrus, the material is somewhat influenced by Dark Ambient but still has a noisy edge, which should please the fans of more dissonant frequencies. "Pestilent Black Breath" is a triumph and another addition to the ever-expanding exquisite catalogue of Murderous Vision. Experience the spirit of the 90's old school death draped in a cloak of modern mastery and dive into these dark parallel worlds. Features guests Pauline Lombardo (C*nting Daughters), and Philosoph (aka Jan Bremen of Cult Of Nihil, Grimoire De Occulte). Mastered by Grant Richardson (Gnawed). Ltd x 200 hand-numbered copies.

MUSLIMGAUZE - 'Al-Zulfiquar Shaheed' CD (Other Voices Records) - £13
Many people believe that the magic of Muslimgauze works best with his looping tracks - "Al-Zulfiquar Shaheed" is an incredible example of this. Originally released on the obscure French label T.4 back in 1994, "Al-Zulfiquar Shaheed" stands out as a major long lost showcase of the glorious early to mid-90's Muslimgauze period. An intoxicating suite (75 mins) showcasing Bryn Jones' ability to create lengthy, slow burning and detailed compositions soaked with trance inducing percussive impetus and beautiful middle eastern atmospheres. The five tracks here - expanded to include a bonus track from the legendary "Ophir" compilation released in the same year - exhibit Bryn's skill in creating lengthy and detailed compositions filled with Arabic percussion, droning keyboards, vocal samples and ethereal atmospheres. Recorded at the Abraham Mosque, Manchester, during summer of 1994. CD in gatefold ecopak with new artwork. |
NIHIL IMPVLSE - 'The Great Filter' CD (Eighth Tower Records / Unexplained Sounds) - £12
"The Great Filter" is a dark post-industrial exploration of humanity's collision course with its own tools. The album reframes the titular cosmic theory as a metaphor for our self-engineered existential sieve where accelerationism's fervent dogma and apocalyptic fatalism fuse into a nihilistic liturgy. Through seven corrosive movements, Nihil Impvlse conjures the dissonance of a species intoxicated by progress yet paralyzed by its consequences, mistaking collapse for transcendence. Far from a Luddite cry, "The Great Filter" interrogates the paradox of a civilization building its own obsolescence, each track a recursive loop of creation and erasure, until all that remains is the hollowed echo of a "yes" hissed into the void. "From the moment we hear the first notes of opener Trigger Event Mass, we know this is an album that will get under our skin. Nihil Impvlse succeeds in forging new paths within the post-industrial framework" (Luminous Dash). Ltd x 100 copies (CD proper) in a 6-panel digipak.

PALAIS IDEAL - 'Here And Now' CD (Dark Vinyl) - £12
Drawing deeply from the spirit of 80's post-punk and new wave, PALAIS IDEAL - John Edwards (vocals, guitar, synths) and Richard van Kruysdijk (bass, drums, synths, backing vocals) - have crafted a style of their own, evolving with each release. Since forming in 2017, PALAIS IDEAL have toured extensively across Europe and the UK, sharing stages with acts like Wire and Clan Of Xymox and steadily building a dedicated following. After being forced to reschedule their European tour three times during the pandemic, John and Richard turned their focus inward, to the studio. The result is their brand-new album, "Here And Now", the duo's fourth full-length release. This record highlights the energetic edge the NL/UK pair are known for in their powerful live shows. Influenced by The Cure, New Order, The Sound and Ultravox, a must FFO contemporary bands á la She Past Away, Lebanon Hanover. Produced by Pieter Kloos (Motorpsycho), bringing a fresh sonic intensity to their work. 6-panel ecopak with booklet poster. |
RUNES ORDER - 'No Future' CD (Eighth Tower Records / Unexplained Sounds) - £12
First released as a cassette in 1993 (Ltd x 30 copies, Hate Prods), this work by Runes Order has become a forerunner, a precursor, as well as a musical (and beyond) reference point for many industrial works whose main pillar is post-apocalyptic themes. It puzzled even the most devoted followers of the Genoese project at the time - which had trodden the path of ritual industrial music, with a keen eye on ancestral past and pagan myths. Hypnotic and circular music had always been the hallmark of the sound born from Claudio Dondo's soul, but "No Future" was the first foray into music of a clearly cosmic origin. As a baptism of this new path, the concept chosen for the work was the nuclear nightmare (in the shadow of the just-concluded Cold War) - a theme that still terrifies, captured from a "day after" perspective. Like a camera wandering and rummaging through the rubble of a now-vanished civilization, the musical suites that compose "No Future" roam through smoky scenarios with a raw and intense crescendo. A cathartic exorcism that still reaffirms the enormous scope of its message. Ltd x 100 copies (CD proper) in a 6-panel digipak.

SKEPTICISM - 'Stormcrowfleet (30th Anniversary Edition)' 2 x LP BLACK (Svart Records) - £30
Skepticism's monumental 1995 debut remains a landmark of funeral doom - an album that defined both a sound and a legacy. This 30th anniversary edition of the classic has been newly mixed from the original tape reels by Anssi Kippo at Astia Studio under supervision of the band. "Stormcrowfleet was originally released on CD. Instead of taking the easiest route we wanted to make the vinyl version the best it can be. We bought the multi-track tapes at the end of the recording sessions back in the day and stored them for possible later use. This is not just a vinyl edition but a complete remix of the album from the original recordings. Nothing was added or changed. The mix was done at Astia-studio with high quality analogue equipment. In fact most of the equipment used did exist in 1995. What did not exist back in then was more than two decades of audio engineering tradition dedicated to processing extreme metal. In this process that tradition manifested in the form of Anssi Kippo - multiple award winning producer who handled the mixing in co-operation with the band members. In short, the target was not to do a different mix but one with the original vision for the album with better equipment and engineering". This edition features two bonus tracks from the 1994 demo cassette "Aeothe Kaear", cut directly from the original studio master tape, released on vinyl now for the first time ever. A milestone of doom metal history, expanded and reintroduced for a new generation. Presented in a gatefold sleeve, including a special anniversary edition booklet illustrating the making of the album. |
SKEPTICISM - 'Stormcrowfleet (30th Anniversary Edition)' 2 x LP AMBER / BLACK SMOKE (Svart Records) - £32
Limited colour 2LP edition of the above release. Amber / Black Smoke vinyl presented in a gatefold sleeve, including a special anniversary edition booklet illustrating the making of the album. |

VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Electric Dead Speak. Music Inspired By The Electronic Voice Phenomenon' CD (Eighth Tower Records / Unexplained Sounds) - £12
This compilation dedicated to the Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP) delves into one of the most fascinating and disturbing frontiers of sound and human perception. Across twelve tracks created by artists active in the post-industrial and dark ambient scene, the release investigates the mysterious intersections between technology, death, and the persistence of consciousness. EVP, documented since the 1950's, refers to the capture of inexplicable voices on magnetic tape or digital media, often interpreted as messages from the dead or transmissions from other dimensions. Whether one believes in their paranormal origin or considers them the by-product of noise and human projection, these sounds occupy a zone where the boundaries between science and mysticism, signal and hallucination, are erased. The artists involved translate that uncertainty into a dense fabric of drones, mechanical pulsations, spectral harmonics, and decomposed field recordings. The album functions as an aural séance; a shared act of listening where every sound could be a transmission from elsewhere. In a time when artificial intelligence and algorithmic processes increasingly mediate perception, EVP returns as a powerful metaphor for our relationship with the unknown; the desire to hear what is not meant to be heard. Features: RhaD, Yousef Kawar, Kokum, Sílení, Pnévmma, Mario Lino Stancati, Richard Bégin, Oubys, The Resa, Nerthus, Nikos Sotirelis, and Insectarium. Ltd x 150 copies (CD proper) in a 6-panel digipak.

VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'The Third Mind. A Sonic Tribute To The Dreamachine' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £12
The Dreamachine, conceived in 1959 by Brion Gysin in collaboration with the mathematician Ian Sommerville, was an experiment in expanded consciousness. A flickering cylinder of light designed to be viewed with closed eyes, it sought to induce visionary states, to dissolve the boundaries of perception, and to reveal the inner landscapes of the mind. Gysin regarded it as the first work of art meant to be seen with the eyes shut, turning vision inward rather than outward. It was around the aura of the Dreamachine that Gysin's creative alliance with William S. Burroughs deepened. Both artists shared an obsession with breaking down systems of control, linguistic, social, and perceptual. Gysin's discovery of the cut-up technique became one of Burroughs' most radical tools, just as Burroughs' prose amplified Gysin's explorations into altered states and the mechanics of thought. Together, they envisioned what they called The Third Mind: a new consciousness that could emerge from the fusion of two creative intelligences, transcending individuality and generating something other, stranger, and more powerful than either artist alone. Each track on his compilation seeks to channel the spirit of experimentation, psychedelia, and radical perception that defined their work, whether through hypnotic repetition, immersive soundscapes, or altered states of sonic awareness. What emerges is a collective attempt to listen through the ears of The Third Mind itself. Features: Dead Voices on Air, 400 Lonely Things, Rapoon, Browning Mummery, Mark Hjorthoy, Paolo L. Bandera, Mario Lino Stancati, Joel Gilardini, RhaD, Richard Bégin, Nikos Sotirelis, and Tescon Pol. Ltd x 200 copies (CD proper) in a 6-panel digipak.

400 LONELY THINGS - 'Subdivisions' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £12
What sets 400 Lonely Things apart is its ability to turn seemingly mundane or discarded sonic artifacts into evocative, almost cinematic experiences. The project's work resonates with fans of dark ambient, hauntology, and experimental sound design, offering a gateway into worlds where time has fractured and memories linger like spectral echoes. "Subdivisions", the latest album from 400 Lonely Things, marks a departure from the project's conceptual and thematic approaches of the past. For the first time, there is no overarching narrative, no predefined agenda, just music existing in its purest form. Each track functions like a memory of a memory, a fleeting impression untethered to any specific story or framework. These pieces are nebulous journal entries, capturing the essence of a time, a place, and a mood. 400 Lonely Things employs a variety of occasional instrumentation but primarily uses obscure sampling to weave mostly instrumental melodic collages of melancholic texture and psychedelic drone. These weathered, loop-based introspective forays border on hauntology, dark ambient, experimental, electronic, and plunderphonics. Ltd x 200 copies in a 6-panel matt digipak. Long sold out from the label (last copies from artist).

ASMUS TIETCHENS - 'Parergon' CD (Stille Andacht / Dark Vinyl) - £12
"Parergon" (Greek 'collection of small texts') is the sequel of the idea to continue to recycle recyclings of recyclings. That does not mean remixes or deconstructions but much more genuine compositions derived from already repeatedly recycled structures. In the future the new compositions, too, will be transformed by recycling into totally new music. This approach is in no case hermetic because no circular course happens: There is no way back to the beginning. With digital tools - but without chance operations - one can achieve treatments and processings which lead to a nearly endless multitude of aesthetic relevant compositions derived from once defined basic structures. In this connection 'sampling' is not of importance. The pieces of "Parergon" do not intend to provoke pictures or moods, but will give the listener simply something to listen to - it is up to him how he handles this offer. In consequence the pieces have no titles. Instead they have index data which point to certain series. "Parergon" has been composed in dark times, but at the best only the artwork reflects these conditions. The sounds themselves come from the vacuum. 6-panel digisleeve. |
BLACKHOUSE - 'Live In Leipzig' CD (Dark Vinyl) - £12

Contains tracks not on the vinyl version. 6-panel digisleeve. Tracks: The Blackhouse Hum / Five Minutes After I Die / Marsh Power Plant / Answers For You / Speaking In Tongues / #11 / Mercy Seat / The 2 Classes Of People / Pro-Life / Cheers Reign Down On Johnny / Be Good! / Whispers Of Love / Remember Who Took The Fall / Repent! / Totally Gone. |
BLACK VAULT - 'Hymns To The Great Devourer' CD (Dunkelheit Produktionen) - £12
Prepare to be devoured. Black Vault, a formation dedicated to pitch-black Ritual Industrial, present an album steeped in dark occult traditions and sinister antihumanism. This Danish act remains loyal to the virtues of the sub-genre while still maintaining a refreshing take. Minimalistic frequencies of necrophile Death Worship, gurgling demonic vocals and stylish percussive elements blend together in a Maelström of devotion and frenzy. Both the lyrics and the overall feel are a testimony to Black Vault's insights into the forbidden lore and practices shunned and condemned by the general public. "Hymns To The Great Devourer" delivers an atmosphere harking back to the 90's Scandinavian scene - nothing short of crushing. Mastered by Grant Richardson (Gnawed). Ltd x 200 hand-numbered copies. |
BRUTA NON CALCULANT - 'Instinct' CD (Dark Vinyl) - £12
German minimal synthpop from members of Le Syndicat Electronique, with a message: "Instinct leads animals all their lives. It is the same process for humans until their death. Belief that humans are superior to animals is an error. A human kills and procreates for survival... without conscious! He speaks about his rights or his free will, but in truth, he is a slave of his heredity. The results of his millennium of ignorance are: misery, war and suffering on earth. The human strikes his own nature to survive. The only one to kill and eat... is ourself, our heredity, our ignorance: our own "pig" inside. And the old religion and its heavy laws will die, naturally. INSTINCT will give away to intuition... and the return to our tradition will be possible. These words are for "les hommes de bonne volonté!". Comes in a 6-panel ecopak. |
GENDER TROUBLE - 'Chokehair' CD (Dark Vinyl) - £12
Gender Trouble is R. Loren (Pyramids / Sailors With Wax Wings / White Moth) and Faith Malimba (Black Doll), along with guest collaborators including Kenneth Parker and Ashley Scott Jones, and vocal spots by Marissa Nadler, and Scout Pare Phillips. "Chokehair explores the much ignored / maligned / ignored genre of Harsh Noise Wall through the prism of noise, techno, and the spectacle. Gender Trouble is static and synth and more static, waves and waves of static, and rejection of music and rejection of nihilism, but with a decent beat you can (but won't) dance to. Indebted equally to The Rita and Tiesto, I feel confident that if Little Richard was conceived in 1990, this is the music he'd be making today". 6-panel digisleeve. |
MEPHISTO WALZ - 'Rarities 1989' CD (Dark Vinyl) - £12
US deathrock pioneers Mephisto Walz were formed in 1986 by Barry Galvin (Bari-Bari) and John Schuman (Johann), following their departure from CHRISTIAN DEATH, which Bari-Bari had joined as bass guitarist while Rozz Williams was still vocalist. In 1988 Bari-Bari started working on new tracks with Steven Grey. David Hermon (bass), Mondo (vox) and Nariki Shimooka (guitar) completed the line-up. "Rarities 1989" is a selection of songs from their first EP, some of Bari-Bari's Christian Death material, plus some unreleased songs / versions, recorded live in the studio between 1988-1989 and remastered in 2018. Bari-Bari's musical style and distinct wall of chorus/delay-effected guitar sound makes Mephisto Walz instantly identifiable and unique amongst other pioneers of deathrock. 6-panel ecopak. |
NATURE AND ORGANISATION - 'Beauty Reaps The Blood Of Solitude' CD (Svart Records) - £12
Nature And Organisation is the creative musical nom de plume of iconic English artist, musician and composer Michael Cashmore. A mix of acoustic, classical and folk structures infused with abrasive electronic instrumentation, "Beauty Reaps The Blood Of Solitude" has been stated as "the greatest Neofolk album ever" over the years. Originally released on David Tibet's Durtro label in 1994, the album has received just one official CD reissue in the late 90's (Durtro) and a small vinyl edition on Trisol almost a decade ago, making it a much sought after release. With Nature And Organisation he utilised a mix of acoustic instruments, surreal sound collages, cut-up super 8mm film and tape loops to create a sound that would later be regarded as influential in the genre of post-industrial music. A haunting blend of baroque beauty and apocalyptic folk, featuring collaborations with David Tibet, Rose McDowall, Douglas P., Steven Stapleton, and more. The cult neofolk / classical opus "Beauty Reaps The Blood Of Solitude" has been painstakingly remastered and reissued for the ultimate listening experience. Presented in a digipak with lyric booklet, including all-new artwork by Cashmore himself. |

THE GREAT OLD ONES - 'Lands Of Azathoth' CD (Eighth Tower Records / Unexplained Sounds) - £12
Cinematic Dark Ambient from Raffaele Pezzella (Sonologyst); music to recreate the Lovecraftian universe of the Mythos. Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the centre of all infinity - the boundless daemon-sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time amidst the muffled, maddening beat of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes... H. P. Lovecraft. The Great Old Ones present "Lands of Azathoth" - an exploration into the unfathomable and chaotic core of Lovecraft's mythos. This third instalment, following the albums "Yog-Sothoth" (2022) and "The Mythos of Cthulhu" (2023), summons the enigmatic dread of Azathoth, the Blind Idiot God who lies at the heart of the cosmos. The music of The Great Old Ones is so profoundly lo-fi and shrouded in dense fog that each melodic line feels submerged, as if suspended in a gelatinous substance - trapped within an alien shell, unable to fully emerge or resonate in the ears of the listener, eternally encased in otherworldly isolation. It offers a unique vision steeped in Lovecraft's portrayal of the universe as a realm of endless chaos. 6-panel digipak. |
VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Solaris. Music Inspired By Andrei Tarkowsky's Movie' CD (Eighth Tower Records / Unexplained Sounds) - £12
Few films in the history of cinema have achieved the haunting, meditative power of Andrei Tarkovsky's Solaris (1972). This masterpiece of science fiction transcends the genre's typical preoccupation with technology and speculative futures, reaching instead into the depths of human consciousness, memory, and the aching poetry of the unknown. Solaris unfolds slowly, its deliberate pacing inviting viewers to sink into the vast silences and lingering imagery that define Tarkovsky's cinematic language. Long tracking shots through rain-soaked landscapes and the dim corridors of the space station evoke a sense of isolation and introspection. The film's visual and aural textures work in harmony, crafting an atmosphere where memory feels as palpable as the physical environment. This immersive quality is heightened by the sparse yet evocative electronic score by Eduard Artemyev, whose droning soundscapes and abstract compositions mirror the psychological disorientation experienced by the characters. This compilation is a tribute to Tarkovsky's vision, an attempt to translate the enigmatic beauty of Solaris into a sonic experience. Each track, like the planet's ocean, reflects fragments of memory and imagination, evoking both wonder and melancholy. The music contained here draws from the textures of ambient, drone, and experimental electronics, mirroring the film's hypnotic pacing and its exploration of the liminal spaces between waking and dreaming. In these compositions, you may hear the echoes of Kelvin's (the main character) sorrow, the undulating mystery of Solaris, and the endless dance between presence and absence. To immerse oneself in Solaris is to embark on a journey without easy answers. Likewise, this collection of music invites you to drift into the unknown, to embrace the mysteries that lie beneath the surface of sound, and to discover, perhaps, something of your own subconscious reflected back at you. Features: Psychophysicist (Adi Newton of Clock DVA / TAGC), 400 Lonely Things, Kloob. Mario Lino Stancati, Michael Bonaventure, Phoanøgramma, Yousef Kawar, Rauðvik, Sílení, Solaris, Mark Hjorthoy, and Zzoneman. Ltd x 200 copies in a 6-panel matt digipak.

ILLUSION OF SAFETY - 'Cancer' LP (Auf Abwegen) - £22
Vinyl reissue of Illusion Of Safety's 1991 CD (originally on Tesco Org). This was mostly a group effort focused on a dark ambient atmospheric environment and experimental minimalism that crawls under your skin. Mark Klein & Thymme Jones's heavy synth is omnipresent, Mitch Enderle & Chris Block scraping every piece of scrap metal they could find, Jim O'Rourke's extended piano and tabletop guitar is apparent, the abstract sampling techniques of founding member Daniel Burke appear throughout, and Thymme's beautiful solo minimalist piano composition closes the LP. Soundtrack like in its scope the album is another in the ongoing concept of music without a film providing a dark soundtrack to the nightmares or realities we wish we could forget. The original 1991 CD sequence has been edited down from the original 60-minute program (with its 31 indexes) to fit on an LP.
The 2025 edit and remaster removes the excess and hones the meat down to seven essential tracks that show the projects oeuvre at that point in their lengthy history sounding clear and fresh with the newly mastered version by Andrew Weathers. Ltd x 250 copies with full-colour insert. |
DIRK SERRIES - 'Zonal Disturbances III' CD (Zoharum) - £11.50
The third installment in Dirk Serries' (Fear Falls Burning, Vidna Obmana) "Zonal Disturbances" cycle. As with the previous chapter, he recorded material using electric guitar coupled with numerous effects. The four long compositions (ranging from 13-17 mins) further develop Dirk's direction, constructing his signature ambient style: organic, sombre, and eerie. The entire piece was also recorded live, in a single space, resulting in music that reveals the artist's penchant for minimalism and slow, repetitive sound clusters, thus drawing on his roots, deeply rooted in industrial and experimental music. After four decades in the scene, Dirk Serries continues to display his artistry in creating provocative, unique and genre-bending ambient music. He is a musical force to reckon with and to be finally rewarded for his wilful and unique voice in an ever increasing superficial music industry. Ltd x 300 copies in a 6-panel ecopak. |
VLADIMIR HIRSCH - 'Memories Of Mars' CD (Epidemie Records) - £11.50
A space-ambient / neoclassical album from Vladimir Hirsch (Skrol, Aghiatrias) inspired by Ray Bradbury's science fiction novel "Martian Chronicle". This work follows the literary model not only thematically, but also in the titles of the compositions and the sequence of selected chapters. The specific extraterrestrial nature of the musical expression is, both in terms of instrumentation, sound and melodic-harmonic, the result of the author's introspectively authentic rendition of the personal experience of the atmosphere and lyricism of the book fiction, including the use of his own imaginary Martian language. Features Vladimir Hirsch (electronics, keyboards, synthesizers, integrated technique), and Czech Integrated Ensemble (strings, wind, percussion), plus guest vocals by Nadya Feir, Dawn Carlyle, Lisa El and Martina Sanollova. Ltd x 150 copies in a 6-panel digipak. |
AUTUMN TEARS - 'Crown Of The Clairvoyant' CD (The Circle Music) - £12
AUTUMN TEARS - 'Crown Of The Clairvoyant' LP CLEAR / TURQUOISE MARBLED (The Circle Music) - £26
Like the slow cloaking of twilight over a forgotten cathedral, 'Crown Of The Clairvoyant' signals a transcendental reawakening for Autumn Tears. The album unfurls in movements both haunting and divine, carrying the listener into a realm where sorrow and splendour waltz as one. Orchestrated with exquisite precision and opulent depth, strings sweep like celestial tides, choirs rise like prayers from cloistered ruins, and woodwinds whisper secrets from lost mythologies. Rooted in the neoclassical tradition, the album weaves baroque intricacies with cinematic grandeur, crafting soundscapes that feel both sacred and boundless. Autumn Tears is an international act fusing modern classical music with elements of cinematic score and world music, layered with diverse male and female vocals. Featuring a fully orchestrated, rich classical ensemble and full choir, the massive musician and vocalist lineup includes composer / pianist / lyricist Ted Tringo, classical / opera duet and composers Caroline Joy Clarke and Darren Clarke (Trovatori), singer / songwriter Tamar Singer (Zeresh, Cruel Wonders, Necromishka), and violin/viola virtuoso Sanja Smileska, together with a huge ensemble of musicians and vocalists. Features a special guest appearance by Francesca Nicoli from Italian neoclassical band Ataraxia on two tracks. CD: jewelcase. LP:

FRANCESCO GIANNICO - 'The Dead End Road' CD (13 / Silentes) - £12
The road does not end: it abandons us, and in its abandonment it invites us to pause, listen, and wander within what cannot be possessed, only perceived. "The Dead End Road" is a journey along a road that leads nowhere, immersed in dark and suspended atmospheres - a path that leaves us alone with our listening. Through field recordings and electroacoustic textures, sounds emerge, dissolve, and recombine in restless spaces, between memory and presence. Each track is a fragment of an inner landscape: a place where silence is not absence but presence, and where the boundary between the real and the imaginary blurs. Francesco Giannico is an Italian electroacoustic composer and sound designer who deals with an almost obsessive attention to what is "soundscape". He has collaborated over the last two decades with the likes of Kim Cascone, Bruno Dorella, Fabio Orsi, Anacleto Vitolo, Matteo Uggeri, and Giulio Aldinucci. Ltd x 200 copies in a 6-panel digisleeve. |
MAKINA GIRGIR - 'Torment' CD (Other Voices Records) - £13
MAKINA GIRGIR - 'Torment' LP (Other Voices Records) - £23
A true classic of modern minimal synth, unavailable for more than a decade. Makina Girgir emerges from the shadows with a soundscape deeply rooted in the early 80's synth-pop and industrial scene. Drawing inspiration from pioneering acts like Cabaret Voltaire, Kraftwerk, Chris & Cosey, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Coil, Talk Talk, Severed Heads, their music is a rich homage to an era that reshaped electronic music. Yet, Makina Girgir doesn't merely replicate the past - they reinterpret it with a modern twist. The band's lyrics delve into profound and universal themes: the human soul, melancholy, the fragility of life, and the inevitability of death. They weave their narratives through the timeless words of literary giants such as Tolstoy, Gorky, Dostoevsky, and Tvardovsky, infusing the music with an intellectual depth. With the band's cold, spoken female vocals delivered in a haunting blend of French, English, and Russian, they paint an immersive, misty, and mysterious sonic world that is captivating and unsettling. Includes the long out of print "The Spell" 5-track EP and a new bonus intro track. CD: Ltd x 300 copies in a digipak. LP: Black vinyl in a full-colour sleeve with lyric sheet and a new bonus intro track. Ltd x 400 copies. |
ORDO CULTUM SERPENTIS - 'Derej Najash I & II' CD (Zazen Sounds) - £12
Ordo Cultum Serpentis (South Korea's Sang Ho Moon) is a Ritual Ambient / Funeral Doom / Black Metal project that, through a ritualistic, dense, raw, cavernous, and profoundly dark sound, seeks to create an atmosphere almost impossible to explain, describe, or even assimilate. It's not just about listening to it, but about experiencing it first-hand. The compositions are born from rituals performed using enochic language, where words linked to primordial entities such as the Dragon (Vovina), Death (Teloch), and Spirits (Gah) are invoked. These invocations intertwine with mantras, death whistles, and resonances extracted from human bones, forming a sonic act that borders on the forbidden. Once the ritual was consummated, the words and letters were erased and condemned to oblivion. Nothing was written. Nothing was meant to remain. The only vestige of those ceremonies are these recordings, sonic relics that forever sealed our order and our worship of the serpent's path. Gatefold digisleeve. Already sold out from the label! VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Sonic Planet' CD (Edition Degem) - £12
Selected and curated by lecturers, artists, musicians and researchers working on the The Sound Arts programme at the Bern Academy of the Arts (HKB), this CD pursues the creation of a plural Sonic Planet. With this aim, the compilation is dedicated to the sonic exploration of our planet - from natural soundscapes and urban rhythms to imaginary worlds created by technology. Conceptually it responds to current ecological, political and aesthetic crises and invites sonic imaginaries that reveal and generate alternative possibilities. The nine works selected by the jury all respond to the call for compositions that design a disorienting sonic planet: a sonic world that sounds the possibility of this world in its plurality and from the in between, making audible its invisibilities and even what we might not hear. In this sense composition becomes a worlding, a means to reveal and make accessible the plural possibilities of this world. Putting into doubt the certainty of a singular, cartographic scheme and certain vista, revealing instead the richness of the world beyond its (border) lines and Cartesian perspective. The compilation includes electroacoustic pieces by: Dorothee Schabert, Denise Ritter, Leon Goltermann, Jutta Ravenna, Claudia Robles-Angel, Sabine Schäfer, Gerald Fiebig, Hiromi Ishii and Sibylle Pomorin. Curated by Lejla Carrasco, Michael Harenberg, Benoit Piccand, Tobias Marco Rüetschi, Cathy van Eck and Salome Voegelin. Design and production by Marc Behrens. Digipak with 20-page booklet in German and English. |
