| NEW COLD SPRING RELEASES |
SUN RA | MERZBOW - 'Strange City'
2CD £12.50 Adv - OUT 26th JUNE

Officially licensed from Irwin Chusid of the SUN RA estate, Cold Spring negotiated rare and unreleased tracks from the SUN RA archive to be remixed and treated by Masami Akita (MERZBOW). The tracks incorporate the jazz power of SUN RA, carried into brutal excess by the legendary Japanese noise artist, MERZBOW.
Originally released by Cold Spring a decade ago and long sold out, the music was spread across vinyl and CD, with completely different music on each format. The tracks are now collected together here for the first time, from the original masters and presented in the order originally intended (the vinyl format dictated the order due to optimal sound quality restraints).
"The constant and destructive waves of noise make this decisively a Merzbow record, but its cosmic mood and rhythms prove that Sun Ra lives in its DNA" (Pitchfork)
Also included (for the first time on any release) is the bonus two minute track 'Granular Jazz Part 5', a special composition created for the Stuart Maconie's "Freak Zone" (BBC Radio 6), which was only broadcast once, ahead of Merzbow's show at Manchester's legendary FAC251, September 2016.
• 2CD with expanded artwork in a 8-panel double digipak - comes with an 8-page booklet featuring a new essay by Gydja. Orders from Cold Spring come with 2 free stickers (one Merzbow, one Sun Ra).

VA - 'Salò or The 120 Days Of Sodom' -
CD £11 - OUT NOW! | T-Shirt £18 - OUT NOW! | LP BROWN - OUT TOMORROW!

The first time on any format for Pier Paolo Pasolini's controversial 1975 vision of the Marquis De Sade's 120 Days Of Sodom, featuring beautiful and discordant classical compositions, in stark contrast to the shocking and cruel events unfolding onscreen.
Three weeks before the scandalous release of "Salò, or The 120 Days Of Sodom", Pasolini was brutally murdered in Ostia, Italy. In the wake of the tragedy, legendary composer Ennio Morricone wrote 'Addio a Pier Paolo Pasolini' (Goodbye to Pier Paolo Pasolini) for the late filmmaker, included in the final edit.
Following the narrative of one of Pasolini's defining cinematic moments, the soundtrack opens with Ennio Morricone's "Son Tanto Triste", descends into the melancholic minor chords of Bach, Chopin, Orff, Puccini, and Graziosi, incorporates sinister renditions by the cast, and includes Morricone's own sombre tribute to the director.
Disgusted by the flood of crass sexploitation movies which filled the space opened up by his "Trilogy Of Life", Pasolini turned to the most nihilistic thinker in European history for what became his final film. His version of De Sade's 120 Days Of Sodom, amplified with motifs from Dante's Inferno, confronts the ultimate implications of fascism in a series of sexual and moral atrocities. "The only true anarchy is power".
The CD was released on Friday 13th February 2026, exactly 249 years since the Marquis de Sade was arrested and imprisoned in the dungeon of the Vincennes fortress for charges of "debauchery and immoderate libertinage" that scandalised his contemporaries.

Z'EV - 'Schönste Muziek'
CD £11 - OUT NOW!

Early hallucinatory ritual percussion works from the much-missed rhythmajik master Z'EV, with his 1983 Berlin Atonal performance as a bonus track (first time on any format since the original split LP with Psychic TV).
This legendary album by Industrial pioneer Z'EV was originally released in 1986 (LP, Dossier), now finally available with the state-of-the-art remastering it deserves.
Also included is the bonus 20 minute track 'Titan Night', recorded at Berlin Atonal in December 1983, now available here for the first time on any format since the original 1984 split LP with Psychic TV (who performed their iconic set at the same event). Z'EV performed on all-steel, custom-made percussion instruments, designed to activate the acoustics of the space.
"Each track finds Z'EV creating moody and atmospheric percussion based compositions. If you're familiar with Z'EV's work you'd say these tracks are a bit more primal, stripped back, and unmanipulated. Each track takes in a set pattern of percussive elements, which he investigates over the tracks length, and these move from forceful battering onto more moody drifts, and in between the two... a worthy work from this most respected and unequalled artist" (Musique Machine).
• CD in matt digipak, with all artwork remaining true to Z'EV's original concepts.

TREPANERINGSRITUALEN - 'Perfection & Permanence'
'MOSS GREEN' LP £23 | T-SHIRT £18 - OUT NOW!

2026 edition of the lauded 2014 T × R × P album.
Trepaneringsritualen explores themes of religion, magick and the hidden realms of consciousness, taking its musical cues from the old school of ritual ambient & death industrial. Rhythmic and seething at times, and oozing forward with a creeping sense of desolation at others, Trepaneringsritualen conjures forth bleak but mesmerizing visions of the end-times.
"Perfection & Permanence": a hymn to Isis; a further exploration of the duality of the holy harlot, the black skinned Magdalen, mother and concert of the Christ; Yeshua Ben Yosef, son of MAN; the shameful dead, those who sold their brothers, condemned to forever roam the earth; to transgress the abyss, to mortify flesh, towards cosmic renovation. It is lonely, it is awful; on the verge of physical death, but still unable to understand; absolute perfection may be attained through WILL.
A conversation with angels, in archaic tongues; EirÍkr inn Sigrsæli sold his blood and kin to desert rats for corporeal power. EirÍkr, we spit on you; from across the abyss, it rises. Ceaseless, blood-churning, terrible; an incoherent accusation by the mirror image, he who's blood was shed to atone another man’s sins. Without bloodshed there can be no salvation.

DEREK JARMAN - 'Through The Billboard Promised Land Without Ever Stopping'
LP £23 OUT NOW!

Written in 1971 and read here by the author himself "Through the Billboard Promised Land Without Ever Stopping" is Derek Jarman's only known work of narrative fiction.
Providing a prelude to some of the imagery Derek Jarman would use later in his career, particularly the alchemical dreamscapes in the film "Blue", it is a surreal, hallucinatory fairytale, signposted with elements of modernity, that has much of the mythic and archetypal about it.
With tantalising autobiographical details and a panoply of chromatic landscapes and psychosexual symbols, this richly poetic story details a journey with no destination or purpose across a mythical America, undertaken by the young blind King Amethyst and his valet John.
Previously only ever released on cassette (2022, Prototype Publishing, Ltd 80), this vinyl edition features facsimile images of the story's handwritten drafts from Jarman's archive and photos by the artist Michael Ginsborg, a close friend of Jarman's throughout the period of the story's writing.
• Ltd x 500 copies on heavyweight 180gm black vinyl in gloss sleeve. |
ONE LEG ONE EYE - '...And Take The Black Worm With Me'
CD £11.50 - OUT NOW!

As a founding member of Dublin experimental folk group LANKUM, Ian Lynch explores submerged leylines of music and song. His solo project ONE LEG ONE EYE sees him taking a fresh approach to musical arrangement culminating in a sound that is more rooted in the raw aesthetics of second wave black metal than contemporary folk.
Over the course of a year, Ian Lynch enjoyed the freedom of experimenting and exploring different paths of sound design without expectation or pressure. Seeking out interesting settings to record music and gather field recordings, the essence of which have seeped into the spirit of the music, Lynch explores rediscovered spaces in Dublin and familiar interior spaces. He frequently visited the abandoned warehouse where his father worked and sang with his shruti box, contented in his solitude.
The result is a distinct and sometimes harrowing drone-folk atmosphere conjured throughout the album's lengthy and enveloping compositions, with an eerily beautiful, immersive sadness resonating throughout.
"An immersive world of created sounds and raw, resonant singing... dazzling sounds... gorgeousness and menace... lyrics carrying oceans of sadness" (5/5, The Guardian)
Features Ian Lynch on hurdy gurdy, uilleann pipes, synth, vocals, shruti box, concertina, guitar, found sounds, and tape, with guests: Laurie Sue Shanaman (Ails, Ludicra) on vocals, and Ruth Clinton (Landless, Poor Creature) on church organ.
Only available on a one-time, long sold out CD pressing in Ireland (Nyahh Records, 2022), we now present this incredible album with an exclusive bonus track 'Sympathetic Invertebrate Ritual', recorded especially for this edition.
• CD in matt-laminate digipak with updated artwork. • EUROPEAN TOUR with Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

ARGYRE PLANITIA - 'Ediacara' CD (Winter-Light) - £11.50
"Argyre Planitia (Stefan Voß) has crafted dark ambient pieces in his own uniquely immersive style. Deep drones, subtle sonic artefacts, and brooding atmospherics guide the listener through a sound world that reaches back millions of years - a meditation on the shifting, ancient landscapes of our ever-changing planet" (Dark Entries). Welcome to a harsh, unyielding world that distant descendants will someday name Earth. A place where planetary conditions swing between hellish inferno and deep freeze. A harsh and inhospitable sphere: its air unfit to breathe, its newborn continents raw and lifeless, its oceans home only to tiny microbial pioneers. In ages still to come, the planet will be plunged into a global ice age; a freeze so complete it will seem like the end of all possibilities and yet it will become the spark that opens the way for more complex life. It sounds impossible that such a hostile and alien world could someday cradle forests, animals, civilisations, and dreams. And yet, this strange planet - once utterly unrecognisable, will become the place we now know as home. Mastered by Ronald Mariën (Stratosphere). Ltd x 300 copies in a 6-panel digisleeve. |
BROODDARK - 'Deliro' CD (Winter-Light) - £11.50
Across ten tracks, "Deliro" weaves a richly textured soundscape of distorted sonics and provocative blackened, isolationist ambient. Brooddark crafts a broad auditory tapestry that guides listeners through stark, minimal landscapes - sometimes harsh yet intricately detailed. Pulsing rhythms and emotive layers intertwine, evoking inner reflection and stirring deep memories. This album challenges the senses and invites you to explore the delicate balance between desolation and beauty. "Within the shadows of reason, memory whispers its forgotten truths". "Whether it's deep rumbling drones, synth-laden pieces or massive cosmic soundscapes, each track is marvellously efficient at depicting a different time, space, scale and mood, while staying 100% coherent and on point throughout... [a] free-flowing and daring compositional approach that doesn't fret from casting its net well beyond the usual dark ambient waters to get the right ingredient for the track every time" (For The Innermost). Ltd x 200 copies in a 6-panel digisleeve. |
CAPRICORNI PNEUMATICI - 'Vala, Or The Four Zoas' CD (Eighth Tower / Unexplained Sounds) - £12
Originally released on cassette in 1989, "Vala, Or The Four Zoas" emerged during a period of intense creative activity for Capricorni Pneumatici, only a few weeks after the recording sessions of "IX-TAB" and in parallel with the development of "Nibbas". The genesis of the album revolves around the exploration of timbres capable of autonomous evolution, such as the DX7's bi-harmonic sound, whose layered harmonics unfold over time, creating suspended zones and dreamlike, meditative dimensions. Alongside FM synthesis, the album incorporates field recordings, concrete sounds, acoustic fragments, tape overdubs, environmental interferences, and metallic percussion. Other moments, built entirely from environmental recordings processed through a Revox A77 used as a delay device, move toward a sparse, almost ascetic form of musique concréte. The reference to William Blake, evoked by the title, does not directly influence the sonic construction of the album, but emerges as an ideal lens through which to interpret the ritualistic, shamanic, and hallucinatory character of the work, offering an additional key to understanding one of Capricorni Pneumatici's most enigmatic and layered albums. Ltd x 150 copies in a matt-laminate 6-panel digipak.

CONTAGIOUS ORGASM - 'Penetration Rate' Cassette (SSSM) - £10
Active since 1987, Japan's Contagious Orgasm (Hiroshi Hashimoto) intersects many diverse areas of experimental electronic music, including noise, industrial, rhythmic noise, and ambient. With the brand new album "Penetration Rate", the artist invites you to imagine you're watching an obscure, unsettling arthouse or experimental film. The visuals are fragmented, grotesque, dreamlike: industrial decay, flickering shadows, close-ups of twitching flesh or machinery merging with bodies, sudden bursts of abstract violence or erotic tension without clear narrative. There's no traditional orchestral score. Instead, the sound design is overwhelming, invasive layers of distant mechanical hums, distorted field recordings of rain on metal, warped voices whispering in reverse, rhythmic pulses that feel like a heartbeat gone wrong, and sudden spikes of white-noise ecstasy or agony. That sonic landscape is exactly what Contagious Orgasm naturally evokes and could perfectly serve as the unofficial or imagined soundtrack for such a film. Limited edition tape with j-card sleeve, clear cassette shell, mini artcard and download card. |
ELECTRONICDEATHBLACKDOGS - 'The Bornless One' CD (Winter-Light) - £11.50
Crafted by Roddy Graham from out of the Scottish Borderlands, ElectronicDeathBlackDogs' new album, "The Bornless One" draws deeply from Gnostic mysticism, inviting listeners on a journey into the solitude of nature. Through deep meditation and profound insight, it encourages a dialogue with your inner daemon or holy guardian angel; whichever spirit your soul embraces. This album weaves dark ambient soundscapes, offering an immersive escape into shadowy dreams. "It is a soundscape about loneliness, about the desolation of vast stretches of nature where the two-legged creature unequivocally encounters himself. It is a mystical-sounding journey, rooted in the Gnostic mysticism for which Graham shows a preference" (Luminous Dash). Mastered by Robin Storey (Rapoon). Ltd x 200 copies in a 6-panel digisleeve, with graphic design by Abby Helasdottir (Gydja). |
ENRICO CONIGLIO - 'The Sirens Of Titan' CD (Dronarivm) - £16
Enrico Coniglio's (Open To The Sea, Aqua Dorsa, Up To 23 etc) highly anticipated (and highly recommended!) album, "The Sirens Of Titan", presented in a deluxe package. Its title pays homage to the renowned novel by Kurt Vonnegut, inviting listeners on a journey filled with guitar tapestries and space oddities. Enrico Coniglio's personal approach to ambient music promises to transport audiences to uncharted realms of delicate emotions. In "The Sirens Of Titan", Coniglio masterfully crafts yet another captivating instalment on his musical path, delving deeper into the evocative world of melancholic soundscapes and expanding the horizons of his sonic exploration. Ltd x 150 hand-numbered copies in a 6-panel 'soft touch' digisleeve, which also contains 8 original drawings by Alina Lutaeva (based on scenes from the novel and created specifically for this release), printed on tracing paper - all housed in a hand-stamped black cardboard slipcase. Already sold out from the label - ACT FAST! |
GYDJA - 'Níu Kom Ek Heima Fyr Niflhel Neðan' CD (Winter-Light) - £11.50
Gydja returns with the brand new full-length album, "Níu Kom Ek Heima Fyr Niflhel Neðan". This album brings to a close the trilogy that began with "Ar Var Alda"; a work steeped in the cosmic genesis of the primordial void, Ginnungagap - and continued with "þjóðáar Fnæstu Eitri", which delved into the eleven-fold river Élivágar. In this final instalment, she shifts focus to the nine worlds permeated by those venomous streams. The album's title is drawn from the poem Vafþrúðnismál, where the giant Vafþrúðnir recounts his descent into the underworld, encountering nine realms or homes beneath the dominion of Niflhel. The imagery of nine underworld realms evokes a chthonic reflection of Norse cosmology; a nightside simulacrum similar to the way in which the qlippoth darkly mirrors the sephiroth in Kabbalistic mysticism. Listeners are invited to immerse themselves in intricately crafted tracks, layered with meticulous detail and vast, immersive soundscapes. The final production is polished off with a gilded sheen, achieved through the mastering techniques of the highly acclaimed Robin Storey (Rapoon). Ltd x 200 copies in a 6-panel digisleeve with graphic design by Abby Helasdottir. |
MIKE LAZAREV - 'Tarnished Tapes And Saturated Signals' CD (Dronarivm) - £11.50
"Mike Lazarev follows up 2023's 'Sacred Tonalities' with 'Tarnished Tapes And Saturated Signals', a record that drifts through memory, texture and time. Built around degraded analogue recordings and a lo-fi aesthetic, each track feels like a half-erased recollection - familiar but warped, like an old cassette tape left to melt in a sunbaked car. This is music shaped by absence as much as presence: crackling ambience, distant piano, and ghosted melodies that flicker at the edge of recognition. Lazarev weaves elements of deconstructed electronica, cinematic soundscapes and modern classical into a deeply emotive, slow-fading whole. The result is a series of compositions that evoke the disintegration of memory, the passing of time, and the fragile clarity that sometimes pierces the fog of nostalgia. 'Tarnished Tapes And Saturated Signals' offers a space to reflect - on the rave long since ended, the roads we no longer travel, and the signal that lingers in the static. A resonant work of reduction and decay" (Norman Recs). Ltd x 150 copies in a discbox slider, with soft touch finish. |
O[RLAWREN] - 'Poesis' CD (Dronarivm) - £11.50
Active for over two decades in the electronic music scene, Scottish based sound artist and electroacoustic musician o[rlawren] has developed a distinctive and intuitive approach to emotional and intimate details that unfold in his numerous constructions. Extending a valuable collaborative aesthetic, "Poiesis" is a continuation in the artist's ongoing research into modular synthesis and field recordings, informed by and in collaboration with the works "We wander in circles through the night and are consumed by fire" and "Physis" by Portuguese photographer Carina Martins and the author Rui Ibañez Matoso. The music itself is a very melodic, bubbling, soft and gentle sound, very visceral. "The desire to approach nature itself is reflected in the act of photographing, seen as a possibility of diving into the fragile complexity of the interdependence of life and, consequently, into the immanence of an aesthetic anchored in the ecological dimension of artistic consciousness. This is also the subtle energy that emerges from these images, like someone who takes the opposite path of light to contemplate a sovereign existence in the trees. Carina Martins' photography favours a digression of the senses beyond the immediately visible and leads us to a certain geography of shadows, night and gloom" (R. I. Matoso). Ltd x 150 copies in a 6-panel 'soft touch' digisleeve, with 10-page foldout Leporello-style booklet including extensive liner notes and photos. |
O[RLAWREN] - 'The Intimate Overlap' CD (Dronarivm) - £11.50
The second of two simultaneous releases, with "Poesis" above. Working with field recordings, acousmatic and modular synthesis techniques, "The Intimate Overlap" is presented in a suite of two parts - "a structure in naming" and "a nearness to the world" - over four longform pieces covering the album's 73 minute running time. Created over a nine year period as a delicate micro-drama of shifting proximities, each holding onto their roots, folding, seeking nutrients, learning and unlearning. An ecological relationship with micro sounds that are at once ecstatic, animated, tentative and visceral. A neurodivergent yearning for new ways to connect, articulate and circulate. An ecology of the senses in a music used as language. o[rlawren] with guests: Aaron Martin (cello), Cyril Secq (charango), Katie English (flute), and Claire Whyte (vocals). Ltd x 150 copies in a 6-panel 'soft touch' digisleeve.

RAPOON - 'Grain Of Light' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £12
Robin Storey's journey through sound is inseparable from the evolution of post-industrial and experimental ambient music itself. As a founding member of the seminal collective Zoviet France, formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1979, Storey helped shape a new sonic vocabulary that blended ritual abstraction, primitive sampling, and immersive atmospheres. When Storey launched his solo project Rapoon in 1992, he distilled that experimental spirit into a more introspective and hypnotic form, drawing upon non-Western rhythmic patterns and the cyclical pulse of memory. Rapoon has become synonymous with a particular kind of ethno-ambient classicism, exploring the borderlands between archaeology and imagination. With "Grain of Light", Storey continues this long meditation on time and transcendence. Deeply influenced by Eastern music, the album reaches sandy and swampy depths that could have emerged from Jon Hassell's own scorebook, yet it remains unmistakably Rapoon - a music that evokes both ritual and dream, memory and mirage. Ltd x 150 copies in a matt-laminate 6-panel digipak. |
RHAD - 'Ghost Music Library' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £12
With "Ghost Music Library" RhaD (Research of Historical Audio Documents) further explores the margins between archival research, improvisation, and sonic abstraction. Created by Italian sound artist Raffaele Pezzella (SONOLOGYST), RhaD represents a more instinctive and unrestrained counterpart to his usual conceptual rigor. Here, the music unfolds as a collage of forgotten tapes, malfunctioning devices, magnetic dust, and digital errors transformed into expressive language. The album's title evokes the spirit of the electronic library music of the 1970's, yet this is no pastiche. Instead, "Ghost Music Library" functions as an imaginary archive, a parallel memory of sounds that might have existed, an archaeology of lost futures. Between the hum of analogue circuits and the glitches of obsolete media, RhaD constructs a nostalgic yet radical sound world, where experimental freedom meets the melancholy of vanished existences. It is a tribute to imperfection and to the beauty of the unrepeatable moment, a library of the unresolved and the ephemeral. Ltd x 100 copies in a matt-laminate 6-panel digipak. |
SION ORGON - 'Discord In Disorder' CD (Lumberton Trading Co / Fourth Dimension) - £11.50
The new album from Welsh soundsmith Siôn Orgon, known as both a producer and frequent collaborator with fellow sonic traveller Thighpaulsandra (and previously Coil). This work catches Siôn doing something different to his usual melding of avant-rock/pop and abstract electronics... the 14 electroacoustic compositions delve into the intricate relationship between discord and disorder through innovative sonic exploration. Utilising a diverse palette of sound sources including radio, treated piano, violin, voice, saxophone and percussion, Orgon crafts compositions that embody both discord and harmony. Each piece presents a dynamic landscape characterised by sudden ends and the deliberate use of distortion, inviting listeners to navigate the tensions between duality and unity. The incorporation of rubbed cymbals and treated trumpet creates an ethereal quality, enhanced by the layers of angelic choral voices that rise and fall throughout the pieces. The structure of these works allows for a vertical ascent in sound before an abrupt cessation, prompting a meditation on dissonance and its inherent beauty. The compositions hopefully challenge the listener's perception of sonic aesthetics but also facilitate a calm reaction to the chaotic interplay of sound. Ltd x 300 copies in a digipak. |
TALST - 'Sewn Into The Infinite Sky' CD (Winter-Light) - £11.50
Talst brings his own distinctive take on dark ambience. On "Sewn Into The Infinite Sky", Rob Meldrum presents six expansive compositions; longer and more immersive than those on his debut release, "Celestial Displacement". While still rooted in blackened ambience, this new material leans further into deep drones and horror-tinged, long-form passages, deployed to chilling effect throughout the release. A must for lovers of horror-infused science-fiction soundtracks. "Talst's music is quite minimalist, yet very atmospheric and immersive drone dark ambient. The slowly evolving deep drones create a sort of hypnotic or trance-inducing effect on the listener. The tracks sound incredibly ominous, but my favourite is the longest one, 'Intertwine', with its crackling sounds interwoven among the drones" (Dark Entries). Mastered by Ronald Mariëën (Stratosphere). Ltd x 300 copies in a 6-panel digisleeve. |
THE FIELDS OF HAY - 'A Circle Of Skin' CD (Fourth Dimension) - £11.50
Almost 20 years after the debut "Songs For Nine Ladies", The Fields Of Hay (Stuart Carter of Theme, Splintered, Heroin) presents "A Circle of Skin". This album continues his exploration of the twilight zone with a combination of light and dark shading, crepuscular atmospherics, contemporary psychedelic fug, immersive strums and that feeling of abandonment one attains as they sink back into a disorientating chasm of their own making. "A Circle Of Skin" is music to give solace during the dark autumn evenings. Creating images and patterns of comfort to deflect from the hallucinogenic disorientations of reality. As ever with these things, there are always demons and spirits lurking within the shadows, showing us with a sharpened realisation to be mindful, as things can always get worse. These are the murky undercurrents of a world that keeps us alive and moving forward. The sounds present are at once both organic and synthesised, improvised and yet organised, soothing and unsettling, dark yet uplifting, cosmic and spaced but at the same time earthy and grounded. Reissue of a limited edition 12" lathe-cut on Stuart's own Idioblast imprint (2024). Three lengthy tracks (43 mins), with the track 'Unheilige Magie' finally presented as one complete piece. Ltd x 200 copies in a digipak. |
THE GREEN KINGDOM - 'Ether Hymns' LP (Dronarivm) - £20
Under The Green Kingdom moniker, Detroit's Mike Cottone produces minimal ambient music using a variety of digitally-manipulated sounds sourced from a variety of acoustic and electronic instruments. This is a beautiful album of shimmering textures, quiet melodies, and slowly decaying notes. "Ether, in the literary sense, can be defined as 'the clear sky; the upper regions of air beyond the clouds', or more informally as 'air regarded as a medium for radio'. Music, as well as the inspiration for it, are ephemeral in nature. In making this album, I often thought about the manner in which the sounds and patterns that form a piece of music are brought in to existence from nothingness. They drift into the listener's space, evolve over time, and drift off like clouds on the wind". Ltd x 100 copies only! |
TREPANERINGSRITUALEN - 'Diadem Of Fire' 3" CD (Ant-Zen / Raubbau) - £15
T × R × P presents an immersive work of rare intensity; a pagan assault on the senses rooted in magick and the occult. Tribal rhythms, clattering metal percussion, and guttural invocations coalesce into bleak apocalyptic dirges, evoking both the menace of death industrial and the ferocity of Scandinavian black metal. Oppressive yet magnetic, it becomes a transformative encounter with darkness - an uncompromising vision of depth, menace, and spiritual intensity. A DIADEM OF FIRE sings of the absolute light that slithers through the tears of the veil. It calls to those who are beyond tomb and womb. It is the holy holy howls of ecstasy. The totem is the heart of union, where corporeal and incorporeal may commune. WITH HAND AND HEART: an anti-nomian rant, a battle-cry, and a heretic hymn to he of the internal flame. We hail his sons and daughters, who - in the sign of fire - shall storm heaven-bound to slay the archon of three names. Mastering by Linus Andersson. Presented in a beautiful sealed pack containing: 3" CD, printed cardboard sleeve, and a set of 8 artcards with artwork throughout by nullvoid. Already sold out from both labels - ACT FAST! |
VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Anthology Of Electroacoustic Music From Portugal' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £12
This new chapter of the Sound Mapping series focuses on Portugal, tracing a cartography of contemporary electroacoustic practices, with a constellation of approaches that oscillate between abstract electronics, music directly influenced by Iberian tradition, ritualistic impulses, and slow-moving electroacoustic drone. What emerges is a porous sonic territory shaped by memory, landscape, and experimentation. Portugal's electroacoustic underground has developed along singular lines, absorbing influences from traditional rhythms, coastal geographies, and a long-standing dialogue between isolation and openness. In these works, electronic sound often remains connected to corporeal and material references. Pulses evoke archaic dances and percussive ceremonies rooted in Iberian heritage, while drones stretch time into meditative or suspended states, recalling sacred spaces and raw natural environments. An immersive journey through 13 compositions that explore the tension between the ancestral and the synthetic; a shifting terrain where electronics, Iberian tradition, ritual memory, and abstraction converge. Features: Vitor Joaquim, Margarida Garcia, HHY & The Macumbas, Haarvöl, Manuel Mota, David Maranha, Alfredo Costa Monteiro, @c, Ana Durana, Reixelo, João Alegria, BVHZ, and NIN-FAE. Ltd x 100 copies in a matt-laminate 6-panel digipak. |

Ancient tribes and civilisations such as The Dogon, The Egyptians and the Sumerians to name a few, claim to have had contact with extraterrestrials from the Sirius star system (Sirius A, B & C) anywhere from 5,000-10,000 years ago. These ancient civilisations obtained advanced and extensive knowledge on the occult, physics, astronomy, mathematics etc without any modern technology, this knowledge was mostly likely given to them by extraterrestrials. The Dogon claim that they have a secret portal that directly connects them to the Sirius star system where they also describe that it is the place where many departed souls dwell. These 10 deep tracks from New York's Ajna evoke the mystery of how humans have contacted and/or have been contacted by otherworldly entities since the dawn of time. "Quintessential electroacoustic and cinematic ambient music... heavy on synth-based drones, with rattling elements and processed random noise spectra... long-held notes ultimately dominate, exhibiting many textures and tones, all dark and haunting... cosmic in nature, but with a lingering sense of danger" (Avant Music News). Ltd x 300 copies in a gatefold digisleeve. |
ONASANDER - 'Dawn Metrics' CD (Winter-Light) - £11.50
A wonderful studio album by Italy's Onadander (Maurizio Landini), known for a wealth of excellent collaborations with Alphaxone, Empusae, Nimh, Ajna, Kloob, Gydja, and more. In remote and boundless galaxies, entire generations of Cantors have declaimed the heroic deeds of alien military castes with armour that reflected the light of unknown star dawns. Expect deep drones, crisp tech-edges and boundless dark space ambience. "A release that seems deeply inspired by fantasy and dystopian worlds. This vision is masterfully translated into dense, low-frequency vibrations that slowly build an ominous atmosphere. Buzzing waves and layered textures further intensify the tension, shaping a soundscape that feels tormented and immersive. The result is pure Dark Ambient - deeply restrained yet profoundly evocative. This masterpiece culminates in an apocalyptic experience, leaving a lasting impression. Onasander stands among the most striking projects in its genre to emerge in recent years." (Side-Line). Mastered by Ronald Mariën (Stratosphere). Ltd x 300 copies in a 6-panel digisleeve with artwork by Patricia Schoonenberg. |
RAPOON - 'Ten Four: Centred Horizons' CD (Winter-Light) - £11.50
2022 marked the 30th anniversary of Rapoon, the solo project of Robin Storey (Reformed Faction, Old Castle, ex-Zoviet France). On "Ten Four: Centred Horizons" Robin has created four ambient pieces, each one ten minutes in length. The resulting tracks are a mix of long form drones and processed sounds blended with Robin's signature ethnic instruments and percussive elements. Whilst each piece stands alone in its own right, a common thread and feel that is ever present in each track, draws them together as a whole, setting the listener adrift... The ghost line between sea and sky... falling sideways. Ltd x 300 copies in a gatefold digisleeve with artwork by Robin Storey. |

MERZBOW - 'Paulownia' CD (Sun & Moon Records) - £12
The brand new album by the king of Japanese noise! "Paulownia" is a full-length statement comprising two lengthy compositions that fuse intense electronic manipulation with Merzbow's enduring fascination for natural phenomena. Across both pieces, the album merges organic inspiration and harsh digital process, producing a hypnotic yet confrontational experience. The album's name, drawn from the paulownia tree, hints at Masami Akita's long-standing environmental preoccupations; here, they are rendered less as representational themes and more as evocative textures and forms. The compositions surge with layered feedback, haunting drones, and micro-rhythmic fluctuations, evoking an ambiguous, immersive environment that rewards attentive listening.
What distinguishes "Paulownia" is its ability to generate tension and release from the interplay between ferocity and fragility. The music neither settles into a predictable assault nor dissipates into formless ambience; instead, it sustains a meticulously sculpted intensity. As always, Merzbow's commitment to tonality, texture, and structure resists easy classification, maintaining a delicate balance between repetition and change, aggression and atmosphere. Ltd x 360 copies in a digipak. |
FABIO ORSI - 'In The Quiet Of A Short Winter, Every Hidden Thing Finds A Voice Sharper Than Memory' LP WHITE (13 / Silentes) - £28
Six touching tracks that, starting from quiet ambient atmospheres, initially soft, tenuous, and crepuscular, gradually seem to soar... ascending towards celestial spaces, revealing ever-wider and brighter landscapes below, ever-more distant horizons, ever-more infinite spaces. Highly evocative progressions, guided by sober and delicate melodies and driving, pulsating bass lines, wonderfully deep (best enjoyed with a good stereo system to truly appreciate them) - the kind that make your stomach churn before you even perceive the exact frequency and harmonic progression, often "set" in sober rhythmic patterns that mark the time, making a sonic journey even more dynamic and compelling.
If it doesn't surprise you, it's probably only because you've already had the opportunity to explore and plumb Fabio Orsi's most recent discography, and are already accustomed to the best of what this new wave of distinctly electronic but ambient-inspired music has to offer.
Ltd x 100 copies on white vinyl with two artcards (one hand-numbered), and a full-size insert including download code and featuring liner notes by Giulia Dal Vecchio (Hiseka). |

THO-SO-AA - 'Epoch Part One' CD (Loki Foundation) - £11.50
Originally released in 1996 (Art Konkret), the debut album by THO-SO-AA returns as a monolithic statement of deep and stoic ambient music. Drones bloom slowly with geological patience, framed by distant echoes and a faint, tape-like patina that gives the music an archaic, almost fossilized quality. Where contemporaneous ambient often leaned toward glacial panoramas of wind and water, "Epoch" feels more subterranean: mineral, patiently stratified, and ritualistic in its insistence on gravity and duration. It keeps the listener underground and inward while the palette of sounds is darker, thicker and more concentrated - closer to an archaic purity than a landscape portrait. The album stands up unusually well across decades. Its focus on texture, space and strict restraint makes it feel neither dated nor derivative; instead it reads like a precise study - a short manual on using silence and low end to summon presence. Thirty years after release, "Epoch" still matches the standards of deep ambient because its craft is functional: every sound serves the whole. In that sense the record belongs with the lineage of late-90's ambient that traded novelty for depth, and it rewards repeated, contemplative returns. 6-panel digisleeve. |
MURDEROUS VISION - 'Ghosts Of The Soul Long Lost Volume Four: Live 2002-2025' 2 x CD (Live Bait Recording Foundation) - £14.50
For the 4th volume of the "Ghosts Of The Soul Long Lost " series of archival recordings, Stephen Petrus compiled the best moments of Murderous Vision's live recordings. Clocking in at 2.5 hours, these Death Industrial / Dark Ambient performances are, for the most part, post-pandemic, but a few old moments are represented. None of these recordings have been physically released, and all (but a few available digitally) have been heard outside of the room they were captured in.
The DCD contains performances that took place in Akron / Columbus / Cleveland (Ohio), Brooklyn (New York), Manchester (New Hampshire), Minneapolis (Minnesota), Los Angeles (California), Pittsburgh (Pennsyvania), Vantaa (Finland), and Limburg (Netherlands). Stephen Petrus with guests TTR (percussion), Lot1113 (synth, electronics, handmade acoustic instruments), and Jeff Curtis (bass guitar).
Mastering by Grant Richardson (Gnawed).

COLD PROPHET - 'Cold Prophet' 2 x CD (The Sinister Initiative) - £16

The Sinister Initiative is the label of Niklas Kvarforth of Shining. Limited second edition to coincide with the release of the album "Intentio Exitus". Double CD in jewelcase with matt-laminate slipcase. |
THORSTEN SOLTAU / FEMURL - 'Furafauna' CD (Black Sun Recordings) - £11
An inspiring and varied musical journey that mixes rich instrumental pieces with electronics, vocal and acoustic sound sources. Atmospheric layers build slowly and twist into an intense sound sculpture. The music has a cinematic feel to it with one reviewer calling Soltau "a storyteller with sound".
Created over a period of 3 years he sculpted "Furafauna", an electroacoustic sound work dealing with fables and anthropomorphism. It includes two commissioned reworks from Sewicide and Troum, with Ralf Wehowsky contributing sounds sources to a couple of tracks. Thorsten Soltau is a sound designer and composer working in the field of sound design, electroacoustics and New Musik since 2005. He also works under his alter ego name as Femurl. Recent compositions have shown him use elements of new classical music, drone, and electroacoustic passages in a unique and inventive way, including sonic disintegration, conceptualism and dualism. Ltd x 200 copies in a digipak. |
PLAMEN VECNOSTI - 'The Utilization' CD (Zazen Sounds) - £12
Serbia's Plamen Vecnosti came into being in year 2013 through Sifr Shraddha (Svepna / Utvar). Forged in the Fires of the Underworld, Plamen Vecnosti (The Flame of Eternity) represents a dark transmitter, black medium and the entity of the Otherness.
In order to capture the vibrations of its abyssal birthplace, handmade instruments where designed, crafted and utilized. Rattles, skin drums, flutes, pipes, percussions, strings and other tools in various shapes and sizes successfully serve the purpose of the transmission.
Drones and noises gathered during field recordings conducted on various liminal places are combined with proper ritualistic chants, vocals, whispers and hypnotic rhythms forming the sonic manifestations of PV.
"The Utilization is the Fifth Pillar, characterized by a hiddenness that reveals itself only through the superposition linking and holding together the essence of all the Four Pillars that rose before it. To utilize is to set the course of this nature towards the Otherness - vaguely comprehended as a place that is not, in a time that is not... a dance of an apparition devoid of a dancer; an actor-less theatre play in an empty auditorium; a film in a cinema for the sake of an absent audience. The question of the beginning of the dance, the play, the film, demands the Utilization of the Weapon. Thus, the action-less action gives birth to the very rise of the Fifth Pillar, uncovering the true horror that lies within the inherent inability to comprehend the No Subject. It is the undoable apprehension of the Otherness - the absolution devoid of the sum and the totality of the Total Subject - that is the Utilization". Gatefold digisleeve. Already sold out from the label! |

Dimitris is a particularly productive musician, having released more than a dozen records including his own imprint Several Minor Promises.

VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'A Collection Of Songs In The Traditional & Sean-Nós Style' CD (Nyahh Records) - £12
Inspired by the song collecting of Alan Lomax, this compilation brings together two generations of singers from all across the island of Ireland. Some of the songs previously appear on albums, but the rest were recorded by the singer themselves on their phones to give the song a real and raw effect that brings an authentic feel and immediacy to the songs. A long standing tradition in Irish culture, singing - both traditional and Sean-Nós ("old style") - has taken place in pubs and private homes all over the country since the 13th Century and has been away to share and keep the music alive, passing it down to younger generations. It is considered to be an aural tradition, as a lot of these songs would of not been written down. Features: Conor O'Kane, Aoife Hammond, Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin, Michael Frank Ó Confhaola, Méabh Meir, Rosie Stewart, Ruth Clinton, Fionnuala Maxwell, Nell Ní Chroinin, Thomas McCarthy, and Sarah Ghriallais. Comes in 6-panel gatefold sleeve with liner notes on each song by the singers, and cover illustration by Denise Conroy. |
