NEW COLD SPRING RELEASES

KEIJI HAINO & STEVE NOBLE - 'Cafe OTO'
CD £9.50 Adv - OUT 17th JULY

   Bandcamp  Soundcloud  Download

Legendary Japanese experimentalist Keiji Haino (Fushitsusha) and London's fearless drummer Steve Noble (Æthenor) took to the stage at Cafe OTO in 2012 for a monumental concert - with Haino's extreme treatments of electric guitar, and feedback, with Noble on a lot of percussion...

While Keiji Haino theatrically sweeps between bleak and uninhibited paranoia, deep-level zoning and bluesy contemplation, Steve Noble's huge set up and graceful approach brings space, light and shade - so much so that at one point Haino unplugs his guitar and picks up a small wooden flute. Dynamic, dramatic and surprisingly uplifting.

"The sounds came across as random explosions, with passages of near-silence abruptly giving way to percussive clatters and sustained guitar roars. Then suddenly, they leaped into full chaotic freak-out mode, with Noble sending his small gongs and bowls flying as he pummelled the skins, unleashing a veritable thunderstorm of raucous sound...

Meanwhile, Haino switched on the fuzz and feedback, his guitar screaming like a beast possessed, with molten solo after molten solo cascading out of the amps. Just as quickly, they'd revert back to contemplative mode, Haino twisting and twitching his strings with the delicate touch of a brain surgeon. The interplay between the two was bewitching..." SUN RA | MERZBOW - 'Strange City'
2CD £14.50 Adv - OUT NOW!

   Bandcamp  Soundcloud  Download  YouTube

Officially licensed from Irwin Chusid of the SUN RA estate, Cold Spring negotiated rare and unreleased tracks from the SUN RA archive to be remixed and treated by Masami Akita (MERZBOW). The tracks incorporate the jazz power of SUN RA, carried into brutal excess by the legendary Japanese noise artist, MERZBOW.

Originally released by Cold Spring a decade ago and long sold out, the music was spread across vinyl and CD, with completely different music on each format. The tracks are now collected together here for the first time, from the original masters and presented in the order originally intended (the vinyl format dictated the order due to optimal sound quality restraints).

"The constant and destructive waves of noise make this decisively a Merzbow record, but its cosmic mood and rhythms prove that Sun Ra lives in its DNA" (Pitchfork)

Also included (for the first time on any release) is the bonus two minute track 'Granular Jazz Part 5', a special composition created for the Stuart Maconie's "Freak Zone" (BBC Radio 6), which was only broadcast once, ahead of Merzbow's show at Manchester's legendary FAC251, September 2016.

2CD with expanded artwork in a 8-panel double digipak - comes with an 8-page booklet featuring a new essay by Gydja. Orders from Cold Spring come with 2 free stickers (one Merzbow, one Sun Ra).

VA - 'Salò or The 120 Days Of Sodom' -
CD £11 | T-Shirt £18 | LP BROWN | £25 - OUT NOW!

The first time on any format for Pier Paolo Pasolini's controversial 1975 vision of the Marquis De Sade's 120 Days Of Sodom, featuring beautiful and discordant classical compositions, in stark contrast to the shocking and cruel events unfolding onscreen.

Three weeks before the scandalous release of "Salò, or The 120 Days Of Sodom", Pasolini was brutally murdered in Ostia, Italy. In the wake of the tragedy, legendary composer Ennio Morricone wrote 'Addio a Pier Paolo Pasolini' (Goodbye to Pier Paolo Pasolini) for the late filmmaker, included in the final edit.

Following the narrative of one of Pasolini's defining cinematic moments, the soundtrack opens with Ennio Morricone's "Son Tanto Triste", descends into the melancholic minor chords of Bach, Chopin, Orff, Puccini, and Graziosi, incorporates sinister renditions by the cast, and includes Morricone's own sombre tribute to the director.

Disgusted by the flood of crass sexploitation movies which filled the space opened up by his "Trilogy Of Life", Pasolini turned to the most nihilistic thinker in European history for what became his final film. His version of De Sade's 120 Days Of Sodom, amplified with motifs from Dante's Inferno, confronts the ultimate implications of fascism in a series of sexual and moral atrocities. "The only true anarchy is power".

The CD was released on Friday 13th February 2026, exactly 249 years since the Marquis de Sade was arrested and imprisoned in the dungeon of the Vincennes fortress for charges of "debauchery and immoderate libertinage" that scandalised his contemporaries.

Z'EV - 'Schönste Muziek'
CD £11 - OUT NOW!

   Bandcamp  Soundcloud  Download

Early hallucinatory ritual percussion works from the much-missed rhythmajik master Z'EV, with his 1983 Berlin Atonal performance as a bonus track (first time on any format since the original split LP with Psychic TV).

This legendary album by Industrial pioneer Z'EV was originally released in 1986 (LP, Dossier), now finally available with the state-of-the-art remastering it deserves. Also included is the bonus 20 minute track 'Titan Night', recorded at Berlin Atonal in December 1983, now available here for the first time on any format since the original 1984 split LP with Psychic TV (who performed their iconic set at the same event). Z'EV performed on all-steel, custom-made percussion instruments, designed to activate the acoustics of the space.

"Each track finds Z'EV creating moody and atmospheric percussion based compositions. If you're familiar with Z'EV's work you'd say these tracks are a bit more primal, stripped back, and unmanipulated. Each track takes in a set pattern of percussive elements, which he investigates over the tracks length, and these move from forceful battering onto more moody drifts, and in between the two... a worthy work from this most respected and unequalled artist" (Musique Machine).

CD in matt digipak, with all artwork remaining true to Z'EV's original concepts.

BRANDKOMMANDO - '1968' CD (Zoharum) - £11.50

Brandkommando is a project that has consistently followed its own path for over 20 years. From the outset, it has sent a clear anti-establishment, anti-communist, and anti-totalitarian message. His albums address various issues related to the bloody events instigated by various representatives of these systems. He opposes manipulation techniques, the denial of freedom of speech, and crimes committed in the name of "higher goals". Therefore, to convey this message, his music ranges from old-school, raw industrial, through power electronics, to noise aesthetics. His latest album, "1968", is dedicated to the brutal Operation Dunaj, in which "The Warsaw Pact" forces were involved and which aimed to suppress the so-called "Prague Spring". To this day, these events demand proper attention and reckoning, or at least proper assessment, especially as history repeats itself and the rulers of a country that was brutally pacified by communist bloc forces for its freedom-loving views, indulge Russia's policies. As you can see, the topic remains relevant, and its musical setting, included on this album, perfectly introduces the topic. Ltd x 300 copies in a 6-panel digisleeve.
DYSTOPIAN CONTROL - 'Nothing Changes The Narrative' CD (Zoharum) - £11.50

After several smaller releases, primarily splits and collaborations with other projects (notably Larmo), and an increasing number of concerts and tours, the time has come for a full-length album from Poland's Dystopian Control. "Nothing Changes The Narrative" comprises five lengthy compositions with a highly condensed charge and a radical sound, fitting the Harsh Noise aesthetic, yet breaking free from this definition. Dystopian Control seems to treat noisy structures as a foundation around which Andrzej Peszel builds tracks in an individual and unique way. With great awareness and imagination, drawing on their own sound-working methods, developed primarily during live performances, they skillfully construct their structures in such a way that it's hard to imagine anything so fresh and interesting being done in this genre. Ltd x 200 copies in a gatefold ecopak.
IRM - 'Anthology' 2 x CD (Zoharum) - £16

The reissue of Swedish power electronics act IRM's "Anthology", a collection originally released in 2012 (Autarkeia). Having started out in 1997 when Erik Jarl asked Martin Bladh to join him, IRM have matured from bedroom autodidacts to masters of the studio environment. Taking their cue from the confrontational sounds of Brighter Death Now and Whitehouse on their debut, IRM have honed their sound on each album and eventually fleshed out the sonic tapestry by the addition of Mikael Oretoft on bass. By tapping into the mindsets of outsider artists / authors such as Mishima, Rudolf Schwarzkogler and Francis Bacon, their obsessions with pain, purity and beauty leaked into Bladh's personal lyrics. This aesthetic amalgamated with the volcanic eruptions of Jarl and Oretoft have set IRM apart as true originators in the diluted sea of contemporary power electronics. Containing tracks scattered across small releases and compilations, the first disc contains studio recordings, while the second consists of live recordings. Presented in a 6-panel double-digipak with a 16-page booklet featuring information, lyrics, and artwork by Martin Blah.
IUGA - 'Meldrop' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £12

The debut album by IUGA emerges as a deeply immersive work of cinematic ambient music, entirely created through analogue and modular synthesizers. Built around dense textures, slow-moving tensions and emotionally charged atmospheres, it explores the psychological aftermath of loss and emotional absence. "Meldrop tells of the place I call home, my dogs, the forest and the lives within. It speaks of birth, life, and the end of it. It speaks of a realm where even death becomes solely a matter of sound and scent". The record's sound is physical and tactile, moving through dark resonances, suspended drones and dramatic tonal shifts that transform personal grief into a vast inner landscape. The record unfolds like a descent into memory, solitude and fragile emotional reconstruction. "A really enjoyable eerie, isolationist and wistful electronic ambient release" (Igloo Magazine). Ltd x 100 copies (CD proper) in a 6-panel matt digipak.
JUDE - 'Zakaz' LP (Zoharum) - £20

"Zakaz" could just be the best album in JUDE's discography to date. The band sounds even better with each new release; more aggressive, wild, and powerful. The experience they've gained over the years and along with their cooperation with a talented engineer who understands their music so well, has undoubtedly contributed to the final, razor-sharp sound. "It kicks the door open, drags a concrete block across the floor, and then stares at you as if you are somehow responsible for the state of the world... "Zakaz" does not seek comfort, accessibility, or fashionable relevance. It seeks impact. And it achieves it with remarkable precision... the band has learned how to transform raw aggression into something larger: a language of resistance, frustration, endurance, and dark beauty. Like a factory chimney silhouetted against a winter sky, "Zakaz" is harsh, imposing, and strangely magnificent" (Chain D.L.K.). Originally released on CD in 2024 (Kulturkampf label), these seven energetic tracks finally get a vinyl release. Ltd x 200 copies on 180g black vinyl in a glossy sleeve with a 4-page 30x30cm insert, containing the band's characteristic graphics and lyrics, and a download card.
KEVIN TOMKINS - 'Insomnia' 2 x CD (Zoharum) - £16

The latest solo album by Kevin Tomkins, member of Sutcliffe No More, Patient K, Bodychoke (ex-Sutcliffe Jugend, ex-Whitehouse etc). On this DCD he explores the realms of drone / ambient music to sonically illustrate the state of insomnia. Each of the compositions featured here was recorded during late-night sessions, set between 12:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. On the one hand, we are dealing with material that could serve as a form of therapy for the recorder, but also as a musical documentation of his struggles and attempts to find balance and peace. It reflects, as if through a lens, a variety of emotional, mental, and physical states, painted with successive sounds, their frequencies, and timbres. By listening carefully to this rather peculiar, unconventional, and at times quite surprising musical drama, we can experience a whole range of emotions that accompany the nearly two-hour session, consisting of 11 separate sessions, which here take the form of longer compositions, filling two CDs. Ltd x 300 copies in a 6-panel ecopak.
MONOCUBE & TROUM - 'Contemplator Caeli' CD (Zoharum) - £11.50

First time on CD for this epic collaboration between two guitar drone projects: Ukraine's Monocube and Germany's TROUM (ex-Maeror Tri), working with each other's base material to create transcending drones and dream atmospherics (acoustic guitars, melodica, accordion, voice and electronic effects). "Contemplator Caeli" denotes the antique notion and skill of immersing into the (night) sky, in order to feel connected to the immeasurable dimensions of the universe and the unearthly powers. The celestial spheres and objects are interpretated as living entities, building a shelter for the earth and the humans, reflecting an eternal cosmic order and it's principles. The sky is being watched with deep humbleness, amazement and praise. Inspired by this notion, Troum and Monocube wanted to capture its emotional bearing, understanding the sky also as our 'psychic firmament' - the universe that is linked with every single cell in our bodies. First released on LP on Troum's own Transgredient label (2019), this CD edition includes a bonus, previously unreleased track 'Via Astorum', recorded together by both projects and has been remastered by James Plotkin. Ltd x 300 copies in a 6-panel digipak featuring new artwork by Chris Friel.
RAPOON - 'Cold War : Drum 'N' Bass' 3 x CD (Zoharum) - £20

25 years after its initial release, Rapoon's extraordinary, epic double album "Cold War : Drum 'N' Bass" is now expanded into a 3CD set, with a bonus disc recorded 2025. A significant standout work in his extensive discography, Robin Storey (Reformed Faction, Old Castle, ex-Zoviet France) takes on his own interpretation of drum 'n' bass, infusing it with his own sound. The distinctive rhythm and low-bass are filled with a multitude of oriental flourishes, Middle Eastern sounds, and melodies that define Rapoon's signature style. Interestingly, the theme explored at the time referred to a historical perspective on the conflict. Paradoxically, after more than a quarter of a century, it has again become strangely relevant. The third disc is a further development of the theme, symbolically, out of the need to fill in the missing threads in the face of the geopolitical changes that occurred during the time between the two conflicts. Ltd x 300 copies in a deluxe 8-panel double digipak.
VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Music For Ancient Catacombs' CD (Eighth Tower Records / Unexplained Sounds) - £12

Across centuries, catacombs have exerted a powerful fascination on the human imagination. These underground networks, carved beneath cities and landscapes, have served as places of burial, devotion, secrecy, and contemplation. Their presence continues to resonate strongly today, inspiring artists, writers, and musicians who perceive them as symbolic spaces where history, spirituality, and the passage of time converge. The silence of stone corridors, the weight of centuries, and the sense of suspended time still speak vividly to contemporary sensibilities. "Music For Ancient Catacombs" is conceived as a descent into subterranean spaces where time, memory, and silence accumulate layer after layer. The catacomb emerges as a resonant chamber in which sound takes the form of ritual, meditation, and threshold. These underground architectures, both imagined and real, evoke permanence and decay at the same time, spaces carved to preserve the dead and to host a deep sense of continuity beyond human presence. Featuring contributions from key figures of the dark ambient scene whose work has long explored liminal zones between sound, spirituality, and darkness, the compilation shapes a coherent sonic environment built from drones, distant harmonics, and slow-moving textures: Kammarheit, Sublimatio Mortis, New Risen Throne, Mario Lino Stancat, Sílení, Ashtoreth & Penumbral Aethyr, Nerthus, Guru Bobol, Dapalis Sepolcri, Adonai Atrophia, Progettosonoro, Pnévmma, and Aconis. Each piece unfolds as a chamber within a wider underground complex, distinct yet interconnected, guiding the listener through a continuous immersive experience. Ltd x 150 copies in a 6-panel matt digipak.
VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Night Falls: Music Inspired By David Lynch's Twin Peaks' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £12

A compilation focused on Twin Peaks, the television series created by Lynch and Mark Frost that profoundly reshaped the relationship between narrative, sound and perception on the small screen. First broadcast in 1990, Twin Peaks initially aired for two seasons between 1990 and 1991, before returning in 2017 with a third season that radically redefined the boundaries of television storytelling. From the outset, the series introduced an unprecedented fusion of crime drama, soap opera, surrealism and metaphysical horror, filtered through Lynch's authorial vision as director and Frost's narrative architecture. What began as an apparently familiar small-town mystery gradually evolved into an increasingly unstable universe, dissolving linear narration and pushing television into territories that were previously unthinkable. Across its three seasons, Twin Peaks expanded into a complex exploration of dreams, alternate realities, fragmented identities and temporal dislocation, transforming the medium of television into a space for long-form experimentation and subconscious inquiry. The music collected on this CD responds to Twin Peaks as a living ecosystem of moods, symbols and emotional tensions. The diversity of the musical material reflects the multiple identities of the series itself. Ambient noise, dub-inflected structures, dark jazz atmospheres and experimental electronic compositions coexist freely, allowing the listener to move between all phases of the series, from the deceptive calm of the early episodes to the darker, more abstract territories explored later. Features: 400 Lonely Things, Rapoon, Paolo L. Bandera (Sigillum S), Joel Gilardini, Mario Lino Stancati, Mark Hjorthoy & David Strother, Oubys, Yousef Kawar, Richard Bégin, Glass Isle, Beyond The Ghost, David Kovacs, and Kabra. Ltd x 150 copies in a 6-panel matt digipak.

ATRAX MORGUE - 'Death-Orgasm Connector' LP (Urashima) - £24

The first ever reissue of Atrax Morgue's seminal album "Death-Orgasm Connector", originally released in 2003 by Slaughter Productions. It encapsulates the raw essence of Marco Corbelli's power electronics, melding harsh noise with industrial undertones and dark synth-electronics, solidifying Atrax Morgue's place in the experimental music landscape. From the very first track, listeners are thrust into a visceral experience defined by Corbelli's staticky rasps and eerie sci-fi synth notes. Each subsequent composition unfurls like a chilling soundtrack to existential terrors, culminating in a bleak exploration of themes that echo throughout the album. With the tracks playing as a cohesive narrative, "Death-Orgasm Connector" is characterised by sparse arrangements and an evocative exploration of singular ideas. The standout title track showcases Corbelli's vocal prowess and synthesis reaching intense climaxes, punctuated by a jarring bass drum that cuts through the sonic murk. Tracks like 'A Nasty Trick' employ high-pitched drones, overlaid with Corbelli's unsettling laughter, painting a picture that is as disturbing as it is compelling. His vocal stylings range from articulate language to feral, almost animalistic expressions, immersing listeners in a chaotic soundscape reminiscent of a nightmare. The harsh noise is not merely an aesthetic choice but a vehicle for thematic exploration - sexuality, violence, and the grotesque intersections they inhabit. Ltd x 199 copies with A5 insert.
ATRAX MORGUE - 'Negative Frequencies' LP (Urashima) - £24

Honouring Italian Death Industrial legend Atrax Morgue's enduring impact on the avant-garde music landscape, this reissue commemorates one of the final artistic beacons before Marco Corbelli's untimely departure. Originally released on limited CDR in February 2006 (150 copies, Slaughter Productions), "Negative Frequencies" encapsulates the disease and bleak essence for which Atrax Morgue is renowned; an unwavering dedication to the exploration of the death. Atmospheric, repetitive, and haunting textures intertwine to create a uniquely evocative auditory experience. Corbelli, through his meticulous approach, manipulates synths and analogue tape to craft a sonic landscape that invites introspection into the darker recesses of the human psyche. Shortly after the album's original release, Corbelli took his own life, rendering this work one of the last tangible echoes of his creative brilliance. This seminal work is now reissued for the first time on vinyl and features a cover image sourced from the "Atlante di Medicina Legale" by W. Weimann and O. Prokop. Ltd x 199 copies including an A3 folded booklet, containing the original notes and drawings by the talented Marco Corbelli from the CD edition, enriched with a collection of new annotations and previously unreleased photographs provided by Andrea Marutti (who also remastered this edition).
INCAPACITANTS - 'Feedback Of N.M.S.' 2 x LP (Urashima) - £32

One of the best noise bands to ever come out of Japan, Incapacitants was formed in 1981 in Osaka as the solo project of Toshiji Mikawa (Hijokaidan). He later moved to Tokyo, where he joined with Fumio Kosakai (Hijokaidan, C.C.C.C.) to make Incapacitants a duo. They released their first album "Feedback Of N.M.S." on CD on Alchemy Records (1991). Comprising three tracks of visionary expression - incorporating elements of junk metal, modular synthesis, hand-made noisy objects, and real-time instrumental and vocal improvisation - it encounters each artist entering a new stage of their career, harnessing the challenges posed by the other as a means to drive toward new creative unknowns. Central to this is the pair's unique approach to structure and form, in addition to their chosen instruments and electronics. The incredible tracks vary from expansive textures and tones, constrained electronics, site specific resonance, and complex harmonic interplay, that consistently rethink the terms of noise, infusing it with tension, dissonance, and a deeply emotive, human touch. "Feedback Of N.M.S." is an absolutely masterful piece of work, threaded with risk, ambition, raw immediacy, and precision. Ltd x 299 copies, with six cards reproducing Takuya Sakaguchi's original drawings and adding an unreleased drawing and extensive notes in Japanese and English.
MERZBOW - 'Oersted' 2 x LP (Urashima) - £32

The highly anticipated vinyl reissue of Merzbow's ground-breaking 1996 album. Originally released on CD by Vinyl Communications, this significant milestone in the Japanoise scene is a sonic journey through realms of noise, texture, and intensity. A classic of Merzbow's analogue era, "Oersted" sounds noticeably different from "Pulse Demon", "Tauromachine", and "Venereology", with its use of space and dynamic range. Utilising cacophonic machine noise, synth sounds and metallic scrapes, the overall feel of the album is psychedelic and vibrant. The vinyl reissue, expertly remastered for the first time by the esteemed James Plotkin (Khanate, The Joy Of Disease), renowned for his unparalleled expertise, breathes fresh life and depth into the album's already rich and intricate sonic landscape, unveiling new detail within its reverberant dense tapestry and complex noise palette. Ltd x 299 copies in a gatefold sleeve.

INADE / TROUM - 'To Pan Eon' 10" MARBLED (Substantia innominata / Drone Records) - £16

One of the most anticipated releases of the year! "Inspired by the ancient Greek concept of To Pan Eon (the All, the Eternal), German drone transcendentalists Inade and Troum unite for an immersive four-track EP that explores the infinite cycles of mind and matter. The two projects have converged in a focused and intense collaboration, shaping sonic landscapes that blur the boundaries between inner and outer worlds. With this release, their shared aesthetic vision crystallizes into a singular, cohesive experience. The EP combines their deeply developed sonic signatures: vast and shadow-laden cosmic atmospheres, ritualistic and tribal pulses, hypnotic guitar drones, and shimmering harmonic overtones that seem to breathe and expand in slow motion. Each track unfolds as a meditative spiral - circling, dissolving, re-emerging. "To Pan Eon" is not merely a recording; it is a sonic rite. It reflects the circular processes found in dreams, in sacred rituals, and in the subconscious realizations that connect psyche and cosmos. Sound becomes both vessel and vortex - drawing the listener inward while simultaneously opening outward into the eternal whole. This collaboration stands as a testament to resonance - between artists, between frequencies, between the finite and the infinite. Dreams are the language of the soul, guiding us through unseen realms. Through dreams, rituals, and acts of consciousness, this collaboration finds its source - dedicated to the eternal cycles that weave through human experience and the cosmos alike. Ltd x 500 copies on dark shining three-colour (clear + red + black) marbled vinyl.
BLACK LEATHER JESUS - 'The Lord Won't Mind' CD (Cranial Blast) - £13

Originally released on cassette by Deadline Recordings (1994, 2011, 2020), this is the first time on CD proper for this landmark Harsh Noise work containing two 31-minute tracks. Personnel for this release: Richard Ramirez (Werewolf Jerusalem), David Gilden (Slave Labor), and Scott Houston (Respirator, S.P.I.T.). Formed by prolific artist Richard Ramirez in 1989, Black Leather Jesus is a harsh noise collective originally from Texas. Mastered by Grant Richardson (Gnawed). Digipak with new artwork.
RAPOON - 'Grain Of Light' CD (Unexplained Sounds) - £12

Robin Storey's journey through sound is inseparable from the evolution of post-industrial and experimental ambient music itself. As a founding member of the seminal collective Zoviet France, formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1979, Storey helped shape a new sonic vocabulary that blended ritual abstraction, primitive sampling, and immersive atmospheres. When Storey launched his solo project Rapoon in 1992, he distilled that experimental spirit into a more introspective and hypnotic form, drawing upon non-Western rhythmic patterns and the cyclical pulse of memory. Rapoon has become synonymous with a particular kind of ethno-ambient classicism, exploring the borderlands between archaeology and imagination. With "Grain of Light", Storey continues this long meditation on time and transcendence. Deeply influenced by Eastern music, the album reaches sandy and swampy depths that could have emerged from Jon Hassell's own scorebook, yet it remains unmistakably Rapoon - a music that evokes both ritual and dream, memory and mirage. Ltd x 150 copies in a matt-laminate 6-panel digipak.
VOICE OF EYE / THOMAS DIMUZIO / SORIAH - 'Aphelion' CD (Sym / Drone Records) - £12

Far from the sun, on voyage to translucency! The return of Voice Of Eye in collaboration with two other U.S. underground legends. After an initial correspondence in the early 90's Voice Of Eye and Thomas Dimuzio ultimately fulfilled their desire to collaborate. Some 18 years later they met in the studio to produce a celestial journey to the aether that became their debut release, "The Unveiling Of Darkness" (2012). Never to be rushed, his next excursion into the cosmos, a mere 14 years later, features. Voice of Eye perform and record deep ambient, shamanic, sonically organic drone, galactic ritual, and heirloom quality industrial music. Thomas Dimuzio is a San Francisco underground legend whose massive hypnotic soundscapes released in the '90s were much ahead of the time. Soriah, who blends traditional Khöömei (Tuvan Throat Singing), tempered with their own visceral force, are known for their own collaborations with the likes of Steve Roach. Ltd x 250 copies in a 6-panel digisleeve with special artwork using metallic colours.
CYCLE OF THE RAVEN TALONS - 'A Medicinal Musical' 2 x CD (Glass Throat Recordings) - £16

Chet W. Scott (Blood Of The Black Owl, Ruhr Hunter) under the moniker and original sigil Cycle Of The Raven Talons presents 90 minutes of ceremonial drones, ambient textures, natural soundscapes and transcendent vocals. A seeker and long standing solitary practitioner of his own path, this collection of sacred ecstatic works - using authentic ritual instrumentation such as animal horns, ceremonial frame drums, bone flutes and antique bells - has become another turn of the great wheel. These four ceremonies are inspired perspectives through the sacred medicine circle; a journey of strictly acoustic, worldly soundscapes performed as an intense and sometimes brutal aural cleanse. "My intentions offer a strict implementation of authentic hand-crafted ceremonial and ritual instrumentation. A movement with focus on the being through somatic sacred breath - a flowing music that spirals from the still emptiness of a once-intellectualised self toward that of a primordial embodiment". The environmental recordings and performances were captured within wild old growth rain forest and lake locations throughout the Pacific Northwestern region of Turtle Island, Raufarhöfn in Northeastern Iceland, and a remote fjord fishing cabin in Sòlbrekka, Eastern Iceland. Ltd x 500 copies in an exquisite 6" x 6", 6-panel outsized sleeve, with clear white foil stamping upon heavily textured dense white card stock. Crafted by Roddy Graham from out of the Scottish Borderlands, ElectronicDeathBlackDogs' new album, "The Bornless One" draws deeply from Gnostic mysticism, inviting listeners on a journey into the solitude of nature. Through deep meditation and profound insight, it encourages a dialogue with your inner daemon or holy guardian angel; whichever spirit your soul embraces. This album weaves dark ambient soundscapes, offering an immersive escape into shadowy dreams. "It is a soundscape about loneliness, about the desolation of vast stretches of nature where the two-legged creature unequivocally encounters himself. It is a mystical-sounding journey, rooted in the Gnostic mysticism for which Graham shows a preference" (Luminous Dash). Mastered by Robin Storey (Rapoon). Ltd x 200 copies in a 6-panel digisleeve, with graphic design by Abby Helasdottir (Gydja).
ALTAR OF FLIES - 'A Lifetime' 2 x CD (Satatuhatta) - £16

After almost 20 years of making noise and experimental music, and as one of the most celebrated names in the genre, Mattias Gustafsson once again proves his masterful skills in crafting sound and atmosphere that leave a lasting mark on the listener. The double album "A Lifetime" is a fresh addition, bringing a beautiful new chapter to an already outstanding catalogue. Active since 2006, and based in Mjölby, Sweden, Mattias Gustafsson is a prominent figure in the Scandinavian underground noise, drone, and industrial music scenes, working primarily with magnetic tape, analogue synthesizers, field recordings, and rudimentary electronics. He also records as Barstool Mountain and is a member of Organ Of Corti (with Dan Johansson, Joachim Nordwall), and Nærværet (with Andreas Barsleth), amongst others. Presented in a 6-panel double digipak.
UNDIRHEIMAR - 'Utisetur I' CD (Zazen Sounds / Cyclic Law) - £13

Undirheimar presents a pure vocal descent into ritual trance. "Utisetur I" is the sixth album by Canadian ritual project, marking the beginning of an ambitious trilogy of uncompromising spiritual and sonic vision. "Utisetur I" unfolds as a six-part ritual chant rooted in the ancient meditative practice of Utiseta. Stripping away all instrumentation, Undirheimar constructs the entire album exclusively from layered overtone singing, creating a dense, immersive field of resonance without the use of synths, drones, or external sound sources. The result is a stark yet richly textured sonic environment, where voice alone becomes both medium and conduit. Through this singular approach, the album channels a deep trance state, guiding the listener inward through primal, Thursian currents that pulse across inner and outer worlds alike. Each movement operates as a phase of transformation, a sonic rite of transmogrification unfolding in real time. Undirheimar explores the boundaries between sound, ritual, and altered states of consciousness. This first chapter in the trilogy stands as both an invocation and an invitation: to listen, to descend, and to experience the unseen through vibration alone. Ideal listening for the followers of Phurpa and deep meditative ritual recordings, from the artist also responsible for Sublimatio Mortis, and Kemet. Ltd x 200 copies in an A5 Digisleeve.
MIKE LAZAREV - 'Tarnished Tapes And Saturated Signals' CD (Dronarivm) - £11.50

"Mike Lazarev follows up 2023's 'Sacred Tonalities' with 'Tarnished Tapes And Saturated Signals', a record that drifts through memory, texture and time. Built around degraded analogue recordings and a lo-fi aesthetic, each track feels like a half-erased recollection - familiar but warped, like an old cassette tape left to melt in a sunbaked car. This is music shaped by absence as much as presence: crackling ambience, distant piano, and ghosted melodies that flicker at the edge of recognition. Lazarev weaves elements of deconstructed electronica, cinematic soundscapes and modern classical into a deeply emotive, slow-fading whole. The result is a series of compositions that evoke the disintegration of memory, the passing of time, and the fragile clarity that sometimes pierces the fog of nostalgia. 'Tarnished Tapes And Saturated Signals' offers a space to reflect - on the rave long since ended, the roads we no longer travel, and the signal that lingers in the static. A resonant work of reduction and decay" (Norman Recs). Ltd x 150 copies in a discbox slider, with soft touch finish.
THE FIELDS OF HAY - 'A Circle Of Skin' CD (Fourth Dimension) - £11.50

Almost 20 years after the debut "Songs For Nine Ladies", The Fields Of Hay (Stuart Carter of Theme, Splintered, Heroin) presents "A Circle of Skin". This album continues his exploration of the twilight zone with a combination of light and dark shading, crepuscular atmospherics, contemporary psychedelic fug, immersive strums and that feeling of abandonment one attains as they sink back into a disorientating chasm of their own making. "A Circle Of Skin" is music to give solace during the dark autumn evenings. Creating images and patterns of comfort to deflect from the hallucinogenic disorientations of reality. As ever with these things, there are always demons and spirits lurking within the shadows, showing us with a sharpened realisation to be mindful, as things can always get worse. These are the murky undercurrents of a world that keeps us alive and moving forward. The sounds present are at once both organic and synthesised, improvised and yet organised, soothing and unsettling, dark yet uplifting, cosmic and spaced but at the same time earthy and grounded. Reissue of a limited edition 12" lathe-cut on Stuart's own Idioblast imprint (2024). Three lengthy tracks (43 mins), with the track 'Unheilige Magie' finally presented as one complete piece. Ltd x 200 copies in a digipak.
