MARTYN WARE (HEAVEN 17) & CHARLES STOOKE && GABRIEL WARE
CD £11.50 - OUT NOW!

An experimental dive into aquatic and industrial rhythms, this is the original soundscape to the highly-successful, immersive installation "It's Always Ourselves We Find In The Sea" (premiere at The Saatchi Gallery) composed for 3D ambisonic sound by: MARTYN WARE (HEAVEN 17, B.E.F., ex-THE HUMAN LEAGUE), CHARLES STOOKE, and GABRIEL WARE.
Produced by Illustrious (Martyn Ware and Vince Clark of Erasure), with environmental and immersive design by Oscar Blustin and Anna Söderblom, the installation invites visitors into a contemplative space; a quiet, peaceful temple to water, within which the soundscape exists. Listeners enter and explore the space in their own time, letting the sounds wash over them, experiencing the stories and musical motifs as they build and gather then subside like the tide.
Taking a cue both from UNESCO's Ocean Literacy initiative and the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 14 - Life Below Water - "It's Always Ourselves We Find In The Sea" offers visitors an opportunity to consider their relationship with water, and to step back out into the world with an altered perspective on its value and cultural significance.
The soundscape is a looping experience, divided into two parts:
Part One - A Call To Water: This section explores our human relationship with anthropomorphised Water - throughout the history of our species and all across the globe, humankind has petitioned the deities of the sky and the sea for the benediction of rain and for deliverance from natural disasters.
Part Two - The Water Circle: Water is crucial for all life on earth to exist and thrive. In this part, we witness the storm's deluge on the land, water cascading in streams, then rivers and finally to the sea. The beauty and mystery of the oceans culminates in the process of evaporation and the creation of clouds, which continue the eternal cycle of water.

IGGOR CAVALERA / SHANE EMBURY - 'Neon Gods / Own Your Darkness'
CD £11 | LP Black £20 Adv | LP White £22 Adv - CD OUT NOW / LP OUT 23 APR.
Two legendary titans of the extreme metal scene - IGGOR CAVALERA (Cavalera Conspiracy / Petbrick / founding member of Sepultura) and SHANE EMBURY (Napalm Death / Dark Sky Burial) - join forces for this unique split of brooding dark ambient, industrial strength noise, and heavy synth-laden electronics, creating what feels like the lost soundtrack to some dystopian fever dream.
Setting the tone for this double-headed behemoth with creeping, cinematic dark ambience, IGGOR CAVALERA's side-long 'Neon Gods' unfolds into a brutal sonic nightmare. Equal measures of dread and anguish come together with the occasional reprieve of slow, pulsating drones and almost meditative waves of static. The crescendo of harsh industrial noise with heavy Death Industrial vocalisation is nothing short of pummelling.
"Neon Gods is a bit of a sonic trip, with different layers of atmospheric vibrations, from darkness to light. It's an absolute pleasure to do this split release with Shane, I believe we share a lot of similar ideas when it comes to opening our mind to different styles of sounds" (IC).
SHANE EMBURY's 'Own Your Darkness' merges menacing, pitch-black dark ambient and hypnotic bass swells with celestial synth lines that subtly lurk around the peripheries. Rising and falling, ebbing and flowing - until finally the all-encompassing apocalyptic bleakness, the enveloping darkness, closes in around you.
"Iggor and I have been good friends for decades and this is a record very different for us both but amazing! A very interesting track to make, it was my first experiment with the Solar 42. An excellent synth for those eternal drones of despair and was assisted my long time colleague Russ Russell. As I journey ever onward in through my individuation it's imperative that I own my own darkness... hence the title. We all need to strive for balance and to kindle a light in the darkness of being" (SE).

SATORI - 'Pillars Of Salt'
CD £11 - OUT NOW!

SATØRI's mission to document the stupidity of our species continues with "Pillars of Salt" - a journey through grinding rhythms, dystopian soundscapes and a fascination into what lies beneath the surface.
"An aberrant signal. Data loss. Corrupted programming. Everything should be fine. But it isn't, is it? Everything is f**ked. Something has gotten into the system and is destroying it from within. This is humanity being consumed by the inability to think for itself. Ahead is the future. Just don't look back..."
Formed in the mid-80's, with previous releases on high-calibre labels such as Broken Flag, Cold Spring, Trident, Mindscan, and Tesco Organisation, SATØRI's sound comprises a mixture of harsh Industrial noise and power electronics with harder and heavier percussive beats than before. Their material provides a constant pervasive undercurrent of violence, the feeling of a planet on the verge of collapse and a reflection of the lack of humanity embedded in a culture based on greed and self-preservation.
Featuring guest vocalist Lorenzo Abattoir, the album was produced by Andy Swan (Khost, Final, Iroha, Tactical Pagan).

COLOSSLOTH - 'The Harmony Knife'
CD £11 - OUT NOW!

The fifth album from industrial / esoteric electronic alchemist Colossloth is a concept album based on the writings of professor Ted Kaczynski AKA the Unabomber. It is not about his terror campaign against the industrial society and the rise of technology - but his manifesto "Industrial Society And Its Future" and in particular the elements of "The Power Process".
"With "The Harmony Knife", Colossloth is cutting through to the bone and sinew of Man's chronic, species-specific dissatisfaction, and the causes thereof. He is laying bare humankind's inability to solve its own, self-created problems, to meet its basic needs, and to achieve even those goals clearly within its reach.
What is the fundamental nature of the human condition? Is it one of misery and failure in the face of blissful possibility? Is it the contrary unwillingness to accept that we can become fully realised and contented beings through the success of actualised, idiosyncratic, and often basic goals?
In defining and describing The Power Process, the twisted mind of Ted Kaczynski saw mankind's primal need to struggle for a goal, however small, as necessary for a meaningful life. Indeed, without this elemental piece of the evolutionary struggle, he saw terminal atrophy as the inevitable result.
With "The Harmony Knife", Colossloth seizes these ideas and sonically extrapolates the implications of humankind's failure to satisfy even our most rudimentary needs. He creates an auditory landscape examining our repeated inability to focus our efforts on fundamental goals to ensure even a measure of happiness or contentment. Humanity's inability to live rather than merely exist" (Jake Shell).

Available for the first time outside USSR, Soviet composers perform their works on the legendary ANS synthesizer.
Recorded in 1969, "Электронная Музыка АНС (ANS Electronic Music)' features 6 tracks of experiments on the unique machine by: Eduard Artemiev, Stanislav Kreitchi, Sándor Kallós, and Alexander Nemtin. A 'musical' machine unlike any other which has long fascinated cutting edge, modern electronic composers, notably COIL and TAGC / CLOCK DVA, that have both released recordings utilising the ANS.
Inside the ANS are five rotating glass discs with 144 tones printed (by hand) on each one. Light is projected through the discs and onto photovoltaic cellbank which converts the light into electricity and sends signals to the ANS's amplifiers and bandpass filters. ANS can generate 720 tones and, unlike a human musician, play them all at the same time.
Soviet music lovers will already know recordings made on ANS from Tarkovsky's films Solaris, The Mirror, and Stalker, Konchalovsky's film Siberiade, and others.

Carefully constructed aural rituals from T.A.G.C., this album maps new realms in the area of sensual electronic music. Founder Adi Newton (CLOCK DVA) uses The Anti Group Communications as an outlet for his research in psycho-acoustic music.
"Iso-Erotic Calibration" explores the potent topic of human sexuality. Recorded over a period of 3 years, this could be considered on of their more "accessible" albums.
Originally released in 1994 (Side Effects, the label of Lustmord, Musica Maxima Magnetica, Adi's own Anterior Research Recordings), we are proud to present the album for the first time on vinyl, as well as the first official CD reissue, fleshed out with four bonus tracks: two were bonus digital-only tracks (2013); one track is taken from the soundtrack to the 2011 T.A.G.C. film 'Given'; one is a remix of the title track.
T.A.G.C. was devised by Adi Newton and Steven James Turner as early as 1978.
The artwork is filled with text and illustrations supporting the different songs.

A classic compilation that emanated out of Osaka, "Noise Forest" brings together a powerhouse of early 90's Japanese noise stalwarts: MERZBOW, C.C.C.C., SOLMANIA, DISLOCATION, MONDE BRUITS, MASONNA, VIOLENT ONSEN GEISHA, and INCAPACITANTS.
The ultimate Japanoise collection, originally released in 1992 on the cult Les Disques Du Soleil label / record store on CD-only, and now impossible to find. Remastered and presented here on deluxe 2LP in matt-laminate gatefold sleeve (first time on vinyl) and new CD edition, all with new artwork.
Despite all tracks falling into the Japanoise genre, they are very diverse - yet every track is so distinct it could only be by that artist.
"One of the most unique and stand-out noise comps of the 90's" (Noisextra)

ADAM BOHMAN - 'Text Pieces + Compositions For Prepared Strings And Objects' CD (Krim Kram) - £11.50
A new collection of Adam's signature cut-up found text pieces and intricate close-mic'd improvisations with homemade stringed instruments and small objects. Guaranteed to get your mouth watering and head spinning. While the ordinary well-adjusted citizen is liable to whitey within 30 seconds, those of us with stronger constitutions will be unfazed by the regressive babbling state you may find yourself in. Hold fast, you are one joyous step closer to enlightenment.
Adam Bohman has been operating on the outer fringes of underground music for decades. Working with home-built instruments, found objects, tape cut-ups, collages, ink drawings and graphic scores. Favouring acoustic sounds over electronics, he explores the minute tendrils of sounds coaxed from any number of non-musical instruments and objects. He is a member of British experimental groups, Morphogenesis, The Bohman Brothers, Secluded Bronte, and The London Improvisers Orchestra. His music is unique and experimental, incorporating Fluxus japery, musique concrete, sound poetry and free improvisation. 6-panel digipak.

APEX PARASITE - 'Everybody Should Be Punished' CD (Dunkelheit Produktionen) - £11.50
The hammer of heavy Industrial PE returns! After a truly promising debut, Apex Parasite serves up another full-length offering in form of "Everybody Should Be Punished".
It is clear that the artist has made significant progress since his first audial torment onslaught. The atmosphere is rough and heavy; dark spheres haunt barren wastelands as swirls of feedback and synthlines melt into blackest vitriol. Samples and strong vocals narrate the distorted cacophony that always reeks of spite and dominance.
Although Apex Parasite is clearly old school Industrial Power Electronics, there is a fresh and innovative touch to the material. Vile PE in its truest form. Ltd x 200 hand-numbered copies in a jewelcase with booklet.
|
BLUE EYES - 'Bewusstsein' CD (Dunkelheit Produktionen) - £11.50
"Bewusstsein" is a true landmark for this obscure Noise project. Those who may be a bit tired of the modern cleanliness in sound will be treated to the beauty of rusty synthesizers and warm blasting noise, with the gritty and analogue feel that the tracks offer. Looped feedback oscillates in a meditative fashion until fresh, sparkling walls kick in to form another sonic tapestry. There is still a trace of Ambient hidden in Blue Eyes' work, but the results are too innovative and original to label this a mere blending of styles. "Bewusstsein" is definitely something new that promises to please both old school freaks and those who appreciate the new avantgarde. Mandatory!
Mastered by Grant Richardson (Gnawed). Ltd x 150 hand-numbered copies in jewelcase with booklet.
|
CONFLAGRATION CHAMBER - 'The Maldoror Sounds In Three Acts' CD (Dunkelheit Produktionen) - £11.50
From the timeless mists of underground obscurity, the new entity Conflagration Chamber emerges. Pitch-black post-mortem elixir from cold and unholy Russia, featuring members of Ulvdalir, Horthodox and Womb11.
Intense old school feeling material - it's definitely Power Electronics in its purest form, but there are distinct traces of Death Industrial sickness to be found in the vitriolic compositions, created with synths, human skulls, bones, rusted nails... Tortured, brutish vocals like a thunderstorm of decadent poetry echo from the dismal industrial labyrinths of imperial factories.
A true beast that presents some of the most ambitious and raw recordings of our age; no trend, no compromise, just the sombre eminence of Eastern and post-mortem Power Electronics fanaticism. Ltd x 200 hand-numbered copies in a jewelcase with special Leporello-Booklet.

DAISUKE SUZUKI - 'D.D.D.' CD (Siren Records) - £14.50
A field recording album recorded by Daisuke Suzuki, originally
released on LP by IDEA label in 2001 (Ltd x 300).
Sometimes field recordings can be appreciated in relation to the conceptual art form, or as an on-site sound study and documentation of a very specific phenomena. However, here Daisuke had was only concerned with gathering lots of intriguing sound matter for his personal listening. "D.D.D." (Duck! Duck! Duck!) was mastered by Gary Todd, who was the founder of the Cortical Foundation. Gary and Daisuke became good friends when Gary visited Japan as Red Crayola live sound engineer in the late 1990s and they developed a mutual trust with each other after that.
Sadly in September 2001, Gary fell from his apartment balcony, which left him hospitalised ever since. On June 25, 2022 Gary passed away at the age of 59. Daisuke said "Gary was always generous and had a kind heart. He gave me a lot of friendship and warmth. I've decided to re-issue 'D.D.D.' to keep him in memory and heart".
The CD includes an expanded version of 'Cricket Voice' which did not appear on the original LP release. Ltd x 200 copies, presented in a facsimile card sleeve of the original release, newly designed by Andrew Chalk.

DAVID JACKMAN - 'Sekihi Oidori' CD (Siren Records) - £13.50
"Sekihi Oidori" is a development of the quiet nature of earlier Organum works, released under David Jackman's own name because of a very personal essence. Composed of low-key church organ drones, airy tanpura sounds, occasional church bell chimes and chirping birds, it's the most minimal, the most quiet and the most powerful composition Jackman has ever created. Uninterrupted drones of increasing internal dynamic energy that Jackman infused with mindful listening. "Sekihi Oidori" means "Stone Tomb Old Bird" in English but the piece is neither an elegy nor a lamentation. "An abandoned silence. Dreams of drifting, living a fateful solitude. Wrapped around a grey and foaming voice, reaping impulse and mass like forgotten beats. Lost to countless days and nights, rocks and soil, sand and stars, in the sadness of being standing apart. Remember the rising flame from time long ago, a sound that shook deeply from the bottom of a boiling ocean. On the voice of Mother Magma, formless lava fashioned a primeval landscape. Ash, smoke and seething seas, a red-hot avalanche cascades endlessly. The Awakened Voice predestined from beyond the Fearceness". Glossy gatefold digisleeve with artwork by Jonathan Coleclough. |
EPISODE XIII - 'Life Terror' CD (Zazen Sounds) - £12
Experimental and avantgarde mystical Black Metal in the vein of Old Satyricon or Ved Buens Ende. Episode XIII weaves eerie atmospheres with unorthodox structures, forging a sound both haunting and hypnotic. Drenched in dissonance and spectral melodies, each composition is a gateway to the surreal. This is the sound of black metal reimagined - twisted, enigmatic, and transcendent. Emerging from the shadows, channelling the raw spirit of '90s black metal through an avant-garde and experimental lens. Fiery hymns of chaos and transcendence echo through the void, where darkness meets innovation. A journey beyond the boundaries of tradition, into the unknown abyss. Enter the ritual of this Inner Work. Gatefold digisleeve. Already sold out from the label! |
K2 / I.M.d.P. feat SCRPC - 'Discontinuous Prophylactic Grafting Vol.1' CD (Abhorrent Creation Tapes) - £11.50
This is a split CD consisting of two c.30 min tracks: in your face delay/reverb blasts and modular synths from the harsh noise legend K2 (using sounds from live shows with John Wiese); and an intense loud concrete / rhythmic noise / modular frequency battle between I.M.d.P. and SCRPC. Active since 1983, K2 is the personal noise project of Kimihide Kusafuka, who has been making numerous noise works in distinct phases. The current "Phase 3" (2005-present) is focused on mixer feedback noises and electro-core / modular synth work and this album is no exception! Italian experimental Noise project I.M.d.P. (Il Mestruo Delle Puttane) was active from 1998 to 2012. - and from 2023 active with the moniker of I.M.d.P. feat. SCRPC.
Ltd x 500 copies. |
KNURL - 'Obtain By Sacrifice' CD (Krim Kram) - £11.50
Alan Bloor has been recording as Knurl for thirty years now and remains one of the most consistent harsh noise artists in the field. He has released music on pretty much every vital noise label since the 90's, including Deadline Recordings, Self Abuse, Spite, Xerxes, Troniks, Alien8, Phage Tapes, New Forces, Oxen, Absurd Exposition, Rural Isolation Project, and many others. "Obtain By Sacrifice" is another solid entry in his vast discography, presenting seven tracks of amplified junk metal screech and, as Seymour Glass put it, "the saturated clang of pulverized metal grinding jagged holes into your neck like the most sarcastic tracheotomy lesson ever".
"While I was working in welding shops I used to love the sound of the grinders and the radial arm saw as it ripped through metal. [...] I've always been influenced by the environments I've worked in. I've always loved the sounds of banging, scraping, grinding. [...] I used to think it would be great to form a band that could play as loud and fast as a grinder grinding metal. That, of course, never materialized so I took matters into my own hands" (Alan Bloor). Digipak.

MAURIZIO BIANCHI - '603... Annus Mundi' CD (Siren Records) - £13.50
This is the remastered CD edition of "603... Annus Mundi" by Maurizio Bianchi. M.B. played empty synthetic sounds intersected by annihilated noise waves. Originally released by Italian download label Sine3pm (2006) it is now presented for the first time on physical format. "When I decided to compose this work saturated with negativity, I was filled with apocalyptic thoughts and emotions, because inside me I was convinced that the end of this inconsistent system of things was very near. So, I prepared two sound carpets, permeated by saturated sounds and electronic modulations dripping with alienation and desperation. The result amazed me to such an extent that I decided to put a random and indefinite title, '603... Annus Mundi' with the three ellipses, almost as if not to indicate a precise date for the annihilation, but subject to various interpretations, at the discretion of the individual. Thus, the sense of empty frustration was brushed onto the canvas of emptiness, waiting for the end...". This CD edition has been beautifully remastered by Andrew Chalk (Ferial Confine, Organum, ORA, Mirror). Ltd x 200 copies in an outsized card sleeves with collage art and liner-notes insert sheet written by Maurizio BIanchi.

N (118) & BU.D.D.A. - '13' CD (Sym / Drone Records) - £11.50
After the stunning LP on Auf Abwegen by the German/Swiss drone dreamteam, N. and BU.D.D.A. present a new work, thematically based on the adventurous APOLLO 13 mission (April 1970), when the three astronauts circled around the moon several days... An absorbing, cinematic space drone-drama in five chapters, featuring samples from DEAD VOICES ON AIR; different moods and changes, going deeper and deeper. Bu.d.d.A. (short for "Bund des dritten Auges" = League Of The Third Eye) is the duo of EMERGE and B*TONG, whose sound has been described as "TROUM meets EARTH together with ENO".

NEW PROCESSEAN ORDER - 'And Now The Judgment' CD (End Of Kali Yuga Editions) - £12
The fifth album by this Italian spiritual / esoteric post-Industrial project, committed to restore and spread the cult of "The Process - Church of the Final Judgement". 10 apocalyptic songs to relax and enjoy the end of the world! "The latest act of the 'brotherhood' New Processean Order is an album of material composed over the last four years, a chapter that is in clear continuity with the works that preceded it and with the esoteric studies carried out by Alessandro Papa and acolytes in this field. The gnosis of the occultist Robert De Grimston (and not only) return to reverberate on the ten tracks of "And Now The Judgement" expanding the musical field of action of the Order. Here the writing moves with ease on electronic ridges that sometimes even recall Clock DVA. Sidereal curtains of rotating rhythms, sacred registers and martial hues, nocturnal lights and secret codes of a very powerful archaic rite" (Rockerilla). Ltd x 150 copies in a 6-panel digipak. |

ROBERT HAIGH - 'Tempus Fugit: Rare and Unreleased' CD (Siren Records) - £14.50
The tracks on Robert Haigh's trilogy of piano solo albums ('Notes And Crossings', 'Anonymous Lights', and 'Strange And Secret Things') and 'The Silence Of Ghosts' (2015) were carefully selected with consideration for the flow and development of the project. Inevitably some tracks did not fit a particular album and they have remained unreleased regardless of their high quality. The original plan for the 'Tempus Fugit' release was, as the subtitle suggests, to collect and assemble rare and unreleased tracks into an album. In the process, Robert noticed that the project was developing into an album that had a flow and narrative of its own. Considering the structure and progression of the album, he carefully curated ten pieces from his recording archives (including three unreleased tracks from the 'Unseen Worlds' period) and arranged them into a unique album with its own sense of flow. "Tempus Fugit" will be a parting gift to those who have followed his works while at the same time, a useful selection as "a young person's guide to Robert Haigh" to those who have yet to open the door of his music. Distant and plaintive piano melody evolves, ghostly harmonies, reverb soaked landscapes, fragile descending chords; a slow-moving ambient trip across a misty and shadowy terrain, slowly fading to silence. And the silence is significant as Robert is insistent that there will be no more releases after this. Mastered by Denis Blackham (Skye Mastering). Ltd x 300 copies (one-time pressing) in a digipak with sleeve artwork by Robert Haigh and additional design by Saul Haigh. |
SLPWK - 'Andere Sonne' CD (Dunkelheit Produktionen) - £11.50
Exquisite experimental electronics from Poland's SLPWK. "Andere Sonne" offers unique and enticing sounds by this solo project, that has been released a handful of releases over the last 10 years (Sinesia, Audile Snow, self-released tapes etc). SLPWK has a very distinct approach to modular synth song structures - heavy Industrial with a somewhat musical twist. Full synthwaves form structures reminiscent of Inquisition's Industrial project, with the masculine and commanding vocals giving the material a nice Power Electronics feel. Steeped in occult symbolism, SLPWK offers one of the most memorable Post Industrial releases of the last years. Fans of older obscurities will appreciate this just as much as those who like their material upfront and more digestible. Ltd x 200 hand-numbered copies in jewelcase with booklet.

SPUR ON TO XS - 'Indulge In Primal Ecstasy' CD (Dunkelheit Produktionen) - £11.50
Spur On To XS is a promising newcomer from the secret Noise capital of Eindhoven (The Netherlands). This artist pays homage to the Power Electronics genre's legacy by releasing some of the nastiest filth heard in ages. "Indulge In Primal Ecstasy" is a strong full-length debut that showcases many of the attributes that contemporary sonic violence is known for. The suave BDSM graphics hint at the malice and dominating perversion that Spur On To XS stands for. Bruised flesh and dark urges that are as primal and as feral as it gets.
Soundwise, the low rumbles and metalwork remind of Finnish maniacs Contortus or some of the more acquired Green Army Fraction releases, while still focussing on the raw power of feedback PE. The elements are all somewhat traditional, but the way Spur On To XS mixes and rearranges them seems fresh, even to well-trained ears used to Post Industrial ambrosia. Clattering, buried but strong vocals, Corbelli-esque synthesizer work and animalistic screeching - "Indulge In Primal Ecstasy" has it all. Ltd x 200 hand-numbered copies in jewelcase with booklet.

THE GREAT OLD ONES - 'Lands Of Azathoth' CD (Zazen Sounds / Eighth Tower Records) - £12
Cinematic Dark Ambient from Raffaele Pezzella (Sonologyst); music to recreate the Lovecraftian universe of the Mythos. Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the centre of all infinity - the boundless daemon-sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time amidst the muffled, maddening beat of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes... H. P. Lovecraft. The Great Old Ones present "Lands of Azathoth" - an exploration into the unfathomable and chaotic core of Lovecraft's mythos. This third instalment, following the albums "Yog-Sothoth" (2022) and "The Mythos of Cthulhu" (2023), summons the enigmatic dread of Azathoth, the Blind Idiot God who lies at the heart of the cosmos. The music of The Great Old Ones is so profoundly lo-fi and shrouded in dense fog that each melodic line feels submerged, as if suspended in a gelatinous substance - trapped within an alien shell, unable to fully emerge or resonate in the ears of the listener, eternally encased in otherworldly isolation. It offers a unique vision steeped in Lovecraft's portrayal of the universe as a realm of endless chaos. 6-panel digipak Already sold out from the label! |
TZESNE - 'Receptores' CD (Sym / Drone Records) - £11.50
A TRIBUTE TO WHAT SHOULD NOT BE HEARD - the always inspiring Basque artist, a master of 'transconscious' drone music (linking the unknown with our minds), explores the mysteries of shortwave capturings, low fi hiss eruptions, unrecognizable noises of all kinds, a true "ether-therapy"! In the words of the author: "Receptores explores what remains hidden in static, white noise, and interference, using them as the core of its sonic approach. Drawing from lost signals and out-of-range transmission residues, the album reveals the subtle sonic textures that emerge as waves fade away. More than just an experiment, Receptores reclaims noise as the main subject, shaping an erratic and unpredictable soundscape. A work designed for those seeking textures beyond the conventional". Ltd x 250 copies in a 6-panel digisleeve.

UNCODIFIED - 'Erased People' CD (Dunkelheit Produktionen) - £11.50
Among the flag-bearers of contemporary, genre-defining Industrial Noise and Power Electronics from Italy is Uncodified. Fronted by Corrado Altieri (Candor Chasma, New Processean Order, TH26), with an impressive list of releases on labels like Unrest and Old Europa Cafe, Uncodified has been enticing fanatics for more than 10 years. In many ways, the new full-length "Erased People" continues in the footsteps of previous releases with heavy synthwork dominating full-sounding and diverse song-structures that convey a feeling of oppression and exaltation felt in a crumbling, dissonant world. Altieri's very distinct style manages to combine the old and the new; there is definitely a trace of the synth-driven minimalism Atrax Morgue was praised for, but also a great deal of innovation and modern skill.
Another masterpiece by Uncodified. Mastered by Grant Richardson (Gnawed). Ltd x 200 hand-numbered copies in jewelcase with booklet illustrated by Wertham.

The new double vinyl edition features a remaster by James Plotkin, whose expertise breathes new life into the Japanoise milestone, revealing the intricate layers hidden within Masami Akita's amazing sound work. In this reimagined format, the album presents 'Electricwatersheep' divided into two distinct sections. HYBRYDS - 'In The Wake Of The Witch' 2 x CD (Zoharum) - £16
The brand new album from HYBRYDS! More than two hours of dark rituals, haunting percussion, esoteric vocals, and tribal evocative rhythms.
Welcome in the world of shamans, witches, and prophets, womb roar impregnated with smoke of fire and hallucinogenic plants burned. Motifs of various archetypes can be heard in this interweaving of voices: harlots and goddesses, beast and angels, fall and ascension, and some moments of these activities are clearly fixed on sacrifices as a quick way to placate an evil and unpredictable deity, and on the sexual aspect as the embodiment of fertility and the eternal cycles of life perpetuated in the ideas of matriarchy. Suspended somewhere between dream and reality, this fairy-tale world was intricately woven by Magthea (electronics, melodic layer, compositions and sound), TraumaSutra (drums, arrangements), Peter Geysels (wind instruments), with vocals by Madeline Arndt and Katharina Galgareipi. Guest vocals: Demon Pazuzu - a field recording from an exorcism performed by the Catholic church. Ltd x 350 copies in a 6-panel double digipak. |
VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Never Say When' CD (Fourth Dimension) - £12
An absolutely killer compilation from the legendary Broken Flag imprint, originally released in 1987 on cassette (contains the essential two extra tracks that didn't make the LP at the time). Features: Ramleh, Uncommunity, The Grey Wolves, Giancarlo Toniutti, Controlled Bleeding, Total, Maurizio Teho Teardo, Andrew Chalk, Cranioclast, and Jonathan Briley. A perfect document. "Opening with the David Lynch-ian soundtrack of 'Bite The Bolster' by Broken Flag chief Gary Munday's act Ramleh, the tone is set by Cranioclast's unsettling 'and still the world exists', with a bell tolling over slowed down vocals and white noise. Other highlights include The Grey Wolves cut up driven noise, Controlled Bleeding's ethereal orchestral tones, and Andrew Chalks sub sonic synthesiser rumbles. Nothing on here is a song. Grinding and clanking, nursery rhyme snatches flitting in and out between feedback and metal percussion. Disembodied narrators and creaking compete for space. This is beyond music and well into aural performance art" (Outsideleft). Remastered by Puppy38. Ltd x 500 copies in a gatefold mini-LP sleeve faithful to the distinctive original Cranioclast designed LP cover. Already sold out from the label! |
DEAD BODY LOVE / ATRAX MORGUE - 'Dead Body Love / Atrax Morgue' LP (Urashima) - £24
Reissue of a split tape, originally released on Slaughter Productions in 1995. By juxtaposing the crushing avalanches of sound from Dead Body Love with the penetrating intensity of Atrax Morgue, this release serves as a visceral experience that celebrates the true essence of industrial noise. "Dead Body Love's material exemplified aspects of crushing avalanches of crumbling sound, layered and sometimes delayed... Then you take the obsessions and the lines of moving sound and have them expressed by something like the fanatical Atrax Morgue. Fearsome concentration and jarring meditation on lines of warbling and predatory analogue synth work portray something invariably real about the obsession acted out from the Italian project. A different display of penetrative and studied sound seethes from Atrax Morgue as now the listener is confronted with a sound that pits throbbing and rough synth against haunting and manic vocalisations, disturbing the listener with its undeniable dedicated concentration. The resulting material from DBL and Atrax Morgue makes use of dark and rough early industrial-like lines and meld into eventual crushing forces. In the vein of Atrax Morgue, samples are also manipulated and drawn out for the listener reminding us of his more delay heavy work. Atrax Morgue's material works with DBL's material almost seamlessly via further haunting and throbbing dark material, slowly churning and deconstructing into his own distinct sound of heavily concentrated focus and mania for singular sounds and how they can repeat, move and create total atmosphere. A celebrated once in a lifetime example of a split release" (Sam McKinlay, The Rita). Ltd x 199 copies presented in an eye-catching printed kraft lunch bag format (sticker sealed), with new notes by Gabriele Giuliani (Dead Body Love). |

JARL - 'Receptor Radiation' CD (Zoharum) - £11.50
Eric Jarl's (IRM, ex-SKIN AREA) new album "Receptor Radiation" consists of four lengthy tracks (around an hour in total), each mapped onto an escalating scale of radiation, subtitled 25% to 100%. Soundwise, this is a continuation from earlier publications such as "Isolation Colours", "Mind Rotation" and "Neurotransmitters-Sphere-Music". Melodic, hypnotic, psychedelic, intense, repetitive sounds from analogue synthesizers with different colour chords. A soundtrack for the brain and human nervous system with signals sent to the brain in the form of electrical signals so biological transducers convert energy from both external and internal environments into electrical impulses. "Like a slow-burning signal transmitted from the deep recesses of consciousness... Pulsing, hypnotic quasi-rhythms emerge, building layers of sound that feel like they're synchronizing with the listener's neural pathways. There's a clear nod here to the sequencer-driven worlds of Klaus Schulze or the stark minimalism of Eliane Radigue, but Jarl's approach is distinctly his own - a balance of melodic simplicity and cerebral complexity... an electrical storm of tones and textures that feels like the nervous system firing on all cylinders" (Chain DLK). Mastered by Peter Andersson (Raison D'etre). Ltd x 300 copies in a 6-panel digipak. |
H.Ö.H. - 'Epäjohdonmukainen' CD (Freak Animal) - £11.50
H.Ö.H. has made its name in presenting some of the most primitive, hand made and strange noise. The new album "Epäjohdonmukainen" is perhaps taking the project to an even more challenging form. The familiar broken sounds take the form of short bursting lofi eruptions. H.Ö.H. works purely with analogue production, including the analogue master tape for this album. The recordings that didn't touch a computer before being digitised for CD. To preserve the spirit of the material, nothing has been compressed or cleaned up. The utterly decayed and charming sound is perfectly visualised in the equally crude design of the 6-panel digipak cover by Manuel Pereira. |
IN SPITE OF DREAMS - 'Subject:Empty' CD (Misanthropic Agenda) - £11.50
Debut release of destroyed industrial hip hop. In Spite Of Dreams is music for subjective realities. "Poisonous downtempo drips, loaded with heavy rhythms, infused with saturation and energetic noise... At the crossroads of genres, In Spite Of Dreams builds titles rooted in a precious alchemy, a precarious balance between obsidian hardness and foggy urbanity, supernatural humanity and painful science fiction. Captivating" (Silence And Sound). In Spite of Dreams is San Francisco's Gerritt Wittmer (Deathroes). Mastered by the legendary Tom Baker (Motown, Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, Beastie Boys, and more). Matt-laminate digipak with spot-varnish. |
BROTHERHOOD OF SLEEP - 'Devotional Hymns To A Brilliant Flaming Sun' CD (Winter-Light) - £11.50
The debut album by renowned Belgian artist Bart Piette's new project, Brotherhood Of Sleep.
"Devotional Hymns To A Brilliant Flaming Sun" is constructed of five lengthy Ritual Dark Ambient pieces employing powerful percussive elements and deep drones, traditional instruments, chants and invocations. Skillfully-crafted tracks, draw the listener to a point of deep focus and guide them on to the next path of the journey, culminating in an auditory gaze into infinity. "Energy directed through the opened mouths of the singing skulls, facilitated by mantra and multiplied several times by vocalisations through the mouths of other singing skulls, that are placed on stupas throughout the Temple". Bart also records music as NDE and Dead Man's Hill. Mastered by Ronald Mariën (Stratosphere). Ltd x 300 copies in a 6-panel digisleeve with artwork by Abby Helasdottir (Gydja). |
NÆRVÆRET - 'Når Man Ser Inn I En Annens Hjerte' LP (Satatuhatta) - £22
Nærværet is a Scandinavian collaboration from Mattias Gustafsson (Altar of Flies, Barstool Mountain) and Andreas Barsleth (Jordmenneske). If you are familiar with their individual works, you'll know they operate on the same wavelength. On "Når Man Ser Inn I En Annens Hjerte'" they've created something truly beautiful: serene landscapes of tangible presence. Comforting sounds, gathered from rural surroundings blend seamlessly with restrained, still instrumentation. These elements are manipulated with tapes and loops, crafting a daydream you'll want to revisit again and again. Recorded in Mjölby and Lillehammer 2023, mainly with tape loops, tape manipulations, acoustic laptop and field recordings. Mastered by Pentti Dassum (Umpio). Comes with double-sided insert. |
