NEW COLD SPRING RELEASES

VA - 'Salò or The 120 Days Of Sodom' - OUT 13th FEB 2026
LP 'BLOOD RED' £20 Adv. | CD £9 Adv.

Bandcamp  Soundcloud

The first time on any format for Pier Paolo Pasolini's controversial 1975 vision of the Marquis De Sade's 120 Days Of Sodom, featuring beautiful and discordant classical compositions, in stark contrast to the shocking and cruel events unfolding onscreen.

Three weeks before the scandalous release of "Salò, or The 120 Days Of Sodom", Pasolini was brutally murdered in Ostia, Italy. In the wake of the tragedy, legendary composer Ennio Morricone wrote 'Addio a Pier Paolo Pasolini' (Goodbye to Pier Paolo Pasolini) for the late filmmaker, included in the final edit.

Following the narrative of one of Pasolini's defining cinematic moments, the soundtrack opens with Ennio Morricone's "Son Tanto Triste", descends into the melancholic minor chords of Bach, Chopin, Orff, Puccini, and Graziosi, incorporates sinister renditions by the cast, and includes Morricone's own sombre tribute to the director.

Disgusted by the flood of crass sexploitation movies which filled the space opened up by his "Trilogy Of Life", Pasolini turned to the most nihilistic thinker in European history for what became his final film. His version of De Sade's 120 Days Of Sodom, amplified with motifs from Dante's Inferno, confronts the ultimate implications of fascism in a series of sexual and moral atrocities. "The only true anarchy is power".

The LP / CD will be released on Friday 13th February 2026, exactly 249 years since the Marquis de Sade was arrested and imprisoned in the dungeon of the Vincennes fortress for charges of "debauchery and immoderate libertinage" that scandalised his contemporaries.

400 LONELY THINGS - 'Creature Comforts' + Why I Went To The Woods' - OUT 9th JAN 2026

400 Lonely Things present two beautiful, entwined releases - one, the soundtrack to a perceived isolated apocalypse filled with psychoactive melancholia and ugly lullabies, evoking an acute sense of horror, bewilderment and bereavement... and its twin, devouring hauntological dream worlds inspired by the fictional filmed landscapes of psychedelic folk and benignly sinister pagan nights in the wild forests...

"These albums are opposite sides of the same coin, which is why they are being released in tandem. The coin being, in this analogy, the 2024 National Election in the US and its place in the world's entropic trajectory, and my own emotions in the time since. Thematically different, they are both visceral reactions to these subsequent points in time in which they were made".

"CREATURE COMFORTS"

With the idea that this album would be lullabies for the end of a world, I started seeking out soothing vocal samples and hypnotic audio beds and simple melodies and set about roughing them up to form a soundtrack to my perceived isolated apocalypse. These songs would be ugly on the surface, sad and angry and defeated and more than a little unhinged but, like David's paintings, hopefully have a heart that would show through the scarring... [read the full story of the release here].

"WHY I WENT TO THE WOODS"

Inspired equally by both the fictional filmed landscapes of psychedelic folk - the bucolic British countryside of the 1960s and 1970s which, though I've never witnessed in real life, still fill me with an inexplicable melancholic yearning to return home - and the benignly sinister pagan nights of our young wild forests here in the States... Music that would be suitable for all woodland creatures and ethereal beings of the melancholy forest. [read the full story of the release here].

With a massive 2.5 hours of music over two discs each, these albums are available for purchase individually, or together as a bundle.

2LP 'FIRE RED' + CD £35 Adv. | 2LP 'COLD WHITE' + CD £30 Adv. | 2LP BLACK + CD £28 Adv.

We mark a decade since we first released Coil's landmark album 'Backwards', with a special 10 year anniversary vinyl reissue. All editions come in a gatefold matt-laminate sleeve with silver detail.

ALL ORDERS DIRECT FROM THE COLD SPRING STORE / BANDCAMP INCLUDE: THE FIRST EVER RELEASE OF THE FULL 'BACKWARDS DEMOS' (10-track CD), POSTER AND ARTCARD.

After the ground-breaking release of 1990's "Love's Secret Domain" album, Coil were not dormant; the main project was "Backwards", which was started in 1992, updated considerably between 1993 and 1995, and transferred in 1996 to New Orleans, where it was finished in the magic of the Nothing studios of Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails). The album saw the fruition of Jhonn Balance's recent vocal coaching, producing haunting, passionate vocals, while reaching new heights.

23 years after its initiation, these tracks have been beautifully preserved by Danny Hyde and are finally available in highest quality audio. Differing substantially from the later, remixed incarnation, "The New Backwards" (2008), "Backwards" contains the original versions of Coil's much-loved tracks; 'A Cold Cell' and 'Fire Of The Mind', which have appeared on various compilations over the years, and are now presented as originally intended.

CHIMEHOURS - 'Underneath The Earth'
CD £11.50 / LP Black £20 | LP Ltd Earth Green £23 - OUT NOW!

 Bandcamp  Soundcloud  Soundcloud   YouTube

"Underneath The Earth" is the debut album from Chimehours; a hauntological music project for the dislocated present day. Taking inspiration from Max Porter's novel "Lanny", the album digs into themes of nature, myth and community, with an edge of folk-horror.

Drones, drums and gritty guitars are juxtaposed with woodwind, strings and ethereal song. Written and produced between Derbyshire, London and Margate, the album takes musical influence from the likes of Liz Fraser, Broadcast, Beth Gibbons, Bibio and Jóhann Jóhannsson, and atmospheric cues from The Wickerman, The Fog, and Enys Men.

Chimehours is a collaboration between Beck Goldsmith and Jon Dix. The pair have previously performed in bands together and composed music for award-winning film and television. They conjured up this foray into cinematic, horror-flecked contemporary-folk to explore their love of the supernatural and the other-than-human.

Chimehours raid the vaults of 70's British cinema and trad folk soundscapes to riff on contemporary anxieties and ecological yearning. They conjured up this foray into cinematic, horror-flecked contemporary-folk to explore their love of the supernatural and the other-than-human. The result is a collection of all things earthy, exquisite and grotesque.

FFO: Darkher, The Unthanks, Wardruna, Jóhann Jóhannsson...

LLYN Y CWN - 'Megaliths In Dub'
CD £11.50. OUT NOW!

  Bandcamp  Soundcloud  Download

A deep reworking of Llyn Y Cwn's "Megaliths" (2024). The original was a profound dark ambient exploration of the sacred resonance embedded within stone circles; "Megaliths In Dub" is the echo beneath the surface, the unheard rhythm that has always been there.

The megaliths stand - timeless, unyielding. Their histories stretch beyond recorded memory, their presence imbued with silent narratives of the land. "Megaliths" sought to channel this ancient energy into pure sound. Yet no history exists without its counterpart - no creation without its shadow.

On "Megaliths In Dub", suppressed tempos emerge, pulsing with the primal force of forgotten rites. Guitar invocations from the live rituals weave through the fabric of the album, distorting and reshaping the familiar, exquisite dark ambient Llyn Y Cwn has become renowned for.

It is a sonic metamorphosis - a spectral reflection of the megalithic presence. The stones have been disturbed.

Presented in a 6-panel digipak with breathtaking photography by the artist.

ATTRITION / ALU - 'Attrition / Alu' CD (Peripheral Minimal) - £11

A self-titled split album which seemingly accentuates the desolate paranoia of the 1980's cold-war period by both acts' usage of daunting electronic instrumentation, post-industrial angst and a generous helping of existentialist experimentalism. It's perhaps unsurprising then that both Attrition and ALU hail from two cities [Coventry and Berlin] utterly destroyed by the constant bombing raids of the RAF and the Luftwaffe during WW2. Rebuilt into ultimately, naïve idealistic visions of the future, i.e. ring-roads, underpasses, Brutalist high-rise concrete blocks and a sense of utilitarian post-modernist uniformity, not to mention a sense of dystopian dread. "Creating and exploring rich shadowy electronic soundscapes...interweaving the ephemeral with the operatic, the sound can at once calm your soul and chill your bones..." (The Hatchet). The resultant recordings recall works by other artists who were working in a similarly discordant fashion, specifically Cabaret Voltaire, Nocturnal Emissions or even the abstract, absurdist and surrealist collage-noise of Nurse With Wound. It is without doubt forgotten treasure, repackaged and remastered as an antidote to 21st century disquiet. "We aim to store as many sounds, noise and rhythmic frameworks as possible in our synthesizers and drum machines as we allow them to unfold naturally when we play live. Words and vocals are snapshots, spontaneous phenomena" (ALU ,1983). Ltd x 200 copies in a gatefold ecopak.
DAWID CHRAPLA - 'Un Natural Fields' CD (Zazen Sounds) - £12

"Unnatural Fields" is a profound continuation of Dawid Chrapla's (Synapsis) sonic investigation into the fragile threshold where nature and industry converge. He crafts an immersive passage through contrasting realms: field recordings drawn from forests, ponds, and quiet natural enclaves are intertwined with the vast metallic resonance of a nearby steelworks. In this fusion, the organic and the mechanical breathe together - sometimes harmoniously, sometimes in tense opposition - forming a hypnotic tapestry of sound that challenges the listener's perception of environment and place. "Unnatural Fields" stands as a contemplative reflection on how humanity and nature coexist within the modern acoustic landscape, revealing beauty in conflict, stillness in machinery, and meaning in the spaces where worlds overlap. Prepare to enter a terrain where the living earth hums with iron lungs, and where sound becomes a map of the unseen relationships shaping our world. Gatefold digisleeve. Already sold out from the label!
ERIC RANDOM - 'Bone Of Contention' CD (All Horned Animals) - £12.50

This new album by Eric Random coincides with the start of the last Cabaret Voltaire tour, for which Eric has joined as a member. The album marks a contrast to his most recent releases, less dance-oriented, with a darker pop tone and a cinematic, soundtrack-like atmosphere. Eric Random is a cult figure of the British electronic scene and one of the true pioneers of post-punk electronica. Growing up in Manchester, Random joined Pete Shelley of Buzzcocks and drummer Francis Cookson in 1978 to form the very short-lived The Tiller Boys, an experimental trio that debuted supporting Joy Division at Manchester's Factory Club. After the group disbanded, Random founded Free Agents and became involved with the Sheffield electronic underground, working closely with Cabaret Voltaire and recording his first solo material at their Western Works Studios. During this period, he developed a distinctive sound language blending industrial minimalism, electro-funk, and electronic experimentation. In the early 1980's, Random formed The Bedlamites, a group that explored a fusion of electronic, post-punk, and world music elements. Around the same time, he joined The Faction, the final band of Nico (The Velvet Underground). From 1982 until her passing, he toured and performed with her, notably playing the tabla at her 1986 solo concert at The Live Inn in Shibuya, Tokyo. Jewelcase with obi strip.
MAGICAL POWER MAKO - 'Next Millennium Vibrations' CD (All Horned Animals) - £12.50

Originally released in 1993, "Next Millennium Vibrations" drifts through warped tape loops, ambient zones and sampled oriental percussion with comical electronics, conjuring a surreal, meditative and disorienting atmosphere. Mako weaves fractured beats with ethereal melodies, blending kosmische, lo-fi psychedelia, and avant-garde experimentation. Composer Toru Takemitsu introduced Mako to Polydor, who released his 1974 debut album, "Magical Power", featuring Keiji Haino on vocals. Music as ritual has been a central motif in Mako's work. With his playful aesthetic and his arcane approach to live performances, often taking the form of channeling rituals, incorporating elements from alien communications, psychic networking to Buddhist symbolism, Mako perpetuated a personal mythology. Magical Power Mako passed away unexpectedly on February 7, 2025. This reissue release was planned and authorized by Mako before his passing. Jewelcase with obi strip with
artwork by Yuko Asano, using stills from her animation movie "The Western Mantra" (1980).
MATAR (ADI NEWTON) - 'Archaeoacoustics' CD (Sleepers) - £12.50

Originally released on vinyl (2024, Sleepers), this CD edition of "Archaeoacoustics" features five additional tracks exclusive to this release. The MATAR project was founded by Adi Newton (TAG / SOON / Clock DVA) in 2016 in collaboration with Michael Esposito (an American pioneering EVP researcher), and Sarah Rosalena Brady (an American Violinist and Assistant Professor of Art at UC Santa Barbara), with a number of special performances in the US and Europe. "Archaeoacoustics" has been developed over 5 years using live binaural beat frequency recordings at Stone Henge and field recordings from the Hurlers site in Minions / Bodmin Moor. Rooted in archaeoacoustics, the project investigates the intersections between archaeological and astrophysical theories, ancient spiritual systems, and metaphysical concepts, exploring these through psychoacoustic technology, specialized frequencies, and immersive audio-visual works that push beyond conventional description. Dedicated to Z'EV. Ltd x 300 copies in a digipak with obi strip. Includes a QR code linking to the full 14-page "Archaeoacoustics" booklet.
MATERIÆ ABYSSU - 'Aëthÿrinn Na Viixhræ' CD (Zazen Sounds) - £12

Tampere's Materiæ Abyssu (Rev. Matron Thorn) unveils its most ambitious and otherworldly creation to date. Joined by the enigmatic female vocalist Ishtariæ, whose spectral presence elevates the work into demonic, mystic dominions, the recording radiates with nightward majesty and forbidden intimations of occult allegiance. The title "Aëthÿrinn Na Viixhræ" is drawn from the Lexethræum of Áltharósian mysticism, the New Age religion founded by Rev. Matron Thorn in 2025. Each composition reflects the core principles of the five Ëmpyrean realms as outlined in the Áltharós Oraclæum. In alignment with this metaphysical system, all lyrics performed by Ishtariæ are written in the meditative Áltharósian language, invoking the transcendent emanations that define this spiritual architecture. Neo-noir futurism permeates the album's sonic design, weaving new age ritualism, darkwave gloom, industrial weight, dark ambient voids, and world-music inflections into a cohesive, apocalyptic vision. An expression of the human condition at the brink of transformation. Mixed and mastered by Richard Corvinus (Swords Of Dis), whose production sharpens the album's transcendental edge. 6-panel digisleeve. Already sold out from the label!
NOCTURNAL EMISSIONS / NIGEL AYERS - 'Reports Of Debris' CD (All Horned Animals) - £12.50

This is the first-ever compilation bringing together Nigel Ayers' solo work and his long-running project Nocturnal Emissions. Covering recordings from the early 1980's up to 2024, it spans more than four decades of experimental sound. Nocturnal Emissions is recognized as one of the earliest and most uncompromising industrial / noise groups, standing alongside Throbbing Gristle, SPK, and Cabaret Voltaire. Their sound sits at the intersection of raw industrial electronics, noise, and electronic Dada, fusing harsh textures, tape collage, and rhythm in a constantly evolving hybrid form. This compilation, fully remastered in Tokyo, traces the major phases of Nocturnal Emissions and Nigel Ayers' work, spanning raw, confrontational noise rooted in the squatting scene and anti-capitalist protest of the early 1980's; the rhythm-driven period that brought dancefloor energy to industrial grit; and Ayers' later solo "Neotantric" phase of ambient, ritualistic sound exploring magick, ancient beliefs and altered states while carrying forward a spirit of subversion and transcendence that remains entirely intact decades later. Across these eras, this collection (with many tracks featuring Caroline K.), captures the full breadth of Ayers' creative journey and moves between intense, layered noise and quiet, atmospheric soundscapes blending field recordings, spoken word, electronics, and collage. Jewelcase with obi strip.

PHILIPPE LAURENT - 'Phoenix' 12" WHITE (Peripheral Minimal) - £15

A new (to our mailorder) 12" by French electronic pioneer, Philippe Laurent, following the infectious synthetic classic 12", "Mithra". "Phoenix" is a three track vinyl (25 mins) featuring two brand new tracks on the A-Side: 'Phoenix', and, 'Agapao'. Meanwhile over on the B-Side, we have the 13-minute electronic opus and highly representative of his early work, 'Exposition 4' - a never before released track from Philippe's extensive archive, recorded in 1982. The work Is representative of Philippe's latest forays into contemporary synth music, but still with a retro futurist edge and influenced partly by German pioneers Kraftwerk / late 70's Kosmische and au courant electro / synthwave acts, fitting into the current enthusiasm for early 80's synth pop and minimal wave. Ltd x 300 copies on white vinyl.

SIELWOLF - 'Zwischenstation' CD (Zazen Sounds) - £12

Sielwolf have released numerous albums since 1989, always walking a fine line between harsh industrial expression and later, deeply personal experiments such as dub mutations and dark ambient structures - yet always in their unmistakable style. Over the years, the raw noise gave way to more atmospheric forms, eventually paving the way for their collaborations with Ritual Dark Ambient / Drone collective Nam-Khar. This is an album of forgotten material, created during a period marked by disappearance, transition, and inner upheaval. "I consider this my sixth Sielwolf record, and I call it "The Lost Tapes". It represents the core of my recurring fever dreams - an attempt to process long-standing fears while moving toward new forms of self-determination. Deformed found voices, damp cellar percussions, fractured drones, mechanical metronomes, church-organ shadows, and distressed sound patterns merge into a nihilistic landscape of moods. These are decaying fragments from a state devoid of inner light. Sometimes regression is necessary to understand, to survive, to transform. These recordings are reports from the Zwischenstation - the in-between place where dissolution becomes revelation". Gatefold digisleeve. Already sold out from the label!
VATICAN SHADOW / THE GREY WOLVES - 'Sickness In The Right / Gulf War Syndrome' LP (Total Black / Hospital Productions) - £26

Unreleased archival wrekordings / artwar from The Grey Wolves and early Vatican Shadow cassette manipulations / desert storms including 'Ready To Die' - a new Vatican Shadow track (aka Dominick Fernow of Prurient) with Salford Electronics (aka Dave Padbury of The Grey Wolves). Industrial bleakness and cold rhythms - The Grey Wolves' side-long track is particularly harsh! Pressed on 180gm black vinyl. Includes a massive folded poster of 6-colour desert camo on one side and night desert camo on the other - 40 days and 40 nights - plus four B&W inserts (2 x 12" square and 2x A4) of unseen artwork, packaged in sturdy flood-printed jacket.
VIZ MICHAEL KREMIETZ - 'Ambient Koan' CD (Sleepers) - £12.50

Zen flutist Viz Michael Kremiet teams with FAUST (experimental sounds), TROUM (transcendent drones), Limpe Fuchs (voice / violin), Lucia Dinand (haunting vocals), and Reiko Ozaki (traditional Japanese lullaby). "Ambient Koan" represents a profound synthesis of three decades of experimental music exploration and 25 years of Zen practice. Kremietz emerges from the liminal spaces between breath, sound, and meditation, anchored by the ancient voice of the Shakuhachi flute. The album weaves together solo compositions originally created for theatre and performance with collaborative pieces featuring some of Europe's most innovative experimental musicians. Each track serves as a sonic meditation, inviting listeners into "unknown dimensions with pre-verbal and pre-symbolic origins". Kremietz's artistic practice centres on the Shakuhachi's unique ability to make breath audible, combining breathing, music, and meditation into a singular transcendent experience. His performances have taken him to sacred spaces worldwide, including the burial chamber of the Great Pyramid of Cheops and Aleister Crowley's former abbey in Cefalù, Sicily - where he recorded 'Fire of the Mind', as a homage to COIL's Jhonn Balance and Peter Christopherson. Ltd x 300 copies in a digipak with 18-page booklet.

THE ANTI GROUP - '4 X 12' CD (Peripheral Minimal / Anterior Research Media Comm) - £13

The tracks here originally appeared on four separate 12"s: "ShT" (1985), "Ha - Zulu" (1986), "Big Sex" (1987) and "Broadcast Test" (1989). They were conceived to represent "The Symbolism of The Great Work" (Magnum opus), which is an alchemical term for the process of working with the prima materia to create the philosopher's stone. It has been used to describe personal and spiritual transmutation in the Hermetic tradition, attached to laboratory processes and chemical colour changes, used as a model for the individuation process, and as a device in art and literature. The accompanying booklet goes further into the Occult and Esoteric ideas that T.A.G.C. where researching and implementing into these recordings. Also included are two exclusive remixes by the late Richard H Kirk (Cabaret Voltaire), produced and developed by Adi Newton in 2019. Remastered by Jacque Beloeil. Ltd x 500 copies in an A5 digipak including a 16-page facsimile of the original booklets included with "Ha - Zulu" / "ShT".

VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Prophecy + Progress: UK Electronics 1978-1990' LP (Peripheral Minimal) - £19

A 13-track compilation that represents the burgeoning Electronic music scene in the UK. An eclectic mix of acts that were experimenting with newly available technology during the years 1978-1990. Although electronic experimentation had been explored in the decades before, a myriad of experimenters were recording 'alien, eerie, sterile, austere and vaguely menacing' music in Industrial cities like Sheffield or post-war London. The antidote to the Thatcher government at the time seemed to be a quiet rebellion in the shape of dark and alienating soundscapes by acts that are now considered pioneers, or have achieved cult status. It's an attempt to rekindle those heady days of experimentation and to encourage new generations to rebel and forgo the fashionable posturing that comes with anything vaguely 'interesting'. Features: Clock DVA, Vice Versa, Colin Potter, Konstruktivists, Naked Lunch, Five Times Of Dust, Schleimer K, V-Sor X, Attrition, Peter Hope + David Harrow, John Costello, T.A.C.G. (The Anti Group), and John Avery. Ltd x 500 copies.

VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Prophecy + Progress: UK Electronics 1978-1990 Volumes I + II' 2 x CD (Peripheral Minimal) - £16

Following on from 2018's V/A "Prophecy + Progress: UK Electronics 1978-1990" LP, this double CD contains all the original tracks from Volume I and a further 13-tracks for Volume II. Both discs also contain a bonus track. This compilation represents the burgeoning Electronic music scene in the UK. An eclectic mix of acts that were experimenting with newly available technology during the years 1978-1990. SONOLOGYST - 'Silencers' LP (Nocturnal Anomalies) - £21

We are thrilled to finally be able to offer the 2017 vinyl version of this brilliant album, reissued by Cold Spring onto CD the following year (CSR253CD). Eerie drones, oscillations from the ether, distorted dark matter, signals from other dimensions... The music of Sonologyst fluctuates between scientific sonic documentaries and psychedelic abstraction, illuminated by early experimentation of the 50's and 60's, as well as future possibilities of the electronic and electro-acoustic."Silencers (The Conspiracy Theory Dossiers)" is inspired by the testimonies of those who have had contact with the so-called "Silencers" or "Men in Black". Federal agents? Aliens? International conspirators? Sonologyst makes a documentary in music, including spy tech, declassified documents, official recordings, control techs, secreted scientific information, CIA Deep Black Programs, NASA classified tapes, Secret societies and breakaway civilization hypotheses. Recommended for those who follow the nebulous paths of Inade, Schloss Tegal, Bad Sector, Lustmord. Ltd x 300 copies.
THE GREY LAKE - 'The Grey Lake' CD (Winter-Light) - £11.50

The Grey Lake is a long-distance collaboration between two artists, built from an exchange of tones, drones, found sounds, and field recordings. The project's name reflects both artists' identities and creative approaches: the dark ambient soundscapes of Ben Powell (LLYN Y CWN) merge with the reel-to-reel tape manipulations and granular textures of Christopher Olson (STANDARD GREY). Together, they craft new sonic tableaux and evocative atmospheres for the imagination. Dense, immersive drones, delicately layered textures, and rich, enveloping dark ambience. Mastered by Robin Storey (Rapoon). "Dark sounds that immerse the listener in a misty, hazy, and secluded atmosphere... An intercontinental collaboration resulting in music that captures the harsh, desolate, and simultaneously beautiful aspects of wild nature. At times, the music sounds as bleak as the weather can be in some godforsaken place. The interplay between dark ambient and tape manipulation works wonderfully, creating a delightfully wintry album" (Luminous Dash). Ltd x 300 copies in a 6-panel digisleeve.
VARIOUS ARTISTS - 'Codex Of Pleasure And Pain - A Sonic Tribute to Clive Barker's Hellraiser' CD (Eighth Tower Records / Unexplained Sounds) - £12

"Codex Of Pleasure And Pain" is a dark sonic journey inspired by one of the most iconic and disturbing visions in modern horror cinema. Drawing from the imagery, themes, and atmosphere of Clive Barker’s Hellraiser (1987), this compilation assembles 11 projects from the dark ambient, experimental, and post-industrial scenes to create an immersive experience that echoes the film's haunting exploration of pain, pleasure, and the limits of human sensation. The artists offer abstract, oblique responses to its aesthetic and philosophical implications. The compilation functions as a sonic codex, an aural grimoire of sorts, where each piece contributes to a broader cosmology of the Hellraiser universe. Features: 400 Lonely Things, Sonologyst + VÄäristymä, Paolo L. Bandera, Philippe Blache, Grey Frequency, Phoanøgramma, Kokum, Mario Lino Stancati, Nerthus, VÄäristymä, and Sílení. In Hellraiser, Clive Barker introduced a world in which reality fractures under the weight of forbidden desire. The puzzle box - the Lament Configuration - is both a gateway and a warning, opening a portal to a dimension ruled by the Cenobites, beings who transcend the binary of agony and ecstasy. The film challenged conventional horror, embedding philosophical and existential questions within its gore-soaked narrative. Ltd x 150 copies in a matt digipak.
ROBERT TURMAN - 'Distant Dosage' LP CLEAR (Dead Mind Records) - £23

Robert Turman first came onto the Industrial scene in the late 70's as the ominous 'other half' of legendary noise outfit NON. Shortly after recording the classic 1977 single Mode Of Infection, he went on to pursue his own unique vision as a solo artist. Fusing every possible influence at his disposal while laying his ideas down on self-released cassettes like Flux (1981), Spirals of Everlasting Change (1987), Way Down (1987) and the massive Chapter Eleven cassette boxset (1988). Turman resurfaced in 2005 to team up with seminal noise musician Aaron Dilloway, and has been gradually adding new titles to his already impressive discography. For this archival release Turman selected seven tracks that were recorded 1980-1984. This album fits in nicely between his early industrial noise, the long-form minimalism of Flux and the rhythmic industrial of Way Down, focusing on slowly shifting hypnotic loop-based layers of sound. "Absolutely psychotic, psychedelic brilliance here, that makes links from Dadaism and surrealism to industrial music and noise" (Boomkat). Clear vinyl in a reverseboard sleeve with full-size printed insert.
ONASANDER - 'Under Unknown Stars' CD (Dark Odyssey Records) - £11.50

Known for excellent albums on Winter Light (plus collaborations with Alphaxone, Empusae, Gydja, Kloob, Ajna, and may more), Onasander takes us on a journey into space ambience and deep atmospherics. "The explorers' spacecraft touched down on the mysterious planet, bathed in the alien glow of its unfamiliar star system. Eager anticipation mixed with trepidation as they stepped onto the uncharted terrain. They were surrounded by mutant alien plants that seemed to pulsate with otherworldly energy. The flora exhibited bizarre shapes and hues, adapting to the unique conditions of this extraterrestrial world. As the team delved deeper into the terrain, they stumbled upon foreboding caves, their entrances adorned with luminescent fungi. Unbeknownst to them, these caves concealed dangerous inhabitants, evolved over eons to survive in the subterranean darkness. As the explorers pressed forward, the eerie silence was shattered by unexpected movements within the shadows, revealing the planet's secrets and the perilous challenges that awaited them in the depths of the unknown". Gatefold digisleeve.
TITHING - 'At The Mystery's End' LP (Ætheric Recordings) - £23

Canada's Tithing (neé Tithe) conjures a lush and haunting dark folk. Eleven songs traverse the arcana of the soul and explore the deeply poignant process of reawakening. Wandering melodies and powerful orchestration ebb and flow between S.P Haché's complex finger-picking, while his character baritone is joined by a myriad of voices to spin occult tales with arcane allegory and surreptitious symbolism. Each autobiographical song was conceived with a specific symbol set in mind, informing the words, tonality, and even the instrumentation chosen to sympathetically enhance the magic at work. What has emerged is a haunting dark folk balancing sumptuous bombast and subtle beauty, extracting inspiration from the lush largesse of 2000's post-industrial luminaries such as Current 93, Dead Can Dance, and Rome. Walking the path of the Fool's journey, Tithing has traversed the abyss to transmute the ashes of the past into a fresh vision of spiritual gold. Ltd x 150 copies.
TEMPLE OF CLEAR LIGHT - 'Communion' CD (Live Bait Recording Foundation) - £12

Temple Of Clear Light is Dan Serbanescu (Alone In The Hollow Garden / Tanz Ohne Musik). "Communion" is a collection of thelemic devotional pieces created at the confluence of a vast array of styles, incorporating old school industrial structures, real metal and junk percussion, the piercing synths of the 80's, tribal trance elements, experimental modular synth textures, dark pop beats, neofolk flavours and psychedelic electronics. An offering to the diversity blooming from the modern world's Aquarian chaos and maelstrom of information, in which grounding in the inner spaces and personal truth is crucial to establish a point of balance and also to refine the ability to find sacred mysticism in the mundane experiences. Originally self-released in July 2025 in an extremely low edition of just 20 CDR copies, this CD-proper edition of 200 copies is packed in a matt-finish digisleeve, created and designed by Dan Serbanescu.
LUIGI TURRA / ELIO MARTUSCIELLO - 'Liminale' LP (Die Schachtel) - £23

On their debut collaboration, Luigi Turra and Elio Martusciello weave microscopic textures, fleeting vocalizations, and minimal instrumental gestures into a soundscape that explores the thresholds between memory, space, and perception. An aural bridge between two distinct generations of Italian experimental musicians, "Liminale", as its title eludes, is an exploration of the liminal through sonic means: "places that exist on the threshold, transitional spaces suspended between a before and an after, between the real and the evanescent" conceiving the soundscape as a liminal place. Slow-paced guitar tones and harmonics, delicately populated by tiny sounds, vocal utterances, intoxicating piano tones, metallic pulses, minimal vibrations, guitar harmonics, and deconstructed piano melodies, and drifting gauzy hazes create an imagistic and immersive landscape. Intimate, fragile, and achingly beautiful, "Liminale" is a masterstroke in soundcraft and composition, revealing the potency of meaning locked within transitional spaces and the undefined, and imbuing silence with monumental gravity and weight. Mastered for vinyl by Giuseppe Ielas. Ltd x 200 copies on 180g heavyweight vinyl, housed in a silkscreened cover and outer PVC sleeve, designed by Bruno Stucchi.
KRISTOFFER OUSTAD - 'Magnor' CD (Zoharum) - £11.50

Kristoffer Oustad returns with "Magnor", a deep exploration of dark electronic music; a bold, cinematic soundscape rooted in classic industrial and dark ambient traditions. With a very personal and forward thinking approach, at its core lies the theme of spiritual belonging. "Magnor" represents a place, a direction and a state; let this soundtrack be a compass, and there will be countless treasures hidden along the way. A decade after his first solo album ("Filth Haven", Malignant Records), "Magnor" was composed and matured over several years, crafted using analogue and modular synthesizers, minimal post-production, with a strong focus on structure, dynamics, and atmosphere. The music is performed rather than programmed, lending it a sense of presence and authenticity, forming a crucial part of the album's character. Norway's Kristoffer Oustad also records as Stromstad, Plague Machinery, V:28, V:O:I:D, and has collaborated with Industrial heavyweights such as MZ.412, Murderous Vision, Stromstad, and Megaptera. Guest vocals by Jonathan Grieve (Contrastate). Mastered by Nordvargr. Ltd x 300 copies in a 6-panel digipak.
JEROME NOETINGER & ANTHONY PATERAS - '15 Coruscations' CD (Penultimate Press) - £11.50

"15 Coruscations" weaves frequencies and stirs data into an agitated series of deft psychoacoustic miniatures. Employing electronics as a deformed mirror reflecting joyous lacerations and interweavings, it borrows from both brut and skilled musical practises, emerging from the current despair to blister light across the moribund horizontalities of post-surveillance musical product. Both highly-respected composers / performers, Jérôme Noetinger (France) & Anthony Pateras (Australia) began their working relationship in 2009 in the Thymolphthalein quintet (Editions Mego, 2011). "15 Coruscations" is their latest testament to their quest for the unheard, deploying tape, computer, samplers, garbage, environmental recordings, lo-fi electronics, hi-fi circuitry and a deep love of all things concrète. Ltd x 300 copies in a digipak.
